12-10-22 | Drexel v. La Salle -155 | 65-58 | Loss | -155 | 2 h 8 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units La Salle has the momentum coming into this one. Not only have the Explorers won the last two games in this rivalry by at least eight points, when it comes to this season, they have covered the spread in three of their last four games as a favorite. Drexel has struggled recently, and has failed to cover the spread in four of their last five games as an underdog. I will back La Salle in this one. |

12-09-22 | Washington +16.5 v. Gonzaga | 60-77 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Zags will keep their home streak intact with a win in this game but this is too big a spread for the Zags based on their recent play. They are turning the ball over too much and haven't necessarily been suffocating on the defensive end. Washington should be able to hang close enough in this game thanks to the Zags turnover issues and Washington's efficiency on the defensive end, ranked 55th in the country. Gonzaga has not yet hit their stride and are still trying to find themselves. They have only beaten two opponents by more than 16 points this season. The Huskies will hang in this game enough to cover the point spread. |
12-08-22 | Michigan -190 v. Minnesota | 90-75 | Win | 100 | 7 h 30 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Michigan is a lot better than their No. 47 KenPom ranking would indicate or their 5-3 record for that matter. Their three losses were all against excellent teams, falling at 8-1 Arizona State, losing by a bucket to No. 3 Virginia, and blowing a late lead before losing against No. 16 Kentucky. Minnesota does not yet have a quality win and got their doors blown in by Purdue most recently. They were manhandled by Zach Edey and a much larger, more physical Purdue team. Michigan poses the same type of problem for Minnesota with their dominant big man, Dickinson. I see an easy win for a superior Michigan team. Take the Wolverines to cover. |
12-07-22 | Nebraska v. Indiana -12.5 | 65-81 | Win | 100 | 4 h 50 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Hoosiers have won seven of their last eight games. Even though they were held to their lowest offensive output of the season against Rutgers, they are very good offensively, especially at home where they are scoring more than 85 points per game while making 56 percent of their shots. They have also shot the ball well from the free throw line and they’re very aggressive on the offensive glass, which will give them more scoring opportunities. They also do a good job protecting the ball and won’t give the Cornhuskers a lot of easy scoring opportunities. |
12-06-22 | Iowa +2.5 v. Duke | 62-74 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 5 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Duke has been overvalued in the betting market so far this season, covering the spread just twice in its last six games. Iowa has been undervalued dating back to the end of last year, covering in 11 of its last 15 contests. The Hawkeyes have won six straight games against ACC opponents and have been one of the top offensive teams in college basketball. Duke does not have good shooting numbers, which is going to be tough to correct in a neutral-site venue. |
12-06-22 | Illinois v. Texas -145 | 85-78 | Loss | -145 | 4 h 14 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Longhorns can test their chops in this game away from the friendly confines of the Moody Center in Austin. The key to this game will be the Longhorns' ability to shut down the opposition, particularly from long range. The Illini have shot 48% from the field but have struggled against top-flight competition this season and this is the toughest team they've seen all year. Texas will force turnovers and turn them into transition baskets. The Longhorns are extremely efficient on both ends, 15th on offense and 3rd on defense. Texas will need to force turnovers to take away the Illini's advantage on the glass and keep them from pushing the tempo. Look for Texas to slow down the Illini's ability to run and cause enough turnovers to pull away from the turnover-prone Fighting Illini. |
12-05-22 | Kent State +15 v. Gonzaga | 66-73 | Win | 100 | 7 h 11 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Kent State is exactly the opposite of the type of team that you want to face after a crushing loss. The Golden Flashes are a sneaky-good opponent that are flying under the radar, covering the spread in every game this season. They are one of the most experienced teams in the country, led by a trio of seniors, so they are prepared for this type of game. Kent State gave Houston all it could handle, so I am not worried about the Golden Flashes being overwhelmed. I would be concerned about Gonzaga’s intensity level if I were a Bulldogs’ fan, as they are coming off a crushing loss and will not be motivated by the name on the jersey in this spot. They have been overvalued this year, covering the spread once in their last seven games. |
12-04-22 | Oregon v. UCLA -9.5 | 56-65 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 21 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Oregon has owned UCLA over the last two years, and I’m expecting the Bruins to get revenge today in front of the home fans. At the moment, UCLA looks like a better team than the Ducks, who have struggled to shoot the rock so far this season. I’m looking for the Bruins’ backcourt to make a difference, so keep your eyes on Jaquez, Bailey, and Tyger Campbell, who had eight assists against Stanford. On the other side, the Ducks will try to attack the rim and feed N’Faly Dante and Kel’el Ware in the paint. But without a solid shooting night from deep, I highly doubt their chances to keep it close or upset the Bruins in LA. |
12-02-22 | Wake Forest v. Clemson -150 | 57-77 | Win | 100 | 5 h 5 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I am going to argue that Clemson is undervalued in the betting market right now due to Hall’s injury that caused him to miss some time early in the season. He is not only one of the best players on the team, but he is also among the best players in the conference. His performance earlier this week showed flashes of his vintage self, which does not bode well for Wake Forest on Friday. Clemson also comes into this contest on an eight-game home winning streak, and the Tigers have won nine of the last 10 meetings between these teams. They have also won nine straight at home in this series, making them the clear pick |
11-30-22 | Ohio State +5.5 v. Duke | 72-81 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 17 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Ohio State Buckeyes are the real deal. Their only loss of the season occurred against a ranked San Diego State team. They beat Cincinnati 81-53 and defeated #21 Texas Tech 80-73 on Wednesday. Offensively, the Buckeyes are more efficient than Duke, averaging 115.9 points per 100 possessions, ranking them sixth in DI compared to Duke with 112.3 points. The Buckeyes' defense has also been spectacular. Duke will take a lot of threes, averaging 22.4 three-point attempts per game and the Buckeyes are limiting foes to 26% shooting from deep. Duke has been inconsistent in the offensive end. They only scored 56 points in Sunday's loss and have yet to prove themselves offensively. They are shooting a poor 41.7% and are relying heavily on the defense. |

11-28-22 | Pittsburgh v. Northwestern -7 | 87-58 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 2 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Pitt may have three straight wins coming in but they are facing a Northwestern team that is battle tested in the early going. The Wildcats have beaten Georgetown on the road and took Auburn to the limit before falling a point short in Cancun. While Northwestern does miss the presence of Pete Nance, the fact remains that they have plenty of returning talent, led by Buie and Audige, to keep the Wildcats in games. The major difference we’ve seen between these teams so far is what we’ve seen on the defensive end of the floor. Pitt, while they have been average, has to contend with a Wildcats team that has stifled opposing teams to the tune of 32.1% shooting from the floor, which is second in the nation. Look for Northwestern’s defense, and home-court advantage, to be the difference in this one. |
11-27-22 | North Carolina +1.5 v. Alabama | 101-103 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 24 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Tar Heels had their five-game winning streak snapped by the Pilots in their last game. They will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Crimson Tide, which will give them their sixth win in their last seven games. North Carolina is averaging 79.5 points per game. They scored 65 points in their last game, making 44 percent of their field goals and 16.7 percent of their three-pointers. R.J. Davis led the Tar Heels with 15 points and three rebounds. Armando Bacot finished with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Caleb Love added 12 points and three assists. North Carolina has played well defensively, giving up 70.5 points per game. They gave up 70 points in their last game and will need a similar effort if they want to get the win. |
11-26-22 | East Carolina +4.5 v. Old Dominion | 50-71 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 52 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Pirates enter with a far better as they have won 5 games and only dropped one this year. The Monarchs are 3-3 this year and are coming off a close loss to Davidson this week. Eastern Carolina is led by Javon Small, who is scoring over 20 points per game. East Carolina has shown that they score big with four of their fives wins coming by double figures. The Monarchs have lost two of their three losses by single digits. The scoring ability of the Pirates will keep them in this game and show that they can win on the road. |
11-25-22 | Iowa -7.5 v. Clemson | 74-71 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 32 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Hawkeyes have some of the best offensive stats in college basketball. While they clearly haven't been playing world-beaters so far, what's even more impressive than their record is their execution. Individual performance may vary game-to-game, but a well-coached team that executes well will always put itself in a position to succeed. It's also a game between a great shooting team versus a squad that sucks at defending the three-point line. Iowa is 4-0 ATS this season and Clemson is 1-4. Bet the trend and take Iowa to cover. |
11-24-22 | Connecticut -3 v. Oregon | 83-59 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Huskies have won five straight games. They played well offensively in those games, scoring more than 87 points per game while making over 51 percent of their shots. They do a good job finding the open man and they’re aggressive on the offensive glass, which will give them more scoring opportunities. They have also done a good job protecting the ball and won’t give the Ducks a lot of easy scoring opportunities. |
11-23-22 | Tennessee -6.5 v. Butler | 71-45 | Win | 100 | 6 h 52 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Volunteers are a tough team and they have been sound defensively in the early going. Tennessee will shoot the ball better than we’ve seen so far and it’s tough to have faith in Butler given the fact that they struggled mightily against Penn State. The Volunteers make life extremely difficult for the Bulldogs and that gets them to the semifinals. |
11-22-22 | Bowling Green +16.5 v. Notre Dame | 66-82 | Win | 100 | 6 h 47 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Notre Dame has been favored by double-digits in each game this season but it has yet to cover a spread, all while facing the 312th strongest schedule according to KenPom. The Irish should also win this game outright, but it will be important to Bowling Green what the final score is in this game. For Notre Dame, this is just another game, but playing the Fighting Irish will motivate the Falcons. Bowling Green likes to get up and down the court quickly, rating 55th in adjusted tempo, while Notre Dame is 333rd. With the fast-paced style of play, the Falcons should be able to limit the effectiveness of Irish big man Nate Laszewski at times. Take Bowling Green to cover. |
11-21-22 | Louisville v. Arkansas -15 | 54-80 | Win | 100 | 5 h 59 m | Show
Rating: 2 units The Cardinals were favored to win their first three games, but they lost all three games by one point. Their offense has been their biggest problem so far, with the team scoring less than 70 points per game while making less than 45 percent of their shots. They don’t rebound the ball as well as the Razorbacks and they’re very careless with the ball, which will be a problem against the Razorbacks, who are averaging more than 12 steals per game. They are facing a defense that held its first three opponents under 60 points and will have a hard time scoring against them, so go with Arkansas to cover the spread. |
11-20-22 | Baylor -130 v. UCLA | 80-75 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units With Keyonte George, Adam Flagler and LJ Cryer all leading the way, this is the chance for the Bears to stamp their mark on the season early, and if they can bring their all around game that we saw in their first three performances this year, then there's few teams in college basketball with the capability of slowing them down. |
11-19-22 | Providence v. Miami-FL -130 | 64-74 | Win | 100 | 6 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Providence has used its athleticism to beat down on a few bad teams since its narrow win to open the season, but the Friars are not going to be able to do that this afternoon. They have less height and experience than Miami, so their offensive rebounding numbers are going to dip. Miami also likes to play at a faster pace, which is going to be frustrating for a Providence team that is still trying to get used to several new faces on the roster. Larranaga is going to pick up career win No. 700 on Saturday, as his team will advance to Sunday’s title game. |
11-18-22 | Baylor -190 v. Virginia | 79-86 | Loss | -190 | 8 h 44 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units While it’s only been two games but the Cavaliers are giving ups threes. Last year the three-point defense was exploited. They ranked 240th in three-point defense last season and so far opponents are shooting 36.7% from deep against them, ranking them 283rd. Baylor is a prolific offensive squad that has connected on 51.3% of their field goals. The Bears are averaging 2.1 more points per 100 possessions than the Cavaliers. |
11-17-22 | Nebraska v. St. John's -9.5 | 50-70 | Win | 100 | 7 h 36 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I see St. John's being the better team on both ends of the court. They are currently scoring the 23rd most points per game and they have the 14th-highest team shooting percentage in the country. Nebraska won't be able to consistently stop them, as they will slowly pull away. Nebraska has had a great start to the season, but they aren't as talented as this St. John's team. |
11-16-22 | Gonzaga v. Texas -130 | 74-93 | Win | 100 | 10 h 41 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Texas Longhorns have a chance to avenge last season's opening loss in Gonzaga, 86-74. The Longhorns were welcoming a new coach, Chris Beard, and a new scheme against the #1 ranked team in the country at that time. This season, Texas returns three starters from last season's 22-win team and have a better understanding of Beard's offensive and defensive philosophy. More importantly, Texas will be playing this one in front of a raucous home crowd. The Longhorns have started this season off on the right foot with two-straight home wins. The Texas backcourt has been the story with Marcus Carr and Tyrese Hunter combining for 51 points through the first two games. Texas is coming off of a 50-point win over Houston Christian in which the defense held them to just 31 points. |
11-14-22 | Butler v. Penn State -5.5 | 62-68 | Win | 100 | 5 h 2 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Even though the Bulldogs played well defensively in their first game, they were facing an overmatched team and will have a hard time slowing down the hot-shooting Nittany Lions. The Bulldogs also played well offensively in their first game, but they didn’t shoot the ball well, especially from three-point range where they made less than 20 percent of their shots. They also struggled from the free throw line, making less than 70 percent of their free throws. They rebounded the ball well and will get extra scoring opportunities that will help them keep the score close. They were very careless with the ball and they’re facing a defense that has done a good job forcing turnovers, which will lead to easy scoring opportunities for them. With the Nittany Lions holding their first two opponents under 70 points per game, the Bulldogs will have a hard time keeping up, so go with Penn State to cover the spread. |
11-11-22 | Michigan State v. Gonzaga -11 | 63-64 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 13 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Zags have the advantage of more continuity than the Spartans in this early-season matchup between two of college basketball's top programs. The Spartans will have difficulty containing the Zags highly potent offense even in this game playing in the unusual confines of the USS Abraham Lincoln. The first half against North Florida gave a good indication of how dangerous Gonzaga's offense can be, as the Bulldogs shot 67% from the field overall. Overall, the Zags had 66 points in the paint and Timme should dominate the interior in this matchup as well. Typically, MSU gradually gets better as the year goes along. This is a tough matchup for them in the early going. |
11-10-22 | Towson v. Massachusetts -130 | 67-55 | Loss | -130 | 7 h 49 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Towson played just seven players in their opener and got outrebounded, which is a rare thing for that team under Pat Skerry. UMass has a much bigger team and they are much deeper. This should be a pretty close game early on because I don't expect Timberlake and Holden to go 2-for-17 again. However, UMass offers much more size and Fernandes will have a big game against the Tigers' backcourt, which lacks quickness. Ultimately, the Minutemen will wear down the Tigers in the paint with their size and own the boards. Martin should have UMass contending in the Atlantic 10 very quickly. |
11-08-22 | Rider +13.5 v. Providence | 65-66 | Win | 100 | 2 h 53 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Handicapping a game early in the season is a completely different process than later in the season. Returning experience is much more important in November, as cohesiveness is a huge part of a basketball game. Rider has plenty of that coming into the year, as four of its five starters are back from last year’s team. The Broncs were on fire down the stretch, making a run to the MAAC Tournament semifinals for the first time in a decade. They covered the spread in 13 of their last 18 games, including seven of their final nine road games. Providence is replacing all five of its starters from last year, so Rider is the obvious choice as a large underdog. |
11-07-22 | George Mason v. Auburn -9.5 | 52-70 | Win | 100 | 4 h 0 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units George Mason is undoubtedly improved from last year and has upset some high-quality teams in the past but not teams that play at this fast of a pace. This game will be a true test of English's self-professed commitment to utilize his bench to save his starters. Auburn has more depth, much more size and has already shown that they will once again be among the country's top teams in forcing turnovers after giving even teams with pro players fits. Auburn, under Pearl, isn't in a position to rebuild but simply retool. George Mason will be a better team later in the season but it will take them time to get the new pieces to earn English's trust. This one should be a one-sided Auburn affair. |
04-04-22 | North Carolina v. Kansas -190 | Top | 69-72 | Win | 100 | 9 h 54 m | Show |
Rating: 10 Unit Tournament Game of the Year Jayhawks' focus on shot quality more than volume. They're making 40.6 percent of their 3-pointers in the tournament, and on Saturday they matched Villanova's 13 treys while attempting seven fewer (24 to Villanova's 31). The Tar Heels are shooting 36 percent on 3-pointers. Consider that the Jayhawks are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win, and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite. |
04-02-22 | North Carolina v. Duke -4 | 81-77 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 46 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Duke and Carolina take the court in the Superdome tonight following the first national semifinal between Villanova and Kansas. This is the first time the rivals have met in the Final Four. It's the 258th game between the college basketball behemoths. Krzyzewski has five national titles on his resume. To get a sixth, the Blue Devils need to solve what ailed them in the 13-point home loss on March 5. However, consider that the Tar Heels are 8-18-1 ATS in their last 27 neutral site games as an underdog. |
04-02-22 | Villanova v. Kansas -4 | 65-81 | Win | 100 | 2 h 10 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The Wildcats will be missing a key component when the squads battle on Saturday in New Orleans for a spot in the national championship game. Villanova standout Justin Moore tore his right Achilles in the final minute of the Wildcats' 50-44 win over Houston in the Elite Eight on March 26. Moore underwent surgery, and the Wildcats are dissecting how to best fill his minutes and responsibilities. Backup Caleb Daniels is expected to slide into the starting lineup for the second-seeded Wildcats (30-7). Kansas has received stunningly good play in the NCAA Tournament from Remy Martin. Not once did Martin reach the 20-point mark in the regular season, but he has done so twice during March Madness and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Region after Kansas routed Miami 76-50 in the Elite Eight. Consider that the Wildcats are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game. |
03-29-22 | Washington State v. Texas A&M -125 | 56-72 | Win | 100 | 5 h 2 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Let's grab this dominant Texas A&M squad to advance to the NIT final. They've been playing very strong basketball, winning 10 of their last 11 games and only taking a loss to Tennessee in the SEC tournament. They've also kept opponents under 66 points in all of their last 6 games. I think they will again be able to lean on their defense and keep this Washington State team at bay. |
03-29-22 | St Bonaventure -125 v. Xavier | 77-84 | Loss | -125 | 3 h 34 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units While the Musketeers are familiar with Madison Square Garden -- they lost in the first round of the Big East Tournament there -- the experienced Bonnies will have a decided crowd edge in the NIT semifinals. St. Bonaventure should make it hard for Xavier to score inside; that's where Osun Osunniyi (11.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.9 bpg) contests everything. It will be up to Xavier's Nate Johnson and Adam Kunkel, who are 9 of 38 from 3-point range in the NIT, to carry the load offensively. The Musketeers did an admirable job of getting to the Garden without senior guard Paul Scruggs (torn ACL). But this is a bad matchup for them. Look for Xavier to fall to 1-7 ATS in its last eight games at neutral sites. |
03-27-22 | St. Peter's +8.5 v. North Carolina | 49-69 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 23 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units After Holloway guided tiny Saint Peter's to a championship in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, he became a shooting star in the coaching ranks as the 15th-seeded Peacocks felled Kentucky, Murray State and Purdue in the NCAA Tournament. He is widely expected to be offered the vacant coaching job at his alma mater, Seton Hall, but will not address what he calls "rumors." Saint Peter's defeated Purdue 67-64 Friday in the Sweet 16, using its signature relentless defense to bottle up NBA prospect Jaden Ivey, who finished with just nine points on 4-of-12 shooting with six turnovers. Purdue was rated the most efficient offense in the country by KenPom.com entering the game. |
03-27-22 | Miami-FL v. Kansas -5.5 | 50-76 | Win | 100 | 5 h 38 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Kansas (31-6) hounded fourth-seeded Providence into 33.8 percent shooting en route to Friday's 66-61 semifinal victory, including a 4-for-23 effort from 3-point range. Although the Jayhawks shot just 39.3 percent from the floor, they prevailed behind disciplined defense and were plus-five in the rebounding column. Offensively, resurgent point guard Remy Martin had a game-high 23 points to lead the Jayhawks in scoring for the third time in as many NCAA Tournament games while Jalen Wilson contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ochai Agbaji, a Naismith Player of the Year finalist, had five points on 2-for-8 shooting, by far his lowest output of the tournament, but Jayhawks coach Bill Self indicated the team isn't panicking. Agbaji had four blocks, four boards and two steals while helping to steady the defense. |
03-26-22 | Arkansas +4 v. Duke | 69-78 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 19 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Arkansas has won 18 of its last 21 games and has been successful by pushing the pace, helping seven of its last nine get Over the total. The Razorbacks covered the spread in 21 games and also went Over the total in 21 games this season. They also have covered their last five games as an underdog. Duke likes to play fast as well and has gone Over the number in eight of its last nine. I’m betting that this will be the last game of Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski's amazing career, but I don't like the price on the Arkansas money line so I just took the points with the Razorbacks (+4). In addition playing on any NCAA tournament team in the Elite 8 round if they upset a #1 seed as an underdog in the Sweet 16 round is a perfect 14-0 ATS since 1996. |
03-26-22 | Houston -145 v. Villanova | 44-50 | Loss | -145 | 5 h 37 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The greatness of Houston has been undervalued all season by oddsmakers. The spreads have been too low, which helped the Cougars go 25-12 against-the-spread. The selection committee also looked down on them, making them a No. 5 seed. The Houston defense posted better numbers this season than last year and again led the country in field goal percentage defense (37.4). It’s that defensive intensity that has carried the Cougars to wins and covers in all six of their postseason games. Houston is still cheap and should get the cover, but laying only -134 on the moneyline is better value than the spread. I also have a small lean on Under 128 total points. |
03-25-22 | Iowa State v. Miami-FL -143 | 56-70 | Win | 100 | 49 h 17 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Miami, making its first NCAA appearance in four years, has never advanced beyond the Sweet 16, and like the Cyclones, the Hurricanes thrive behind their guards. Kameron McGusty (17.5 points a game), Isaiah Wong (15.5), Charlie Moore (12.8) and Jordan Miller (10.1) average double-figure scoring for Miami, playing at least 30 minutes per game. Miami (25-10) coughed up a late lead Friday in its first-round game against seventh-seeded USC before winning by a basket. Two days later, the Hurricanes trounced No. 2 seed Auburn 79-61, using their quickness and experience to overcome a minus-8 rebounding margin. Wong scored 21 points and McGusty, a sixth-year senior, added 20 while helping Miami force 13 turnovers and hound the Tigers into 30.4 percent shooting, including 19.2 percent from long range. |
03-25-22 | North Carolina +2.5 v. UCLA | 73-66 | Win | 100 | 49 h 3 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The Tar Heels broke out and won their final five regular-season games, including their long-discussed upset of Duke in Mike Krzyzewski's last home game before retirement. Still, perhaps because ACC basketball had a down year by its standards, North Carolina flew under the radar and entered the NCAA Tournament as an No. 8 seed. First-year Carolina coach Hubert Davis has a theory. North Carolina owns a 10-3 all-time record against UCLA, including the past five meetings. |

03-25-22 | Providence v. Kansas -7.5 | 61-66 | Loss | -109 | 47 h 36 m | Show
Rating; 5 Units Kansas (30-6) gets fourth-seeded Providence (27-5), which has won 16 games by single digits, including 11 by five or fewer points. Kansas ultimately pulled away from ninth-seeded Creighton, 79-72, to reach the 32nd Sweet 16 in program history. Credit the latest resurgent performance by point guard Remy Martin. A transfer from Arizona State, Martin worked through knee soreness and inconsistency during the regular season before sparkling down the stretch. He scored 20 points against Creighton after a 15-point effort in the Jayhawks' tournament-opening rout of Texas Southern, the first two times Martin led the team in scoring this season. |

03-25-22 | St. Peter's +12.5 v. Purdue | 67-64 | Win | 100 | 46 h 19 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units No matter where you are on the court, beware: KC Ndefo is coming to block your shot. The Saint Peter's forward tallied six blocks in the No. 15 seed's second-round NCAA Tournament win over Murray State. The highlight came in the second half, when he chased down Trae Hannibal and swatted away his fast-break dunk attempt. Ndefo embodies the defensive intensity Saint Peter's (21-11) has used to pull off two stunners and advance in the East Region to the Sweet 16, where they'll play No. 3 seed Purdue Friday in Philadelphia, Pa. |
03-24-22 | Houston +1.5 v. Arizona | 72-60 | Win | 100 | 25 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The Cougars (31-5), perhaps still a little peeved about being given just a 5 seed by the NCAA selection committee, look to take their next step to a repeat spot in the Final Four. Houston did almost everything correctly Sunday in a 68-53 win over fourth-seeded Illinois as Taze Moore scored 21, Jamal Shead 18, and Kyler Edwards 15 points. Cougars coach Kelvin Sampson was so pumped up after the win that he pulled off his shirt during the team's locker room celebration. Houston has won five straight games and 11 of its past 12, advancing to the Sweet 16 for the third straight season. Arizona is making its first Sweet 16 appearance in six years. |
03-24-22 | Texas Tech v. Duke +1.5 | 73-78 | Win | 100 | 25 h 16 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units After allowing an average of 57.5 points in its two NCAA wins, Texas Tech will need another stellar showing against Duke, which defeated Cal State Fullerton and Michigan State to reach this stage. Freshman star Paolo Banchero had 19 points and seven rebounds in the win over Michigan State. Mark Williams added 15 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots. illiams, who has 104 blocks on the season, is the first player in Duke history to have five rejections in back-to-back NCAA tourney games. He also had five against Cal State Fullerton. The Blue Devils average 80.3 points per game on the season. Duke won the lone previous meeting, 69-58 on Dec. 20, 2018, at New York's Madison Square Garden. |
03-24-22 | Michigan +5.5 v. Villanova | 55-63 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 47 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Michigan was in dire straits toward the end of the Big Ten campaign, losing four of its final eight regular-season games and then bowing out to Indiana in the first round of the conference tournament. The Wolverines also had a stretch of games that were affected by COVID-19, played multiple games without Dickinson, and were without suspended coach Juwan Howard for five contests. But when it has counted the most, Michigan has come together. |
03-24-22 | Arkansas +9.5 v. Gonzaga | 74-68 | Win | 100 | 23 h 30 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Top-seeded Gonzaga was tested more than expected in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament while reaching the Sweet 16 for the seventh straight time. Now the Bulldogs will attempt to play two strong halves when they face fourth-seeded Arkansas on Thursday night in the West Regional semifinals at San Francisco. The Razorbacks (27-8) will run a slew of athletic players against the Bulldogs (28-3) as they attempt to reach the Elite Eight for the second straight season. Arkansas lost to eventual national champion Baylor last season. |
03-23-22 | NC-Wilmington v. Middle Tennessee -5 | 96-90 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 6 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Consider that the Blue Raiders are 16-4-1 ATS in their last 21 games as a favorite, 23-6-2 ATS in their last 31 games overall, 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games following a straight up win, and 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS win. |
03-20-22 | TCU +9.5 v. Arizona | 80-85 | Win | 100 | 11 h 47 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Lloyd also knew before Friday that despite losses in 7 of 11 entering the Dance, TCU could rise to the occasion, having knocked off both Kansas and Texas Tech late in the season, and that Jamie Dixon's troops will crash the offensive glass after ranking ninth in offensive rebounds, and controlling the boards overall by a 39-26 count against the Hall. While this is recently uncharted territory for the Frogs, who haven't reached the second round since 1987 in Jim Killlingsworth's final year before retiring, they have covered 12 of their last 16 as a dog, and can likely stay within earshot as long as they produce an effort something like Friday when hitting better than 50% from the floor, and G Mike Miles looking in charge of proceedings with 21 points, This might not be easy for the Cats! |
03-20-22 | Miami-FL +7.5 v. Auburn | 79-61 | Win | 100 | 9 h 11 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units While consensus opinion seems to be that the Canes are in trouble against Auburn, we remind again how the ACC has proven Joe Lunardi and many in the pundit class very wrong by flourishing thus far in the Dance (6-1 SU after North Carolina’s win over Baylor on Sunday), and there is still evidence that the Tigers peaked in late January when briefly moving to the top of the polls, with several flat efforts since and unable to shut the door on A-Sun Jax State until the final minutes on Friday. While they ooh and ahh on Sports Center about frosh star Jabari Smith’s slam-dunk in the final minutes (plus his 20 points vs. the Gamecocks), keep in mind that Auburn is still just 6-4 SU across its last ten games, and not just failing to cover several of those but losing outright. |
03-20-22 | Troy State v. Abilene Christian -4.5 | 70-82 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Consider that the Trojans are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games as an underdog, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. While the Wildcats are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games as a favorite, 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite, 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600, and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 neutral site games. |
03-20-22 | Iowa State v. Wisconsin -4 | 54-49 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 6 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units As the Big Ten’s answer to Providence, the Badgers excelled in the close call, now 16-3 SU in games decided by seven points or fewer after finally subduing a scrappy Colgate on Friday, and star G Johnny Davis apparently beyond his late-season ankle injury with 25 points. This is not your typical Wisconsin, however, as Greg Gard has dialed up the pace to take advantage of his flamethrowers like Davis (19.8 ppg), G Brad Davison (14.1 ppg), and 6-9 Tyler Wahl (11.5 ppg), and the Badgers do not boast of great depth, which might be one of the reasons they have lacked the KO power of the past. Oddsmakers, however, are not asking Wiscy to clear much of a hurdle here, and the Cyclones have hardly looked like Gonzaga in recent weeks as the offense continues to lurch. Davis likely proves the difference as he often has this season as the Badgers eventually gain control. Note the last nine ISU losses have featured margins all greater than the mostly 5-point spreads we are seeing for this one in Milwaukee. |
03-20-22 | Houston v. Illinois +4 | 68-53 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 9 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Illinois gets another life and now it's Houston that has to deal with NBA-bound 7-1 Kofi Cockburn, who commands a lot of attention on the blocks and the sort of beastly presence that the Cougs rarely had to deal with this season in the American. Kelvin Sampson overcame pre-New Year's injuries to key Gs Marcus Sasser (who was the leading scorer at 19 ppg when going down) & Tramon Mark with a lineup that still retained plenty of balance and featured Texas Tech transfer Kyler Edwards (14 ppg) as a new go-to threat. The Illini, however, can accelerate tempo with Gs Alphonso Plummer (14.8 p[pg; his triples ignited what was a stagnant offense on Friday vs. the Mocs) & Trent Frazier (12 ppg), while livewire Andre Curbelo provides the spark. And while the Illini haven't covered a lot of games lately (2-7 last nine vs. spread), they haven't been a dog in over a month, either, and only lost 2 of those 9 outright. |
03-20-22 | NC-Wilmington v. VMI +2 | 93-78 | Loss | -111 | 1 h 49 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Consider that the Seahawks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up loss and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a ATS loss. While the Keydets are 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games overall, 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, and 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. |
03-19-22 | Northern Iowa +6 v. BYU | 71-90 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Once again the Panthers’ big three of Gs A.J. Green (21 points) & Trae Berhow (18 points) plus F Noah Carter (19 points0 led a three-pronged attack vs. the Billikens, with Green continuing a sensational late-season run by scoring 20 or more points in seven of the past nine UNI games. UNI has also covered 7 of its last 9 as a dog, and prior to the win over the Beach, BYU had dropped 5 of its previous 6 vs. the line at the Marriott Center. And, as noted earlier, the Cougs are well off of their offensive numbers from recent years. |
03-19-22 | Rice v. Ohio -5.5 | 64-65 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 52 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Consider that the Owls are 7-19-2 ATS in their last 28 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games as an underdog, and 4-15-2 ATS in their last 21 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. While the Bobcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games as a favorite and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games. |
03-19-22 | St. Mary's +3 v. UCLA | 56-72 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The Gaels were a lot more impressive in their first round victory over Indiana than UCLA was in their come from behind win over Akron. The Gaels were just one of three teams to beat the #1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs this season. The Gaels are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games as a favorite. St. Mary's shot over 51 percent from the field and over 47 percent from three-point range in their first round win. The Bruins scored just 57 point on 35.2 percent shooting against Akron. They will need to be a lot better if they want to survive the next round. |
03-19-22 | Richmond +3 v. Providence | 51-79 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 9 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Despite Providence's gaudy record, the quality of the Friars' Big East regular-season title has been questioned for good reason. The Friars had three games canceled because of a COVID pause in January and won the title despite playing three fewer conference games than a Villanova team that swept them during the regular season. All three of those un played games would have been against NCAA Tournament teams. Then again, one could say the Friars again are fortunate to avoid a potentially tougher opponent after Richmond led for the last 14 minutes in its 67-63 upset Thursday of fifth-seeded Iowa (26-10), which won the Big Ten tournament on Sunday. Richmond earned its way into the NCAA Tournament by winning the Atlantic-10 tournament and an automatic bid before capturing its first NCAA victory since the 2010-11 team beat Vanderbilt and Morehead State to reach the Sweet 16. |
03-19-22 | VCU +5.5 v. Wake Forest | 74-80 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 26 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Rams offense has caught fire at the right time, making good on 29, 27, 25, 25 and 36 field goals over their last five contests. Wake Forest actually got a bit of a run from Towson State in its NIT opener, making only 24 field goals in a 74-64 victory. The Demon Deacons certainly won't be mistaken for an elite defensive team, noting that they've given up 29, 31, 25, 26 and 23 made field goals over their last five games. While Wake is used to getting up into the 60's as far as field goal attempts go, I suspect we'll see the Rams do a good job of containing it here, ultimately staying inside the point spread. |
03-19-22 | North Carolina +5.5 v. Baylor | 93-86 | Win | 100 | 2 h 13 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Baylor needs no introduction at this time of the year as defending national champs, and tuned up with a romp on Thursday, but Norfolk State is not North Carolina, and we wonder if this is where Scott Drew might miss top rebounder Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua (knee) to battle the rampaging Bacot. Remember, the Bears covered only 4 of their last 12 games in the Big 12 before facing Norfolk, and the current version of the Heels appears as menacing as anything else Baylor has seen this season. |
03-18-22 | TCU +1 v. Seton Hall | 69-42 | Win | 100 | 35 h 17 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units TCU head coach Jamie Dixon has led the Horned Frogs to their second successive NCAA tourney. Including his stay at Pitt, he’s now guided 13 teams to the Big Dance in 19 years at the helm. His counterpart, Kevin Willard, has struggled when dancing (1-4 SU) |
03-18-22 | UAB v. Houston -8 | 68-82 | Win | 100 | 12 h 7 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Cougs are an awfully dangerous No. 5 seed and will look to win a game in the NCAA’s for the fourth straight tournament by clamping down on Blazers star guard Jordan “Jelly” Walker, a gunner who is capable of putting UAB on his back and probably has to do just that here in order to pull the upset. Walker will have Houston’s full attention and didn’t see many defenses as intense as this one outside in their league outside of regular-season champ North Texas. Unless Quan Jackson or Michael Ertel step up with a big game to take some of the load off Walker, we’re unlikely to see an upset here. |
03-18-22 | Iowa State +4.5 v. LSU | 59-54 | Win | 100 | 33 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units ISU finished the season on a 3-game slide, culminating in a 31-point beatdown at Ames against Texas Tech, but the Clones’ 6-2-1 ATS mark in this tourney when coming off a loss seals the deal here. Considering the troubled Tigers are just 4-9 ATS as NCAA tourney chalk, including 1-8 ATS versus sub .800 opponents, we can’t touch these Bengals with a 10-foot pole. |
03-18-22 | Virginia Tech +1.5 v. Texas | 73-81 | Loss | -115 | 30 h 2 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The Longhorns are 0-10 ATS in their last ten NCAA games as well as 5-10 in QUAD-1 games this season. Consider as well that the Hokies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games and 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |
03-18-22 | Montana State +15 v. Texas Tech | 62-97 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 7 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Bobcats might be a bit better prepared to deal with Big 12 physicality than most Sky reps, and Belo could perhaps do some business vs. a Red Raiders lineup minus a true big man, with transfers 6-8 Bryson Williams (ex-Fresno & UTEP) & 6-8 Kevin Obanor (ex-ORU) deployed more as wings. That does create a real size edge on the perimeter for the Red Raiders, and will put enormous pressure on MSU’s 5-8 waterbug G Xavier Bishop (14 ppg), the former Kansas City Kangaroos transfer who has put a charge into the Bobcats’ offense the past two years. But if MSU can hit some 3s (which it did fairly consistently at 37% this season), and Belo avoids foul trouble, it looks like it can hang within this mid-teens price, as the Red Raiders were not especially dynamic offensively (and only 31% beyond the arc) for first-year HC Mark Adams, and hit the Dance dropping five of their last six vs. the line. As the Bobcats play at a more-controlled pace than most Big Sky reps this season, we doubt they lose contact in San Diego. |
03-18-22 | Loyola-Chicago v. Ohio State +1 | 41-54 | Win | 100 | 26 h 45 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Ohio State was ranked No. 17 in the early AP preseason poll, yet fell a game short of the 20-win plateau. They were 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS in games off a loss this season, including 6-0 SUATS against .590 or greater foes. Better yet, the Buckeyes are 3-0 SUATS all-time against Missouri Valley opposition by an average win margin of more than 27 PPG. |
03-17-22 | San Francisco v. Murray State -2 | 87-92 | Win | 100 | 13 h 22 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Seventh-seeded Murray State (30-2) hasn't lost since a 71-58 defeat Dec. 22 at Auburn, which won the Southeastern Conference regular-season title and spent a fair chunk of conference play as the No. 1 team in the country. The Racers carry a 20-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament. Murray State did have to survive some close calls in the Ohio Valley Conference. Morehead State pushed the Racers to the limit twice, including a 71-67 nail-biter in the OVC tourney title game on March 5. Tennessee-Martin and Southeast Missouri State each delivered inspired efforts at home before taking two-point losses against the Racers. Murray State has answered every challenge, thanks to the trio of KJ Williams, Tevin Brown and Justice Hill. Williams averages team highs of 18.2 points and 8.6 rebounds, and he poured in 39 in a Feb. 10 win at Tennessee State. |
03-17-22 | Akron v. UCLA -13.5 | 53-57 | Loss | -106 | 11 h 24 m | Show
Rating: 4 Units Akron will make their second NCAA appearance since 2013, after beating a Kent State squad that had three players suspended for the first half in the MAC title game. The Zips are led by Ali Ali (14.2 PPG), but like most MAC teams in the tourney (6-18 last 24 contests) they don’t figure to be around long. Consider that Head coach Mick Cronin is riding a 6-0 ATS win skein in this tourney (all last season) and is 6-1 SUATS versus No. 11 or worse seeds. |
03-17-22 | Vermont +5.5 v. Arkansas | 71-75 | Win | 100 | 13 h 56 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Arkansas doesn't enter in top form, as it has lost two of its last three, including an 82-64 thrashing to Texas A&M in the SEC tournament semifinals as the Razorbacks hit just 3 of 18 shots from beyond the arc and committed 15 turnovers. By contrast, Vermont enters on an upswing. The Catamounts' 82-43 romp over UMBC in the America East championship game was the largest margin in a Division I conference title game since 1989. The Catamounts, who have won 22 of their last 23, are no strangers to the tournament. This will be their eighth NCAA appearance since 2002-03 and fourth under coach John Becker in his 11 seasons. |
03-17-22 | Creighton +2.5 v. San Diego State | 72-69 | Win | 100 | 11 h 31 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Consider that the Bluejays are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall, |
03-17-22 | Memphis v. Boise State +3 | 64-53 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 56 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The Broncos set a school record for victories and have won 24 of their past 27 games. They were the Mountain West regular season and conference tournament champions. Playing on Sunday and then having their flight delayed for five hours cut into Memphis' preparation time. Not to mention boarding a plane Tuesday afternoon for a long flight to the Pacific Northwest and then playing one of the first games today. Consider as well that the Broncos are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog. |
03-17-22 | South Dakota State +2.5 v. Providence | 57-66 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 17 m | Show
Rating: 5 Unit The five returning starter Jackrabbits average 86.7 PPG (second only to Gonzaga) and have won 21 games in a row. They feature three players averaging double-digits as well as 6 players nailing at least 40% of their 3-point attempts (highest rated team in the nation in 3-point FG Percentage at 44.9%). Head coach Eric Henderson is 67-21 in three seasons with SDSU, and is about to make the next climb up on the college basketball coaches’ ladder. Finally, consider that Providence is 1-8 SUATS in its last nine NCAA Tournament games, as well as 0-6 ATS as a favorite in this tourney. |
03-16-22 | Notre Dame v. Rutgers +1.5 | 89-87 | Loss | -110 | 32 h 5 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Consider that the Fighting Irish are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 Wednesday games, 2-8 ATS in their last 10 NCAA Tournament games as a favorite, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 NCAA Tournament games. While the Scarlet Knights are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games, and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. |
03-16-22 | Bryant +3.5 v. Wright State | 82-93 | Loss | -105 | 29 h 4 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Wright State (21-13) will be making its fourth NCAA appearance. The Raiders are winless in three previous trips, with the latest being a 73-47 first-round loss to Tennessee as a No. 14 seed in 2018. On the other side, Bryant made the Division I bracket for the first time ever. The last time Bryant played in an NCAA Tournament was when it was a Division II program in 2008. The Bulldogs (22-9) are coming off a 70-43 rout of Wagner in the Northeast Conference title game and have won 16 of their last 17 games. |
03-15-22 | Indiana -3.5 v. Wyoming | 66-58 | Win | 100 | 8 h 9 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Indiana made a late push to secure a big by pulling of back to back wins over Michigan and Illinois in the Big Ten tournament before falling to eventual Big Ten tourney champion Iowa 80-77 on a last-second shot by Jordan Bohannon. Trayce Jackson-Davis, who was named to the All-Big Ten tournament team, fueled Indiana's tournament run by averaging 25.3 points and 8.7 rebounds over the three games. Additionally, consider that the Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss. |
03-15-22 | Texas A&M Corpus Christi +4 v. Texas Southern | 67-76 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 33 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Consider that the Islanders are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win, 4-1 ATS in the third game of a 3-in-5 days situation, and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games as an underdog. While the Tigers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. |
03-13-22 | Iowa +2.5 v. Purdue | 75-66 | Win | 100 | 5 h 56 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Consider that the Hawkeyes are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 Sunday games, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss, and 16-7-2 ATS in their last 25 neutral site games. While the are 1-8-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall, 1-8-2 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite, and 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. |
03-13-22 | Memphis +3.5 v. Houston | 53-71 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 44 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units No. 18 Houston has blasted through its first two games at the American Athletic Conference tournament despite dealing with fouls and injuries. The Cougars will have to be at their best when they take on Memphis in the championship final on Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas. Consider that the Tigers are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games overall, 23-9-1 ATS in their last 33 games following a straight up win, and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games following a ATS win. To cap it off, the underdog is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. |
03-13-22 | Texas A&M +6.5 v. Tennessee | 50-65 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 33 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The final day of that grind for Texas A&M will be a matchup against a more rested Tennessee squad. The Volunteers had a double-bye to the quarterfinals, starting their weekend with a comfortable 72-59 win over Mississippi State on Friday. That set up a semifinal showdown against rival Kentucky, and the Volunteers used a huge defensive performance to prevail. Tennessee won 69-62, limiting the Wildcats to 2-of-20 shooting from 3-point range and 18 points below their season average in points per game. Kennedy Chandler led the Volunteers with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting. Volunteers will need quality possessions again on Sunday against the Aggies, who have silenced the doubters this week. In addition, the underdog is 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. |
03-12-22 | UCLA +1.5 v. Arizona | 76-84 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 39 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units The second-seeded Bruins (25-6) have not played in the Pac-12 final since beating Arizona in 2014, but they'll head into this clash having won five straight games and eight of nine, including 69-59 over No. 21 Southern Cal, the No. 3 seed, in Friday's semifinals. The game will match the Pac-12's top offense against a UCLA team that led the conference in scoring defense. The Bruins held Arizona to a season-low 59 points at home and haven't allowed more than 68 points in the last 10 games. Consider as well that the Bruins are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. |
03-12-22 | Texas Tech v. Kansas -145 | Top | 65-74 | Win | 100 | 7 h 44 m | Show |
Rating: 8 Unit Big-12 Tournament Game of the Week Texas Tech survived a scare against Oklahoma in the semifinals on Friday, pulling out a 56-55 victory. Earlier Friday, Kansas cruised past TCU 75-62. The Red Raiders and Jayhawks split the regular-season series, with each team winning at home. Texas Tech prevailed 75-67 in Lubbock on Jan. 8, while Kansas' 94-91 double-overtime victory in Lawrence on Jan. 24 was one of the best games of the Big 12 season. The rubber match will be for the conference's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament, though both teams seemingly are locks for top-four seeds. Consider that the Red Raiders are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. |

03-12-22 | Kentucky v. Tennessee +2.5 | 62-69 | Win | 100 | 4 h 24 m | Show

Now No. 5 Kentucky (26-6) and No. 9 Tennessee (24-7) will meet in the semifinals of the SEC tournament on Saturday afternoon in Tampa. 03-11-22 | Colorado +10 v. Arizona | 72-82 | Push | 0 | 10 h 25 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Colorado defeated No. 2 Arizona for one of the biggest victories in school history. And 13 days later, the Buffaloes need to beat the Wildcats again to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. The two schools meet Friday night in the semifinals of the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas. Fourth-seeded Colorado (21-10) easily beat Arizona 79-63 on Feb. 24 at home in Boulder. It was a milestone victory that matched the school mark for highest-ranked opponent beaten. Colorado also beat No. 2 Oklahoma State on Feb. 12, 1992. Top-seeded Arizona (29-3) thumped Colorado 76-55 at home in Tucson on Jan. 13, but it was the recent game that was alarming when it came to the Wildcats. Arizona again struggled in Thursday's quarterfinals before holding off ninth-seeded Stanford 84-80 to advance. |

Rating: 5 Units Creighton will chase a third victory over Marquette this season when the two meet in the Big East tournament quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon in New York. The Bluejays (20-10) got the best of a competitive two-game regular-season series, earning a 75-69 double-overtime win on the road Jan. 1 before securing a narrow 83-82 victory at home on Feb. 20. |

03-10-22 | TCU +5.5 v. Texas | 65-60 | Win | 100 | 2 h 49 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Texas has dropped two straight games and three of its past five, but each of those defeats were to teams ranked 11th or better at the time. Eight of the Longhorns' defeats this year were to ranked teams. Consider however, that the Horned Frogs are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 neutral site games as an underdog. |
03-10-22 | Butler +7.5 v. Providence | 61-65 | Win | 100 | 1 h 22 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Critics called No. 11 Providence fortunate to win the Big East regular-season title despite being swept by perennial conference powerhouse Villanova, which had two more victories in league play. The top-seeded Friars (24-4) will face another team that knows something about good fortune when they play ninth-seeded Butler (14-18) in a Big East tournament quarterfinal on Thursday in New York. Butler, which came to New York on a five-game losing streak, upended Xavier 89-82 in overtime on Wednesday. The result was big considering that the Musketeers had swept the Bulldogs during the regular season and were fighting for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid. |
03-10-22 | Indiana v. Michigan -3 | 74-69 | Loss | -105 | 1 h 0 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units Both the Wolverines and Hoosiers enter postseason play on the bubble. Michigan (17-13) likely needs one more win to secure an at-large berth. Indiana (18-12) may need to go on a deeper run in its home state to make its first NCAA trip since 2016. Michigan will be bolstered by the return of coach Juwan Howard, who was suspended for the final five games of the regular season. He was involved in an altercation in the handshake line following a loss against Wisconsin in which he threw an open-handed punch at Badgers assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft. Michigan went 3-2 to close the regular season under interim coach Phil Martelli and is coming off a 75-69 win at No. 23 Ohio State on Sunday |

The Tigers (11-20) defeated the Rebels (13-18) on the road 78-53 on Jan. 18, then 74-68 at home on Feb. 12. Amari Davis led Missouri with 36 points in the two victories and Kobe Brown scored 28. |||||||
03-09-22 | Stanford v. Arizona State -185 | 71-70 | Loss | -185 | 5 h 7 m | Show
Rating: 5 Units These two teams are certainly trending in opposite directions. The Sun Devils won seven of their final eight games of the regular season, while the Cardinal lost seven of their final eight games. Stanford has really struggled offensively, averaging just 54.6 points per game in their last five overall. Stanford finished dead last in the PAC12 in scoring, and also dead last with a free throw percentage of 65.4. That doesn't bode well ahead of the conference tournament. |
03-09-22 | Syracuse +1.5 v. Florida State | 96-57 | Win | 100 | 2 h 9 m | Show
Rating 5 Units Jim Boeheim has never had a losing season in his 4 1/2 decades as Syracuse head coach, but that streak will end if the Orange fall to Florida State in the second round of the ACC tournament on Wednesday in Brooklyn, N.Y. Boeheim, the second-winningest coach in Division I history, is wrapping up his 46th season on the Syracuse sideline. The ninth-seeded Orange (15-16) have lost four games in a row and will need to defeat the Seminoles and then conquer top-seeded Duke on Thursday in the quarterfinals to move above .500. No. 8 seed Florida State (17-13) closed its regular season by winning three straight to enter the ACC tournament with a bit of momentum. The Seminoles likely will need to win the conference tourney in order to make their fifth straight NCAA Tournament. Consider that the Seminoles are 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite. |
03-08-22 | St. Mary's v. Gonzaga -12.5 | 69-82 | Win | 100 | 11 h 6 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units A team ranked No. 1 in the nation typically isn't looking for revenge. However, that certainly will be the case on Tuesday when top-ranked Gonzaga squares off with No. 17 Saint Mary's in the West Coast Conference tournament title game at Las Vegas. The teams split two regular-season meetings, including the Gaels' epic 67-57 takedown of the visiting Bulldogs on Feb. 26. Gonzaga won the first meeting 74-58 at home on Feb. 12. Safe to say this tourney has been a chalk lovers’ haven, with favorites going 91-70-6 ATS overall. When any of these favorites is looking to avenge a same-season loss, they zoom to 12-1 SUATS. In addition, the Gaels, are just 5-10-2 ATS in their last seventeen games in this tournament, as well as 1-11 SUATS when taking 6 or more points in this event. |
