Taking the RED SOX. So this is a little double play action. We have the OVER 9 and going with Boston. Look. I have been hard on Buehler all season. Guy has not been good at all. His home splits not terrible - A 3.93 ERA but a decent .220 BA Against and 1.15 WHIP. He will give us 6 innings of 3 run ball tonight. That being said - Sox are crushing the ball right now. 10-10-9-6-10-11 (4-5) 13 runs their last 9 games. Rockies and Nats not the best of staffs. The offense is humming. I was high on Taj Bradley. The kid is still just 24 and in his 3 full season of work. So there could be some talent down the road. But this year, not so much. Average at best. He has some really nice starts and then a handful of absolute clunkers. Yanks tagged him for 6 runs on 9 hits in 5+ innings. In Miami, the Marlins 5 runs 6 hits 4 innings of work. Miami again - 7 runs on 6 hits in 4 innings. 5 runs in Citi Field vs the Mets (all unearned) but 4 hits 4 walks 4 innings. Orioles 1.1 innings 6 hits 7 runs 6 earned. 5 Runs at Baltimore again in 5 innings of work. Do I trust him as a small fave on the road vs a team that has put up 56 runs in their last 6 games? Absolutely not. 4* Money Maker BOSTON RED SOX

Taking the MARLINS. I like Brandon Woodruff. There was a time I was all in on Brewers winning the division when he and Corbin Burnes led the rotation. Fact is though, this guy hasn't thrown in the bigs since 2023. Do I expect him to come in here for 6/7 innings this afternoon after 10 starts in the minors? Heck now. 10 starts is a good sample. 7 at Triple A. But just 25 innings in those 7 starts. Marlins on a 11-3 run and winners of 15 of their last 21. Edwin Cabrera has been pretty darn his last few outings allowing 6 runs in his last 7 starts. That is good for a 1.48 ERA and 1.08 WHIP when you give up 24 hits in 37 innings of work. Brewers not an offensive power as they have gone 50-36 to the Under this year. Marlins get the call here on Sunday. 4* Money Maker MIAMI MARLINS

Taking the NEW YORK METS. So the Mets take 2 of 3 from the Brewers. I know they are still struggling with a 5-14 run or whatever they had been on. The Pirates sweep was as bad as it gets. Otherwise, they had been pitching pretty well even in their losses. They now get the Yankees who come in getting swept right out of first place by the Blue Jays. The pitching has been bad. 8-11-12-5 runs allowed. A lot of work for that bullpen. We can look at their last 2 games vs the A's also. A 12-5 win and 7-0 loss. Pitching problems. I get the little brothers with better pitching and a short price at home. I faded Stroman in his first start back (12-5 win vs Sevie). Will do it again today. 4* Money Maker NEW YORK METS

Taking the GIANTS. I will get to Robbie Ray in a second. This is really a fade of my guy B Fatty. I like Brandon Pfaadt, i do. But the kid has been a gas can this year. He has the wins sure, 8-5 in 17 starts, looks good enough. He also has allowed 97 hits in 85 innings. Just 72 Ks and 21 walks. If you aren't striking out a guy an inning in an era where strikeouts are basically encouraged, I am not all that interested in backing you most of the time. We can also look at his .280 BA Against and even a light hitting team will be able to generate some offense tonight. Robbie Ray is a guy who, when healthy, is as good as most of the top arms you want to name in baseball. We can go look at his best years in 2017 in Arizona and 2021 in Toronto. Seems like every 4 years the guy is healthy and ready to deal. Great road splits also this year with a .187 BA Against, a decent 1.13 WHIP. Again, 32 hits in 49 innings over 8 starts, 2.55 ERA. He has given up more than 3 runs just once this season back in April in Philly. We will get 6+ innings 6 K's and turn it over to one of the top bullpens in MLB. My mom taught me if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it all. So we won't mention the failures of the Arizona bullpen. 4* Money Maker SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

Taking the BLUE JAYS. A little annoyed at 4 rain outs yesterday. Still, we will take a winning day. A little even more annoyed that I didn't play the Jays this entire series. That is just dumb. Yanks are just not playing good ball right now and continue to be favored. 11 games over .500 and you are still down over 600 bucks if you have blindly bet 100 on them every game. Jays have won 7 of 10, 3 straight, and getting plus money. Sign me up. Berrios has been on a great run the last month plus. 5 June starts translate to a 1.97 ERA 205 BA Against a 1.00 WHIP. You take a fluke start in Philly giving up 7 runs and Berrios has given up exactly 1 earned run this month. Last 13 starts, including that 6 spot, 2 games more than 3 runs allowed. 4* Money Maker TORONTO BLUE JAYS

Taking the ATHLETICS. Prior to Sevie giving up 7 earned to Detroit in his last start, he had giving up exactly 4 earned (5 total) runs in his other 6 road starts. His road numbers are great. We are getting a huge number because one team is the Yankees and plays in New York and the other team is playing in a minor league park and no city name! How the heck is Stroman laying this huge price? The cat hasn't pitched since April 11th and in that start we saw him for 2/3rds of an inning getting smacked with 4 hits and 5 earned runs allowed. All 3 of his starts were trash. 9.1 innings 12 hits 12 earned runs a .300 BA Against a WHIP of 2.04 -- Hello! His 3 minor league starts were brutal also. 10.1 innings 13 hits 9 runs a .317 BA Against and a 1.74 WHIP.. But don't worry Yankee fans, he will be lights out today. Get the outta here with that. Taking CLEVELAND here. Will back Bibee at home. Has been solid in his 6 home starts with a decent .229 BA Against a 1.11. WHIP. Nothing all that flashy as he is just 1-2 in those 6 starts with a 2.50 ERA. He goes his 6 innings not allowing too many runs. Gausman right now looks to be in his worse year since about 2017. A rough June giving up 17 runs in 20 innings of work and hitters raked for a .290 batting average against him. That isn't going to win you many games or keep your team close either. His home/ road splits are pretty even. He's going to give you 5+. That is who he is. I believe Cleveland will get to Gausman here and should take this one in the 5-2 range. 4* Money Maker CLEVELAND GUARDIANS

Taking SAN FRAN. Giants have been beating San Diego the last 2 in a 4 game set. Pitching has not been a problem. You lose 1-0, 3-2 and win 6-5 and 3-2, the arms and bullpen are doing their job. Giants bullpen is one of, if not, tops in MLB for my money. Here we have the Braves coming cross country after a wild 11-10 loss, giving up 7 runs in the top of the 9th. I would say tough one, but Atlanta has dropped 4 in a row, 5 of 6, 8 of 10 and 11 of 14. Not exactly great baseball being played. Giants send their youngster Birdsong to the hill. Just his 4th start after some bullpen work. At plus money, and the way Atlanta has played, I am not running to back them. Schellenbach has been better at home than on the road this season giving up identical earned run (13) in 4 less starts (8/4). We will close noting the Braves sit in 4th place 2 games behind the Nats and just 3 ahead of Miami. A 10-20 road mark will do that to you. And another reason why we will go with the home underdogs and their 19-11 winning record. 4* Money Maker SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

Taking the CARDINALS. GAME 2 LIBERATORE MUST START for STL.. . One- If you watch Mid Day Money you know I went in for a hernia surgery on Wednesday. - I survived! - Two. A little sore in the core section. I would be lying if I said I can dive online into all these games Thursday. If I don't a have a pick in MLB over the next couple please understand I must have been having a really tough day recouping. I appreciate everyone who follows. -- On to the game. Will fade my guy Ragans in this spot. You know we have a KC win future and a Ragans win total over. That I think is a loser. He is just 2-3 in 12 starts and is now making his first start since hitting the IL back on May 16. And honestly, he wasn't all that sharp before. Cards just the better team right now, and the much better pitcher on the hill. Libertore has been pretty good this season. His numbers at home, excellent. A 1.69 ERA, and I am not a huge ERA fan. I like the WHIPs and BAAs. A .84 WHIP in 5 starts, awesome. A .198 Batting Average Against. Great. 27 runners in 32 innings and 27 Ks at home. Sign me up. Royals 38-22 to the Under this year. WE had the Under for yesterday and it got PPD. Kansas City with the least HRs in all of MLB. Bottom 5 in On Base and Slugging. Taking SEATTLE. Thought about a RL play for +180 here with the Mariners. They got destroyed last night losing 9-0. I always like for a team to bounce back after a terrible game, and having Trevor Williams hold you to 3 hits over 6, well, a bad one for sure. Now they get MacKenzie Gore. Now - I'm a fan of the young lefty. But the kid has had some road woes this year. If you watch Mid Day Money, or any of the shows I do, you know I am not a big ERA guy. Yeah, it's there, it is important. But what gets you that number? 2 numbers I do love WHIP and BAA (batting average against). And for Gore, a .310 BAA and 1.67 WHIP, well, even against the 2nd worse hitting team in all of MLB on their home field, I think that he catches a loss here. We will touch on Seattle starter Emmerson Hancock here too. This kid has 2 awful starts vs the Yanks and Tigers. The Detroit game totally brutal - 6 Earned in 2/3 innings. The Yanks got him for 7 earned in 5 innings. That is a 3.48 WHIP and 22.50 ERA! Take that trash out and he is at an ERA 3.55 and a much improved 1.32 WHIP. Off being shutout, Mariners bounce back. 4* Money Maker SEATTLE MARINERS
