11-19-20 | Cardinals v. Seahawks UNDER 58.5 | 21-28 | Win | 100 | 33 h 9 m | Show
The Seattle Seahawks were shutout in the 2nd half of Sunday's loss at the Rams. When was the last time that has happened to a Russell Wilson led team? So why did this happen? Wilson is getting beat up without a good offensive line in front of him. That's becoming apparent. And as such, I look for the Hawks to spend more time running the ball here tonight. They can't keep letting Wilson get hit as mush as he has been lately. The gameplan has to change tonight and for me I see much more running attack by Seattle. With that being said, that 58 point total looks like a mountain to me that these teams will not overcome. Then you add in possibly the wind and rain and that makes me like this play even more. I'm playing UNDER in this one on Thursday. |
11-18-20 | Northern Illinois v. Ball State OVER 61.5 | 25-31 | Loss | -112 | 6 h 27 m | Show
Northern Illinois playing its third game tonight after a pair of blowout losses. The Huskies opened with a loss at home to Buffalo, 30-49,failing to cover the 14.5 point line. Then last week they were blown out at home by Central Michigan, 10-40 as a 7-point dog. Ball State is 1-1 after losing their opener to Miami Ohio, 31-38 and then wining last week over Eastern Michigan, 38-31. Both games easily going over the total. The weather looks to be pretty good tonight with temps in the mid-40's with light winds. This one looks to be another shootout tonight with both team scoring and neither having much of a defense. Play the OVER. |
11-17-20 | Buffalo v. Bowling Green UNDER 58 | 42-17 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 51 m | Show
Buffalo Bulls brings their 2-0 record into Bowling Green tonight. The Bulls opened with a win over Northern Illinois, 49-30, then beat last year's MAC Champion Miami Ohio, 42-10. Bowling Green Falcons opened with a loss to Toledo, 3-38 and then lost to Kent State last week, 24-62. Buffalo is 21-7 ATS in their last 28 conference games. The Falcons are just 5-21 ATS in their last 26 at home and have gone UNDER in 14 of their last 19 games overall. Bowling Green has a tough schedule as they now plays their third good MAC team in a row and that will be another loss tonight. I'm looking at the total here. Buffalo can score at will against this team, but the Bulls defense should hold BG to very few if any points. I'm going to take the UNDER here tonight. |
11-16-20 | Vikings v. Bears UNDER 43.5 | 19-13 | Win | 100 | 50 h 56 m | Show
The Vikings coming off a big win at home over Detroit last week, 34-20. That's two big wins in a row since Dalvin Cook returned. The running game is piling up the yards with 275 last week and 173 the week before. Compare that to just 32 in their loss three weeks ago to Atlanta, 23-40. The Bears got stuffed last week in Tennessee, 17-27. The Bears defense did its job, holding the Titans to just 228 total yards. However, two turnovers were too much to overcome in the loss. The Bears are now 3-6 Over/Under on the season and 1-3 o/u at home. Chicago has the 30th ranked offense in the league this year. However, their defense is ranked 8th, 7th vs the pass and 14th vs the run. This one will all depend on how well the Vikings can run the ball against this Bears defense. I look for a low scoring game in this one. Take UNDER |
11-15-20 | Chargers v. Dolphins OVER 48 | 21-29 | Win | 100 | 22 h 43 m | Show
The Chargers look to snap a two game losing streak here on Sunday. They lost last week to the Raiders, 26-31 and the previous week to the Broncos, 30-31. The Chargers just can't seem to win close games as they had chances to win both games in the final seconds. Defense has been an issue, allowing 29 points or more in five straight games (all overs). Despite all the points allowed, they come in ranked 15th overall in defense. Meanwhile, Miami looks to win their third straight under their new rookie QB. The Dolphins won on the road last week at Arizona, 34-31. That followed a win at home over the Rams, 28-17. In both games the Dolphins were out gained in total yards. The defense and special teams have produced touchdowns in both games. Miami's 21st ranked defense will have to contend with Chargers' QB Hebert who is having an excellent season since taking over for Tyrod Taylor. The Chargers have the 3rd ranked overall offense, 5th in passing. I expect a lot of points on the board here today as neither defense likely to stop the opposing offense. Play OVER. |
11-15-20 | Bills v. Cardinals OVER 56 | 30-32 | Win | 100 | 22 h 43 m | Show
The Bills offense was clicking last week at home against Seattle in a big win, 44-34. Even though they ran the ball for just 34 yards, Josh Allen threw for 386 yards in the win. It was the team's second over in a row after they beat New England two weeks ago, 24-21. That ended a drought that saw the team score 18 or fewer points in three straight weeks. Arizona had no answer last week for Miami as they lost in a shootout, 31-34. The defense didn't play bad for giving up 34 points, allowing just 91 rushing yards and 221 passing yards. Arizona rushed for 178 yards and passed for 264 yards in the loss. It was the team's 2nd over after a 37-34 win the previous week over Seattle. Arizona has the league's 2nd ranked offense, 2nd rushing and 12th passing. Buffalo ranks 12th, 26th rushing and 7th passing. Both teams are about even defensively, with Buffalo coming in at 18th and Arizona 19th. I expect a lot of yards in this one and with that another OVER. Play OVER. |
11-15-20 | Texans v. Browns UNDER 46 | 7-10 | Win | 100 | 19 h 39 m | Show
Cleveland had last week off. Good thing too with some Covid concerns and also injuries. Those appear to be solved here today. However, if you remember back to their Nov 1 game vs the Raiders they had high winds and it really shut down the scoring. The Browns had just 223 totals yards and neither team got over 122 yards passing. Well, it's deja vu all over again here today. Winds are expected over 20 mph throughout the game and for me, that means another ground and pound game from both teams. With that, I'll throw out stats in this one and put my money on the wind and in this case, the UNDER |
11-15-20 | Jaguars v. Packers UNDER 49 | 20-24 | Win | 100 | 19 h 39 m | Show
Jacksonville finally got a spread win after five straight loss with their narrow defeat last week to Houston, 25-27. The defense held the Texans to just 374 yards in the loss. The Packers bounced back from their loss to the Vikings two weeks ago with a win over the SFO 49ers, 34-17. Green Bay has the 6th ranked overall offense this season. Jacksonville is 21st in the league. One factor not on the stat sheet today is the weather. Actually the wind, which will be blow up into the 20's here today. Winds effect play more than rain or possibly even snow. Jax QB Gardner Minshew will miss this game with a thumb injury. That will further hinder the scoring in this contest. I'm taking UNDER here today. |
11-08-20 | Dolphins v. Cardinals OVER 49 | 34-31 | Win | 100 | 19 h 59 m | Show
The Tua Tagovailoa era began last week as the rookie made his first start of the season at home against the Rams. If you look at just the final score you would expect a big Miami offensive explosion as they won 28-17. However, it was defensive TD's that made the score and win for the Dolphins. The Rams had 471 yards to just 145 for the Dolphins. Tua had just 90 passing yards and the offense 55 rushing yards. It was the four Rams turnovers that inflated that score. Now they had better find some offense at they travel to Arizona to face the high scoring Cardinals. Arizona has the 2nd ranked offense, 2nd rushing and 14th passing. Miami's defense got all the credit last week, but overall they are just 20th in the league and 26th against the pass. That will be the test this week. I don't believe the Dolphins have much shot against this Cardinals team that is leaps and bounds above them on the offensive sides of the ball. Expect lots of points in this one, likely most coming from the birds side of the column. Play the OVER. |
11-08-20 | Raiders v. Chargers OVER 52.5 | 31-26 | Win | 100 | 19 h 39 m | Show
The Vegas Raiders ran into a whipping wind storm in Cleveland last week and that resulted in a low scoring game that Vegas won, 16-6. Vegas held the Browns to just 223 total yards, 101 rushing and 122 passing. Despite the winds, there was only one turnover and that was by Cleveland. The Chargers lost a heartbreaker on the last play of the game last week at Denver, 30-31. Bad coaching seems to be the norm these days for the Chargers. LA had 82 plays to just 57 by Denver and had 485 yards to just 351. Chargers QB Justin Herbert is having a great season since taking over early in the year for Tyrod Taylor. Herbert threwe for 275 yards and has now eclipsed 1500 yards on the season. The Chargers have the 3rd best offense in the league, 6th in passing and 8th in rushing. The Raiders have the 8th overall offense, 7th in rushing and 10th in passing. Both teams not very good on the defensive side, with the Chargers ranked 18th and the Raiders 21st. Vegas has gone over in six of their seven games this season while the Chargers are 4-3 o/u on the season. I expect a lot of offense here in the Sofi Stadium. I'm taking OVER. |
11-08-20 | Seahawks v. Bills OVER 55 | 34-44 | Win | 100 | 16 h 33 m | Show
Seattle makes the cross country trip to take on the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo held on to beat the New England Patriots last week, 24-21, but didn't cover the 4-point line. Buffalo was slightly outplayed, but got the big plays when they needed them. Seattle once again in a shootout, beating San Francisco 37-27 as a 1-point favorite. The Seahawks and 49ers each had 35 yards and the lone advantage came in rushing yards where Seattle had 101 to the Niners 51. Seattle has the top rated offense in the league and is 1st in passing and 12th in rushing. Buffalo is 13th in the league, 9th in passing and 21st in rushing. Issue for the Seahawks is that they are dead last in overall defense, 32nds vs the pass and 7th vs the rush. Buffalo doesn't have the defense they had last year, now ranking 16th overall, 10th vs the pass. These are two great over/under bets this year, between them they are 11-3 Over/Under. I look for another high scoring Seattle game this week. Take OVER. |
11-01-20 | 49ers v. Seahawks OVER 53 | 27-37 | Win | 100 | 20 h 29 m | Show
The San Francisco 49ers went into Foxboro last week and demolished the Patriots, 33-6. The Niners had 467 yards to just 241 for the Pats. The Niners also rushed for 197 yards in the game. Seattle was in another shootout, but what's new. They lost at Arizona, 34-37, but really should have won if not for a penalty on a Arizona field goal that resulted in a first down and subsequent TD. Still, just another example of the Seahawks playing nail biting games that are high scoring. Seattle is now 4-1 O/U on the season and both home games have gone over. The Niners have seen two of their three road games go over this year. Seattle has the worst defense in the NFL overall and worst vs pass. However, Seattle does have the NFL's best offense and 2nd ranked passing offense. That combination does provide those high scoring games. I'm sticking with the formula for this one today. Take OVER. |
11-01-20 | Saints v. Bears UNDER 43 | 26-23 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 29 m | Show
The New Orleans Saints survived last week against a pesky Carolina club, 27-24, though they didn't cover the 7-point line. The Saints outgained the Panthers 415-283 yards. Now they face the 8th ranked Bears defense. The Saints defense is actually rated higher than Chicago, 7th overall and 4th against the rush. Offensively, the Bears are 29th in the league and have the worst rushing game in the NFL (84 yards per game). The have also been intercepted nine times (28th in the league). Conditions not so great in Chicago on Sunday as it's expected to be around freezing with winds close to 20 mph. With the playing conditions and two very good defenses, I'm going UNDER. |
11-01-20 | Patriots v. Bills UNDER 41 | 21-24 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 4 m | Show
Buffalo won last week at the Jets, though they never came close to covering the spread. The Bills could manage just six field goals against a poor Jets team despite outgaining the Jets 422 yards to just 190. New England continues to sputter. After a poor showing and loss to the Broncos two weeks ago, they did it again last week at home vs the 49ers, losing 6-33. This despite Cam Newton being back for both games. The Patriots managed just 22 yards rushing and 147 yards passing to go with four turnovers. The Pats are in serious trouble as their offense has completely gone South. The Bills haven't clicked on offense for a few weeks now. I'm taking the UNDER. |
11-01-20 | Vikings v. Packers UNDER 50 | 28-22 | Push | 0 | 17 h 3 m | Show
The Minnesota Vikings hope to welcome back star running back Dalvin Cook this week. Cook has missed the last couple of weeks with a groin injury and is a very important cog to this Vikings offense. The Packers could be without their star running back in Aaron Jones. Jones is nursing a calf injury and is currently questionable for this contest. The Vikings had a much needed week off after some lackluster performances. The Packers won last week at Houston, 35-20, just getting under the 55.5 total. Green Bay had only 379 yards vs 365 yards by Houston, yet outscored them by 15 points. This series has been an under series in recent years, with the last three going under and eight of the last 10 going under. The Packers have the 10th ranked defense in the league while Minnesota is 27th. Green Bay has the 8th ranked offense while Minnesota comes in at 14th. Even with cook back here today I'm expecting this game to come in under the 51 point total. Play UNDER. |
10-30-20 | Hawaii v. Wyoming UNDER 60.5 | 7-31 | Win | 100 | 8 h 34 m | Show
Mountain West finally got underway last week and both these teams had opposite opening days. Hawaii won it's opener at Fresno State, 34-19. Meanwhile Wyoming lost in OT to Nevada, 34-37. Hawaii will be a long way from its balmy weather as they play at ice-cold Laramie Wyoming tonight. Maybe that will cool down the Hawaii attack that put up 34 points at Fresno last week. Wyoming found itself down 6-28 last week before climbing back and forcing an OT at Nevada. Harsh conditions here isn't something Hawaii is used to playing in. With below freezing temps here tonight I don't see the same high scoring games we got last week. I'm taking, UNDER. |
10-29-20 | Colorado State v. Fresno State OVER 59 | 17-38 | Loss | -109 | 25 h 47 m | Show
The Mountain West just began play last week, but Colorado State didn't play their first game until tonight. Steve Addazio will make his debut as the new HC of the Colorado State Rams. The Rams finished last year 4-8 on the season. Fresno State is 0-1 and under first year HC in Kalen DeBoer. Fresno lost last week at home to Hawaii, 19-34. The Rams have Patriock O'Brien back at QB. He threw for 13 TD's last and 7 INT's. Should see improved here tonight in the Fresno offense since they have that one game under their belt. Expect O'Brien to have success against a poor Fresno secondary. I like a lot of points in this one. Play OVER. |
10-29-20 | Falcons v. Panthers UNDER 51.5 | 25-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 14 m | Show
Thursday night action has the Atlanta Falcons taking on the Carolina Panthers. The Falcons lost a heartbreaker last week at home to the Detroit Lions, 22-23. Todd Gurley's failure to keep out of the endzone late in the 4th quarter ended up losing the game for the Falcons. The Falcons and Lions went under their 54.5 point total. Carolina gave the Saints all it could handle last week, just coming up short in a 24-27 loss at the Super Dome. Carolina had just 283 totals yards in the game compared to the Saints 415 and ran 24 fewer plays. They did just get over the 49.5 point total. Two of the last three years and four of the last six has seen these two teams go UNDER the total. The Panthers have a decent defense, ranked 11th overall and 9th against the pass. The Panthers also have the 6th best sack total in the league with 32. The Falcons defense is next to last in the league, though they are ranked 6th against the rush. High total here tonight as oddsmakers have adjust up totals since a lot of early week games have gone over. I look for this game to be not quite that high, so I'm playing UNDER. |
10-29-20 | South Alabama v. Georgia Southern UNDER 51.5 | 17-24 | Win | 100 | 19 h 22 m | Show
South Alabama Jaguars are 3-2 on the season but are a perfect 2-0 in Sun Belt play after beating Louisiana Monroe last week, 38-14. Tonight they get on the national stage with a television game at Georgia Southern in Statesboror, GA. Ga Southern lost to ranked Coastal Carolina last week, 14-28 to fall to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Sun Belt action. Southern was tied 14-14 at the half and played a Coastal team without its starting QB, but could not do anything offensively in the second half. This Ga Southern team has a fast defense that is led by some very good linebackers and a very good pass rush. They rank 13th nationally in rushing defense and yards per carry. Georgia Southern drops in class this week against South Alabama. South Alabama will have lots of trouble moving the ball against this very good Southern defense that gave Coastal Carolina fits last week. I'm taking the UNDER here tonight as I expect South Alabama to be held in check. Play UNDER. |
10-28-20 | Chelsea v. Krasnodar UNDER 3 | 4-0 | Loss | -120 | 4 h 42 m | Show
Premier League Champion Chelsea makes the road trip to Russia here today to take on Krasnodar in the Champions League play. Krasnodar finished third in their Russian Premier league last season. This year the host is just in 8th place as they off to a slow start. Krasnodar is coming off a 1-1 draw and now undefeated in their three Champions League games. Chelsea coming off a 0-0 draw against Manchester United. Five of their last seven games have resulted in draws. Their alignment against United was great at keeping Manchester off the board, but also blunted their own attack. Chelsea the big favorite here, but they have not played up to standards of late. I'm looking for a low scoring contest here on Wednesday. PLAY UNDER. |
10-26-20 | Bears v. Rams UNDER 45 | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 23 h 27 m | Show
The 5-1 Chicago Bears take on the 4-2 LA Rams on Monday Night football from Los Angeles. Contrast of two teams here on Monday as the Bears get it done with their defense first and then just enough of the offense to get them the wins. The Rams offense has been hitting on all cylinders, that is until last week when they went to San Francisco and couldn't do much with the ball. The defense has been hard on opposing QB's with seven sacks and 14 QB hits this year. The offense has 43 points in their last two games, nothing great, but enough to get things done with the defense. The Rams are 2-0 at SoFi Stadium and outscored opponents 37-26. I like defense and the Bears have one of the best this year. I expect the Rams to continue to struggle against good defenses as they did last week. The Bears will play to their defense and that means not a high scoring game. Take the UNDER. |
10-25-20 | 49ers v. Patriots UNDER 45 | 33-6 | Win | 100 | 15 h 27 m | Show
In what has been a very strange season, two of the pre-season favorites meet here today in Foxboro as the 49ers take on the Patriots. The Pats had been without QB Cam Newton due to Covid and his return last week was not a good one. The Pats lost at home to the Broncos, 16-18. That was New England's 2nd straight loss and has dropped the team below the .500 mark. The 49ers finally looked like the team that went to the Super Bowl with a dominating performance last week vs the Rams in a 24-16 win. The Pats hope Newton can bounce back this week against a very good 49ers defense. Both these teams still have a lot of injuries. I'm taking the UNDER here today. |
10-25-20 | Chiefs v. Broncos UNDER 44.5 | 43-16 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 26 m | Show
The Kansas City Chiefs make the trek to Colorado's Mile High city to take on their division rivals, Denver Broncos. It's never easy for teams to play in the high elevation. The Broncos welcomed back QB Drew Lock last week and RB Phillip Lindsay from injuries. The Broncos upset the Patriots on the road, 18-16 in an ugly game. The Chiefs bounced back from their loss at home to the Las Vegas Raiders with a nice win over Buffalo, 26-17 to improve to 5-1 on the season. Their defense really came to play last week, holding the very good Bills offense to just 206 total yards. The Broncos defense needs to come up big this week as they cannot afford to get into a shootout with the Chiefs. They can do this against the Chiefs run defense, which is their weak spot. The Broncos will also get back RB Gordon this week so they will have plenty in the tank at RB. I'm not going to take a side here, but I will take the UNDER as I look for Denver to try and take the air out of the ball. Play UNDER. |
10-25-20 | Steelers v. Titans OVER 50.5 | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 12 h 7 m | Show
Two of the last three undefeated teams meet here on Sunday as the 5-0 Pittsburgh Steelers take on the 5-0 Tennessee Titans. The Titans have a balanced offense and are the best Red Zone team in the NFL. Derrick Henry leads the team and the league in rushing with 588 yards and 6TD's. The Steelers have an excellent defense starting with their pass rush. This should be a great game between these unbeatens heavyweights. I'm looking for a high scoring affair here on Sunday. Play the OVER. |
10-25-20 | Packers v. Texans OVER 57 | 35-20 | Loss | -104 | 12 h 6 m | Show
The Green Bay Packers fell from the undefeated last week as they lost at Tampa Bay, 10-38. Aaron Rodgers looked to be on a MVP season until he ran into that buzz saw last week in Tampa. Rodgers threw three pass interceptions last week including a pick-six. They should get a good chance to get back on track vs a reeling 1-5 Houston Texans team. The Texans fired Bill O'Brien and installed Romeo Cronell at HC and it looked to be a winning combo as they went to Tennessee last week and took a 7-point lead late into the 4th quarter. However, a controversial two point try by Houston led to the Titans needing just a TD and extra point to tie, which they did. The Titans forced OT and scored a TD on the opening possession for the win and cover to the dismay of bettors all over who had the Titans. The Texans allow a league worst 5.4 yards per carry and 177.5 yards per game on the ground. The one good thing is the offense is still potent with QB Deshaun Watson and a trio of very good receivers. I look for the Packers to take out some of that frustration from last week here today on the Texans. Look for a high scoring game. Play OVER. |
10-24-20 | Dodgers v. Rays OVER 8 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show
The Dodgers have been flexing their offensive muscles in this series. Mookie Betts is paying dividends in his first year as he continues to be Mr Everything for the Dodgers. LA can take a 3-1 lead in the series with a win tonight. The Rays offensive struggles continued again last night. They did break out in game two with a big night, but that has been far and few between for the Rays. The Dodgers pitching staff has been just as good if not better than the Rays. I don't see the Rays being able to keep these Dodgers bats down. I'm going to take the OVER here tonight. |
10-24-20 | South Carolina v. LSU UNDER 55.5 | 24-52 | Loss | -114 | 19 h 43 m | Show
The 2-2 South Carolina Gamecocks take on the struggling 1-2 LSU Tigers this week from Baton Rouge. After losing to Tennessee and Florida, the Gamecocks have rebounded with wins over Vanderbilt and No 15 Auburn. Kevin Harris is the star on this team at RB, averaging 5.0 yards per run this year. He's the type of back that can wear down defenses. LSU will be forced to make a change at QB. Myle Brennan has been profilic leading this team to 467.3 yards per game and 38.7 ppg this season. Brennan is expected to miss this game which leave freshman TJ Finley or Max Johnson to run the offense. Brennan is thought to have torn ab muscle. Now LSU will try and get one of the nation's worst rushing attacks going here. With Brennan out, look for a much more conservative offensive approach today. For me, that means an UNDER. |
10-20-20 | Juventus v. FC Dynamo Kiev UNDER 2.5 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 3 h 43 m | Show
This was going to be a tough, close game anyways as Juventus and Dynamo Kiev meet here today in Kiev for the UEFA Champion's Leuge. But now it gets even tougher for this Juventus team. Juventus begins thier quest for a Champions League trophy without arguably the best player in the world in Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo has had to self isolate back in Itay after testing positive for Covid. This is bad news for Juventus as Kiev will give them all they can handle. This has changed the perspective on this contest for the total. What normally might be high scoring, looks to be low scoring now. Play UNDER |
10-18-20 | Texans v. Titans OVER 53 | 36-42 | Win | 100 | 14 h 19 m | Show
The Tennessee Titans remained unbeaten despite having to go through some Covid hoops last week that included losing practice time and having their game moved. More than 20 players and staff tested positive and they were without some of their wide receivers in their game, yet they beat the undefeated Bills handily, 42-16. The Texans started 0-4 and then fired HC Bill O'Brien. Romeo Crennel took over and that seemed to give the Texans a shot in the arm as they got their first win over Jacksonville, 30-14. Titans playing on a very short week here today after playing last Tuesday. Both teams put up excellent points last week and with the new coach I expect Houston to continue to roll here this week. This one should be a shoot out on Sunday. Play OVER. |
10-17-20 | Duke v. NC State OVER 59.5 | 20-31 | Loss | -110 | 43 h 8 m | Show
Duke finally got a win last week at Syracuse, their best offensive production thus far as they scored 38 points in the win. The offense was clicking as they ran 102 plays and rushed for over 300 yards. The NC State Wolfpack are 3-1 on the season and averaging 34.3 ppg. Duke has averaged just 21.6 ppg, but last week's outburst has the offense is starting heat up. I look for both these teams to get plenty on the scoreboard. Take the OVER. |
10-16-20 | Astros v. Rays UNDER 8 | 7-4 | Loss | -112 | 19 h 56 m | Show
If you have watched this series then you have seen some excellent pitching. Both teams have excellent starters and very strong pens with big arms. But one thing that the hitters didn't want to contend with are the horrible shadows that PetCo Park in San Diego causes just at these times of the day. With this game starting in the afternoon, they will once again have to deal with those horrific shadows that make those hard throwers even more difficult to pick up. For that reason plus the excellent staffs, I'm sticking with the under here on Friday. Play UNDER. |
10-14-20 | Dodgers v. Braves OVER 9.5 | 15-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Dodgers are already in the position of a "must win" game here on Wednesday as they trail the Atlanta Braves 0-2. The Dodgers fell behind 0-6 in Tuesday's game and rallied late to a 7-8 loss with the tying run on third base. Clayton Kershaw was supposed to start that game two, but back spasms had him replaced. The Dodgers can ill afford to fall back to 0-3 and as such they will be counting on Julio Urias here today. Urias has been very good of late, allowing no earned runs over his last two starts with just four hits. Moreover, Urias hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his last five starts. Kyle Wright will start for the Braves. Wright is just 2-4 on the season with a 5.21 ERA. Wright has pitched better of late, allowing just two runs over his last three starts. Two very good offenses here tonight as I look for this one to go OVER the total. |
10-11-20 | Colts v. Browns UNDER 48.5 | 23-32 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 24 m | Show
Week five matchup here of teams that are both on 3-0 win streaks. Both these clubs opened the season with losses and since have gone on to win their next three games. The Colts defense has been excellent this season. Their last three games they have held the Vikings, Jets and Bears to a combined 29 points. The Browns lost to the Ravens in week 1 and since have scored 118 points in wins over Cincinnati, Washington and Dallas. The Colts are playing their second straight road game here this week. The Browns are controlling the ball on the ground, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. The battle in this one is the defense of the Colts vs the offense of the Browns. The Colts defense has been very good and they should control both the offensive and defensive lines here today. I'm taking this game to go UNDER. |
10-10-20 | Alabama v. Ole Miss UNDER 69.5 | 63-48 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 12 m | Show
Huge total here in this game of around 70. I can see why the oddsmaker put up such a big number though. The Alabama Crimson Tide are averaging 45 ppg and Ole Miss coming in at 38.5 ppg. The Rebels are also pretty bad on defense, allowing 46 points per game. I know I'm a bit out of the box on this pick today and I don't have any stats to back it up. But I'm looking at the UNDER. So why is that? They have Georgia up next on October 17th. I don't think we'll see the Alabama first team players long into this game and they might even be looking past this terrible Ole Miss team to the undefeated Bulldogs next week. I'm taking the under and expecting the Tide to have their minds on their next game. Take UNDER. |
10-08-20 | Tulane v. Houston UNDER 59.5 | 31-49 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 27 m | Show
The Covid pandemic has caused many a college teams to shuffle their schedules. None more effected then Houston thus far. The Cougars will just now be playing their first game of the season. Compare that to Tulane, which is playing its fourth game after starting the season 2-1. The Cougars have had five game rescheduled or cancelled thus far. They finally get to play tonight. The Cougars have 33 junior college and other conference transfers after finishing a disappointing 4-8 last season. The Cougars will have their hands full playing Tulane. Not only does the Green Wave have had three games to get their team in order, but they are 2-1 and already won twice on the road. Thus far, Tulane is third in the AAC in total defense. Hard to gauge this Houston team since they have so many changes from last year. Tulane's defense ranking along with the rust factor for this Houston team. Take UNDER. |
10-08-20 | A's v. Astros OVER 9.5 | 6-11 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
Game four here as the A's looked to stave off elimination in game three trailing 0-2 to the Astros. The A's won 9-7 in another wild shootout at Dodger Stadium. Dodger Stadium has long been known as a pitcher park, but not now. It has the highest runs in the postseason and every game thus far has been high scoring in this series. The A's likely without closer Liam Hendricks today as he had to go three innings in their win on Wednesday. Zack Greinke will go tonight after he was thought to miss the series with a sore arm. Helps our case for the total even more tonight as it looks like Greinke won't be 100%. The pitching staff will be thin for the Astros here on Thursday. Looks like another hitters game from the Launching pad on Thursday. With pitching being thin on both sides I expect another high scoring game here today. Play OVER. |
10-07-20 | Rays v. Yankees OVER 9 | 8-4 | Win | 102 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Yankees are healthy for the first time all season and it's showed with their bats. The Yankees have scored at least five runs in each of their playoff games. In fact, during their series with the Indians they score 22 runs in two games. And that's against one of the better pitching staffs this year in baseball. They opened with a 9-3 win over the Rays in game one of this series and then lost yesterday in game two, 5-7. Yet, we see just a total of nine on tonight's contest. Charlie Morton has a 4.74 ERA for the Rays this year. Masahiro Tanaka has just a 4.33 ERA for the Yankees. I don't see this game going any other way than OVER. |
10-05-20 | Falcons v. Packers OVER 56 | 16-30 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 2 m | Show
I don't know what youth pill Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers has taken, but can we all have some. Rodgers has looked like his old self after a down season in 2019. Rodgers and the Packers are undefeated at 3-0. The Falcons, well they have blown big leads this year and are 0-3 after losing to the Bears last week, 26-30. That loss on the heals of a shocking loss to the Cowboys in week 2 where they blew a 15-point fourth quarter lead. It must seem like Deja Vu for the Falcons after something similar happened in their Super Bowl loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl LI. HC Dan Quinn is in desperate need of a win or face a 0-4 start. The injury plagued Falcons will have to face the NFL best offense that averages 6.9 yards per play and 40.7 ppg. The Falcons do possess a potent passing attack with Matt Ryan. But I don't see this defense stopping this Packers juggernaut of an offense. Take the OVER |
10-05-20 | Astros v. A's UNDER 8 | 10-5 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 12 m | Show
The ALDS begins here on Monday with the Astros facing the A's. This series will be in Dodgers Stadium in LA with the winning moving on to the AL Championship Series. Both teams won their Wildcard round best of three and now this is best of five before moving into best of seven for the ALCS. Lance McCullers will start for the Astros. McCullers was 3-3 on the season with a 3.93 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. McCullers has lost his last four games, though he's allowed just three earned runs over 17.2 innings. Chris Bassitt will start for the A's. Bassitt was 5-2 on the season with a 2.29 ERA. Bassitt has won five straight games and has allowed just two earned runs over his last 33.2 innings. Should be a very good pitchers duel. I'm taking the UNDER. |
10-03-20 | Texas A&M v. Alabama UNDER 54.5 | 24-52 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 7 m | Show
The SEC plays its second week of the season here on Saturday as Alabama host Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa. Alabama is the favorite in the SEC and opened with a win last week over Vanderbilt, 38-19. With QB Tua Tagovailoa gone to the the NFL it's now up to Mac Jones to lead the team. Jones looked solid in his start last week. Texas A&M will have to clean up its act after last week where they committed way too many penalties and turn overs. A&M scored just 17 points in their opener last week and will not have it any better today against a solid Alabama defense. Texas A&M still looks like a work in progress after their first game. They have a lot of areas to work on and that won't be much easier here today against Alabama. I'm taking UNDER in this game as I expect A&M to be limited in points. Play UNDER. |
10-02-20 | Cardinals v. Padres OVER 9 | 0-4 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 4 m | Show
Game three of this series and it's all tied up at 1-1 as the winner of tonight's contest will move on to the next round of the playoffs. The Cardinals took game one and looked in control of game two. But a rally by the Padres saved the day and they get to play again. The Cards will send Jack Flaherty to the hill today. Flaherty is 4-3 in his nine starts with a 4.91 ERA. However, he's been horrible on the road, posting a 9.45 ERA in his four games. Adrian Morejon will start for the Padres with a 0-1 record in his four starts with a 4.82 ERA. Neither pitcher will likely be around long, especially Morejon who likely will go only an inning or two. For me, I love this game to go over the total. Play OVER. |
10-01-20 | White Sox v. A's OVER 8.5 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 47 m | Show
Final game of this series as the White Sox took game one and the A's rebounded in game two, 5-3. No day off here as the teams come right back on Thursday for the third and final game of this series. The A's might be without their closer in Hendricks who had to go last night to preserve the win. Hendricks doesn't usually go in back-to-back games, but he might be forced to here today. Dane Dunning will go for the Sox with a 2-0 record and 3.97 ERA on the season. He will be opposed by Mike Fiers who is 6-3 with a 4.58 ERA. Tough game here today, but I give the edge to Fiers who has been winning games all season. The A's might not need their closer in this one if they blow them out. Take the OVER. |
09-30-20 | White Sox v. A's UNDER 7.5 | 3-5 | Loss | -115 | 14 h 24 m | Show
The White Sox took game one of this series with the Oakland A's on Tuesday, 4-1. That takes a lot of pressure off the Sox here today as they send lefty Dallas Keuchel to the hill. Keuchel was 6-2 in his 11 starts this season with a nifty 1.99 ERA and 1.090 WHIP. Keuchel finished strong, allowing just two total runs over his last four starts (20 innings). The A's will try to even this series with righty Chris Bassitt. Bassitt was 5-2 in his 11 starts with a 2.29 ERA and 1.159 WHIP. Bassitt was equally strong down the stretch, allowing just one earned run over his last 26 1/3 innings. This will be another great pitcher's duel today and for me, I'll take the UNDER and enjoy the low scoring affair. Play UNDER. |
09-30-20 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 22 m | Show
The Houston Astros took game one of this playoff series with the favored Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, 4-1. The game was tied in the 9th inning before the Astros got a bases loaded 2-out walk and a 2-out single to push across three runs and steal game one. The Astros will send Lance McCullers to the hill. McCullers is 3-3 in his 11 starts with a 3.93 ERA. However, he's had some excellent starts of late. In two of his last four starts he's allowed no runs. The Twins turn to Jose Berrios. Berrios is 5-4 in his 12 starts with a 4.00 ERA. Berrios wasn't great his last start, allowing four runs over five innings. However, before that he allowed 5 total runs over four starts (22 innings). This series looks to be a very tight, close and low scoring one. I'm taking UNDER here in game two. |
09-30-20 | Reds v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 21 m | Show
The earliest game here on Wednesday's Playoffs will have the Cincinnati Reds playing at the Atlanta Braves. The Reds finished the regular season in 3rd place in the NL Central with a 31-29 record. The Atlanta Braves were 1st in the NL East with a 35-25 record. Treor Bauer will go here for the Reds. Bauer was 5-4 in his 11 starts, but had a very good 1.73 ERA and 0.795 WHIP that really warranted a better overall record. Bauer didn't allow more than two runs in any of his last five starts. Max Fried was the Ace for the Braves and rightly so. Fried was a perfect 7-0 in his 11 starts with a 2.25 ERA. Fried was so consistent that he allowed more than two runs just one time in 11 starts and that was only three runs. Don't expect the Reds to get much here today, they need Bauer to keep pace. With that, this is an UNDER play for me. |
09-28-20 | Chiefs v. Ravens OVER 54.5 | 34-20 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 35 m | Show
This looks to be the marquee matchup of the week as the defending NFL Champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the 2-0 Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs had to come-from-behind last week against the Chargers with a 14-3 fourth quarter to win in OT, 23-20, and start their season 2-0. Meanwhile, the Ravens rushed for 230 yards in their win over the Houston Texans last week, 33-16. It was the Ravens 15th game with at least 200 yards rushing since 2018. The Chiefs are 15-5-1 Over/Under in their last 21 games as a dog. They have also gone over in five of the last seven Monday Night games. Ravens are 5-1 O/U in their last six home games as a favorite and 4-1 o/u their last five overall. This promises to be an exciting game, I'm going to take the OVER here tonight. |
09-27-20 | Cowboys v. Seahawks OVER 56.5 | 31-38 | Win | 100 | 17 h 27 m | Show
All you can say is WOW about last week's come from behind win by the Dallas Cowboys over the Atlanta Falcons. The Cowboys can thank their special teams for that win, 40-39. They needed a late TD, then the onside kick and winning field goal all within the last two minutes of the game. Meanwhile, the Seahawks had to hold on until the literally the last second to beat the Patriots last week, 35-30. They stopped QB Cam Newton on the one yard line as time ran out for the win. Russell Wilson has been unbelievable, tossing FIVE touchdowns last week. Not sure how the Cowboys can stop Russell Wilson. Their only hope is to keep the ball out of his hands. I don't see that really happening as this game should have a lot of points. Take the OVER. |
09-27-20 | Lions v. Cardinals OVER 55.5 | 26-23 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 27 m | Show
The 0-2 Detroit Lions take on the 2-0 Arizona Cardinals today at State Farm Stardium in Phoenix. Last time these clubs met was a 27-27 tie to start the 2019 season. The Lions are really kicking themselves because they could easily be 2-0. They blew a 23-6 fourth quarter lead to the Bears in week one and then had a 14-3 lead last wee they couldn't hold. Arizona is 2-0 behind a very good rushing game that has 150+ yards in each of the first two games. The Cardinals also got a boost in the passing game with DeAndre Hopkins coming over from the Texans. Hopkins has 22 receptions this year. A very high total in this at around 55 points. However, the Cardinals are putting up big numbers and the Lions will have to keep pace. I'm taking the OVER. |
09-27-20 | Rams v. Bills OVER 46.5 | 32-35 | Win | 100 | 14 h 2 m | Show
Battle of undefeated teams here on Sunday has the 2-0 Rams playing at the 2-0 Buffalo Bills. Long trip East for the Rams, which is never easy on the West coast teams. The Bills, which have been known as a defensive team, have been putting up some big offensive numbers behind QB Josh Allen. The Bills are averaging 29 points per game and 463 yards per game (No 3). The Rams are averaging 28.5 ppg and 435 yards per game (No 5). Allen had four TD's last week vs the Dolphins and over 400 passing yards. Stephen Diggs was a great addition to the team, tied in the NFL with 239 receiving yards. The Rams won at Philly last week, 37-19 as QB Jarod Goff had three TD passes. Both teams are firing on all cylinders on offense. I'm taking the OVER. |
09-26-20 | Iowa State v. TCU UNDER 44 | 37-34 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 51 m | Show
Iowa State was supposed to be playing Oklahoma here today, but rescheduling due to the Covid virus and the Cyclones will have to settle for a road trip to TCU. Iowa state stumbled in its opener, losing to Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 14-31. Big plays killed the ISU team as they allowed a 95-yard kickoff return for a TD, a 78-yard pass play and a 83-yard punt return. TCU saw its opener scrubbed against SMU because of the virus. Brock Purdy returns to QB at Iowa State, but he will have to improve on a lackluster performance in week 1. TCU has many questions yet to be answered. One of which is whether Purdy will return to his form from last year. I'm taking the UNDER here and we'll see what happens with Purdy on Saturday. Play UNDER. |
09-26-20 | Kentucky v. Auburn OVER 48 | 13-29 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 21 m | Show
SEC begins play today in college football as Kentucky takes on Auburn. Kentucky has won 18 games the last two seasons and could be a team to surprise a lot of people in the SEC this year. Auburn just continues to play excellent football under HC Gus Malzahn. Kentucky is led by a ground game that averages 278.8 ypg last year. Auburn returns their starting QB from last year, Bo Nix. Nix had 16 TDs and just 6 int's last year. This offense should be much better this year under Nix. The Kentucky ground game should get their share too. I'm taking the OVER here in this SEC opener. |
09-24-20 | Dolphins v. Jaguars OVER 47 | 31-13 | Loss | -114 | 69 h 41 m | Show
We saw lots of points last week in the NFL as it looks like the offenses are ahead of defenses so far. We also saw lots of big name injuries with 7 ACL injuries sustained by players across the league. The Miami Dolphins showed they can move the ball against one of the best defenses in the league in Buffalo, coming up just short 28-31. The Dolphins fell to 0-2 after that loss. Jacksonville also showing they have some offense as they gave Tennessee all it could handle last week finally losing in OT, 30-33. Jags QB Minshew threw for 339 and 3 TD's in the loss. The Jags also out gained the Titans, 480-354 yards. Both these teams have shown they can score against good defenses and today this one should be an all out offensive battle. I'm taking the OVER. |
09-24-20 | Astros v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 12-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
The Houston Astros could miss the playoffs with their 28-28 record. They won't catch the A's for first place as they trail by 6 1/2 games in the AL West. They trail Toronto for the final playoff spot by one game. It doesn't help that they are just 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Rangers are in last in the AL West and just playing out the final week. Cristian Javier starts for the Astros with a 4-2 record and 3.55 ERA. Lance Lynn had an excellent season for the Rangers as he makes one of his final starts. Lynn is 6-2 in his 12 starts with a 2.53 ERA. Both pitchers are above average and neither team has been providing much offense of late. I'm taking the UNDER here today. |
09-24-20 | White Sox v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 25 m | Show
White Sox and Indians both have clinched playoff spots as we enter the last week before the postseason. However, while both hold Wildcard spots right now, they are still within 2 1/2 games of 1st place Minnesota for first place. Dallas Keuchel will start today for the White Sox. Keuchel is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 2.04 ERA and 1.099 WHIP. Keuchel has been great lately, allowing no earned runs over his last three starts (14 innings). Zach Plesac toes the rubber today for the Tribe. Plesac is 4-2 with a 1.85 ERA and 0.781 WHIP. Aside from one bad start, Plesac has allowed one or no runs in four of his last five starts. Two excellent pitchers here today and for me that's an UNDER. |
09-23-20 | Celtics v. Heat UNDER 210.5 | Top | 109-112 | Loss | -105 | 22 h 33 m | Show |
The Celtics were desperate for a win in game three and they got it, beating the Heat 117-106. The Heat had taken games one and two of this series and now the Celtics look to even it at two apiece here tonight. The Miami Heat have used a baffling zone defense that had confused the Celtics through two games. However, the Celtics finally figured it out in game three as they got the win. The Celtics would have been a good under team if they could have stayed out of all the OT's they have played. I'm going to stick with what I have liked in the playoffs and that's the UNDER here tonight. |
09-22-20 | Lakers v. Nuggets UNDER 214 | Top | 106-114 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 8 m | Show |
The Denver Nuggets sure don't like making things easy on themselves. They had to come from 1-3 down to the Jazz and the Clippers to win both series in seven games. Now they are down 0-2 to the Lakers and in real danger of going down 0-3 after this game. The Nuggets lost the opener 114-126 and then made a much better showing in game two, but still game up short, 103-105. For the Lakers, you would have to go back to 1969 to find the last time they lost a best of seven series in which they led 2-0. The improvement the Nuggets can build on is their defense, which did a much better job in game two holding the Lakers to just 105 points. The Nuggets defense also forced 24 turnovers after getting just 12 in game one. The Nuggets know this is the game they have to win and that means defense has to lead the way. I look for a similar game to the last one and for me, that's the under. Play UNDER. |
09-22-20 | Sun v. Aces OVER 161 | 75-83 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 45 m | Show
The Connecticut Sun shocked the LV Aces 87-62 in game one of their semi-final playoffs. Now they look to take a 2-0 lead here tonight. The Aces were the no 1 seed compared to just 7th seed for the Sun. Don't expect the same here tonight. The Aces were the best team with the MVP of the league and they will likely have receive a wake-up call after that game one fiasco. I expect the Aces to get the scoring back here tonight and put up big numbers. Take the OVER. |
09-21-20 | Saints v. Raiders OVER 48.5 | 24-34 | Win | 100 | 4 h 3 m | Show
The Raiders begin their era in Las Vegas inside their brand new Allegiant stadium. The Raiders won a high scoring affair last week at Carolina, while the New Orleans Saints upended the Tom Brady led Tampa Bay Bucs. QB Drew Brees will be without his favorite target though as WR Michael Thomas is out indefinitely with a ankle injury. Even though there won't be a stadium full of Vegas fans here on Monday, it will still be an exciting beginning for the city and the Raiders. Both of these teams had little trouble putting up big points last week. Both teams have potent offenses and early on it looks like defenses in the NFL are behind the offenses. I'm taking OVER tonight between New Orleans and Las Vegas. |
09-21-20 | Brewers v. Reds UNDER 7.5 | 3-6 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 14 m | Show
These two teams are still in the race for a playoff spot, but only one could likely get the spot. The Reds are in 3rd in the NL Central and the Brewers are in 4th, one game back in the loss column to the Reds. The Brewers start Brandon Woodruff today with a 2-4 record and 3.45 ERA. Woodruff has allowed just three runs over his last 14 innings with 17 KO's and no walks. Luis Castillo will toe the rubber for the Reds today with a 3-5 record and 3.19 ERA. Castillo has also been very good of late, allowing just one run over his last 16 innings with 16 KO's and four walks. Both these pitchers are on hot streaks and for me that means an UNDER here today. |
09-20-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers OVER 214.5 | Top | 103-105 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 26 m | Show |
Game two here in the NBA Western finals as the Lakers hold a 1-0 lead over the Nuggets. The Lakers dominated game one after the first quarter, cruising to a 126-114 win. Most of the 2nd half the Lakers held near 20 point leads. I wasn't surprised, the Nuggets came out flat in game one of their series with the Clippers after their come from behind win in the previous series vs the Jazz. Now the Nuggets have had their game to get back on track and tonight I look for a high scoring game. I'm taking the OVER. |
09-20-20 | Falcons v. Cowboys OVER 53 | 39-40 | Win | 100 | 15 h 45 m | Show
Dallas lost their opener last week at the LA Rams, 19-22. The Rams Brett Maher hit a 42-yard field goal as time expired to pull out the win for the Rams. New head Coach Mike McCarthy wasn't happy with the outcome last week and will not want to start the season 0-2 with his new club. The Falcons lost a shootout with the Falcons last week, 25-38. QB Matt Ryan threw for 450 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the loss. With Ryan at QB, Julio Jones at Wide Out and Todd Gurley in the backfield, this team should be potent on offense. Dallas lost another one score game, their seventh since last season. I don't look for much defense in this one. I'm taking the OVER and will enjoy the offensive show. |
09-20-20 | Jaguars v. Titans OVER 44 | 30-33 | Win | 100 | 15 h 45 m | Show
No one really has given the Jacksonville Jaguars much of a chance heading into this season. They lost star RB Leonard Fortnette and they have arguably the most vanilla QB in Gardner Minshew. however, Minshew shined last week, copleting 19 of 20 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns. He becomes just one of three QB's all-time to have a completion rate of 95% or more in a game. The Titans pulled out a late win at Denver last week, 16-14. Ryan Tannehill had to throw more than normal and had 249 yards and two touchdowns. The Titans shouldn't have much issues dominating this Jaguars defense here on Sunday. If Minshew can be nearly as efficient as last week then this game will go over. I'm taking the OVER here today. |
09-20-20 | Lions v. Packers OVER 49.5 | 21-42 | Win | 100 | 15 h 44 m | Show
Green Bay should be very confident coming into today's clash with the Lions that they can start the season 2-0. They had a score fest last week with Minnesota, winning that offensive battle, 43-34. The Packers racked-up 522 yards, second most ever in one of their division road games. Detroit will have to do better in the 4th quarter then they did last week, getting outscored 0-21. The Bears trailed 6-23, but that unanswered 21 points gave Chicago the win, 27-23. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 364 yards and four touchdowns. Once again, I see a lot of points in this one as the Packers will pile up the yards and points once again. Play OVER. |
09-20-20 | Panthers v. Bucs OVER 46.5 | 17-31 | Win | 100 | 15 h 44 m | Show
Tampa Bay had a rough time in the debut of QB Tom Brady. Brady and the Bucs jumped out to a 7-0 lead but that was about all the good news they had. Brady even threw a rare pick-six. The Bucs now have a NFL high of 44 turnovers since the start of last year. The Panthers lost at home last week to the Las Vegas Raiders, 30-34. Brady should have an easy time here today against this young Panthers defense that allowed 34 last week to the Raiders. I expect a lot of points in this one and I'm going with the OVER. |
09-19-20 | White Sox v. Reds UNDER 8 | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
The AL Central leading Chicago White Sox have won seven of their last 10 games as they continue to be one of the surprise teams of 2020. The Sox are now 33-18 and have already secured a playoff spot. The Cincinnati Reds are 26-26 as we head down the final stretch of the regular season. The Reds have won six straight and eight of 10 games. Dallas Keuchel will start for the Sox with a 6-2 record in nine games. Keuchel has an impressive 2.19 ERA and has allowed NO runs over his last 10 innings. Trevor Bauer will toe the rubber for the Reds. Bauer is 4-3 on the season with a 1.71 ERA and 0.810 WHIP. Bauer has allowed just two runs over his last 20 innings. Two excellent pitchers here today will have me on the UNDER. |

09-17-20 | Bengals v. Browns UNDER 43.5 | Top | 30-35 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 32 m | Show |
This Thursday battle will feature two of the last three Heisman Trophy winners in Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield. As we have seen numerous times, just because you had success in college doesn't always translate to the NFL field. Burrow started his first game as member of the Bengals last week. Burrow led his team on two drives in the 4th quarter that could have tied or taken the lead from the LA Chargers. However, the first was resulted in Burrow's first interception of his NFL career and the second was a missed 31-yard field goal. Good news though tonight, one of these college standouts will get his team even at 1-1 while the other will drop to 0-2. The Browns were blown out last week at Baltimore, 6-38. This Browns offense needs to get on track early if they hope for success. They have the pieces, Mayfield at QB, Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb in the backfield and Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry at wide out. They just have trouble putting it all together. The Bengals didn't ask much of their young QB, with his longest completion coming in at just 19-yards. The Browns will need to clean up their sloppy play if they hope to do anything tonight. The Bengals will continue to nudge Burrow along. For me, this looks like a big under play. Take the UNDER. |
09-17-20 | Heat v. Celtics UNDER 209.5 | 106-101 | Win | 100 | 7 h 0 m | Show
The Heat and Celtics have been involved in quite a few OT's of late. That really hurts when you like the UNDER as I have recently. You have the game called right and an OT kills you. These teams went to OT in game one, with the Heat coming out on top, 117-114. Now if we can just get them to settle things in regulation maybe we can get the win we deserve. I'm taking the UNDER here again in game two. The Celtics have been low scoring games, except when they have had to go to OT. So I'm not straying from my thoughts on this being an under game. Come on guys, lets keep the OT out of this one tonight. Play UNDER. |
09-13-20 | Chargers v. Bengals UNDER 42 | 16-13 | Win | 100 | 17 h 45 m | Show
Different looks for both these teams as we start the 2020 season. The LA Chargers parted with longtime QB Phillip Rivers as did the Cincinnati Bengals did with Andy Dalton. Cincy will start LSU rookie and top draft choice Joe Burrow. LA is going with Tyrod Taylor, though Taylor will likely give way to Justin Herbert sometime during the season. LA had to make the long trip East, which is never good for the West Coast teams. Taylor is a decent QB, but won't turn any heads as the starter here. For me, I'm looking at the defenses being ahead of the offenses in this one. I expect a close, lower scoring contest. I'm taking the UNDER. |
09-13-20 | Jets v. Bills UNDER 40 | 17-27 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 40 m | Show
The Buffalo Bills look to build off what was an excellent 2019 season that saw the club go 10-6 overall and a AFC Wild Card slot. The Jets were just 7-9 last season and finished third in the AFC East. The Jets have won two of their last three with the Bills. Sam Darnold had a very good rookie season last year throwing for over 3,000 yards. Le'Veon Bell had his worst season yet and looks to rebound this year for the Jets. Josh Allen was excellent at QB for the Bills. Allen had 17 rushing TD's last year to lead all NFL QB's. For me, I expect a low scoring game here with this excellent Buffalo defense. Take the UNDER. |
09-12-20 | Rockets v. Lakers UNDER 216.5 | 96-119 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show
Game 5 here today between the Rockets and the Lakers has the LA Lakers up 3-1 and on the brink of sending the Rockets out of the Bubble with another loss. The Lakers are coming off a game four win, 110-100. All four games in this series have gone UNDER the total. Considering that Houston has lived and died by the 3-point shots and their defense, it's not surprising this series has been one of UNDERs. Today, I'm sticking with what these teams have been doing all series and that is a slower, lowing scoring game. I'm taking UNDER once again. |
09-11-20 | Celtics v. Raptors UNDER 204.5 | 92-87 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
The Boston Celtics could have won this series a few times over now, but they keep finding ways to give the Raptors new life. After a double OT loss in game six, 122-125, the Celtics have to feel they have won at least five of these games already. This series has been low scoring. In fact, game six was a dead under if not for that first OT and it took most of the OT just to get the OVER. So far, in four of the six games at least one team has failed to score 100 points. The oddsmakers have adjusted and we get a total just over 200 here today, but I'm still sticking with the UNDER. Play UNDER. |
09-11-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 7 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Cleveland and Minnesota had been battling for first place in the AL Central until the White Sox passed both by to take over the division lead. Now the Twins are one game back and the Indians are 1 1/2 games back for a three-team race in the division. The Indians start their Ace today in Shane Bieber. Bieber is having a Cy Young type year with a 7-0 record in his nine starts with a 1.25 ERA and 0.850 WHIP. Bieber has allowe no runs in five of his starts this year. Kenta Maeda came over from the Dodgers in the off season and is doing quite well for the Twins. Maeda is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 2.77 ERA and 0.719 WHIP. Maeda has yet to allow more than three runs in any start. For me, runs will be at a high premium in this game. I'm taking the UNDER. |
09-11-20 | Nuggets v. Clippers UNDER 216 | 111-105 | Push | 0 | 6 h 50 m | Show
Game five here tonight between the Nuggets and the Clippers. The Clippers won a low scoring game four, 96-85. That makes the Clippers one game away from advancing and kicking the Nuggets out of the bubble. So far we've seen somewhat lower scoring series. The last game was indicative of what this series has been trending toward. The Nuggets have been held under 100 points in two of the four games. Tonight's total up around 216 and for me that's still a bit too high considering how all the NBA playoff games have trended. I'm taking UNDER here in game five. |
09-09-20 | Brewers v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 19-0 | Loss | -106 | 1 h 4 m | Show
Milwaukee Brewers looking to get back to the .500 mark as they sit at 18-22 on the season. They have lost three straight games. The Detroit Tigers are 19-21 on the season and sitting in 4th place in the AL Central. The Brewers will start Corbin Burnes. Burnes is 2-0 in his five starts with a 1.75 ERA and 1.0013 WHIP. He's allowed just one run over his last 12 innings with 17 KO's. The Tigers counter with Matt Boyd. Boyd is only 1-5 on the season with a 6.64 ERA. However, he's pitched much better of late, allowing just five total runs over his last 17 1/3 innings with 20 KO's and just one walk. I like this game to be low scoring today. Play UNDER. |
09-07-20 | Royals v. Indians UNDER 8.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
Two very good pitchers match up in this game today for Kansas City and Cleveland. The Kansas City Royals will start Keller who is four and one in his starts this year with a 1.93 ERA and a 1.036 whip. On the other side please Plesac will start for Cleveland. Plesac is two and one while the team is two and two in his starts. Plesac has a 1.33 ERA. In addition Plesac has a excellent 0.667 whip. I like thiis Game to go under the total. |
09-06-20 | Rockets v. Lakers UNDER 223 | 109-117 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 19 m | Show
The Rockets pummeled the Lakers in game one of this best of seven series, 112-97. The top seeded Lakers look for an answer to the Rockets "Small Ball" where they fire away from 3-point land. I expect the Lakers to make that adjustment here today. Just as Denver did in game two of their series with the Clippers. The Top seeded Lakers will face that almost no-defense Houston team that relies on outscoring their opponents. Look for LA to put some brakes to the Rockets here tonight. I don't look for the Lakers to get into a run and gun shootout with Houston. LA will play defense and slow the pace here tonight. Play the UNDER. |
09-05-20 | Nuggets v. Clippers OVER 222 | 110-101 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 1 m | Show
The Nuggets got overpowered in game one of this series with the Clippers, losing 97-120. Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points for the Clippers and got to rest the entire 4th quarter. The Nuggets really had no time to prepare for the Clippers as they were forced to a game seven in their opening series with the Jazz. The Nuggets came out flat and that isn't surprising. Now, they have had time to reflect and adjust. I see the Nuggets getting back at least to a competitive game here in game two. Look for the Nuggets to get back into the higher scoring here today as I look for this game to go OVER. |
09-04-20 | Rockets v. Lakers OVER 225.5 | 112-97 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 13 m | Show
The Rockets and Lakers begin game one of their seven-game series here tonight. The Rockets barely survived a surge by the OKC Thunder and it took last second heroics in game 7 to get here. The Thunder imposed a defensive and slow town philosophy that worked against the 3-point shooting mad Rockets. Don't expect that here against the Lakers. The Lakers will run and gun with the Rockets and I fully expect to see a series that is filled with lots of high scoring games. I'm taking OVER here in game 1. |
09-04-20 | Bucks v. Heat UNDER 223.5 | 100-115 | Win | 100 | 7 h 35 m | Show
While many have considered the Bucks the best team in the NBA this year and almost a lock to make the Championship round, they face the real possibility of going down 0-3 here in their best of seven series with the Heat. The Heat took game one 115-104 and then game two 116-114. Milwaukee needs to get back to a defensive style of play that got them through the last round of playoffs. They are giving up way too many points to the Heat in this series. They came around in the Orland series, holding the Magic to 107, 106 and 104 in the last three wins. That's just what I see them need to do here tonight or they will be facing possible bubble ejection if they aren't careful. I'm taking the UNDER here in game three. |
09-03-20 | South Alabama v. Southern Miss UNDER 57.5 | 32-21 | Win | 100 | 11 h 13 m | Show
College football is back! At least pandemic style and missing some teams. Still, we get football here on Thursday night. This game looks to pit the Southern Miss offense against a suspect South Alabama defense. Southern Miss Golden Eagles averaged just over 26 ppg last year. However, most of that was through the air as the team struggled on the ground (121st ranked rushing). South Alabama did have trouble stopping the run last year (ranked 98th). So we'll see if Southern Miss looks to establish a rushing game here tonight. South Alabama's offense is pretty much all on the ground. They were 54th last year in rushing yards with 171.4 yards per game. Expect these teams to be rusty here in their first game and defense to dominate this game. I'm playing UNDER. |
09-02-20 | Thunder v. Rockets UNDER 217.5 | Top | 102-104 | Win | 100 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
Game 7 here between the OKC Thunder and the Houston Rockets. The Thunder staved off elimination in game six by taking the Rockets out of their run-and-gun normal game plan. The Thunder slowed the game way down and it resulted in a win, 104-100. Now, can they do it again here in game seven? That's the question. Turnovers also were a big part of the Rockets losses. They turned the ball over on average 17.3 times per game in their three losses. I think these teams will once again be playing a low scoring game. I'm taking the UNDER. |
08-30-20 | Golden Knights v. Canucks OVER 5.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 43 m | Show
The boycott from a few days ago forced these teams into this back-to-back spot here on Sunday. The Vegas Golden Knights took game two in a dominating performance, 3-0. Lehner was great in goal turning away every shot and the Knights once again outshot their opponents. The Knights were outshot in the 1st quarter, but scored on two of their first three shots on goal. Expect Marc Andre-Fluery to be between the pipes today for the Knights. Fluery hasn't seen much action as Lehner has been the primary net minder since they returned to bubble action. Might see some rust here tonight with Fluery and and with the total dropping from six to 5 1/2 I'm taking the OVER. |
08-29-20 | Nationals v. Red Sox OVER 11 | 3-5 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 40 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox continue to occupy the bottom rung in the AL East at 10-22. They have lost two straight and six of their last 10 games. They will host the Washington Nationals here on Saturday. The Nats are also in last place, in the NL East. The defending Champions are just 12-17 so far this season. The Nats will start Anibal Sanchez today. Sanchez is 1-3 with a 6.489 ERA this season. Sanchez is coming off his best start of the season with a seven inning outing vs the Marlins with just five hits and one run. The Red Sox will counter with Chris Mazza. Mazza makes his second start of the season. His first wasn't that good, going just three innings vs the Yankees and allowing eight hit and four run. I like the visitor in this one, Sanchez can build off that last excellent start. Play Washington. |
08-29-20 | Thunder v. Rockets OVER 227.5 | 80-114 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 41 m | Show
NBA back on the hard court here tonight as the Thunder and the Rockets resume their series. The Rockets took game one and two of this series and looked ready to wipe out the Thunder. However, OKC came roaring back in games three and four to even this series at 2-2. These games have been high scoring with three of the four hitting at least 226 points. Only game two was a low scoring affair in a Houston win, 111-98. With some rest the last few days I like these teams to come out scoring and Houston to continue firing from the 3-point stripe. Take the OVER. |
08-29-20 | Braves v. Phillies OVER 10 | 1-4 | Loss | -122 | 1 h 34 m | Show
Early start here on Saturday has the Braves taking on the Phillies. Atlanta is in first place in the NL East with a 18-13 record. They have won seven of their last 10 games. The Phillies are 4th in the East with a 13-14 record and have won four in a row. Josh Tomlin starts his third game for the Braves today. Tomlin is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA. He will face Zach Eflin today. Eflin is 1-1 with a 5.12 ERA. Neither pitcher is very good and both teams can hit. I'll take the OVER. |
08-28-20 | Sparks v. Sun OVER 161 | Top | 80-76 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 26 m | Show |
The LA Sparks are in 3rd place in the WNBA in a very crowded top 5 spots. In fact, only two games separate the top five teams in the WNBA. The Sparks have won seven streak games and average 86.3 ppg while allowing 79.2 ppg. The Connecticut Sun are in 7th place with a 6-8 record. The Sun won their last game and have won six of the last 10. They average 79.8 ppg while allowing 80.6 ppg. For me, I love this game to go over the total here tonight. Play OVER. |
08-25-20 | Canucks v. Golden Knights OVER 5.5 | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 36 m | Show
The Vegas Golden Knights continue their dominance, opening with a resounding shutout win over the Canucks in game one of their series, 5-0. The Knights one again outshot their opponent and kept the offensive pressure on all night. The Canucks have a very good offense, so don't expect another shutout here tonight. The Knights have score four goals or more in every game in the bubble except for a 1-3 loss to Chicago in round one. I like tonight's game to go OVER. |
08-25-20 | Jazz v. Nuggets OVER 219 | Top | 107-117 | Win | 100 | 1 h 15 m | Show |
The Utah Jazz look to close out their series with the Denver Nuggets tonight. The Jazz lost game one to Denver and have since won three straight. Utah has had little trouble scoring against Denver with 125, 124, 124 and 129 points in their four games. Denver finally broke a two-game scoring drought with 127 points in game four, but still came up short. I don't see any reason to change in tonight's contest. I'm going to take the OVER here in game four. |
08-24-20 | A's v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 20 h 49 m | Show
The Oakland A's are 1st in the AL West with a 20-9 record. Their 20 wins are most in the AL so far and second in baseball to the 22 by the Dodgers. The A's will start Jesus Luzardo today. Luzardo is 2-0 in his four starts with a 3.54 ERA and 1.377 WHIP. He's coming off his best outing, a 6 1/3 inning showcase against Arizona where he allowed four hits and no runs. Lanc Lynn will counter for the Rangers. Lynn is 3-0 in his six starts with a 1.37 ERA and 0.814 WHIP. Lynn has no allowed more than two runs in any of his six starts this season. Another great pitching matchup and that means UNDER for me. |
08-24-20 | Twins v. Indians UNDER 9 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 54 m | Show
AL Central showdown here as the Twins lead the division by 1 1/2 games over the Indians. Both teams have had great success so far this season. Both teams have also won seven of their last 10 games. Despite a couple of bad innings over the weekend given up to the Tigers, the Indians still have allowed the fewest runs in the league with just 84. No other AL team has allowed less than 100 thus far. The Twins are second best in the AL in runs allowed with 100 even allowed. The Twins start Kenta Maeda on Monday, who came over in the offseason from the Dodgers. Maeda has proven very effective for the Twins, posting a 3-0 record in five starts with a 2.27 ERA and very low 0.632 WHIP. He's struck out 27 and walked just five this season. The Tribe will counter with Aaron Civale. Civale is 3-2 in his five starts with a 2.91 ERA and 0.971 WHIP. Both these starters have been very good and I will go UNDER in today's contest. |
08-22-20 | Rockies v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The Lakers flexed their muscles in game two of their series with the Blazers. After losing game one in bad fashion they rebounded with a resounding shutdown of the high scoring Portland offense, winning game two easily. The Lakers look to continue that here in game three. The Blazers realize that they need to play more of an uptempo game against the Lakers. The Blazers are led by Damian Lillard, who has been unstopable up until game two of this series. Problem for Blazers is that he hurt his index finger in game two, dislocating the finger. He will be playing today in game three, but how will this effect his play? Lilliard had only 18-points before leaving in the 3rd quarter with his injury. For me, even with a healthy Lilliard the Lakers have found out how to shut down this offense of the Blazers. Number a bit high for me here today, so I will go with the UNDER. |
08-22-20 | Lakers v. Blazers UNDER 225 | Top | 116-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
The Lakers flexed their muscles in game two of their series with the Blazers. 08-21-20 | Diamondbacks v. Giants OVER 9.5 | 2-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The two bottom teams in the NL West matchup here today as the Giants host the Diamondbacks. Arizona is 13-13, but has lost its last two games. The D'backs have allowed the 2nd most runs in the NL, only the Giants have allowed more. Robbie Ray toes the rubber for the D'backs with a 8.59 ERA in his five starts. Ray is coming off his best start of the year, one run and no hits over five innings against the Padres. The Giants are 11-16 and look to hold down the last spot in the West for the duration. Logan Webb gets the start today and is 1-2 in his five starts with a 3.54 ERA. Web has allowed five runs over his last 7 2/3 innings. Two teams with poor pens and questionable starters makes me love the OVER here. |
08-21-20 | Phillies v. Braves UNDER 8 | 2-11 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 52 m | Show
Phillies starting Aaron Nola. Nola has gone at least 5 innings in each start and has a nice 2.05 ERA. Same for the Braves that start Max Fried. Fried has gone at least 5-innings in each of hist five starts with a 1.24 ERA. Two very good starters that should get us past 5 innings. I'll take UNDER. |
08-21-20 | Nuggets v. Jazz UNDER 218.5 | 87-124 | Win | 100 | 4 h 40 m | Show
This series is tied 1-1 after Utah took game two, 124-105 over the Nuggets. Donovan Mitchell has been amazing for the Jazz. Mitchell had 57-points in a losing game one effort and then chipped-in another 30-points in the game two win. What made the difference for Mitchell was how he got more of his team mates involved in game two and didn't need to shoulder all the scoring himself. The Jazz put it all together in game two with both offense and defense. The Nuggets found the Jazz defense tough to get good shots in game two. I don't see that changing here in game three. Jazz have found what works and will do it again here. I'm taking the UNDER today. |
08-21-20 | Inter Milan v. Sevilla UNDER 2.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -120 | 6 h 9 m | Show
One of the two finals here in the UEFA Europa Champion's League. This should be a great matchup as La Liga's Seville is no stranger to winning this Champion's League. They have done so all five times they have reached the finals with the last in 2016. But what I love here is the UNDER. These are both great defensive clubs. Sevilla has allowed just one goal in their last six matches. Not to be outdone. Inter Milan has conceded just one goal over their last seven. This is an easy pick for me, I'm taking UNDER 2 1/2 goals. |
08-20-20 | Blazers v. Lakers OVER 229 | Top | 88-111 | Loss | -104 | 18 h 4 m | Show |
The Portland Trailblazers and LA Lakers play game two of their best of seven series. The Blazers have been basically in the playoffs since they returned, as every game was crucial to them making the postseason. They did so by beating the Grizzlies in a play-in game last Saturday, 126-122. The Blazers shocked the Lakers in game one, taking the opening stanza of this series. Damian Lillard has been unstoppable, as he collected 34 points in the game one victory. The Lakers could see the return of Rajon Rondo, who has been cleared to play and is day-to-day. Still, the Blazers will continue to pile on the points as they have done since returning to play. The Lakers will have to match the here on Thursday. Take the OVER. |
08-20-20 | Reds v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 5 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals got a break due to a Covid-19 positive test, but they are back. The Cardinals have just 13 games under their belt and area 6-7, but in 3rd place in the NL Central. Adam Wainwright has pitched very well for the Cards this year in his two starts. Wainwright is 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA and a 0.818 WHIP. The Cincinnati Reds are in 4th place in the NL Central with a 10-12 record. Sonny Gray gets the start today. Gray is 4-1 in his five starts with a 2.05 ERA and 0.913 WHIP this season. Great pitcher's duel here today, but I'll take the UNDER. |
08-20-20 | Indians v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show
Cleveland Indians continue to keep pace with the Twins in the AL Central. The Twins are in first place with a 16-9 record and the Indians are right behind with a 15-9 record. The Indians have arguably the overall best pitching staff right now, allowing just 66 total runs (Best in the Majors). The Indians staff will face the light hitting Pirates today. Pittsburgh is in last place in the NL Central with a 4-16 record and have the worst record in baseball. They have just 78 runs and a -42 run differential. Shane Bieber goes today for the Tribe. Bieber is 4-0 in his five starts with a nifty 1.30 ERA and 0.721 WHIP. He's also KO'd 54 and walked just six. Trevor Williams starts for the Pirates and even though he hasn't pitched poorly, he is 1-3 in his four starts. Williams has a 3.98 ERA and 1.229 WHIP. In fact, he hasn't allowed more than three runs in any start this season. Can't lay the enormous price on the Indians here, but I will take the UNDER. |
08-18-20 | Blackhawks v. Golden Knights OVER 5.5 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 16 m | Show |
Total line has dropped in this series as Vegas looks to close out the Hawks and move on in the playoffs. Vegas led 3-0 in this series but lost game four, 1-2. That despite having 48 shots on goal, more than double the shots of Chicago. Blackhawks goalie Crawford just was not to be beaten in game four as he was the reason for the win. Game one started at 6 1/2 and now we see a 5 1/2. Vegas continues to put on pressure and shots and I look for that luck in game four to go away here tonight for the Hawks. Vegas will score in this game and with a goal or two from Chicago it should go over quite easily. Play OVER. |
