Iowa Hawkeyes vs Iowa State Cyclones Line – September 12, 2015

Iowa is coming in off a 31-14 win over Illinois State. CJ Beathard went 15 of 24 for 211 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for 26 yards and added two rushing touchdowns. LeShun Daniels Jr. ran for 123 yards on 26 carries while Jordan Canzeri ran for 28 yards on five carries and also got in the end zone. Jordan Canzeri had 90 yards receiving while Matt VandeBerg added 59 yards and one receiving touchdown. The Hawkeyes are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games in September and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games.

Iowa State is coming in off a 31-7 win over UNI. Sam Richardson went 21 of 29 for 233 yards and two touchdowns. He also had seven rushes for -18 yards. Tyler Brown ran for 68 yards on 11 carries while Mike Warren added 19 yards on six carries. Dondre Daley led all receivers with 70 yards on four receptions with one touchdown. Quenton Bundrage had 53 yards while Allen Lazard had 43 yards receiving and one touchdown. The Cyclones are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four games following a win and 4-1 ATS in the last five non-conference games.

My Pick: Iowa State +3.5

I’m going with the home underdog in this one. I think this will be an exciting game that might come down to the wire. I like Richardson to have another big game and put up similar numbers that he had against UNI. Tyler Brown should also have another big game as long as he gets more carries then last game. I will side with the Cyclones.
