Louisiana Monroe Warhawks vs #9 Georgia Bulldogs Line – September 5, 2015

The Louisiana Monroe Warhawks (0-0) will visit the #9 Georgia Bulldogs (0-0) on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. The game will televise at 12 pm ET on SECN. The current odds list Georgia as a 35-point favorite with the over/under set at 53.5.

The Warhawks will look to improve from their 4-8 season last year. They managed to rush for under 900 yards as a team so they need quarterback Garrett Smith to step it up in a big way. Rashon Caesar will return as a senior and will hope to have a better year where he finished with just under 900 yards receiving. Ajalen Holley posted 863 yards and seven touchdowns last year and the #2 receiver. With a freshman quarterback and a weak running game, this could poise to be another rough season for the Warhawks.

Georgia will begin the season with Greyson Lambert under center but there is a good possibility that sophomore Brice Ramsey could see some playing time as the season progresses. Lambert transferred from Virginia after throwing for 1600 yards and 10 touchdowns in 9 games. He also added 11 interceptions and lost his starting role. The big hopeful for the Bulldogs will be Nick Chubb, who returns after rushing for over 1500 yards in 2014 and 14 touchdowns. He is a Heisman candidate this year and will look to add to his stellar year in 2014.

My Pick: Georgia -35

ULM has no offense. This Georgia defense should eat up this offense. I cannot see ULM scoring more than 10 points on the Bulldogs. Georgia should have a field day with their offense. It really comes down to how much Georgia wants to win by. I think they will not hold back in this game and should find a way to cover the spread for us.
