09-12-21 | Bears +9 v. Rams | 14-34 | Loss | -120 | 10 h 11 m | Show
Chicago at L.A. Rams 8:20 ET Bears (+) over Rams- I expect the Rams now with Matthew Stafford leading the way at quarterback will receive the bulk of the 'action' as they are one of the NFC favorites to reach the Super Bowl. Chicago will try and bottle up the Rams with a defense led by Khali Mack and on offense they will rely on veteran and 3-time pro bowler Andy Dalton to lead the way (for now). The Bears are just 7-14 ATS on the road under Matt Nagy but, the average margin of loss is just 4-points. L.A. defeated Chicago 24-10 last season...it will be closer this season. Take Da' BEARS! |
09-12-21 | Packers v. Saints +3.5 | 3-38 | Win | 100 | 17 h 27 m | Show
Green Bay vs. New Orleans 4:25 ET Saints (+) over Packers- I had to drop this a notch because of the site change as it is being played in Jacksonville, Florida. Not far away but still not home. Well, the Packers Aaron Rogers ear is coming to an end and the Saints Jameis Winston ear is beginning. We can't count Winston out as he has thrown for 5,000 yards although those 30 intercepts will break any teams heart. Maybe with some good coaching and play calling he can shine. The Saints have been working out inTexas because of Ida and that can bering a team closer. I like the Saints to come marching in! Take NEW ORLEANS! |
09-12-21 | Dolphins +3.5 v. Patriots | 17-16 | Win | 100 | 17 h 25 m | Show
Miami at New England 4:25 ET Dolphins (+) over Patriots- Man-oh-man, I really want to see this one as the last two Alabama quarterbacks to win national championships will go head-to-head. Mac Jones has the job in New England and although he hasn't played a down yet he was elected captain by the veteran Patriots. Tua Tagovailoa was 6-3 as a starter for Miami last season but was not selected captain which many question. I love Jones and really question those that have doubted him and will continue to doubt him and he may prove the critics wrong but not Sunday. Even with Bill Belichick guiding him the Dolphins defense will swarm and harass him into mistakes. Take MIAM! |
09-12-21 | Cardinals +3 v. Titans | Top | 38-13 | Win | 100 | 14 h 6 m | Show |
Arizona at Tennessee 1:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Titans- I think the oddsmaker is giving the Cardinals a great deal of respect. Tennessee was 11-5 last season before falling in the playoffs while Arizona struggled to reach 8-8 and failed to make the playoffs. The Titans added A.J. Green and Julio Jones to offset their powerful running game with Derrick Henry and yet they are favorite by just the home-field margin of -3. It looks like Kyler Murray will have his way against the Titans' Achilles heel...their defense. Arizona leads the all-time series 7-4 and are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Take ARIZONA! |
09-12-21 | Seahawks v. Colts +3 | 28-16 | Loss | -108 | 14 h 4 m | Show
Seattle at Indianapolis 1:00 ET Colts (+) over Seahawks- I'm a bit surprised at the amount of support that the Seahawks are receiving from bettors around the country. The Seahawks didn't have a great preseason but for Indianapolis it was a disaster as newly acquired Carson Wentz first had a foot issues and then went into virus protocol. Seattle was 12-4 last season and opened a one-point favorite but have moved to a field goal. Look for the Colts defense to corral the Hawks and get the outright win. Take INDIANAPOLIS! |
09-12-21 | Chargers +1 v. Washington Football Team | 20-16 | Win | 100 | 14 h 58 m | Show
Miami at New England 4:25 ET Dolphins (+) over Patriots- Man-oh-man, I really want to see this one as the last two Alabama quarterbacks to win national championships will go head-to-head. Take MIAM! |
09-11-21 | Washington +7 v. Michigan | Top | 10-31 | Loss | -116 | 27 h 7 m | Show |
Washington at Michigan 7:30 Huskies (+) mover Wolverines- Many are calling it the 'worst loss in school history' as the Huskies dropped their opener 13-7 to FCS Montana. Could the then ranked No. 20 Washington have been looking ahead to this Big Ten matchup...we shall see. Michigan posted a 47-14 win over Western Michigan but lost their start wide receiver and kick returner to season ending injuries. Jim Harbaugh is under the gun to produce this season but has struggled against the Pac-12 going 1-10 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Huskies 4-1 ATS after SU bounce back here. Take WASHINGTON! |
09-11-21 | NC State v. Mississippi State +1.5 | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 26 h 57 m | Show
Money Game N.C State at Mississippi State 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Wolfpack- When NC State was installed as an 18-point favorite in their opener against South Florida I noted that either the Wolfpack are really good or the Bulls are bad. Well, the Bulls are worse than bad as the Pack shuts out USF 45-0. Mississippi State meanwhile was slipping by Louisiana Tech 35-34 with a 20-point fourth quarter come-from-behind win (largest comeback win in school history). NC State is taking to the SEC road where them and the ACC haven't fared so well as the Wolfpack are 1-8 on SEC road not have won since 1991 at South Carolina. Take the BULLDOGS! |
09-11-21 | Texas v. Arkansas +7 | 21-40 | Win | 100 | 26 h 51 m | Show
High Roller Texas at Arkansas 7:00 ET Razorbacks (+) over Longhorns- There was a time when there was a Southwest Conference this contest would draw a lot of attention. But, both these schools have had a rough time of late although they both are on the upswing right now. This will be the 79 meetings but the first time since 2014 and just the sixth time in the last 30 years and they had met 60 straight years. Texas will be going once again with redshirt freshman QB Hudson Card who passed for 224 against Louisiana while the Razorback rushed for 245 yards against Rice winning 38-17 after trailing 17-7. Hogs run while here. Take ARKANSAS! |
09-11-21 | Iowa v. Iowa State -4 | 27-17 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 23 m | Show
Power Play Iowa at Iowa State 4:30 ET Cyclones (-) over Hawkeyes- What has drawn my attention to this matchup is the way Iowa dominated Indiana last week (I totally misread that game) and that the Cyclones after a weak showing against BCS Northern Iowa are such a strong favorite. The Hawkeyes have won the last five meetings and now after am impressive 34-6 Big Ten they go on the road where they are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games as road underdogs. They has been heavy action and the Book maker will need the Cyclones and so will I. Take IOWA STATE! |
09-11-21 | Rutgers v. Syracuse +2 | 17-7 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 53 m | Show
Vegas Hotline Rutgers at Syracuse 2:00 ET Orange (+) over Scarlet Knights- Greg Schiano is back and so is Rutgers (1-0) as they opened the season with a 61-14 rout if Temple. The Scarlet Knights were 13-47 between coaching stints for Schiano while Syracuse had their worst season in school history going 1-10 losing their last five home games. But, the Orange opened with a win 29-9 at Ohio averaging 7-yards a rushing attempt while not committing a turnover. Going on past performances this line is way low and makes me believe that Syracuse is better than most think and are greatly improved. Take SYRACUSE! |
09-09-21 | Cowboys +9 v. Bucs | 29-31 | Win | 100 | 11 h 53 m | Show
Dallas at Tampa Bay 8:40 ET Cowboys (+) over Buccaneers- I know how bad Dallas looked in the preseason (0-4) and we can't be sure we even know if Dak or Elliot will play or if McCarthy can coach. Tampa Bay of course is a huge favorite as they return all 22 starters a first time feat for a SB champ and Brady was perfect in the preseason. Prescott is returning from a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle 11 month ago and hasn't played since. The 'action' should be heavy enough on the Buccaneers to make the 'points' a viable play. Boys' are 15-4 SU last 19 meetings and somehow, someway they should get the cash. Take DALLAS! |
09-06-21 | Louisville +10 v. Ole Miss | 24-43 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 0 m | Show
Louisville at Mississippi 8:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Rebels- There are plenty of storylines to follow from head coaches to player accomplishments on both sides of the ball. Mississippi's head coach Lane Kiffin enters his second season at Mississippi and he had the top offense in the SEC last season. Meanwhile Louisville's defense was ranked fourth in the ACC last year and have seven defensive starters returning. The Cardinals don't have no longer has the likes of Lamar Jackson as they have turned into a defensive club that was stingy giving up points but they do have the return of quarterback Malik Cunningham. Mississippi had the SEC's worst defense with a low of 16 sacks but, the Rebels led the SEC in rushing with and that's why the total is at 75.5. Take LOUISVILLE! |
09-05-21 | Notre Dame v. Florida State +7 | Top | 41-38 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Florida State 7:30 Seminoles (+) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame is once again ranked in the Top-10 although many doubt their ability to truly contend with the 'elites' in college football. The Fighting Irish have an experienced quarterback in Jack Coan who was beat out at Wisconsin by Graham Mertz after an early season injury. If any of you saw Mertz for the Badgers Saturday I have to wonder if this guy Mertz can win the job from Coan that Jack has a long way to go. Florida State was 3-6 last season with just two wins over FBS schools and are looking for a fresh start in coach Mike Norvell's second season. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
09-04-21 | Georgia v. Clemson -3 | 10-3 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 5 m | Show
SEC/ACC Power Play Georgia at Clemson 7:30 ET Tigers (-) over Bulldogs- Can anyone ever live up the billing and the headliner here is not perennial national contender Clemson it's the national perennial short-comers...Georgia. When I first saw this match-up I thought that the SEC Bulldogs plus the points would be a good take but I wasn't alone and it seems both 'pros' and public are in lock step. That has me moving toward Clemson who may have lost Trevor Lawrence but will just reload this season. JT Daniels the transfer from USC starts for Georgia and maybe we will see why he left. Take CLEMSON! |
09-04-21 | Indiana +4 v. Iowa | 6-34 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Big Ten Money Game winner Indiana at Iowa 3:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Hawkeyes- When the headlines for your football team is that you have a leading candidate is a center no matter how good he is I think what else you got. Indiana not know to be a football powerhouse won six games last season the most Big Ten wins they have had since 1987. The Hoosiers are led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., and they are 10-2 when he starts as he returns from a torn ACL. Indiana returns eight starters both on offense and defense and should win this one outright. Take INDIANA! |
09-04-21 | Alabama v. Miami-FL +19.5 | Top | 44-13 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
A-Play Megabucks Alabama vs. Miami-FL 3:30 ET Hurricanes (+) over Crimson Tide- Okay here's the gig...Alabama will be starting a Million-dollar quarterback that has yet to throw a pass at the NCAA level. The formidable Crimson Tide lost six offensive players in the first round and now matter what kind of system you have that is a lot of talent to replace. Miami who is 'Up and Coming' will have D'Eriq King back leading the attack and the 6th year senior has recovered from a torn ACL. Alabama is Big and Bad but that doesn't mean they would face some competition that stands up to them.Take MIAMI! |
09-03-21 | North Carolina v. Virginia Tech +6 | Top | 10-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show |
North Carolina at Virginia Tech 6:00 ET Hokies (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina has received plenty of 'hype' this year and for good reason as they return a prolific offense that put up 56 points against Virginia Tech last season. The Tar Heels with have three year starting quarterback Sam Howell leading the charge but they have to replace a pair of stellar running backs. The Hokies at 5-6 last season ending a 27-year bowl streak but the home team have won the past four meetings and VT is 6-3 at home in the series. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
09-02-21 | Ohio State v. Minnesota +14 | Top | 45-31 | Push | 0 | 31 h 55 m | Show |
Ohio State at Minnesota 8:00 ET Golden Gophers (+) over Buckeyes- I'm willing to take my possible lumps if I have to, but I can in no-way pass on the Golden Gophers here. To start with even after suffering a 52-24 beating by Alabama 'The Ohio State' will always be overrated especially starting the season and are always a popular public choice. Minnesota is in a great spot with many returning starters including a fourth year senior at quarterback and the Big Ten Running Back of the Year last season. Take the GOLDEN GOPHERS! |
08-29-21 | Patriots v. Giants +3.5 | Top | 22-20 | Win | 100 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
New England at New York Giants 6:00 ET Giants (+) over Patriots- New England is 2-0 in this year's preseason games while the Giants are 0-2 entering the final tune-up game before the records really count. This New York/Boston rivalry doesn't match the Yankees and Red Sox intensity but for some reason the Giants have always given the Patriots a difficult time winning five straight matchups ATS until their last meeting in 2019. Bill Belichick is pleased with the Pats play this preseason and now is looking toward their opener against the Dolphins in two weeks. Take NEW YORK! |
08-29-21 | Jaguars -4 v. Cowboys | Top | 34-14 | Win | 100 | 3 h 18 m | Show |
Jacksonville at Dallas 1:00 ET Jaguars (-) over Cowboys- Both of these clubs are winless in the preseason and neither are looking like playoff teams at this time. Through the years Dallas has been one of the worst preseason bets as they are 21-41 as favorites and 26-38 as underdogs in these meaningless games. Jacksonville is going with Trevor Lawrence for sure as they traded Gardner Minshew to the Eagles just days ago and will have veteran CJ Beathard in reserve. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer is looking for his first win as an NFL coach even if it is the preseason and will not be shy here while the Cowboys will sit at least 30 payers according to coach Mike McCarthy. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
08-28-21 | Chargers v. Seahawks -5 | 0-27 | Win | 100 | 13 h 25 m | Show
LA Chargers at Seattle 10:00 ET Seahawks (-) over Chargers- During the preseason there are a few coaches that look to win every time out and until this year Pete Carroll gas been stellar going 37-19 ATS. But, this time around his club the Seahawks are 0-2 scoring just one touchdown and one field goal in their two losses and now are a 5-point favorite against the Chargers who are 2-0 ATS in this preseason. I expect LA to protect their prized QB in Justin Herbert while Seattle will look to end the preseason on a positive note. Take SEATTLE! |
08-28-21 | Nebraska -7 v. Illinois | 22-30 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 39 m | Show
Nebraska at Illinois 1:00 ET Fighting Illini (+) over Cornhuskers- So here comes Nebraska favored by a touchdown or less after four straight losing seasons under Scott Frost. The Cornhuskers were 3-5 in 2020 while Illinois was 2-6 but there have been changes in Champaign as former Big Ten coach at Wisconsin Brett Bielema and more recently at Arkansas has 17 returning seniors for the Illini. I believe the 'fresh' blood and attitude will aid Illinois but the Cornhuskers have a 4-year starter at quarterback as Scott Frost panics over his job. Take NEBRASKA! |
08-27-21 | Steelers v. Panthers -3.5 | Top | 9-34 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at Carolina 7:30 ET Panthers (-) over Steelers- The Steelers who faltered down the stretch last season are off to a 3-0 preseason and will rest key players in their final preseason clash with Carolina. Pittsburgh will sit quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph as well as running back Najee Harris but will go with their starting offensive line for a good portion of the game. Carolina is 0-2 in the preseason and coach Matt Rhule is looking to close on a positive note and will get the most out of running back Chuba Hubbard and Sam Darnold as well as newly signed WR Robby Anderson. Take the PANTHERS! |
08-23-21 | Jaguars +4 v. Saints | Top | 21-23 | Win | 100 | 11 h 52 m | Show |
Jacksonville at New Orleans 8:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Saints- The coaching change in Jacksonville by bringing Urban Meyer to take over the reins may help, but even with Meyer at the helm the Jaguars lost their fifth straight pre-season game last week to Cleveland 22-13 opening as the favorite and are 0-5 ATS in those losses. New Orleans had quite a day in their opener as begun the post-Drew Brees era by committing six turnovers in their 19-16 loss to Baltimore with each quarterback throwing an interception while getting penalized 10 times. But, the true reason I like the Jags here is coaching. I just believe that Meyer will look to establish a positive mantra with his 'new' club here. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
08-20-21 | Bengals v. Washington Football Team -5.5 | 13-17 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 46 m | Show
Cincinnati at Washington 8:00 ET FT (-) over Bengals- I really like this spot as Washington is coming off the 22-13 loss at New England and Cincinnati posted an upset road win over Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay 19-14. The Bengals held the Buccaneers to 29 yards rushing while gaining 118 on the ground themselves. I look for Ron Riviera to establish a positive mental attitude with a win here. This week it with the Football Team that controls the ball and the scoreboard. Take WASHINGTON! |
07-20-21 | Suns v. Bucks -4.5 | Top | 98-105 | Win | 100 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
Phoenix at Milwaukee 9:00 ET Bucks (-) over Suns- Well, well, well...it took a real 'pressure' game for the true Chris Paul to show up like the CP we are used to seeing when it counts. Phoenix had the best road record in the NBA going 24-12 SU during the regular season but they are facing a Bucks team that is 9-1 at home during the Playoffs. From what I've seen the 'Greek Freak' has just taken over the in side game both offensively and defensively and he is just too strong inside when he has the ball and manages to dish the ball off for teammates easy buckets. Always a danger of the desperate Suns coming in under the 'number' but I don't believe this one will even be that close. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-17-21 | Bucks +4 v. Suns | Top | 123-119 | Win | 100 | 27 h 57 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Phoenix 9:00 ET Suns (+) over Bucks- Milwaukee was once again down 0-2 in a playoff series as they were against Brooklyn and Atlanta are now facing the Suns who have lost two straight for the first time in the playoffs. for the first time since 1993 and are on the brink of their first NBA Championship. The Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo is back in action but hasn't received the support from his mates on the road that are needed to win. The home team has dominated this series and a tight game is in the cards. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-14-21 | Suns +4.5 v. Bucks | 103-109 | Loss | -107 | 50 h 25 m | Show
Phoenix at Milwaukee 9:00 ET Suns (+) over Bucks- Ha, I'm the guy that stated 'take the Bucks when they are down,' yeah right, easier said than done, as I didn't believe it would happen again and it DID. It did and Milwaukee appears confident after having dropped the opening series games on the playoff road and then the big come back and recovery. The 'Freaks' supporting cast shows up at home and since his knee injury upon his return Antetokounmpo has been unstoppable. Phoenix is looking to do is attack him to the point of what he's at the foul line numerous times because that is his weakness. Suns 20-6 ATS after an ATS loss and gets the money here. Take PHOENIX! |
07-08-21 | Bucks +5.5 v. Suns | Top | 108-118 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 57 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Phoenix 9:00 ET Bucks (+) over Suns- Okay, guys and gals, many of my peers were taken back when I released Phoenix in Game 1 as I am for the most part looking for an underdog that can win the game. Now, when I post the Bucks in Game two I will hear 'Oh, the zig-sag', well it might seem that way and it works often enough but Milwaukee has responded throughout the playoffs this far when you would least expect it. I still can't figure out how a player can be named MVP twice in consecutive seasons and yet is a liability during crunch time in the biggest games. Defense yes, rebounding yes, and assists yes, but 3-point and free throw shooting are a terrible no-no. Still, an MVP responds here. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-06-21 | Bucks v. Suns -5.5 | Top | 105-118 | Win | 100 | 28 h 42 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Phoenix 9:00 ET Suns (-) over Bucks- Milwaukee defied the odds at Atlanta ion Game 6 with the 'Freak' but are up against them again Tuesday as they are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as underdogs and 13-27-1 in their last 41 as playoff underdogs. The 'number' behind the Suns are almost too good...almost. But, they are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 overall and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 as playoff favorites. I'm not worried about matchup or who's on the court really what I like is that the Suns are 6-1 ATS in their last seven meetings at home. Take PHOENIX! |
07-03-21 | Bucks +2 v. Hawks | 118-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show
Milwaukee at Atlanta 8:30 ET Bucks over Hawks- To start with both these teams most likely will be without their star players as Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo and Atlanta's Trae Young are nursing injuries. If you look closely on the statistical trends on this meeting between the Bucks and Hawks they all point toward the same result. The Hawks are outstanding at home going 29-14 SU and 27-16 ATS the Bucks are 18-26 ATS on the road including 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games as underdogs while the Hawks are 18-3 ATS in their last 21 as home favorites. The difference when these two clubs play home or away is like night and day (ha) as their role players perform much better when in their comfort zone at home then when playing on the road. Middleton and Lopez for Milwaukee are different depending on where they are playing and the same goes for Atlanta Capella and Hunter. So who shows up here with the Hawks favorited at home for the first time in the series...too much money on the Hawks...Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-30-21 | Suns v. Clippers +1 | Top | 130-103 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 37 m | Show |
Phoenix at LA Clippers 9:00 ET Clippers (+) over Suns- here we go again with the Clippers who have become so predictable I can't wait for their next game and only wish that his was a Best of 21 series. It's simple, go down 0-2 and then make a series out of it it's what they do! L.A.'s Paul 'Playoff P' George finally had a game that counted going 15-of-20 from the floor with 13 rebounds as the Suns just couldn't keep pace. Phoenix still has plenty of room only having to win one of the next two but they are some are only 2-10 ATS at LA with one of those 'covers' coming in Game 4 their 84-40 victory! I look for the Clippers to extend the series to seven games and expect an easy win here. Tale LOS ANGELES! |
06-29-21 | Bucks -6.5 v. Hawks | Top | 88-110 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 19 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Atlanta 8:30 ET Bucks (-) over Hawks- I've been led to believe that in the long run the 'cream will rise to the top' and I'm thinking that is what is happening in this series. Atlanta jumped out to a 1-0 lead by catching the Bucks unprepared for the Hawks high flying offense but have made the necessary adjustments in Games 2 and 3 holding Atlanta to 25 points less in Game 2 than in Game 1 and 14 points below that number in Atlanta in Game 3. I stated half jokingly that after the way Brooklyn blew out Milwaukee in the first two games of that series that I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucks came back and won it...and they did and 'we' did cash-in. Trae Young is questionable and that may be the death nil for the Hawks. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-28-21 | Clippers +5.5 v. Suns | Top | 116-102 | Win | 100 | 12 h 21 m | Show |
LA Clippers at Phoenix 9:00 ET Clippers over Suns- Chris Paul is on the brink of playing in his first NBA Finals after 15 frustrating years of falling short as Phoenix needs but one more win to enter their first Championship round since 1993. Los Angeles is still without 2-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Paul 'Playoff P' George depicts the adage 'Statistics never lie but they can be very misleading.' Although leading the Clippers with 23 points last time out he was 5-of-20 from the floor and 1-of-9 from 3-point range before fouling out and was also charged with a technical foul. In Game 3 he once again was LA's leading scorer but was 9-of-26 with six turnovers. But, with the Clippers on the edge of elimination they will scrape and claw until the final horn. Take LOS ANGELES! |
06-27-21 | Bucks v. Hawks +5 | Top | 113-102 | Loss | -112 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Atlanta 8:30 ET As Trae Young goes so go the Hawks as his performance has pretty much dictated the outcome of Games 1 and 2 scoring 48 in the Game 1 win and just 16 in the game 2 loss. So, Young is averaging 29.4 points in the playoffs with the next teammate in scoring is John Collins with just 14.4 ppg. Milwaukee of course has leading scorer, rebounder and assist man Giannis Antetokounmpo at 28.9 points with Khris Middleton next at 22.0 ppg and he is followed by Jrue Holiday (17.1). The Bucks are 2-0 in Game 3 of their playoffs series with the last a win over Brooklyn when down 0-2. But, here's the lowdown...Atlanta is 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall and the Bucks are just 2-5 ATS as road favorites and only 1-5 ATS in their last six Conference Finals. Plus I am always looking to take a team off a 34-point loss to rebound! Take ATLANTA! |
06-25-21 | Hawks v. Bucks -7.5 | Top | 91-125 | Win | 100 | 12 h 44 m | Show |
Atlanta at Milwaukee 8:30 ET Bucks (-) over Hawks- The high-flying Hawks swooped down on the Bucks in Game 1 and are fearless and playing with the utmost confidence. Milwaukee on the other hand continues to put themselves in jeopardy as they once again fall behind in a playoff series. Game 2 of a NBA Playoff series provides us with some interesting facts. To start with when a home team favored by 7-or-more points and loses Game 1 outright they are than an amazing 18-2 ATS in Game 2. Atlanta has had the best of Milwaukee going 13-6 ATS in the last 19 meetings but will have to overcome this unbelievable trend. Look for then Bucks to rebound here. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-23-21 | Hawks v. Bucks -7.5 | Top | 116-113 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 43 m | Show |
Atlanta at Milwaukee 8:30 ET Bucks (-) over Hawks- Atlanta has certainly shown that they belong as they have won two playoff series against the Knicks and the 76ers. Milwaukee pulled off the biggest surprise in the playoffs to date coming back from and 0-2 deficit after losing Game 2 by 49 points to Brooklyn before rallying for a win in Game 7 over a depleted Nets squad. This line appears to be very high and inviting if you like Atlanta especially when we see that the Hawks are 12-3 ATS in the last 15 meetings at Milwaukee. After two years of having the best record in the NBA and failing early in the playoffs the Bucks can advance to the Finals will a win over Atlanta and they are looking to atone for past failures just to get there. 06-22-21 | Clippers v. Suns -4.5 | Top | 103-104 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Phoenix 9:00 ET Suns over Clippers- There seems to be a patten with these Clippers as they go down early in these playoff series and then make an epic comeback and advance with or without 2-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard. The Suns with also be without one of their prime time players in Chris Paul whose absence has been overcome by Devin Booker's play. Both starts Paul and Leonard again will be sidelined. Phoenix is 8-0 in their last eight games overall sort of the way they closed last season in the 'Bubble' and they are 23-9 as home favorites. Take the SUNS! |
06-20-21 | Hawks v. 76ers -7 | Top | 103-96 | Loss | -108 | 12 h 29 m | Show |
Atlanta at Philadelphia 8:00 ET 76ers (-) over Hawks- It was a great run for Atlanta who has surprised the entire NBA in the progress they have made in the past season but as the Beatles said...It's all over now! The 76ers did what they had to do in their winning when facing elimination and that is something the Hawks will face for the first time. They would have to continue their torrid shooting and that's Trae Young's department while the rest of the crew struggles as they missed 11 of 24 free throws last time out. Atlanta will be without DeAndre hunter and most likely without Bogdan Bogdanovic and they just don't have the depth of the Sixers. Atlanta is just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and are only 1-4 ATS in their last five games in Philly. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-20-21 | Clippers +4 v. Suns | 114-120 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 2 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Phoenix 3:30 ET Clippers (+) over Suns- It appears to me that after the Clippers after all their failures in the past have been laying-in-wait for the playoffs and without the Lakers to contend with they have plenty of confidence with or without Kawhi Leonard. Don't get me wrong they are always better with Kawhi but they have played enough without him to compensate for his loss. Phoenix has the firepower but this is the furthest they have been in the playoffs in 20 years and they will feel pressure as the playoffs progress. I can talk about matchups and players abilities but that doesn't matter if you can't factor in a bad performance. The Clippers are 14-5 ATS in the last 19 meetings overall and have the mojo. Take LOS ANGELES! |
06-19-21 | Bucks +2 v. Nets | Top | 115-111 | Win | 100 | 13 h 28 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Brooklyn 8:30 ET Bucks over Nets- Let me start by saying at at Pick-em or close enough that you will just have to pick the winner to win the bet. Now, here's the deal, NBA home teams own a 109-31 record in Games 7 and Milwaukee is 2-8 in their playoff Game 7's. Now, we are concerned as to who will actually play for the injured Nets as Irving is most likely out and Harden hasn't been the same and Durant is on another planet while playing at home. Here's a crazy stat, the Bucks are 31-15-1 ATS in the last 47 meetings but Brooklyn is 5-1 ATS at home. This line is just too inviting with all those home team stats so I must go the other way. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-18-21 | Jazz v. Clippers +2 | Top | 119-131 | Win | 100 | 11 h 42 m | Show |
Utah at L.A. Clippers 10:10 ET Clippers (+) over Jazz- Utah the No. 1 seed in the West grabbed a 2-0 series lead with a pair of wins at home but now have dropped three straight for the first time this season and are on the brink of elimination against a wounded but 'game' opponent on the Clippers. Los Angeles will be without two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Serge Ibaka who is out of the playoffs because of back surgery. Utah's Donovan Mitchell says that his sore right ankle that keep him out for 18 games has worsened during this series. Utah is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 at LA against the Clippers and are 4-0 ATS as road favorites while the Clips are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games...Take the CLIPPERS! |
06-17-21 | Nets v. Bucks -5.5 | Top | 89-104 | Win | 100 | 12 h 21 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 8:30 ET Bucks (-) over Nets- My first impression of Game 6 is that the oddsmaker is giving Milwaukee plenty of room to win and not 'cover' in this the highest point-spread in this series. This is what bothers me, yes I understand Irving is out but Harden is back and even at 80% he's good enough to be an asset and this 'price' makes me think the Bucks are more than likely going to run away from the Nets here. The 'number' is just too inviting and Brooklyn is 3-7 ATS as playoff dogs and 0-4 ATS in their last four games when underdogs. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-16-21 | Clippers +3 v. Jazz | Top | 119-111 | Win | 100 | 13 h 28 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Utah 10:00 ET Clippers (+) over Jazz- It's like they're playing with 'us' the way los Angeles hangs the fruit out to their opponents and then snatches it away before the befuddled pray. Aside from that this is a No. 1 seed at home with the line under a long range field goal and we aren't even in the conference finals yet. Just saying it looks way short to me and after a pair of blow out home wins the Clippers are really cocky and usually I don't favor that but LA is loving their role and brimming confidence. Meanwhile, the Jazz have to be shaken to their core as the were totally dominated in the last two and being the No. 1 seed brings a different pressure and attitude and their karma seems shot. The lone tells the tale...Take the L.A. CLIPPERS! |
06-16-21 | Hawks +6.5 v. 76ers | 109-106 | Win | 100 | 11 h 56 m | Show
Atlanta at Philadelphia 7:30 ET 76ers Hawks over This might be another sad ending for the 76ers as wear and tear is breaking down the centerpiece of the Philadelphia franchise Joel Emiid who gives so everything he's got every night he plays. The difference between his first two games and the last two has less to do with the games being on the road as it does that Embiid is laboring through it all like a true warrior. Ben Simmons is who is as he'll go 0-9 FT or 1-11 from the field. Hawks are hungry and can take this down to the wire with Embiid limping to the final horn. Take ATLANTA! |
06-15-21 | Bucks v. Nets +4.5 | Top | 108-114 | Win | 100 | 12 h 7 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Brooklyn 8:30 ET Nets (+) over Bucks- Confused? I am! When Brooklyn went up 2-0 I whispered 'The Bucks look so bad they might win the series' but, was I half joking or completely joking. Either way with Irving going down and Durant the last man standing among the Big-3 can the Nets regroup as a home underdog. Milwaukee is just punk enough to get beat or win under the number while they don't shoot well on the road and Durant had his two poor shooting nights in Milwaukee. Tough call but my gut says take the injured party...play BROOKLYN! |
06-14-21 | 76ers v. Hawks +3.5 | Top | 100-103 | Win | 100 | 11 h 38 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over 76ers- The Hawks were flying high after running past the Knicks and jumping out to a huge early lead in Game 1 at Philadelphia posting an easy win. Well, nothing has come easy since the third quarter of Game 1 as the 76ers have decided to play like men and Atlanta hasn't been up to the task. The Sixers broke the Hawks 13-game home winning streak and now it's time for the Hawks to re-establish the home court swagger and they are good enough to show it. Take ATLANTA! |
06-13-21 | Suns v. Nuggets +3.5 | 125-118 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 37 m | Show
Phoenix at Denver 8:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Suns- Considering the history between these two clubs I'm a bit surprised that Phoenix has dominated this series as much as they have. Denver who is 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings including 7-3 ATS at home against the Suns hasn't been able to get their offense going and have lost the three games in this series by -16, -19 and -11 points against the 'number. After averaging 115.1 points for the season the Nuggets are scoring just 102.3 points per game against Phoenix. That has to change for one night...tonight. Take DENVER! |
06-13-21 | Nets v. Bucks +2 | Top | 96-107 | Win | 100 | 8 h 50 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 3:00 ET Bucks (+) over Nets- There is 1:20 left in Game 3 with the Nets holding a 3-point lead after a Kevin Durant bomb and I'm thinking same old story with Milwaukee. Here they've blown a 21-point lead and they about to go down 0-3 and then the 'phone rang!' The Bucks come-back win was due largely because neither Durant nor Irving saw the ball again as Bruce Brown took over for the Nets and missed three shots and the beat-goes-on. There is no question Brooklyn is the superior team but maybe the 'Greek' can make a 3-pointer or two because he has no chance at the Free Throw line. Still, 'Karma' is a freaky thing and right now it sits with the Bucks. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-12-21 | Jazz v. Clippers -4.5 | Top | 106-132 | Win | 100 | 12 h 9 m | Show |
Utah at L.A. Clippers 8:30 ET Clippers (-) over Jazz- We have seen this scenario before and the question is...will we see the same result? The Clippers are once again down 0-2 in a Best-of-7 series having dropped a pair in Utah, with the difference being that this time they at least return home down 0-2 for a Game 3. In their series against Dallas they had to deal with Luca Doncic and things haven't gotten any easier as Donovan Mitchell is averaging 41 points in the series with six 3-pointers in each game. The Jazz have always given the Clips fits as they are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 visits to LA and 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. But, even the Clippers don't believe that they can come back if the fall down 0-3. So, they win, but by how many...is this like the Bucks win, a non-cover or a trouncing, but it's true is Utah is a better team but they fall short here. Take CLIPPERS! |
06-11-21 | 76ers v. Hawks +1.5 | Top | 127-111 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 56 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:03 ET Hawks over 76ers- After shooting the lights-out in Game 1 the Hawks returned to Earth and fell in Game 2 to Philadelphia as Joel Embiid dominated play. The series switches to Atlanta where the Hawks have won 13 straight since April 15 including six straight over the 76ers. The Sixers who have struggled on the road are 6-18-2 away from home against teams with winning records and are 7-15 ATS in the last 22 meetings overall while the hawks are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games. Take ATLANTA. |
06-10-21 | Clippers +3.5 v. Jazz | Top | 111-117 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 4 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Utah 10:00 ET Clippers (+) over Jazz- The Clippers managed to blow a 13-point lead in Game 1 but still got the money as the points came into play. Donovan Mitchell was the key to the Utah come-from-behind win as he scored 32 of his 45 points in the second half. Los Angeles has always had problems against the Jazz as they are just 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings and 8-21-1 ATS in the last 30 meetings in Utah. But, this Clippers squad is motivated and will prevail here. Take the CLIPPERS! |
06-10-21 | Nets v. Bucks -3.5 | Top | 83-86 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 7:30 ET Bucks over Nets- I've seen plenty of NBA playoff games in my time and I seen teams get routed by superior clubs but I don't ever recall a team no matter how high or low a seed is ranked dominate a team the way Brooklyn abused in the first two games of this series. Game 1 was never as close as the scored indicated and the Nets just won for fun as we would say. Milwaukee lost by 20-points four different times this season and they responded with a win by an average 18.8 points after each loss. Brooklyn is 2-7 ATS in their last nine playoff games and the Bucks are 4-1 ATS in their last five as playoff favorites. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-09-21 | Nuggets v. Suns -5.5 | 98-123 | Win | 100 | 12 h 49 m | Show
Denver at Phoenix 9:30 ET Suns (-) over Nuggets- I sure hope that I don't get caught in what I call 'the switches' as I posted the Nuggets in Game 1 and lost and now I'm switching sides and taking Phoenix in Game 2 and laying the points. The fear here is that the Suns will will but catch their backers in the 'gaff' a win as a favorite without covering the number (like the Jazz last night). Hopefully Phoenix has broken through against Denver who they have struggled against through the years going 6-14 in the last 20 meetings. Take PHOENIX! |
06-08-21 | Clippers +4 v. Jazz | Top | 109-112 | Win | 101 | 14 h 17 m | Show |
Los Angeles Clippers at Utah 10:00 ET Clippers (+) over Jazz- I kind of like this side as the Clippers enter this series as the underdog up against Utah the No.1 seed. LA laid down the final weekend in order to face Dallas yes, but they also knew it would be Utah next. They got what the wanted and took the Mavericks down as the cream rose to the top and now they play a Utah team that has never been in this position as they were always positioned behind at least the Lakers and more. The Jazz had that incredible run that pushed them so far ahead they were just on cruise control the final eight weeks. There is one tiny little thing...the Clippers just get hammer by Utah year after year as they are not only 3-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings but in Utah they are 8-20-1 ATS in last 29 meetings in Salt Lake. Sooo, we DO have a chance! It's times like these I have to remember that 'the future doesn't equal the past' or something like that! Personally, I can say that I am 'playing' this game. Take the CLIPPERS! |
06-07-21 | Nuggets +4.5 v. Suns | Top | 105-122 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 9 m | Show |
Denver at Phoenix 10:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Suns- The 'long guns' have made their mark early in the NBA playoffs as Devin Booker along with Trae Young are bombing away from ridiculous lengths and dominating the score board. Both clubs held service in their opening round matchups as the No. 2 seeded Suns upended the Lakers in five games and No. 3 Denver jettisoned upstart Portland in six games. The Nuggets seem like the most 'unlikely' side of the day as they enter the injured party with Jamal Murray sidelined. The Mile-High club has more playoff experience and are 12-51- ATS in their last 18 games as playoff underdogs. Although Phoenix took it outright to the Lakers from start to finish but, they have always struggled against the Nuggets. The Suns have gone 6-14 ATS in the last 20 meetings overall and 3-7 ATS at home. Take DENVER! |
06-07-21 | Bucks +2 v. Nets | 86-125 | Loss | -121 | 12 h 38 m | Show
Milwaukee at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Bucks (+) over Nets- In Game 1 James Harden went down 43-seconds into the game and Brooklyn rallied for a dominating 115-107 win that wasn't that close. Milwaukee has a string of playoff failures that look to continue but things were different in the past. After posting the best record in the East the past two seasons the Bucks were eliminated early in the playoffs as expectations and pressure was too much to endure. This year they coasted during the regular season and less is expected of them. Now, down 0-1 they know what has to be done and the oddsmaker likes their chances tonight. So do I! Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-06-21 | Mavs v. Clippers -6 | 111-126 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
Dallas at L.A. Clippers 3:30 ET Clippers over Mavericks- This 'price' seems a bit on the high side as both clubs have yet to 'cover' a spread at home as the visitor is 6-0 ATS and SU. I've always believe that in the end the 'cream' will rise to the top and today we will see if the Clippers are really the cream or just another season of sour milk. Okay, what this looks like is that two of the NBA's true superstars will battle in out once again with the loser being shown the door out of the playoffs. Dallas has won (ATS) their last four visits to LA but are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 overall as underdogs. Take CLIPPERS! |
06-06-21 | Hawks +3 v. 76ers | Top | 128-124 | Win | 100 | 6 h 50 m | Show |
Atlanta at Philadelphia 1:00 ET Hawks (+) over 76ers- Philadelphia's Joel Embiid status for this game is up in the air as suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee and his availability is in doubt. Even if he plays I question just how effective he will be. Embiid missed 21 of the 72 games played this season and the 76ers were 10-11 without him and won Game 5 against the Wizards in the playoffs. Atlanta like Philly need just five games to advance against New York and are playing their best basketball going 27-11 since Nate McMillan took over on March 1. Atlanta is 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings and they could take this outright on the floor. Take the high flying HAWKS! |
06-05-21 | Bucks +4 v. Nets | Top | 107-115 | Loss | -102 | 11 h 21 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Bucks (+) over Nets- A great match-up of the two top scoring teams in the NBA with the Bucks the leader at 120.1 per contest and Brooklyn a tad behind averaging 118.6. In actuality the nets probably have more offensive potential as their number were accomplished with the Big-3 (Durant, Irving and Harden) playing only 11 game together. But, I seem to believe that after the way Milwaukee was jettisoned from the playoffs early the past two years that they are on a playoff mission this season. Although the Bucks are 0-8 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs they are 16-4-1 ATS in their last 21 meetings in Brooklyn and the nets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 as home favorites. Take no attention to any of that stuff. Just take MILWAUKEE! |
06-04-21 | Clippers v. Mavs +2.5 | Top | 104-97 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 10 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Dallas 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- It appears to me that there has been a 'changing of the guard' so to speak as LeBron James fades in the twilight of his career Luka Doncic has emerges as the most dominate big game in the game and he needn't play near the basket. Limited by a neck strain Doncic had 42 points and 14 assists last time out and the Clippers can not find a way to slow him down. Dallas has won four of the last five meetings and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as underdogs. The Clippers are 2-6 in their last eight road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as favorites. Take DALLAS! |
06-03-21 | Suns v. Lakers -2 | 113-100 | Loss | -104 | 15 h 34 m | Show
Phoenix at L.A. Lakers 10:30 ET Lakers over Suns- For any of 'us' that saw the last meeting between these two the Suns 115-85 rout in Game 5 over the Lakers when they had a 30-point half-time lead (66-36) and trailed by as many as 36 points. It was so bad a defeat LeBron James left for the locker room with more than five-minutes remaining. Playing without the injured Anthony Davis (so what's new) Los Angeles had no answer for the hot shooting Suns. Granted Phoenix looks much the best here but when a team losing like the Lakers I see a huge effort tonight and a win or they are gone. Suns 1-4 ATS as underdogs and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games. Take LOS ANGELES! |
06-02-21 | Hawks +1.5 v. Knicks | Top | 103-89 | Win | 100 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
Atlanta at New York 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over Knicks- After winning the opening game of this series with Atlanta I have stubbed my toe since and this one 'kills' me personally as the Knicks seem to have lost their confidence and it has a lot to do with Julius Randle's struggles which are being cause by the hounding dog-it Hawks defense. It seems New York coach Tom Thibodeau knows this team over-achieved this season and can't find the answers. A handicapper I respect told me you have to 'take the Knicks because you can only lose once' and I responded 'I would rather WIN'! It pains me but...take ATLANTA! |
06-01-21 | Blazers +2 v. Nuggets | Top | 140-147 | Loss | -102 | 13 h 42 m | Show |
Portland at Denver 9:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Nuggets- This Best-of-7 series is tied at two wins apiece after Portland was able to get even at 2-2 after posting a 20-point home win last time out. Denver now has the home court advantage and yet the high seed is just a 1.5-point favorite at home. That sends a message to me that the Trailblazers are the play as they are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games and 6-2 ATS as underdogs in their last eight in that role. They are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings in Denver and I believe that they win this one easy...take PORTLAND! |
05-31-21 | Jazz v. Grizzlies +5.5 | Top | 120-113 | Loss | -102 | 13 h 14 m | Show |
Utah at Memphis 9:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Jazz- Utah who had a great 3-point run earlier in the season when the 'covered' 19 of 21 games while having four players shooting over 40% at the season's mid-point. The Jazz ended up shooting 38.9% as a team from 3-point range but ended up fourth in the league. Utah won Game 3 easily and are 26-12 ATS after an ATS win while Memphis is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 as underdogs including 5-1 ATS as home dogs. Take MEMPHIS! |
05-30-21 | Knicks +5 v. Hawks | Top | 96-113 | Loss | -107 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
New York at Atlanta 1:00 ET Knicks (+) over Hawks- This series was set up as a match between a pair of scoring leaders in Atlanta's Trae Young and the Knicks Julius Randle. The face-off has been failure for Randle as he has gone from averaging 37.3 points against the Hawks to 14.7 points in this series and is shooting 24% in the playoffs and his assists are down from 6.7 to 3.3 per game. Atlanta is young (HA) and hungry as are the Knicks but have struggled against New York when playing as hosts. The Knicks are 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings including 18-7-1 ATS in Atlanta and they are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 road games and 9-3 ATS as road underdogs. Take NEW YORK! |
05-29-21 | Jazz v. Grizzlies +5.5 | Top | 121-111 | Loss | -108 | 12 h 15 m | Show |
Utah at Memphis 9:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Jazz- Okay, Utah's Donovan Mitchell has returned and made an impact in Game 2 of this series scoring 25 points including five long range shots which help the Jazz to even the series at 1-1. These two met once in Memphis this season and Utah won 111-107 as a 4.5-point favorite and were without Mitchell and now with him in the lineup they are only five-point favorites. Memphis is the ninth seed and the Jazz are No.1 and this line seems way short to me. Take the GRIZZLIES |
05-29-21 | 76ers v. Wizards +6.5 | 132-103 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 45 m | Show
Money Game Philadelphia at Washington Wizards (+) over 76ers- Philadelphia's Joel Embidd says he love to play on the road as the trash talk gives him incentive and he's not lying as the 76ers were 20-16 SU on the road a huge improvement from their 2019-20 start of 2-11 SU. Washington host Philly one this season and were crushed 127-101 as they won all three regular season meetings to go with the two playoff games. That was the only cover at Washington for the Sixers in their last five games in DC. Russell Westbrook is questionable but the Wizards have played plenty of games with him or Beal sidelined. Wizards 6- ATS in last seven games as underdogs. Take WASHINGTON! |
05-29-21 | Nuggets +4.5 v. Blazers | 95-115 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
Denver at Portland 4:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Trailblazers- Denver has taken a 2-1 series lead after having dropped Game 1 in Portland and have done it without their leading scorer Jamal Murray who is out for the playoffs. The Blazers have done what was expected 'here' as we posted them to win game won and then reversed course a 'we' will maintain the course again. The Nuggets are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings in Portland and are 6-2s-1 ATS as underdogs. Portland is just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games as home favorites and 7-24-1 ATS in their last 32 playoffs games when favored. Take DENVER! |
05-28-21 | Nets v. Celtics +8 | Top | 119-125 | Win | 100 | 12 h 20 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Boston 8:30 ET Celtics (+) over Nets- This appears to be the biggest mismatch of the playoffs so far as Brooklyn is at full strength with their Big-3 of Durant, Irving and Harden. The Nets have been hit with one injury since the post season started as forward Jeff Green will be out the rest of this series. Boston's star Jayson Tatum is expected to play despite a swollen right eye injured by Durant in the third quarter in Game 2. This contest marks to return of Kyrie Irving to Boston and the fan reaction will not be pleasant. Look for the Celtics to squeeze out a win here and get the money. Take BOSTON! |
05-28-21 | Knicks +4.5 v. Hawks | 94-105 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 50 m | Show
Power Play New York at Atlanta 7:00 ET Knicks (+) over Hawks- Atlanta has played to one of the biggest home court advantage in the NBA as they have won their last 11 SU as hosts and 19 of their last 21 home games. This game might actually come down to the head-to-head dealing between Atlanta's Trae Young's offense and the Knicks veteran Derrick Rose's defense because New York's lone All-star Julius Randle has struggled thus far this post season. I expect Randle to pick up his game tonight and for the Knicks defense to be the difference. Take NEW YORK! |
05-27-21 | Nuggets +4 v. Blazers | 120-115 | Win | 100 | 13 h 6 m | Show
NBA Money Game Denver at Portland 10:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Trailblazers- Denver won the game that had to win after losing Game 1 they responded with a 128-109 victory that sent a message. The Nuggets are 10-4-1 ATS as playoff underdogs and look to take advantage of the Trailblazers poor playoff record as playoff favorites as they are 7-23-1 ATS in their last 31 contests. It's been a great season on and against the Blazers and I expect them to fall here. Take DENVER! |
05-27-21 | Suns v. Lakers -7 | 95-109 | Win | 100 | 13 h 42 m | Show
Phoenix at L.A. Lakers 10:00 ET Lakers (-) over Suns- The question here is, are they back? After a disappointing Game 1 loss for the Lakers Anthony Davis was called out after his Game 1 performance and he responded like a true champion with 34 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks. His well balance all-round game was on display while Chris Paul once again disappeared when it counted most during the playoffs. Although Phoenix is 11-3 ATS after a SU loss and are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games as underdogs but they are 2-5 ATS in LA and the Lakers will have LeBron James at full strength. LA will have to play up as this is a tough 'number' to cover. Take the LAKERS! |
05-27-21 | Bucks v. Heat +2 | Top | 113-84 | Loss | -114 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Miami 7:30 ET Heat (+) over Bucks- The defending Eastern Conference Champions are stuck 0-2 in this series and they return home after the worst loss in Heat playoff history. Miami was never in Game 2 after a narrow loss in Game 1 and Jimmy Butler has yet to show up to play scoring just 27 total points in both games. Miami felt that the pressure to win at home was on Milwaukee and that's what they did and now it's the Heats' turn to get hot at home. Take MIAMI! |
05-26-21 | Hawks +2 v. Knicks | Top | 92-101 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 11 m | Show |
Atlanta at New York 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over Knicks- I would love to have the Knicks here and win but I just don't believe that is going to happen. It has been a breakout year for New York and Julius Randle who just won the NBA's Most Improved Player award. The Knicks who led the NBA in defense are now realizing in the playoffs that they need a bit more on offense as their off-guard position has been their biggest problem. Madison Square Garden will be packed with the starving for a playoff win Knicks fans but they most likely will go home disappointed. Dating back to the olden days New York is 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games as favorites and I believe this line after a home loss is too inviting. Take ATLANTA! |
05-25-21 | Mavs v. Clippers -6.5 | 127-121 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 42 m | Show
Dallas at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers (-) over Mavericks- Los Angeles has dropped their last three and their inconsistency in just madding as they truly are a different team with and without Kawhi Leonard. Averaging 24.8 points, 6.5 RPG, 5.2 APG and defensively 1.6 steals and 0.5 shots blocked per game and his all around games helps everyone. Coming off a poor shooting night in Game 1 I expect Kawhi to rebound here and lead the Clippers at home are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings. LA can't afford to go down 0-2 knowing the Mavericks capabilities. Take CLIPPERS! |
05-25-21 | Celtics v. Nets -9 | 108-130 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show
Boston at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Nets (-) over Celtics- Brooklyn was a winner for 'us' in Game 1 and they didn't play particularly well in the process. It wasn't a matter of the Big-3 meshing together it was that they just didn't hit their shots missing their first 10 3-point attempts. Boston gave it the good old college try but they just don't have the firepower to stay with the Nets. The Celtics are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 0-7 ATS in their last seven games in Brooklyn and the Nets are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games as home favorites. The 'beat goes on'...take BROOKLYN! |
05-24-21 | Blazers +1.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 109-128 | Loss | -104 | 13 h 16 m | Show |
Portland at Denver 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Nuggets- Of all players that I least expect to deliver in the clutch was the difference in Game 1 as Megabucks winner Portland used the experience and scoring capabilities of Carmelo Anthony. Injected in the game late in the 1st quarter Anthony provided the offensive spark needed to propel the Trailblazers past the Nuggets. For Denver Michael Porter replaced Jamal Murray and for the most part the Nuggets never missed a step as they closed the season 12-4 without Murray. But, Portland is 24-13 SU on the road have depth to win again. Take PORTLAND! |
05-23-21 | Hawks +1.5 v. Knicks | 107-105 | Win | 100 | 11 h 7 m | Show
Atlanta at New York 7:00 ET Hawks (+) over Knicks- As someone who grew up rooting for Frazier, DeBusschere, Reed, Monroe and Bradley and having to wait two generations for the Knicks to gain respectability it pains me to have to take this position. Atlanta and New York finished the season with the same record but the Knicks won tie-breakers and get the home court advantage and yet they aren't even given the usual 3-point home court advantage although there will be 13,000 rabbit fans allowed to attend. This doesn't feel right and the 'public' is pounding the Knicks. Win with the 'High-flying' HAWKS! |
05-23-21 | Lakers v. Suns -2.5 | 90-99 | Win | 100 | 8 h 39 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Phoenix 3:30 ET Suns (-) over Lakers- It has been brought to my attention that the Lakers are still the odds on favorite to win the NBA title and are favored to win this series but are an underdog in Game 1. So, LeBron who missed 26 of the last 28 games will not be forced to sit out despite the of breaking NBA 'contact' rules. Phoenix is a great story having missed out on last season's 'bubble' despite winning their final eight games. L.A. is 3-13 ATS in their last 16 playoff games including 1-4 ATS as road playoff dogs. Take PHOENIX! |
05-23-21 | Wizards v. 76ers -7.5 | 118-125 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 9 m | Show
Washington at Philadelphia 1:00 ET 76ers (-) over Wizards- How's this for a turn-around, on April 5 the Wizards were 17-32 and closed the season's final 23 games at 17-6 and got into a playoff game against Indiana. Philadelphia has been playing the bridesmaid and were a major disappointment in the post season prior to this year but are now the No. 1 seed in the East. The 76ers' starting lineup is in full tack and with Embidd, Simmons, Harris Green and Curry was 27-5 on the season including 16-0 when playing together at home. Add that Washington is 1-8 ATS in their last nine playoff games as underdogs and they are 3-7 AST in their last 10 games in Philly. Take the 76ERS! |
05-22-21 | Blazers +1 v. Nuggets | 123-109 | Win | 100 | 13 h 28 m | Show
Portland at Denver 10:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Nuggets- Sometimes it's a matter of numbers that you can't turn away from as is the case here. Denver is the No. 3 seed in the West with Portland just getting into the playoffs as the final sixth seed by closing the season winning 6-of-7 and 8-of-10 including a season ending 132-116 as an 8.5-point favorite. Jamal Murray is out and Damian Lillard is in. Take PORTLAND! |
05-22-21 | Mavs +5.5 v. Clippers | 113-103 | Win | 100 | 7 h 17 m | Show
Dallas at L.A. Clippers 4:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- The Mavericks are well aware that this Los Angeles team went into the tank losing to the two worst teams in the NBA dropping contests to Houston and Oklahoma City allowing them to draw Dallas in the first round. The Mavericks were one of the better road teams in the NBA this season going 21-15 and have played their best ball of late going 6-1 ATS against winning teams and 5-1 Ats in their last six as underdogs. The Clippers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as favorites and although Dallas has nothing to brag about when it comes to the playoffs but LA is 1-5 ATS as playoff favorites. Mavs have incentive and enough to win. Take DALLAS! |
05-22-21 | Heat +5 v. Bucks | Top | 107-109 | Win | 100 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
Miami at Milwaukee 2:00 ET Heat (+) over Bucks- There are a number of reasons that I really like Miami here and I'm start with recent history. These two met a week ago in Milwaukee an important game for both with the Bucks prevailing 120-103 for their only 'cover' in their last eight games (1-7, L-8) while the Heat have won 12 of their last 16 SU with the return of a healthy Jimmy Butler and Doran Dragic. The Bucks are the NBA's leading scoring team but they have been here before more than once and every time it's the same scenario they play like a deer caught in the headlights. Take team with true grit. MIAMI! |
05-21-21 | Grizzlies +5 v. Warriors | Top | 117-112 | Win | 100 | 12 h 54 m | Show |
Memphis at Golden State 9:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Warriors- These two met each five days ago both each with 38-33 records and the Warriors (-3) won 113-103 and that is why this game is being played at Golden State. Memphis has been a tough out on the road going 22-14 ATS and are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 as underdogs and 6-2 ATS in their last eight as road underdogs. But, what makes this a difficult call is that Curry belongs in the next higher league and the Warriors are following his cue and are 6-0 ATS in their last six overall. Everyone understands that the NBA and fans as well want to see Golden State advance here and the money has been pouring in on the Warriors as expected but it is exceptionally heavy and I have to fade that kind of action. Still, there is room for the 'gaff' a win and non-cover by the favorite. Take MEMPHIS! |
05-20-21 | Pacers +3.5 v. Wizards | 115-142 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 52 m | Show
Indiana at Washington 8:00 ET Pacers (+) over Wizards- Indiana was 0-3 against the Wizards this season and surrendered at least 130 points in each game as Beal (50-points) and Westbrook (21 reb, 21 asts) have had a field day against the porous Pacers. Washington who has won 17 of 23 are off their worst game over six weeks and coach Scotty Brooks expects them to rebound (ha) here. Indiana is without Caris LeVert but have Malcolm Brogdon back on the court. Somehow the Pacers keep it close. Take INDIANA! |
05-19-21 | Spurs +4 v. Grizzlies | Top | 96-100 | Push | 0 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
San Antonio at Memphis 7:30 ET Spurs (+) over Grizzlies- San Antonio has staggered to the finish line as they have dropped their last four and 10 of their last 12 straight up and are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs. But, there is a key factor in their favor and that is their road record where they are 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 games away from the Alamo. Memphis is 1-4 ATS in their last five games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games as home favorites. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
05-18-21 | Hornets +3 v. Pacers | Top | 117-144 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
Charlotte at Indiana 6:30 ET Hornets (+) over Pacers- The Hornets have lost five straight after blowing an 11-point fourth quarter lead against Washington Sunday while Indiana posted a road win at Toronto. That was the Pacers 21 win on the road (21-15) whereas they have won just 13 of 36 at home with an ATS record of 13-23 as hosts. That to me is important as the Hornets are 21-7-1 ATS on the road against teams with losing home records. Losers of 15 of their last 21 games overall the Hornets have struggled since Gordon Hayward went down on April 2 and he is not expected to play tonight. The slack with him being sidelined is being picked up by Rookie-of-the-Year candidate La Melo Ball (believe it or not). Take CHARLOTTE! |
05-16-21 | Bucks v. Bulls +3.5 | 112-118 | Win | 100 | 13 h 37 m | Show
Milwaukee at Chicago 9:00 ET Bulls (+) over Bucks- Milwaukee defeated the Heat yesterday and are locked-in to the 3rd seed for the playoffs providing the Nets 13-point favorites handle the lowly Cavaliers. The Bucks are meager favorites here after being favored by at least -8.5 or as high as -12.5 and yet now they are just -3.5. The books I believe are telling us that the Bucks will just be going through the motions. Take CHICAGO! |
05-16-21 | Nuggets v. Blazers -10.5 | Top | 116-132 | Win | 100 | 13 h 33 m | Show |
Denver at Portland 9:00 ET Trailblazers (-) over Nuggets- Portland 'just' needs to win here or see a loss by the Lakers to clinch a coveted top-six position for the playoffs. The Blazers own the tie-breaker edge with L.A. and will be focused for this encounter as they rebound from a 118-117 loss at Phoenix. Denver has won both meetings this season and yet now Portland opened as an 8.5-point favorite and they have not been favored by more than 3.5-points in the last 10 meetings. Take the TRAILBLAZERS! |
05-16-21 | Lakers -10.5 v. Pelicans | 110-98 | Win | 100 | 13 h 31 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at New Orleans 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Pelicans- This is a close to another disappointing season for New Orleans who were looking to get into the playoffs with their young super-star Zion Williamson leading the way. But, alas, the Pelicans have fallen short of their goal once again. The Lakers know what's in front of them and have won their last four with Lebron back in the line-up and they need a win here and a Blazers loss to sneak into the top-6. Take LOS ANEGELS |
05-15-21 | Lakers -6.5 v. Pacers | 122-115 | Win | 100 | 4 h 51 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Indiana 1:00 ET Lakers (-) over Pacers- Now, doesn't this 'line' seem a bit on the high side as the hobbled Lakers have now won their last three without LeBron James as they try and fight their way out of the play-in games. Indiana is locked into the play-in games but would like to get to the 7th or 8th seed where they will only need to win once to advance to the Playoffs. James has been listed as questionable but with or without him the Lakers get it done here. Take LOS ANGELES! |
05-14-21 | Pelicans +2 v. Warriors | Top | 122-125 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 37 m | Show |
New Orleans at Golden State 9:30 ET Pelicans (+) over Warriors- Really now, the Steph Curry led Warriors opened less than a 3-point favorite at home against the Williamson-less Pelicans. This price stands out because of how 'hot' Golden State is having won four straight and six of their last seven games overall while New Orleans has dropped their last two without their 'big stud' but they are still 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall. They are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 5-1 ATS after a SU loss. But, the main factor is that this game means nothing to the Warriors their final game Sunday against Memphis will determine their seeding. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
05-13-21 | Nuggets v. Wolves +6 | Top | 114-103 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 28 m | Show |
Denver at Minnesota 8:00 ET T'wolves (+) over Nuggets- Denver has been winning and winning without leading scorer Jamal Murray and are seeded fourth one-game behind the Clippers. Minnesota has won back-to-back games and six of the last nine and are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings with Denver. The Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 2-6 ATS against teams with losing records. The timberwolves are playing their best ball of the season (now that's it's ending) and are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Take MINNESOTA! |
05-12-21 | Blazers +2.5 v. Jazz | Top | 105-98 | Win | 100 | 12 h 18 m | Show |
Portland at Utah 9:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Jazz- Utah still have a chance for the No. 1 spot in the West with a two-game lead in the loss column over Phoenix with three games remaining. Portland is seeded No. 7 but with wins in 2-of-their-3 final games will move them into the sixth seed. The Blazers have won four straight and eight of nine but have lost both meetings with the Jazz by an average of 19.5 points and are 5-1 ATS in their lat six road games. Utah has been great at home going 31-4 SU and 23-12 ATS but fall short here. Take PORTLAND! |
05-12-21 | Spurs +3.5 v. Nets | 116-128 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 50 m | Show
San Antonio at Brooklyn 8:00 ET Spurs (+) over Nets- Brooklyn will close the season at home with three games remaining and will play their first two playoff games at the Barclay Center where they are 25-8 SU but just 16-17 ATS. San Antonio holds the 10th playoff spot and is trying to hang on to a playoff spot after missing the postseason for the first time in 22 seasons in 2020. The Spurs who are in dire need of a win are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 road games and are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 meetings in Brooklyn and the Nets are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games with no rest. Look for Kyrie Irving to take a DFLP (Don't feel like playing). Take SAN ANTONIO! |
05-12-21 | Wizards v. Hawks -6 | 116-120 | Loss | -112 | 10 h 50 m | Show
NBA Power Play Washington at Atlanta 7:00 ET Hawks (+) over Wizards- Okay, wow! Russell Westbrook has passed Oscar Robertson for career NBA 'Triple-doubles' and like Oscar his teams have no rings (except when Oscar was a role player for the Bucks with Lew Alcindor). Washington has played well since the All-Start break and are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine road games including their 'cover' Monday when Atlanta (-8) won 125-124. The Hawks have won 4-of-5 and are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games as home favorites and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 home games overall. Take ATLANTA! |
05-11-21 | Nets v. Bulls +5 | 115-107 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 58 m | Show
Brooklyn at Chicago 8:00 ET Bulls (+) over Nets- Brooklyn who clinched a playoff spot two weeks ago have been just going through the motions every since as the dropped four-in-a-row before re-grouping at Denver Saturday night. Chicago seemed doomed for post season play after losing four straight by double-digits but have now won three straight games all by double-digits. It's difficult to say who will be in the line-up for the Nets but they are just waiting for the return of James Harden before they will get series. Bulls are playing hot and in greater need! Take CHICAGO! |
05-11-21 | Mavs v. Grizzlies +1.5 | Top | 104-133 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
Dallas at Memphis 8:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Mavericks- Dallas is currently the no. 5 seed in the West and are on a 4-game in streak and have won 10 of their last 12. This has given them a chance to clinch a spot in the top-6 with a combination of two wins or losses by the Lakers. Memphis is seeded ninth and have at least clinched a spot for the 'play-ins' and are playing tough as underdogs going 8-1 ATS in that role the nine times. The Grizzlies are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games and get the cash here. Take MEMPHIS! |
