4-Unit Play: Take 927 MINNESOTA TWINS -1.5, RL, Over MARINERS (10:10pm E, Tuesday, June 15th: MIN: Happ. SEA: Flexen

We've said it many times, but the Mariners came out of the box showing more than they really have. They're a good team, but they're definitely not a great team and the Twins will handle them tonight. Happ's ERA of 5.75 is deceiving as is Flexen's 4.68 (for different reasons). The wind is blowing out at about 9 mph and we like the Minnesota sluggers to take advantage of that. It may be a different story tomorrow night, but the Twins take this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 905 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5, RL, Over BREWERS ( 8:10pm E, Tuesday, June 15th) CIN: Castillo. MIL: Anderson

We've been talking about Cincinnati's offense all year long and proved it yesterday with a 10-2 win and they'll prove it today, with Castillo on the mound. Castillo had a fantastic outing, the last time on the hill and we think his confidence is back where it should be and he'll shut down the Brewers tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 924 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, Over Tampa Bay (8:10pm E, Tuesday, June 15th) TB: McClanahan. CHW: Keuchel

We don't care who they're playing, the White Sox are a very good team and after losing last night at home 5-2, we don't see it tonight, especially with Keuchel on the mound. He will shut down the Rays' offense, while the Chicago bats will get noisy tonight. LaRussa will have something up his sleeve and he won't lose two nights in a row at home.

5-Unit Play: Take 930 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, Over RED SOX (7:20pm E, Tuesday, June 15th) BOS: Rodriguez. ATL: Davidson.

Well, the proof is in the pitching with Eduardo Rodriguez carrying a whopping 6.03 ERA against Tucker Davidson's 1.53. It doesn't end there, though. As we've said all year, Atlanta has energy, power, and speed up and down the lineup and Boston doesn't. Take the Braves to score early and often and run away with this one.

5-Unit Play: Take 958 STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL, Over Miami (8:15pm E, Monday, June 14th) MIA: Garrett. STL: Wainwright.

The Cardinals were embarrassed last night and they'll take it out on the Marlins. Adam Wainwright is the perfect go-to guy when they need a win. Their bats were quiet last night, and when they did liven up, it was right at somebody. They'll play excellent fundamental baseball tonight and hit it hard against Garret. It'll be high-scoring and it may be all Cards.

5-Unit Play: Take 969 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL Over White Sox (8:10pm E, Monday, June 14th) TB: Glasnow. White Sox: Lynn

Glasnow is about as good as they get and Lynn will get so flustered tonight, you'll see shades of red you've never seen before. The Rays will scatter the ball all over the field and you can also throw in a few balls that go yard and watch an easy Tampa Bay win. The form that brought them a Pennant will be on display tonight and there may be even a fight or two. Tonight will show you why they'll go deep into the 2021 tournament.

6-Unit Play: Take 954 NEW YORK METS -1.5, RL, Over CUBS (7:10pm E, Monday, June 14th) NYM: Peterson. CUB: Arrieta

Met's need to get back in their "smash em" form, as it's been lacking a little, lately. The Cubs are in a drought but still handled the Cardinals and last night was as boring as it gets. Look for New York to come right out of the gate aggressively, scoring, and scoring a lot. We won't be surprised if they reach double digits tonight and leave the Cubs in their wake. Wind is blowing out at 10 mph and LaGuardia may see some UFOs tonight. The Mets will win this one going away.

5-Unit Play: Take 957 SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5, RL, Over NY METS (4:10pm E, Saturday, June 12th) SD: Musgrove. NYM: Stroman

The Padres almost beat the best Mets there is, last night. With Musgrove on the mound for defense and those loud Padres bats for offense (with the wind blowing out to left) look for San Diego to score early and often. This offense will EXPLODE today - enjoy the and turn down the volume - those bats make a lot of noise.

4-Unit Play: Take 920 BOSTON RED SOX -1.5, RL, Over BLUE JAYS (7:10pm E, Friday, June 11th) TOR: Stripling. BOS: Richards

The Red Sox finally found their bats, yesterday, and we don't think they're going away for a while. Boston has Richards on the hill and he's going against a seemingly struggling Stripling. Typically, we'd take the Jays in this spot, but since the Red Sox are swinging the bats so well, along with the confidence that brings, and playing at home, and the wind blowing towards that big Green Monster again, we think Boston may just run away with this one. Let's win this one big, then have a tea party.

10-Unit Play: Take 914 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL, Over ORIOLES (7:10pm E, Friday, June 11th) BAL: Akin. TB: Yarbrough

The Orioles have been impressive lately. They've put up some good numbers and beaten some teams - AT HOME. That's the key: AT HOME. The Rays Yarbrough has quietly become one of the best pitchers in the bigs and have we forgotten that the Rays won the AL Pennant last year? This is basically the same team and they are GOOD. We expect them to make mockery out of the Orioles tonight and send them home to roost with a handsome defeat, maybe somewhere around 6-2... And it shouldn't be that close.

4-Unit Play: Take 960 MIAMI MARLINS -1.5, RL, Over ROCKIES (7:10pm E, Thursday, June 10th) COL: Gonzales. MIA: Rogers.

This game shouldn't even be on the board, in our opinion, except that Gonzales will give the Rockies a breath of a chance, even at sea level - just a breath. We know when to take the Rockies and when not to - this is NOT one of those times. Look for Rogers to completely shut down the Colorado bats and, by the 5th inning, look for the Marlins and Colorado to be on Rocky Mountain Highs, although two, very different ones. Miami swims away with this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 964 BOSTON RED SOX -1.5, RL, Over HOUSTON (7:10pm E, Thursday, June 10th) HOU: Greinke. BOS: Rodriguez.

Houston has, pretty much, had their way with Boston. Man, have they poured on the offense, but we see a different outcome, tonight. We expect Boston to play "Get Even" with the Stros and show off a little "O" of their own. Houston's pitcher Greinke can get rattled and when he does, he looks like a little kid who wants to take his baseball and go home. We think you'll side tonight, as the Red Sox slam ball after ball off the Green Monster, with the wind blowing that way and Boston pushing the "Revenge" button.

6-Unit Play: Take 908 CINCINNATI REDS Over BREWERS (7:10pm E, Wednesday, June 9th) MIL: Anderson. CIN: Guitiererrez.

The Reds were blindsided last night, both with an impressive defensive showing by the Brewers (you hold the Reds to 1 run in Cincinnati, you've done something) and with the injury to one of the league's best pitchers, Sonny Gray, they were a little concerned. That goes away tonight, with Guitierrez on the mound and we expect this offensive power team to show it all off tonight. We don't know what it takes to convince folks that the Reds have one of the best offensive teams in baseball, but tonight will go a long way. We expect a solid victory by the home team tonight and the Brewers' bats should be kept at bay. Oh, yeah, and Joe Votto should be starting tonight for the Reds - Welcome back, JV!

5-Unit Play: Take 904 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES -1.5, RL, Over BRAVES (7:05pm E, Wednesday, June 9th) ATL: Davidson. PHI: Eflin.

Enter the great rivalry between the Phillies and the Braves. The Phillies are a very good team, this year, as are the Braves and this is a perfect evening to lock onto the hometeam, after a 9-5 loss to the Braves, last night. Eflin is a go-to guy for the Phillies, one of the best pitchers in the league and we think this is a perfect time to pick up some $$$ with him. No doubt Tucker Davidson and his 2.31 ERA (on the mound for the Braves) is a terrific pitcher, but we like the Phillies' bats to get to him early and hopefully knock him out by the 5th inning.

5-Unit Play: Take 924 OAKLAND A'S -1.5, RL, Over DIAMONDBACKS (3:37pm E, Wednesday, June 9th) ARI: Peacock. OAK: Manaea.

Oakland, at home, Manaea on the mound, wind blowing almost straight out at about 14 mph, in a day game, all leads to, what we think is going to be an A's blowout. Diamondback's Peacock is a good pitcher in his own right, with his 4.41 ERA, but he's going against one of the best slugging teams in baseball and that 4.41, we think, will turn into a 9.41 ERA, before the 5th inning is through. Oakland, on a day where pop flies turn into 3 run homers should score a bushel of runs and win this one going away.

4-Unit Play: Take 962 DETROIT TIGERS -1.5, RL, Over SEATTLE (7:10pm E, Tuesday, June 8th) SEA: Gonzales. DET: Boyd

The Tigers have been showing us a team we didn't expect this year, and the Mariners are beginning to play EXACTLY like we expected. Matthew Boyd and his 3.90 ERA (he's really even better than that) will take it to Marco Gonzales and his 5.01. Tigers are really swinging the bats well and you look for a blowout tonight, once those bats warm up. Look for Jonathon Schoop to put some numbers up tonight. We love the Tigers in this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 958 MIAMI MARLINS -1.5, RL, Over ROCKIES (7:10pm E, Tuesday, June 8th) COL: Senzatela. MIA: LOPEZ

We've said it many times before, but there are only a few spots where we'll like the Rockies, this year, and this isn't one of them. Colorado is in a big rebuilding year and the Marlins are just beginning to come around. They are REALLY becoming a good ballclub and a hard club to beat. With Lopez on the mound, look for them to take this one easily.

4-Unit Play: Take 956 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5, RL, Over BREWERS (7:10pm E, Tuesday, June 8th) MIL: Houser. CIN: Gray

The Reds have found themselves. They are one of the best offensive teams in the bigs and, man, do they love to show it off to teams who have beaten up on them in the past. With Sonny Gray on the hill a team that just won't quit on offense, you can expect a lot out of them this year, but we love them tonight. The Brewers are going to run into a buzzsaw at 7:10 tonight and we're all over the Reds and watch it happen!

4-Unit Play: Take 963 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL, Over BOSTON (7:10pm E, Tuesday, June 8th) HOU: Valdez. BOS: PEREZ

The Astros have come alive, of late, and are playing like the team they were expected to be. Framber Valdez and his 1.64 ERA will stop the Red Sox in their tracks tonight and let Yuli Gurriel and the rest of that powerhouse offense bring them another win. We like the Sox in only certain places this year. They got up for the Yankee series, but we like Houston to bring them back to earth tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 960 STL CARDINALS -1.5 RL, OVER CINCINNATI (8:15pm E, Friday, June 4th) CIN: Castillo. STL: KIM

The Cardinals let one get away last night, but we don't see that happening with Kim and his 3.65 ERA on the hill tonight. The Red Birds should be able to pile up some hits against Castillo's 7.22 ERA and having some friendly noise in Busch stadium won't hurt, either. Look for the Cards to jump on the Reds early and often and fly away with this one.

5-Unit Play: Take 952 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES -1.5 RL Over NATIONALS (7:05pm E, Friday, June 4th) WAS: Scherzer. PHI: Wheeler.

At first look, you'd definitely lean towards the Washington Nationals on this play. Scherzer doesn't lose very often, but he doesn't play a solid, hungry Philly team, with Wheeler on the mound very often, either. Believe it or not, Wheeler is just a few ticks higher on the ERA map than Scherzer and the Philly bats are really good this year. Don't be surprised if they swat the Nats and get to Scherzer early.

5-Unit Play: Take 908 STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL, +135 Over REDS (8:15pm E, Thursday, June 3rd) STL: Wainwright. CIN: Gutierrez.

The Cardinals are happy to be back home and definitely out of La La Land. Look for Adam Wainwright to be just what the doctor ordered against Gutierrez for the Reds. This should be a relatively high scoring game and, although the Reds have good hitters, the Cards have great sluggers and you know how much we love sluggers, especially in a big park. Take the Cards to win their first game in this series at Busch.

4-Unit Play: Take 924 COLORADO ROCKIES -1.5, RL, +150 Over TEXAS (3:10pm, E, Thursday, June 3rd) TEX: Foltynewicz. Colorado: Gomber.

You won't see us Run Lining the Rockies much this year, as they're in a rebuilding year and are not looking great. However, they have been hitting the ball better and they'd like to take their frustrations out on someone. The Rangers are the perfect someone. Gomber will out pitch Foltynewicz and the Rockies will hit and slug their way to a high-scoring victory in the high country.

4-Unit Play: Take 902 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, +145 Over NATIONALS (12:20pm E, Thursday, June 3rd) WAS: Corbin. ATL: Davidson

We're not big fans of Patrick Corbin and his 6.23 ERA, but we do like Tucker Davidson and we (we've said it a million times) REALLY like the Braves' offense and especially their energy. Look for the Braves to walk away with this one and knock Corbin out in 5 innings. The Braves are going to go a long way this year!

4-Unit Play: Take 966 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL Over TB RAYS (7:05pm E, Wednesday, June 2nd) TB: McClanahan. NYY: Montgomery.

With the monkey off their back, watch the Bronx Bombers go to work today. Montgomery will hold Tampa Bay down, while Judge, Stanton (who sat out Tuesday), and Torres (also sat out Tuesday), come to life and make a distant memory out of that 4-game losing streak. Their offense has looked like the Lady Yanks the past couple of weeks, but it's amazing what one game can do to the confidence and the Rays have been just a little too cocky. Yanks take this one and take the cockiness out on them!

4-Unit Play: Take 956 ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS -1.5, RL Over METS (3:40pm E, Wednesday, June 2nd) ARI: Bumgarner. NYM: Stroman

How do you put the 20-36 Arizona Diamondbacks and the word "streaking" in the same sentence? What, are they playing without uniforms? No, we're talking about the D-Backs, Pavin Smith and his 12-Game Hit Streak. With their bats warming up and Madison Bumgarner on the mound, the Mets will be held at bay, while the Backs 1 and 2 run them to death all day. Take the Backs and Madison in this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 954 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, Over PADRES (2:20pm E, Wednesday, June 2nd) CUB: Alzolay. SD: Lamet.

The Cubbies just barely got by the Padres yesterday which messed up our Run Line Play, but they had their chances. We think they'll take advantage of them today. Hendricks pitched an excellent game and we expect the same out of Alzolay and his 3.81 today. Padres are on a 3 game skid. What better place to make it 4, than in the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field. These are not your Grandfather's Cubs!

4-Unit Play: Take 978 KANSAS CITY ROYALS -1.5, RL, Over PIRATES (8:10pm E, Monday, May 31st,) KC: Minor. PIT: Kuhl

Pirates' pitcher Chad Kuhl, 0-1, with few starts this year, takes on solid Royals' pitcher, Mike Minor, 3-2 with a 4.83 ERA. The Royals need a blowout win and what better spot than at home, against the weak Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates had a hard time scoring enough runs against the hapless Rockies - we think they'll REALLY struggle against the Royals. The Royals' bats should light up Memorial Day.

4-Unit Play: Take 956 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, Over NATIONALS (5:10pm E, Monday, May 31st) WAS: Ross. ATL: Morton

The Braves at home with Charlie Morton on the mound - it doesn't get much better than that - and rested after a postponed game last night. The Braves are one of our favorite offensive teams this year and we definitely like them at home tonight. Not only are they good hitters, they are great baserunners, with a ton of energy and create havoc for opposing pitchers. Look for them to beat up on the Nats, today!

4-Unit Play: Take 964 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, Over RAYS (1:05pm E, Monday, May 31st) NYY: Tallion. TB: Hill

It's rare when the Yankees lose three games in a row, but when they have, and they're coming back home (today), these are times they usually explode. With the wind blowing out towards the left field porch at 7-8 mph, look for a lot of runs in this game and most of them by the Yanks. They don't take losing very well and their paybacks are hell.

5-Unit Play: Take 906 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, +175 Over REDS (2:20pm E, Sunday, May 30th) CUBS: Arrieta. REDS: Mahle.

Jake Arrieta takes his miniscule 1.27 ERA against Tyler Mahle's 3.58. Folks, if we could, we'd release a lot more units on this game, than 5. The Cubs are playing great ball on both sides and Cincinnati is just trying to hang in there and hope something happens. We don't see it against Arrieta. If Rizzo happens to play today (which we guess he will) count this game as a win, right now. Cubs win again, BIG!

4-Unit Play: Take 928 TB RAYS -1.5, RL, +160 Over PHILLIES (1:10am E, Sunday, May 30th) PHI: Eflin. TB: McHugh.

The Tampa Bay Rays are just playing great baseball. Zach Eflin takes the mound against Collin McHugh in a game that should produce more runs than yesterday. The Phillies are a really good team, but the Rays are playing as well as anyone in baseball, on both sides of the ball. We like the Tampa Bay Rays to back up yesterday's win, with another strong showing today.

10-Unit Play: Take 978 BOSTON RED SOX -1.5, RL Over MARLINS (4:10pm E, Saturday, May 29th) BOS: Eovaldi. MIA: Rogers Nobody likes facing Boston's Eovaldi, but especially in this weather. Just like yesterday, wind will be blowing in at over 15, drizzle to rain predicted, and a wet field. Red Sox had no problem with it yesterday, we just wish (for our 7-Unit Play) it could have gone 8.5 innings. Boston is hitting the ball well and doing all the right things to win games, big. We think you'll see one today.

4-Unit Play: Take 952 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, Over CINCINNATI (2:20pm E, Saturday, May 29th) CUBS: Davies. REDS: Castillo Cubs won the game yesterday, but needed one more run to cover our Run Line. They almost got it in the 7th and 8th, with a foul ball (just foul) and a shot 4-feet from the wall. We think they will today. Same conditions: wind blowing in and temp in the mid-50s. We think the Cubbies will adjust to their park better than the Reds and we'll take Davies on the mound. Watch the Cubs get by the Reds by quite a few today - the value is too good to pass up. We just hope Rizzo plays. He didn't play yesterday and is questionable today, with a tight back. This isn't the type of weather to loosen it up. They should handle them, even without him.

4-Unit Play: Take 976 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL, Over PHILLIES (1:10pm E, Saturday, May 29th) PHI: Wheeler. TB: Yarbrough

With Tampa Bay having the best record in the league and Yarbrough and his 4.31 ERA and Philadelphia with a litany of injuries, Wheeler had better go 6 innings plus, because if they go to their lousy bullpen too early, they could be in trouble. Yes, Wheeler is a very good pitcher, but we feel that makes it a wash, maybe slightly favors the Rays. So we'll take the value of almost 2-1 odds, any day on a game like this. Light it up Rays!

4-Unit Play: Take 910 ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS -1.5, Over STL CARDINALS (9:40pm E, Friday, May 28th) STL: Oviedo. AZ: Bumgarner

Madison Bumgarner is just what the doctor ordered to bring an end to the Diamondbacks' 11-game losing streak. The Cardinals counter with Johan Oviedo, who is 0-2 this season. The main job for Bumgarner is going to be to keep Nolan Arenado and Javier Molina off the base pads. He does that and Arizona should score enough early for them to be able to run away with this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 918 MINNESOTA TWINS -1.5, RL over ROYALS (8:10pm E, Friday, May 28th) Twins: Dobnak, Royals: Bubic

The Royals roll into Minnesota to take on the Twins, who have finally found their bats. Their slugging percentage is 4th in the League at .424, led by Nelson Cruz (big surprise) with a slugging percentage of .524. Twins should handle struggling KC, as they're catching the Royals at a time when they can really steamroll them.

4-Unit Play: Take 902 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5 RL Over REDS (2:20pm E, Friday, May 28th) Cubs: Alzolay. Reds: Gutierrez

The Cubs are coming home after a red hot road trip and the friendly confines of Wrigley Field are just what they need to keep that momentum and blow out the Reds. They got a little lucky in Pittsburgh yesterday, but they shouldn't need any luck today. If Kris Bryant continues his good hitting and Alzolay can the wind blowing in at 21 can keep Jesse Winker in the ballpark, the Cubbies should walk away with this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 918 LA Angels -1.5, RL Over TEXAS (4:07pm E, Wednesday, Wednesday, May 26th) Angels: Canning. Texas: Dunning Time for Canning and his 5.56 ERA to turn things around against Dunning and 3.74 ERA. It's also time for the Angels to start hitting. We say it'll be tonight and the Rangers are the perfect team to take it out on. Look for their bats come the Angels to blow someone out for a change.

4-Unit Play: Take 926 White Sox-1.5, RL, Over CARDINALS (2:10pm, E, Wednesday, May, 26th) WHITE SOX: RODON, CARDINALS: GANT. John Gant is a good pitcher with a 2.07 ERA, but he can't compete with Carlos Rodon's 1.27 ERA and the Cardinals can't compete with the White Sox bats. Take the White Sox on the Run Line to beat the Cards by more than 2 runs and we think, more than that.

4-Units: Take 956 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL, +110 Over REDS (7:05pm, E, Tuesday, May 25th) Reds: Mahle. Nationals: Scherzer

What is there to say, except one of the best pitchers on the planet, Scherzer, is going against a good player on the planet, Mahle. Scherzer with his 2.24 ERA and Mahle with his 4.00 ERA. Nationals have a better hitting team, a better slugging team, and oh yeah, a pitcher that, every year he plays, has a good chance of winning the Cy Young. Any questions? Take Washington to walk away, briskly, from the Reds, in this one.

4-Units: Take NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, +105 Over TORONTO (7:05pm E, Tuesday, May 25th) Yankees: Kluber. Blue Jays: Matz.

The Blue Jays' confidence has got to be in shambles after the series against the Rays and NOW they have to go play the Yankees in New York? That can't help. Maybe they can stop and play a high school team on the way to bump their spirits. Yanks don't like the Jays much, either, so that doesn't help. New York walks away with this one - chalk up another win in the Bronx!

5-Unit Play: Take 916 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, Over STL CARDINALS (8:10pm, E, Monday, May 24th) White Sox: Lynn. Cardinals: Kim The Cardinals bats have really cooled off, lately, as they let the Cubs beat them 2-1 last night in St. Louis! The White Sox are glad to be home and should put some runs on the board this evening, even against the very good Cardinals pitcher, Kim - the Sox are a VERY dangerous team. Kim has only a 2.73 ERA, but Lance Lynne has only a 1.55 ERA and if there is one team Lynn likes to beat, it's the St. Louis Cardinals! With that incentive and the hot White Sox's bats, they should easily get by the Cardinals tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 906 MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1.5, RL, Over PADRES (7:40pm E, Monday May 24th) Milwaukee: Woodruff. Padres: Snell. Two really good pitchers on the mound today: Blake Snell for the Padres and his 3.79 ERA and Brandon Woodruff and his 1.58 ERA, but it looks like the Brewers are swinging the bats better. Woodruff has been almost unhittable this year, so they won't have to score too many to walk away from the Padres. Grab a cold one and watch the Brewers thump the Padres.

4-Unit Play: Take 907 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL, Over Blue Jays (1:07pm E, Monday, May 24th) Rays: Yarbrough. Jays: Stripling. Tampa Bay is riding a 10-game winning streak and the Blue Jays are on a 5-game losing streak. Two teams, at the moment, going in opposite directions. The Rays have Ryan Yarbrough on the mound, with his 4.24 ERA and the Blue Jays counter with Ross Stripling and his 7.20 ERA. The Jays' pitching staff is in disarray and if you watched the game yesterday and saw the way Tampa Bay scored 4 runs in the ninth, to take a 2-run lead, you know why. We like the Rays to feed off that momentum and score early and often today.

4-Unit Play: Take 918 KANSAS CITY ROYALS -1.5, RL, Over DETROIT (4:10pm E, Saturday, May 22nd)

Detroit slid by the Royals last night, but that won't happen tonight. Regardless of ERAs, the Royals have a solid bullpen and, just in case Singer gets in trouble (we don't think he will), he has good backups. The Royals have not hit many home runs this year, but look for that to change today with the wind blowing out to left at over 10 mph.

4-Unit Play: Take 914 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, Over White Sox (1:05pm E, Saturday, May 22nd)

We all know what happened to Garrett Cole in his last outing: the Rangers knocked him out early. Yes, the Texas Rangers beat up on the Yankees and took it out on Cole. That won't happen today. One of the best pitchers in baseball (#2 barely behind Jacob DeGrom) will turn things around - we guarantee you he's been looking for a way to get that taste out of his mouth. He will today and the Yankees will explode with runs.

4-Unit Play: Take 974 LA ANGELS -1.5, RL, OVER OAKLAND A'S (9:38pm E, Friday, May 21st) Oakland's Kaprielian and his 1.80 ERA against the Angels' Quintana and his 8.53 ERA. This looks easy, right? 1.80 against 8.53? No, it's not that easy. The Angels are back to hitting the ball well and they can't wait to bring those hot bats home and show them to their fans. Forget the pitching numbers - this one is going the Angels' way and it's not if, it's how many!

4-Unit Play: Take 957 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, Over STL CARDINALS (8:15pm E, Friday, May 21st) One of the great rivalries in all of baseball. The 1st place Cards against the 2nd place Cubs. Cubs' pitcher, Hendricks, is making the ball move and dance, like never before and the Cubs would love to take this series and flip things around. That's not going to be easy, but we sure like them winning tonight. Look for the Cubs to come out hot, feeding off yesterday's 5-2 win over the Nationals.

4-Unit Play: Take 953 MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1.5, RL, OVER CINCINNATI REDS (7:10pm E, Friday, May 21st) The Brewers are playing much better baseball than the Reds, right now. It's not that they're that much better than the Reds, they're in last place in their division, for criminy - it's just that, with injuries to a few of the Reds' best players and Houser against Hoffman on the mound, we see them dominating this game, if not the series. The Reds and their powerful offense will get going, someday, but the question is when - we sure don't think it'll be tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 975 HOUSTON ASTROS over Oakland (9:40pm E, Wednesday, May 19th)

The Astros, after leading last night's game, for most of it, let it get away and it got away from us, too. Greinke is just the person Houston needs to shut down Oakland's offense and feel a little better about themselves, tonight. Altuve has a 12 game hitting streak and he'll keep that going tonight against Montas and his 4.93 ERA. Look for Houston to run away from the A's tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 974 LA ANGELS -1.5, RL, Over INDIANS (8:07pm E, Wednesday, May 19th)

The Angel lost a game they should have won, last night, and they plan to make up for it in a big way tonight. They have one of the best teams in the bigs and one of their best pitchers, Heaney, let Cleveland off the hook last night. Tonight they have Ohtani (probably the player in the MLB) going against Civale. Ohtani is a freak of nature: he throws 100 mph and has 10 homers. The Indians would rather face ANYONE but him. Look for the Angels to put their wings on tonight and ride Ohtani to an easy win!

4-Unit Play: Take 956 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, Over NATIONALS (7:40pm E, Monday, May 17th)

Lot's of hitters and sluggers on both teams and the wind is blowing in, so we don't expect a 15-10 game, but we do expect enough runs to cover the "Over 8." Two or three throws over to first base, like mentioned above and this game can get out of hand quickly. The wind isn't blowing hard enough to keep sluggers, on both sides, from taking it out of the park.

4-Unit Play: Take 954 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, (7:10pm E, Monday, May 17th)

A week ago, this preview would, most likely be, much different. The Braves hadn't begun lighting up the scoreboard, yet and the Mets were in the middle of a 7 game win streak. The Mets roster, now, looks like the list from a trauma ward and the Braves are showing the energy we've been talking about, most of the year. Taijuan Walker (Mets) has almost a third the ERA of Max Fried, but that's a little deceiving. Look for the Braves to score enough runs to easily carry the Run Line.

4-Unit Play: Take 920 MINNESOTA TWINS -1.5, RL, +170 Over OAKLAND (2:10 pm E, Sunday, May 16th)

Minnesota is finally starting to play like they did the first part of the season. This is a darn good team, folks, and they can flat out hammer the ball. With Maeda on the mound, look for them to look like the slugging team they are, today and win this game going away. They are the third best slugging team in the American League and they'll show it off today for their hometown crowd. It's about time!

4-Unit Play: Take: 953 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, BREWERS (7:10pm E, Saturday, May 15th)

Atlanta is starting to come to life and man, do they have energy. We think as much as any team in baseball. Milwaukee is more of a slugging team and with drizzle and wind blowing in at over 10 mph, we're going to give the nod to the team who'll get the most base hits and who has the most energy and can steal a run, now and then. On the hill, it's the battle of the Andersons, both with ERAs hanging around 3.50. We like the Braves to build off yesterday's victory and run away with this one.

4-Unit Play: Take: 965 LA ANGELS -1.5, RL, Over RED SOX (4:10pm E, Saturday, May 15th)

The Angels look to break a 3-game losing streak in Boston, today. Typically, we might take Boston in this spot, but the wind is blowing out to the Green Monster and there are few better slugging teams in the bigs, than the Angels. Everyone who comes to the plate, looks like they should take it out of the park. Boston is a great slugging team, too. Though the small home ballpark helps a little. Dylan Bundy and Martin Perez (Boston) take the mound, both looking for their first win of the season. We like the Angels to stun Boston, with the wind blowing to left field, in their own ballpark, today.

7-Unit Play: Take 976 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL Over NY METS (1:10pm E, Saturday, May 15th)

Rays got a good pitching performance, yesterday, from Glasnow and look to keep the Mets down again, today. Rays are finally beginning to look like the reigning American League Champs. Today NY sends out Drew Smith, who hasn't pitched enough to have a real ERA - we don't see him staying in, long. Compare that to Shane McClanahan's 3.75 and you've all the reasons you need from the pitching side and Rays are a better hitting team and are just now starting to show it. Take the Rays to get the Mets closer to the .500 team, they're more comfortable being.

4-Unit Play: Take 912 SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5, RL Over St. Louis Cardinals (10:10pm E, Friday, May 14th) The Cardinals are playing good ball this year, but San Diego, at night, is a tough place to play, the first game of a series, especially after a tough and tiring series with the Brewers. Johan Oviedo and his 4.61 ERA takes the hill against the Padres' Joe Musgrove and his 3.23 Earned Run Average.We like the Padres in a low-scoring affair, due the heavy night air of San Diego.

4-Unit Play: Take 906 COLORADO ROCKIES Over CINCINNATI (8:40pm E, Friday, May 14th) The Rockies are in a rebuilding year, but you wouldn't know it by yesterday's 13-8 whipping of the Reds - and it really wasn't even that close. We like them to take that confidence into today's game. Wade Miley, for the Reds, has looked good this year, but the thin air of Denver makes it an interesting place to play. We don't like the Rockies in a lot of games, but after yesterday, we sure like them today, especially the way they're hitting.

4-Unit Play: Take DETROIT TIGERS -1.5, RL, OVER KC ROYALS (1:10pm E, Thursday, May 13th)

If it didn't fit our System so well, this would be a tough play for us to make, but it does and we succeed because we're true to our System. The Royals are looking to stop a 10-game skid and Lynch, with his astronomical ERA isn't the guy to do it and Turnbull, for Detroit is not the guy to let them. Detroit has had a lousy year, thus far, but when a Tiger smells meat, it attacks. We expect that, today. The Tigers have NO sympathy for the Royals and, if they can beat them by 10, they will. We think they'll win handily.

4-Unit Play: Take 926 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, Over TORONTO (7:20 E, Wednesday, May 12th) The Atlanta Braves have been hit and miss this year, so far. One day the offense shows up, the next it doesn't - and it's a very good offense, when it's clicking. Ryu and his 3.31 ERA is, of course, a really good pitcher and Fried, for the Braves has a very deceiving 8.44 ERA. So, if all you look at is ERAs, you'd take the Blue Jays, but there is so much more to this game: it's in Atlanta; Braves have very few injuries and will light it up today!

4-Unit Play: Take CLEVELAND INDIANS -1.5, RL Over CUBS (1:10pm E, Wednesday, May 12th) We don't get this line. The Indians are a VERY GOOD team, this year and with the Cub's Davies ERA at 6.30, it just doesn't make sense. Sam Hentges is not a lot better at 5.00, but the Indians have a much better offense and should dominate this game, especially at home. Cleveland just barely slid by them yesterday, but we like a lot more runs in this one and an Indian’s victory.

4-Unit Play: Take 970 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL Over LA ANGELS (8:10pm E, Tuesday, May 11th)

We know, it's hard to go against the Angels when Ohtani's pitching and he's got a darn good bat, too. One of the most fun players to watch in baseball and he's probably the best on the mound and with the bat, since Babe Ruth (good company to be in). But, don't overlook Lance McCullers and the Houston lineup, at home. McCullers is pitching about as well as anyone and Houston is a hard place for visiting pitchers - it can get away from them fast. We like the Astros to start this series off with a big win.

4-Unit Play: Take 976 NY METS -1.5, RL Over BALTIMORE (7:10pm E, Tuesday, May 11th)

Yes, we know what you're thinking: "But Means just threw a no-hitter his last time out - almost a perfect game." We know, we watched it and that's exactly why we're taking Stroman (who's no slouch) and the Mets, at home. If you watch much PGA Tour Golf, you'll notice that when guys shoot 63 on Thursday, they usually follow that up with an even par day (or worse) on Friday. Why? Because Thursday was so easy and EVERYTHING went their way, so they take things for granted and (usually) everything doesn't go so well on Friday. Same thing with a no-hitter. Means will take things for granted and the pitches won't react the same in New York. Baltimore is coming off a big win, which we predicted, yesterday. We expect things to be much different, today.

4-Unit Play: Take 954 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL Over PHILLIES (7:05pm E, Tuesday, May 11th)

We've said this so many times, but the Nationals are loaded, up and down the lineup, with sluggers. Phillies have a few of their own, but it seems like everyone but the pitcher can take it yard for the Nats. Both Chase Anderson and Eric Fedde have ERAs over 5 and we think that favors the team with the most sluggers. Look for Washington, at home, to take game one of this series.

5-Unit Play: Take 901 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5, RL, Over PIRATES (6:35 pm E, Monday, May 10th)

Pirates are playing good ball and they were our 7 Unit Play, yesterday, but they don't match up well with the Reds. The Big Red Machine has a stacked offense this year and, though they haven't shown it as much lately, look for it to breakout against the weaker and injured Pirates. The Pirates first base slugger, Moran, is still injured with a groin injury from Saturday's game and Votto, for the Reds is out, as well, so those two even out, but the rest of the Pittsburgh lineup doesn't match up at all and the Reds should roll today, with Jeff Hoffman on the mound and against Mitch Keller's 6.29 ERA.

5-Units: Take 913 TAMPA BAY -1.5, RL, Over OAKLAND (4:07pm E, Saturday, May 8th) Rays' Glasnow has a third of the ERA of Montas, so look for Tampa Bay to jump on the A's early and keep the pedal down. If they can get 6 innings + out of Glasnow, they should be able to cruise home. Rays haven't gotten much respect this year, yet, but we like them getting hot, before the All Star break. It starts right here and this should be a blowout.

5-Unit Play: Take 976 NY YANKEES -1.5 RL Over NATIONALS (7:05pm E, Friday, May 8th)

The Yankees can't feel good losing their last game of the series to the Astros. After the cheating scandal in 2019, they (and their fans) wanted a sweep in the worst way. We think they'll come out steaming, this afternoon and, as well, Manager Aaron Boone is pushing them hard to win the first game of every series - you do that and you'll probably win your division. Nats pitcher, Corbin, doesn't impress us and the Yanks have a great bullpen, just in case Taillon and his 5.24 ERA gets in trouble. Soto is back for the Nats, but we don't think he'll be much of a factor, with the wind blowing in. This should be a pitcher's duel and we'll take Taillon over Corbin.

5u: Take 901 BREWERS -1.5. RL, +150 (1:05pm E, Thursday, May 6th)

We'll take the way Woodruff is pitching over anyone and the Brewers can HIT! Take the Brewers to win this one, easily.

5-Units: Take 955 ATLANTA -1.5, RL, Over NATIONALS Fried doesn't have the record to show it, yet, but he is one damn good pitcher. Fedde is good for the Nationals, too, but just a 5.00 ERA. The two don't belong in the same ballpark and after the Braves' performance, yesterday, look for them to build on it and score, even more, than they did yesterday. This seems almost too easy.

5-Units: Take 980 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5, RL, Over WHITE SOX Always hard to go against Dallas Keuchel, but Sonny Gray has been pitching well and after yesterday, the Reds offense has something to prove. Look for them to prove it, in a high scoring game, today!

5-Units: Take 926 OAKLAND -1.5, RL, +160 Over TORONTO (9:40pm, E, Tuesday, May 4th)

Irvin's 3.67 ERA should be a sign that he's better than Kay's 10.80 ERA, but the oddsmakers aren't paying attention. We are. Take the A's at home to beat the Blue Jays, again.

5-Units: Take 924 LA ANGELS -1.5, RL, +165 (9:38pm E, Tuesday, May 4th)

Mclanahan, for Tampa Bay, has a much better ERA, but don't let that fool you. Angels are as good a team and Cobb is a better pitcher. Look for the Angels to take the Rays, tonight.

5-Unit Play: Take 963 INDIANS -1.5, RL, Over ROYALS (8:10pm E, Monday, May 3rd)

Indians are a MUCH better team than they've been showing (yes, they're really that good!). They have no holes in their offense, or defense. Civale, their starting pitcher isn't getting the credit he deserves. Take Indians to go into KC and win this 1st night of the series. If you haven't watched them, do. Every batter, except the pitcher, of course, is scary to the opposing team.

5-Unit Play: Take 952 PHILLIES -1.5, RL (7:05pm E, Monday, May 3rd)

Philadelphia is coming off a heart-breaking Sunday night loss. They will come out ready to play tonight. Valasquez is in "prove myself" mode, as he takes the mound with an over 6 ERA. We expect the Phillies to redeem last night's loss and the Brewers to be worn out after the series with the Dodgers. The Brewers may come out flat and overconfident, which we expect. Let's pick up a big run-line game.

5 Units: Take 914 PHILLIES -1.5, RL, +170 (7:08pm E, Sunday, May 2nd)

New bad blood has been created between these two teams and the Phillies, Eflin, has gotten off to a good start, this year (almost a two run ERA difference, between he and Peterson. Look for a lot of a runs and don't be surprised if there's a bench clearing brawl, once or twice, in this one. This should be fun to watch.

5 Units: Take 927 LA  ANGELS - 1.5, RL, +105 Over Mariners (4:10pm E, Sunday, May 2nd)

The Mariners have surprised a lot of people, this year, but the Angels, with a better pitching matchup and a good mix of hitters and sluggers, should take this one, easily.

5-Units: Take 973 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL,Over TAMPA BAY (4:10pm, E, Saturday, May 1st)

Yesterday, Houston showed what they're capable of, on both offense and defense, winning 9-2 in Tampa. We think they'll ride that high and have another strong showing, today. Their offensive numbers are about as high as any team's, and one of their stars, Jose Altuve, hasn't started to hit, yet. Houston, after breaking a 3-game road losing streak, yesterday, should outslug the Rays, today.

5-Units: Take 968 MINNESOTA TWINS -1,5, RL,Over KC ROYALS (2:10pm E, Saturday, May 1st)

Royals are a good team and Duffy is a very good pitcher, but the Twins are the 3rd best slugging team in the American League and they've not lived up to their expectations, yet. We think today is another big slugging day, for them. At home, 80 degrees, and wind blowing out to left centerfield. The ball will carry and we're giving a big nod to the home team sluggers.

4-Units: Take 905 MIAMI -1.5, RL Over WASHINGTON (7:05pm E, Friday, April 30th)

Miami's offense has been great and Pablo Lopez, except for the game against the Braves has been really solid. Look for that tonight in Washington and watch the Marlins bats explode!

5-Units: 961 OAKLAND -1.5, RL OVER TAMPA BAY (1:10pm E, Thursday, April 29th)

Oakland felt embarrassed last night and the Rays rubbed it in a bit. The Sluggin' A's will get revenge today with Bassitt on the mound and we think will take Mcclanahan deep 5+ times. Oakland gets their revenge. This is not the same Oakland team we're used to - this is what they wanted the MoneyBall team to be.

5-Units: Take 959 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL (1:05pm E, Thursday, April 29th)

Okay, they Yanks have convinced us that they're back. With the wind blowing out at over 10 mph we expect an explosion of runs from them today. Montgomery had a so-so game, his last game out but he should out-pitch Lopez, easily.

5-Units: Take 901 MIAMI -1.5, RL, OVER MILWAUKEE (1:40pm E, Wednesday, April 28th) Alacantara has really been showing some good stuff and we definitely like the matchup against the Brewers. Look for a low scoring game, but Miami should score most of the runs. Milwaukee will need a brew after this one.

5-Units: Take 920 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL, Over LA ANGELS (4:10pm E, Saturday, April 24th)

Houston is in dire need of a win and where better than at home? Both starting pitchers have struggled this year, so it'll, most likely, come down to the bullpens. Astros are a much better team than they've been showing. Look for them to get back in orbit, today, with a much needed, big win!

6-Units: Take 969 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, OVER CLEVELAND (7:10pm E, Friday, April 23rd) Yesterday is ALL they Yankees needed to get them kickstarted, this season. You're going to see a different offensive team, now, and with Montgomery on the mound against Allen, look for a streak to begin.

5-Units: Take 906 SF GIANTS -1.5, RL Over MIAMI (9:45 pm E, Thursday, April 22nd)

Both teams are traveling, but SF is traveling home and can't WAIT to avenge yesterday's loss against the Phillies. Miami won yesterday, so won't have quite the urgency and will be a bit tired, so take Sanchez, at home, over Castano to win this one going away.

They've been awful, so far, but look for them to break out tonight and enjoy an easy win, at home, with Kluber on the mound.

4u: Take 904 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL, Over STL CARDINALS (7:05pm E, Tuesday, April 20th)

The Nats were embarrased on their home turf, yesterday. Today, they have Corbin going against Wainwright, a pitcher they have seen a ton of times. If Wainwright is on, he's tough to beat, but lately he hasn't shown the consistency of his youth. Look for Washington to jump on him early and often and have their own night to gloat.

4u: Take 924 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, Over Braves (6:35pm E, Tuesday, April 20th)

The Yankees havea had a hard time hitting, this year, but we expect them to break out against Charlie Morton. Yanks have a great scouting crew and Morton's been around a long time, with the same stuff. Look for him to have a hard time getting through 5 innings, if he can. We like the Yanks big, here.

4-Unit Play: Take 956 SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5, RL Over BREWERS (10:10pm E, Monday, April 19th) The Padres are playing excellent ball, right now - they are, simply, one of the toughest MLB teams to beat and especially at home. If there's any scoring done tonight, it'll be by the Padres, as Joe Musgrove (starting pitcher for the Pads) steps on the mound with a .47 ERA (yep, you read it right) AND a no-hitter already under his belt, this year. If you like scoring, there probably won't be a lot of it, but if you like the Padres, tonight, open some wine - it should be a very nice evening.

5-Unit Play: Take 960 KANSAS CITY ROYALS -1.5, RL Over TB RAYS (8:10pm E, Monday, April 19th) The Royals won a low scoring game, yesterday, but left 8 runners on, in the first 3-innings. That is, many times, a killer and one that ends up costing a team the game, but they hung in there for a hard-fought 2-0 win. Now, in to town, comes Tampa Bay, a team that everyone wants to beat, this year. The Royals proved yesterday that they have the guts and patience to beat anyone and will start Danny Duffy with a .75 ERA. If there are runs scored tonight, it'll be by KC, as that's about the best defense, all the way around, that a major league team can put on a field. This game should be a little easier than yesterday's.

4-Unit Play: Take 951 STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL Over NATIONALS (7:05pm E, Monday, April 19th) The Cardinals are starting to find their way, as both the offense and solid defense seems to be back. When both of them are back, they're one of the hardest teams to beat in MLB. Add consistent Jack Flaherty to that equation and it makes for a tough night's work. Cards should handle this on, easily.

5-Units: Take 927 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL, +130 Over Seattle Mariners (4:10pm, E, Sunday, April 18th)

Another game that should be just the opposite of yesterday's. Flexen kept the Astros' bats quiet, as Greinke got the win, 1-0. Houston is too good to keep down two days in a row and with Odorizzi on the mound, look for them to wallop the Mariners, with a big number. We like a Houston blowout, here.

5-Units: Take 906 PHILLIES -1.5, RL Over STL CARDINALS (7:05pm E, Friday April 16th) The Phillies are coming off of two series where they've been swinging very hot bats. They have as good of an offensive squad as they've had in years. On the other hand, the Cardinals are having trouble getting runs across the plate. They will open up, but let's catch them before they do. We see a pretty lopsided game, here.

4-Units: 905 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5 RL Over GIANTS (3:45pm E, Wednesday, April 14th)

Giants have been playing well - actually, a little over their heads. Cincinnati has a REAL ball team, this year and are going to be hard for anyone to beat. They also know Cueto, well, and should knock him out fairly early - something most teams won't be able to do. Look for the Reds to take this one fairly easily.

5-Unit Play: 910 STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL Over WASHINGTON (7:45pm E, Monday, April 12th)

The Cardinals were embarrassed, yesterday, as were we for taking them. Their bats are much better than what they showed, and Ponce de Leon let the game get away too early. Look for Gant to keep things in check and give STL a solid victory, which they desperately need. Molina and Arenado are hot - look for a LOT of runs from them, tonight.

6-Unit Play: STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL OVER BREWERS (2:15pm E, Sunday, April 11th)

Brent Anderson just hasn't shown much for Milwaukee and is simply not reliable. On the other hand, Ponce de Leon has been steady. Cardinals were frustrated with yesterday's loss and, like most teams, HATE to lose at home, especially on a Sunday. With Arenado on the squad, now, they have some very potent bats. Look for a big win, today!

5-Unit Play: Take SF GIANTS -1.5 RL over Colorado (4:35pm E, Friday, April 9th) Same as was mentioned above in the first 5 innings. Look for the Giant's Cueto to be dominant and for the Rockies, Gomber to struggle. Bullpens favor the Giants and the Giant's bats are no slouches, either. Cueto should also go MUCH deeper into the game, than Gomber. Look for SF to win this one, going away.

3-Unit Play: Take 903 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5 RL, Over PIRATES (1:35PM E, Thursday, April 8th)

With Arrieta on the mound, the Cubs are just simply hard to beat. With some new names swinging their bats well, Look for Cubs to focus on this Divisional game.
