11-03-18 | Nebraska +19 v. Ohio State | 31-36 | Win | 100 | 42 h 3 m | Show
Nebraska at Ohio State 12:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Buckeyes- First impression upon gazing at this matchup is that the Buckeyes coming off their first loss of the season will bounce-back with a big effort after getting routed 49-20 by Purdue where many say they gave up. Having two weeks to dwell on such a humiliating loss may not be such a good thing. Now, the Cornhuskers who started 0-6 (worse in school history) have won their last two against Minnesota and powerhouse Bethune-Cookman. Nebraska coach Scott Frost is excited about the play of his young squad led by a true freshman quarterback and said their confidence is getting stronger. They should be able to keep this one close with offense. Take CORNHUSKERS! (PS- Get Chip's Big-Ten GOY (6-0) winner Penn St/Mich) |
11-02-18 | Pittsburgh v. Virginia -7 | 23-13 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 43 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Virginia 7:30 ET Cavaliers over Panthers- After one winning season in the last 10 years #22 Virginia will be bowling this time around as they are ranked in the Top-25 for the first time since 2011. What surprises me here is that the Cavaliers are such a heavy favorite in a vital ACC matchup as both of these two clubs control their own destiny for Coastal Division title. Pittsburgh has won 31-14 in their last meeting and has won three straight in the series but that streak ends here. Take VIRGINIA! |
10-27-18 | Texas v. Oklahoma State +3.5 | Top | 35-38 | Win | 100 | 52 h 19 m | Show |
Texas at Oklahoma State 8:00 ET Cowboys (+) over Longhorns- Listen if the Cowboys weren't able to control Longhorns we would all be vegetarian streak including a win over Oklahoma 48-45. Oklahoma State has a high powered offense that averages nearly 40-points per contest and they have had two weeks as well to pine off their beating at Kansas State (maybe a look-ahead). The Longhorns needed the two weeks for QB Sam Ehlinger to return from a sprained passing shoulder. Texas has the series edge 24-8 but the Cowboys have won six of the past eight and tonight makes another WIN! Take OKLAHOMA STATE! |
10-27-18 | Washington v. California +12 | 10-12 | Win | 100 | 25 h 6 m | Show
Washington at California 6:30 ET Golden Bears (+) over Huskies- Despite their overtime loss to Oregon two weeks ago Washington (6-2, 4-1 Pac-12) is in the driver seat for the conference championship. Most people speak of the Huskies fine defense but believe it or not the Bears are allowing less yards per rush. Their all-time leading rusher Myles Gaskin is not expected to play Jake Browning has not been able to pick us the slack. Cal has decided on their quarterback and it's redshirt freshman Chase Garbers off his 234 yard performance last week. The Bears have lost three straight at home including a 37-7 beating at the hands of UCLA on Homecoming and look to atone for the home folks. Take CALIFORNIA! |
10-27-18 | Kentucky v. Missouri -7 | 15-14 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 14 m | Show
Kentucky at Missouri 4:00 ET Tigers (-) over Wildcats- Now, let me get this straight Kentucky is Ranked No. 14 are 6-1 SU, 4-1 SEC and they have the No. 2 scoring defense allowing just 12.9 points per contest. Yet, the Wildcats opened a 7-point underdog against a 4-3 0-3 SEC Missouri club that is 2-3 ATS in the last five. Kentucky who started 5-0 has shown kinks in their armor their last two outings rushing for just 70 yards against Texas A&M and passing for only 18 yards last weeks against Vanderbilt. This 'price' is ridiculous...lay it. Take MISSOURI! |
10-27-18 | Iowa v. Penn State -5 | 24-30 | Win | 100 | 22 h 36 m | Show
Iowa at Penn State 3:30 ET Nittany Lions (-) over Hawkeyes- Iowa comes into Beaver Stadium winners of three straight including a shutout (23-0) win over 'powerhouse' Maryland and a 42-16 win over Indiana. The Hawkeyes are 6-1 and have the better record and yet are a virtual touchdown underdog. The Lions have under-achieved to date even with Trace McSorley setting all kinds of school offensive records. My gut is that it is going to be Penn State's day, the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take PENN STATE! |
10-27-18 | Clemson v. Florida State +17 | 59-10 | Loss | -105 | 46 h 41 m | Show
Clemson at Florida State 12:00 ET Seminoles (+) over Tigers- What more can I say...Clemson comes through as 'our' ACC GOY and CRUSHES NC State 41-7 raising 'my' GOY record to 5-0 100% (Don't miss the next one). Now, with the pressure off they invade a slow starting but improving Florida State club that carries a lot of pride entering this fray. You see the Seminoles were humbled on Nation al TV early-on (LSU $$$-Game winner) and then agains this time the catch the Tigers without their claws. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
10-26-18 | Utah v. UCLA +10.5 | Top | 41-10 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 36 m | Show |
Utah at U.C.L.A. 10:30 ET Bruins (+) over Utes- Utah is in position to win the South Division (3-2) but must first get by the Bruins who still have a shot after starting 0-5 (2-2). The Utes are off a convincing win over USC 41-28 moving them into the ranked teams at No. 24 and now catch a squad that is brimming with confidence after posting back-to-back wins smashing California and defeating Arizona. Utah is knowN for it's defense and it is UCLA that has excelled leading the Pac-12 with a plus 6 turnover ration. They have enough to get the money here. Take U.C.L.A. |
10-25-18 | Baylor +14 v. West Virginia | 14-58 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 10 m | Show
Baylor at West Virginia 7:00 ET Bears (+) over Mountaineers- West Virginia has had two weeks to lick their wounds from the 30-14 beating they took at the hands of Iowa State where they were out-gained 498-152. Baylor who has dropped a notch or two since a great run but are averaging 33.4 points per game but have dropped four of the last six meetings but are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. West Virginia doesn't respond well after a loss as they are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss. Take BAYLOR! |
10-20-18 | Arizona +8 v. UCLA | 30-31 | Win | 100 | 76 h 52 m | Show
Arizona at U.C.L.A. 10:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Bruins- Yeaaa for the Bruins, it's a tough thing for a football team to lose week in and week out especially when you are out-manned. UCLA is off their an impressive 37-7 win (their first) over California while the Wildcats were getting pasted by Utah 42-10 and it wasn't that close. For UCLA the pressure is off and they will be in their glory for this week while Arizona at 3-4 needs this one outright if they are to have any bowl aspirations. Laying any points by the Bruins against anybody right now is a mistake. Take ARIZONA! |
10-20-18 | Ohio State v. Purdue +12.5 | 20-49 | Win | 100 | 25 h 17 m | Show
Ohio State at Purdue 7:30 ET Boilermakers (+) over Buckeyes- No. 2 ranked Ohio State (7-0, 4-0) received some distracting news this week when Co-captain Nick Bosa announced that he has 'retired' from college football leaving his mates in the lurch one might think. Not really, Bosa is hurt and has been side-lined and most understood his decision but they have been winning without him. Purdue started slow losing in Big Ten action to Northwestern to start conference action but have come on strong of late. Boilermakers ranked 10th in the nation in total offense, are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings as hosts and they remember the last meetings a 56-0 beating. This one could get exciting, take the points...PURDUE! |
10-20-18 | Oregon v. Washington State -2.5 | 20-34 | Win | 100 | 26 h 40 m | Show
Oregon at Washington State 7:30 ET Cougars (-) over Ducks- After what happened with Oregon earlier in the year I still have a bad taste in my mouth thinking either with or against them. That was the Ducks only loss of the season after their overtime 30-27 win over Washington last week. Okay, so maybe now is the time to take advantage of strong trends that support 'our' position. Oregon is 0-4 straight-up and ATS after Washington and the Cougars are 8-0 ATS in their last eight meetings and are on a school record home winning streak. Take WASHINGTON STATE! |
10-20-18 | Fresno State v. New Mexico +13.5 | 38-7 | Loss | -106 | 25 h 57 m | Show
Fresno State at New Mexico 7:30 ET Lobos (+) over Bulldogs- Oh man, I like this game. I wouldn't mind being in Albuquerque to see this game up close as I think that are both quality clubs in a weak conference that will clash here. Both clubs will be well coached (Lobos 21-12 ATS w/ Bob Davie getting double-digits) and I consider them both 'go with' guys. But, they should play to each others talents and this game should be highly contested. New Mexico under Davis is 16-4 ATS with revenge. Take the LOBOS! |
10-20-18 | Mississippi State +7 v. LSU | 3-19 | Loss | -129 | 26 h 36 m | Show
Mississippi State at L.S.U. 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- Man oh man, what a spot to be in. Here you are off a huge 36-16 upset win over Georgia and now you have a visitor that spanked you last year 37-7 so revenge should be on your mind but... what does it mean with Alabama up next? This is the second of three straight at home games for the Tigers and the go from the 7-point underdog to a 7-point favorite. Mississippi State averages 6.0 yards per rushing attempt and lead the nation in fewest touchdowns allowed with seven in six games. ATS trends are all Tigers as Bulldogs are 0-7 ATS on road against higher ranked team. This week they ebb that flow. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
10-20-18 | NC State v. Clemson -16.5 | Top | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 22 h 16 m | Show |
N.C. State at Clemson 3:30 ET Tigers (-) over Wolfpack- Let me start by saying if I had not already posted my NCAA Blow-Out Game of the Year (Washington 28-7 winner) this would be it. Don't be sucked into taking an undefeated conference rival and all those points. It's a SUCKERS BET! Don't do it. The trends here will support the Wolfpack on numerous counts including they fact that they are 18-3 ATS in their last 21 games following a bye, that they are 5-1 ATS in their last six trips here, the dog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight and to cap it off Clemson is 0-4 ATS in their last four at home. Well, why then...I guess THEY'RE DUE! Take CLEMSON! |
10-20-18 | Cincinnati v. Temple -3 | Top | 17-24 | Win | 100 | 67 h 44 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Temple 12:00 ET Owls (-) over Bearcats- Here we go again...Jerry called! He's right! Last week he called and pointed out unranked USC as a 7-point favorite over a #17 ranked Colorado and won easily. This week he called to remind me that ranked and unbeaten #21 Cincinnati (6-0) comes to Temple as an underdog to the Scarlet Knights (4-2). If you are looking for answers or a rational explanation as to how this or that is going to happen or why, for that matter it is going to happen. But, it should! Maybe, some people of 'influence' in the Philadelphia area want the Owls to shine or maybe there are conditions and circumstances surrounding this game that we never be privy to. By the way the longer the wait the better the 'price' will be! Take TEMPLE! |
10-18-18 | Stanford v. Arizona State +3 | 20-13 | Loss | -120 | 27 h 7 m | Show
Stanford at Arizona State 9:00 ET Sun Devils (+) over Cardinal- For the most part Herm Edwards and his Arizona State Sun Devils have been a huge surprise even at 3-3 and more so because they are 4-2 ATS. These two met last September with Stanford a 17-point favorite in a 34-24 win, this time they visit and are just a field goal favorite. With the return of Bryce Love one would expect the 'price' to be a little stiffer or maybe Love's injuries are not the issue but, the overall quality of the Cardinal offense might be. A pair of trends in 'our' favor has the underdog 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings and more importantly the Sun Devils are 6-0 ATS in their last six after a loss. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
10-13-18 | Colorado v. USC -7 | Top | 20-31 | Win | 100 | 28 h 18 m | Show |
Colorado at Southern California 10:30 ET Trojans (-) over Rockies- My good friend Jerry called to let me know that is a game that fits a certain criteria I have about ranked teams being favored against unranked teams. What we have here is an undefeated 5-0 #18 Colorado club that is visiting USC who they have never beaten 0-12. The Buffaloes are off a bye week and have had two weeks to gloat and pat each other on the back. This week they are up against a Trojan team that was off to a slow start and has began to put it together winning their last two conference games and are ready here. Add that Colorado is 1-6 ATS after a bye. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! |
10-13-18 | Wisconsin v. Michigan -9.5 | 13-38 | Win | 100 | 25 h 6 m | Show
Wisconsin at Michigan 7:30 ET Wolverines (-) over Badgers- Look out now here come the Wolves and they are looking to play a full season to atone for their opening week loss at Notre Dame. Michigan has won five straight since that opener including a 42-21 rout of Maryland last week. Even though Wisconsin has all the trends in their corner they don't pass the eye test as they struggled with Iowa (late gaffs by Hawkeyes who had lead late) and BYU reveals weaknesses. Trend wise they are now listen to this sTuff, 7-0 ATS in their last seven on road against team with winning record, 9-1-1 in the last 11 meetings and 4-1-1 ATS in last six in Michigan. Guess what it won't matter today. Oh yeah hey something for 'our' side, the home team is 5-2-1 ATS in last eight! Take MICHIGAN! |
10-13-18 | Michigan State +13.5 v. Penn State | 21-17 | Win | 100 | 21 h 2 m | Show
Michigan State at Penn State 3:30 ET Spartans (+) over Nittany Lions- Last Saturday, I was so confident with Michigan State (lost) that I forced the noon starting contest as my Free release (noon Early-Bird starts are 6-1 86%) normally I stay with the later starting national games and have had great success. The Spartans at 3-2 SU have been money burners 1-4 ATS while Penn State is 4-1 both SU and ATS. Despite losing 29-19 at home to Northwestern, being demoted to the unranked and allowing 373 yards passing but enter this contest with the No. 1 rushing defense (33.8 yards) in the nation. MSU is 4-1 straight-up against the Lions in the last five meetings. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |
10-13-18 | Texas A&M v. South Carolina +2.5 | 26-23 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 30 m | Show
Texas A&M at South Carolina 3:30 ET Gamecocks (+) over Aggies- Now ranked #22 Texas A&M is moving up the latter and is getting better Muschamp as both were once coaching partners at LSU under Nick Saban. The balanced Aggies attack runs for 221 and throws for 270 while the Gamecocks can't match those impressive stats but South Carolina will have the return of quarterback Jake Bentley who miss last weeks win over Missouri with a knee injury. The Aggies off that emotional win defeating an unbeaten Wildcats team has them on a high. They return here and the fall hurts. Take the GAMECOCKS! |
10-13-18 | Central Florida v. Memphis +5.5 | Top | 31-30 | Win | 100 | 21 h 40 m | Show |
Central Florida at Memphis 3:30 ET Tigers (+) over Knights- Do any of you guys remember last years shoot-out as Central Florida won and covered as the home favorite (-6.5) 62-55. Well, Scott Frost (0-5 at Nebraska) is gone and nothing has changed for the Knights as they are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS laying an average 26 points per game. Memphis is averaging over 46 points and is led by Brady White who is at 69.2 completions along with Darrell Henderson leads the ACC in rushing and averages 11.8 points per game. The home team is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 and the Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last five at Memphis. Take the TIGERS! |
10-13-18 | Nebraska +4 v. Northwestern | Top | 31-34 | Win | 100 | 72 h 18 m | Show |
Nebraska at Northwestern 12:00 ET Cornhuskers (-) over Wildcats- Okay what's going on here. The opening line on this matchup was Northwestern -9 and in one swoop the number dropped to 3.5 and that is mostly due fact (I believe) that the Cornhuskers (0-5) are ready to win. Nebraska has been able to move the ball of late gaining over 500 yards in each of their last two contests (first time since 2007 that they had back-to-back 500 yards on offense. Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez accounted for 441 total yards setting a freshman school record against Wisconsin and will lead this team to their first win of the season. Take NEBRASKA! |
10-11-18 | Texas Tech v. TCU -7 | Top | 17-14 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
Texas Tech at Texas Christian 7:30 ET Horned Frogs (-) over Red Raiders- From what I've seen of these two clubs these 'price' is way high in my minds eye. Texas Tech is averaging 48.4 points per game and yet have a pair of losses to West Virginia and Mississippi (?). TCU is also 3-2 but has been totally unimpressive to date going 2-3 ATS with losses to Ohio State and Texas. The Red Raiders are 5-0 ATS in their last five games after a bye week and the Frogs are 0-4 ATS in their last four conference games. Trends all one sided and yet the line invites Tech action. No for me...take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
10-09-18 | Appalachian State v. Arkansas State +10.5 | 35-9 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 37 m | Show
Appalachian State at Arkansas State 8:00 ET Red Wolves (+) over Mountaineers- After an opening week loss to Penn State when Appalachian State (3-1, 4-0 ATS) blew a fourth quarter last minute lead and lost in overtime to the Lions. The Mountaineers have reeled off three wins since that disappointing loss and they are the 'public's' choice. Arkansas State (3-2, 1-4 ATS) is 2-0 at home but has yet to cover being heavy favorites in those contest whereas they are now a home underdog within conference play. The Red Wolves average 37.5 points at home and should stay within the 'number.' Take ARKANSAS STATE! |
10-06-18 | Utah +4 v. Stanford | 40-21 | Win | 100 | 32 h 58 m | Show
Utah at Stanford 10:30 ET Utes (+) over Cardinal- Both clubs took it on the chin last week in different fashions. Utah was holding a 24-21 lead when Washington State scored on an 89-yard touchdown pass with 4-minutes left and sent Utah to their 2nd loss (Washington) yet still have the nation's No. 5 ranked defense. This is bad news for Stanford as injuries have slowed down Heisman Candidate Bryce Love who has been a non-factor. The Utes are 4-0 ATS on their last four games on grass and will dominate the line of scrimmage leading to an outright win. Take UTAH! |
10-06-18 | Notre Dame v. Virginia Tech +7.5 | Top | 45-23 | Loss | -135 | 30 h 11 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Virginia Tech 8:00 ET Hokies (+) over Fighting Irish- No. 6 Notre Dame is having dreams of an undefeated season and a FBS Final-4 berth. No. 24 Virginia Tech who opened the season with a dominating win over Florida state only to be upset by 27-point underdog Old Dominion as the lost their starting quarterback Josh Jackson. The Irish have made a change of their own at QB but voluntarily inserted in Ian Book place of Brandon Wimbush and Book has responded with 74.3% completions while throwing for 525 yards. The Hokies once again see this as an opportunity to crack the Top-10 and move up in the nation scene. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
10-06-18 | Auburn v. Mississippi State +4 | 9-23 | Win | 100 | 29 h 49 m | Show
Auburn at Mississippi State 7:30 ET Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- I guess I 'jumped' on the Bulldogs a week early (lost to Florida outright) but that won't stop me from winning with them Saturday. The problem for Mississippi State of late has been the play of quarterback Nick Fitzgerald who is completing just 49% of his passes. New head coach Joe Moorhead got off to a good start 3-0 but has dropped his last two and needs to calm the home crowd lucky for him Auburn has other issues. The Tigers have Tennessee up next and are just 1-6 ATS the week before the Vols. Bulldogs bite here...take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
10-06-18 | Nebraska +18 v. Wisconsin | 24-41 | Win | 100 | 29 h 31 m | Show
Nebraska at Wisconsin 7:30 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Badgers- My first instinct was that these Cornhuskers just don't have what it takes after their eighth straight home loss to Purdue. Nebraska is now 0-4 both SU and ATS had 584 yards on offense but were undermined by 13 penalties for 136 yards. They are now 1-9 straight-up in their last 10 and 1-9 ATS. Wisconsin has and an extra weeks rest but I don't think they had Nebraska on their minds. The Cornhuskers have out-gained three of their four opponents. This time they at least get the 'cover.' Take NEBRASKA! |
10-06-18 | LSU v. Florida +3 | Top | 19-27 | Win | 100 | 25 h 25 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' SEC 'Game of the Year!' Chip Chirimbes is now 2-0 100% with Games of the Year after his NCAA 'Blow-Out' Game of the Year winner Washington (-18) 35-7 over BYU. The 'A'-Play (Chip) has singled out the 'Strongest' SEC Play of the season a HUGE 'Guaranteed' winner that will easily 'cover' your point spread. Chip, the Las Vegas Hilton Champ is known as the 'Big Game Player and has his SEC A-Play Game of the Year winner between L.S.U. and Florida. Chip's GOY releases were a 'Documented' 14-4 78% in 2017. |||||||
10-06-18 | Syracuse v. Pittsburgh +4 | 37-44 | Win | 100 | 13 h 34 m | Show
Syracuse at Pittsburgh 12:20 ET Panthers (+) over Orange- Syracuse laid it all on the line last Saturday as they held Clemson at bay until the final minutes until bowing to Clemson 27-23 allowing two touchdowns in the final quarter. Pittsburgh is in the mist of struggles on defense allowing 457.5 yards per game and have yet to pass for 200 yards in a game. But, it will be difficult for Orange coach Dino Babers to get his squad focused after such a disappointing loss and they can get ambushed here. Take PITTSBURGH! |
10-05-18 | Utah State +3 v. BYU | Top | 45-20 | Win | 100 | 27 h 52 m | Show |
Utah State at Brigham Young 9:00 ET Aggies (+) over Cougars- Okay, Kenny this one is yours! But, I'm on board 100%. When the season opened the Vegas odds-makers had little regard for BYU making them a 10-point dog at Arizona (Wildcats are terrible) and then a 23-point underdog at Wisconsin, but two road upset wins have changed their impression. Now, after losing in 'our' Blow-out' GOY (they were on the short end 35-7 to Washington) they come up a meager favorite at home against an intra-state rival. Utah State ( 3-1, 4-0 ATS) who has been a doormat for the most part as far as college football is concerned is averaging 51.5 points a game and is 4-1 ATS in their last five trips the BYU. Note this is a state rival and the underdog is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings. Take UTAH STATE! |
09-29-18 | Oregon v. California +2 | 42-24 | Loss | -107 | 31 h 55 m | Show
Oregon at California 10:30 ET Golden Bears (+) over Ducks- After a complete collapse in losing to Stanford last Saturday I don't see how the Ducks can physiologically be ready to do any of it. That was 'their' game, they were ready for it and blew out Stanford only to have 'stripes' step in and the games karma changed. The Ducks (0-4 ATS) went on to blow the game themselves. I believe that they have and carried 'it' with themselves all week. Going o the road won't help as they are 0-5 ATS in their last five games on field turf. Note the home team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Hold your breath and take the GOLDEN BEARS! |
09-29-18 | BYU v. Washington -16.5 | Top | 7-35 | Win | 100 | 29 h 32 m | Show |
Brigham Young at Washington 8:30 ET Huskies (-) over Cougars- Whoa...whoa! What's is this 'number' supposed to be? A pair of 3-1 clubs with mirror image ATS record with BYU 3-1 and Washington 1-3 ATS. This match-up makes me sweat as I hate to lay points like this but there are too many positive factors to ignore. The bad stuff is BYU is 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and the Huskies are 0-4 in their last four non-conference games. Okay, that's out of the way and I don't care about it because this 'number' is so outrageous it takes precedence over everything. The Cougars have posted impressive wins over Arizona 28-23, Wisconsin 24-21 and last week 30-3 over McNeese State. And that's what going to hurt them. Washington had a toughie last week against Arizona State winning 27-20 but have won three straight since Auburn and are gaining momentum. I don't expect this price to rise but to drop. The fact that this is the FOX-TV game rises my expectations. Take WASHINGTON! |
09-29-18 | South Carolina v. Kentucky +1.5 | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 26 h 10 m | Show
South Carolina at Kentucky 7:30 ET Gamecocks (+) over Wildcats- Man, I can't believe that way both the 'public and wise guys have jumped on Kentucky. Then again the No. 17 Wildcats are 4-0 straight-up and yet they come up in a pick-em against a non-ranked SEC rival. This looks too easy to me, I mean Kentucky is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings (a dog in 4 of the five) and just upset Mississippi State as a 10-point underdog 28-7 and are barley favored at home. This smells to me! Okay, you want something to hang your hat on South Carolina is 5-0-1 ATS in their last six road games. Take the GAMECOCKS! |
09-29-18 | Florida v. Mississippi State -7 | 13-6 | Loss | -105 | 25 h 27 m | Show
Florida at Mississippi State 6:00 ET Bulldogs (-) over Gators- It appears (so they say) that both clubs circled this date on their schedules because of the coaching move that was made between these two SEC competitors. Former Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen left Mississippi State after nine seasons and returned to Florida where he served as offensive coordinator for two National Championships in four years. Now, with the Gators he has some rebuilding to do although he is 3-1 this season. Mississippi State got caught looking ahead last week and were ambushed by Kentucky 28-7 while Florida was crushing a hapless Tennessee squad 47-21. Bulldogs haven't defeated Florida by more then seven points since 1992, so why now! I think the 'price' lends me toward Bulldogs especially after they got caught peeking last week. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
09-29-18 | Michigan v. Northwestern +15 | 20-17 | Win | 100 | 24 h 8 m | Show
Michigan at Northwestern 4:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Wolverines- I know the Wildcats just lost their leading rusher, well he really hasn't had much of an impact on their ground game as it is but this Michigan defense surrenders just 14.2 points per contest. The Wolverines come steam rolling into Evanston posting three straight wins by a 150-33 margin while Northwestern after an opening win over Purdue they have dropped their last two games including a disappointing 39-34 loss to Akron. The Wolves have won 10 of the last 11 meetings overall but with two weeks to prepare and like their wounds the like the Wildcats chances. Take NORTHWESTERN! |
09-29-18 | Purdue v. Nebraska +3.5 | 42-28 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 26 m | Show
Purdue at Nebraska 3:30 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Boilermakers- Man oh man! Do I like this side! But, this game is in an obscure spot on the Saturday menu and I always prefer the 'Big Game' situation. Nebraska is an embarrassing 0-3 ATS and I mean embarrassing losing to Troy at home and down 49-0 at the half last week at Michigan. The Cornhuskers have now lost seven straight going 0-7 ATS in their last seven. Last week they were out-gained by 605 yards. I'be been right with Purdue the last two weeks so I feel comfortable taking a shot the Coach Frost who will have his club ready to play today. Take NEBRASKA! |
09-29-18 | Syracuse v. Clemson -23.5 | 23-27 | Loss | -114 | 73 h 14 m | Show
Syracuse at Clemson 12:00 ET Tigers (-) over Orange- Orange is right, no matter whose's side your on you will be covered in orange at Clemson Memorial Stadium. Both clubs are 4-0 and Syracuse has shown that they can play with the big boys by defeating Florida State 30-7 but their other competition has been suspect winning against Connecticut, Wagner and William & Mary while the Tigers have four four straight including a hair raising 28-26 win over Texas A&M. All that means nothing Saturday because this is al about 'revenge', yep good old fashion revenge for a 27-24 upset Syracuse win over the Tigers in the Dome. The last time the Orange were here the Tigers roared to a 54-0 victory. I see more of the same here. Take CLEMSON! |
09-28-18 | UCLA +10 v. Colorado | 16-38 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 15 m | Show
UCLA at Colorado 9:00 ET Bruins (+) over Buffaloes- This is without question the weakest UCLA team that I have seen in my lifetime. Granted they are young and have a new head coach in Chip Kelly but their only 'cover' was in a 49-21 loss to Oklahoma with a 'back-door cover' as a 31-point underdog. The Bruins to their defense have lost to a couple of under-rated clubs in Fresno State and Cincinnati but they weren't even close when the final score was posted. Colorado is 3-0 both straight-up and ATS with wins over Colorado State (very weak this season), Nebraska (who have their worse team in over 50 years) and powerhouse New Hampshire. Upon series review we see that the underdog is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings and the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. We will need a little luck and a few whistles at the right time. Take UCLA! |
09-27-18 | North Carolina v. Miami-FL -17.5 | 10-47 | Win | 100 | 10 h 56 m | Show
North Carolina at Miami 8:00 ET Hurricanes (-) over Tar Heels- This seems to be a very high line and I wonder if North Carolina is that bad or Miami that good. After getting pushed around by LSU (who has proven they can play) in their National TV opener losing 33-17 and it wasn't that close. Since then they have steam rolled thee patsies Savana State 77-0, Toledo 49-24 and FIU 31-17 and fact is that they have out-gained all four of their opponents including LSU (by 46 yards). The fact of the matter is that both teams are using dual quarterbacks as inefficiency and injuries have had their toll. For the Heels last years starter Chazz Surratt returns from the three game suspension while his replacement junior Nathan Elliot was impressive until Pittsburgh last week throwing for 313 yards. Miami, has replaced Malik Rosier with the more accurate N'Kosi Perry who was 17-of 25 for 224 yards and three TD's last week. North Carolina defeated the Canes in 2016 the last time they lost in Miami (11 straight wins). Do they remember...nah but I'll use it...Take MIAMI! |
09-22-18 | Arizona State v. Washington -17 | 20-27 | Loss | -110 | 82 h 5 m | Show
Arizona State at Washington 10:30 ET Huskies (-) over Sun Devils- When Herm Edwards opened his rein with ASU three weeks ago few expected much (especially Las Vegas) but to their surprise the Sun Devils started 2-0 until last week they blew a 14-point lead and we saw what we expected. But, this week Washington has been made a huge favorite at home and the points look most inviting. Don't fall for it. Las Vegas was right all along and Arizona State will be out-manned and out-gunned here. Herm's 'bubble has burst'...take the HUSKIES! |
09-22-18 | Stanford v. Oregon +3 | Top | 38-31 | Loss | -115 | 27 h 44 m | Show |
Stanford at Oregon 8:00 ET Ducks (+) over Cardinal- Man, where's Chip Kelly when you need him...(getting killed at UCLA). Oregon was a Pac-12 power under Kelly getting the Championship game before falling to Auburn and Cam Newtown, anyway after pounding three nobodies scoring 155 points while going 3-0. Stanford will have the return of running back Bryce Love the Heisman candidate who missed the thriller against UC Davis (30-10). Ducks have scored 43 points per game the 18 contests and are looking to avenge last years 49-7 loss at Stanford. Take OREGON! |
09-22-18 | Michigan State v. Indiana +6 | Top | 35-21 | Loss | -105 | 27 h 40 m | Show |
Michigan State at Indiana 7:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Spartans- This could have been at match-up of unbeaten's if the Spartans hadn't just totally fell apart in the fourth quarter two weeks ago at Arizona State blowing a late 13-3 lead. Indiana is 3-0 SU, 1-2 ATS having struggled against the number covering as a favorite for the first time last time out against Ball State. Last season the Hoosiers snatched defeat in the jaws of victory at Michigan in their 19-7 loss and look to atone against a Michigan State team that may not be as strong as predicted. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take INDIANA! |
09-22-18 | TCU v. Texas +4 | Top | 16-31 | Win | 100 | 23 h 25 m | Show |
Texas Christian at Texas 4:30 ET Longhorns (+) over Horned Frogs- After cashing in with both these clubs last Saturday I still see a winner between them Saturday afternoon. Texas worn down the youthful USC squad in the second half and won 37-14 in a crushing win that coach Tom Herman said was much needed to understand the energy needed to win. TCU gave 'us' a major effort and could have actually defeated Ohio State if not for two late INT's. There is no doubt in my head who the better team is as TCU has won the last four meetings by and average of 30 points. But, the Frogs are off an emotion home loss to the Buckeyes and may be a little 'down.' In a surprise take...TEXAS! |
09-22-18 | Georgia v. Missouri +15 | 43-29 | Win | 100 | 86 h 28 m | Show
Georgia at Missouri 12 Noon ET Tigers (+) over Bulldogs- Georgia has moved into the No. 2 spot (not that it matters right now) and have scored 135 points averaging 45 per game while the Tigers are 3-0 coving off a non-cover win (-5) 40-37 over Purdue. Missouri have been no slouch offensively scoring 131 points including 51 against Tenn-Martin and average 44 per contest. Although the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings Missouri is 4-1 ATS over the Bulldogs in the last five meetings. Mizzu has a 17-point first half lead and a 10-point lead late I the fourth before they allowed the Boilermakers to back-door scores for the 40-37 final. Tigers run with Bulldogs here. Take MISSOURI! |
09-22-18 | Boston College v. Purdue +7 | 13-30 | Win | 100 | 86 h 16 m | Show
Boston College at Purdue 12 Noon ET Boilermakers (+) over Eagles- I have seen both these clubs in all three of their games so far and I have this to say about them Boston College is better then most people realize and Purdue is young but will scrape and claw to the very end. The Eagles are 3-0 bot SU and ATS lead by AJ Dillon's 185 yards rushing Wake forest had no answer as Anthony Brown threw for 304 yards. The Boilermakers answer is a two-headed rushing attack behind Matt Colburn and Cade Carney who ran 117 and 116 yards respectively. In desperate need of a win Purdue gets the money here. Take the BOILERMAKERS! |
09-15-18 | Arizona State v. San Diego State +6 | Top | 21-28 | Win | 100 | 30 h 25 m | Show |
Arizona State at San Diego State 10:30 ET Aztecs (+) over Sun Devils- Do Sun Devils come out at night...not this week! There are some many reasons to be 'against' Arizona State (Herm Edwards aside). Rocky Long's San Diego State squad is a little banged-up but he always manages to have his troops ready when playing against the PAC-12 where he is 5-1-1 ATS as a home dog. Note, that ASU is 1-5 ATS in their last six against the Mountain West and worst then that for them they fall into a 8-27 ATS go 'against' trend being 2-0 SU and favored on the road in Game 3. Take SAN DIEGO STATE! |
09-15-18 | Washington v. Utah +5.5 | 21-7 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 56 m | Show
Washington at Utah 10:00 ET Utes (+) over Huskies- Their is no question that Washington is one of the better college football teams and may end up the pride of the Pac-12 before it's all said and done but this is a tough spot for them to open their conference schedule. After opening the season with a tough loss against Auburn the Huskies bounced back with a 45-3 dominating win over North Dakota while Utah has won a pair as 13 and 31-point favorites. The underdog is 5-0 ATS in their last meetings and Washington is 0-4 ATS in their last four on the road. Take UTAH! |
09-15-18 | Ohio State v. TCU +13 | 40-28 | Win | 100 | 26 h 3 m | Show
Ohio State at Texas Christian 8:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Buckeyes- the last time these two met was 1973 and although I may have seen it I certainly don't remember but what I do know is Ohio State has smashed their two opponents 77-31 Oregon State (-40) and Rutgers 52-3 (-35) and don't seem to be bother by the absence of Urban Meyer. TCU overcame SMU 42-12 after a slow start and also pounded Southern 55-7 in their opener. The Horned Frogs should be able to their solid defense and score enough to keep this one close. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
09-15-18 | Missouri v. Purdue +6 | 40-37 | Win | 100 | 25 h 10 m | Show
Missouri at Purdue 7:30 ET Boilermakers (+) over Tigers- Purdue has opened the season with a pair of home losses the first of which we can understand as the opened an underdog against a gutty Northwestern club but then failed outright as a 15-point favorite against Eastern Michigan losing 20-19. Well, they say the third time is a charm and I expect a winning performance for the Boilermakers here as Missouri plays their first game on the road. The Tigers have busted out of the gate crushing East Ten State 51-14 as a 35.5-point favorite and then manhandled Wyoming as a 19-point favorite 40-13. Purdue defeated the Tigers 25-3 last season and have the confidence despite being 0-2 that they have tame the Tigers. Take the BOILERMAKERS! |
09-15-18 | Houston v. Texas Tech +2 | Top | 49-63 | Win | 100 | 22 h 57 m | Show |
Houston at Texas Tech 4:15 ET Red Raiders (+) over Cougars- Both clubs will look to run you to death and I don't mean with a ground game I mean with the pace of play. Houston has posted 45 points in each of their wins over Rice and Arizona while Texas Tech scored 77 against under-manned Lamar after opening with a loss to Mississippi 47-27. The Cougars prefer natural grass as they are 0-8 ATS in last eight on Field Turf but will have junior QB D'Eriq King who has 10 TD in two games. The Red Raiders will counter with their two-headed QB attack and a better defense. Take TEXAS TECH! |
09-15-18 | LSU v. Auburn -10 | Top | 22-21 | Loss | -115 | 21 h 25 m | Show |
Louisiana State at Auburn 3:30 ET Home Team Tigers (-) over Visiting Tigers- There isn't one person that I've met that doesn't think this line is out of whack. They all insist the proper line would have Auburn a 3-4 point favorite and that is why this game caught my attention. Here we have LSU pummeling Miami on National TV and then shutting out SE Louisiana 31-0 now a virtual 10-point underdog against a team rated at their level. In head-to-head action the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and LSU in 0-4 ATS in their last four visits to Jordan-Hare Stadium. I expect Auburn t get off to a quick start and then apply pressure as the game continues as they have allowed just three first quarter touchdowns in the last 21 games. A heavy load to bare but I have to LAY-IT and you should too. Take AUBURN! |
09-15-18 | Hawaii v. Army -6 | Top | 21-28 | Win | 100 | 89 h 34 m | Show |
Hawaii at Army Sat Noon ET Cadets (-) over Rainbows- I can't emphasize how ridiculous this game looks 'to me' after sharing with you the 'set-up' here. Here's how it starts, Hawaii comes East 3-0 averaging 49-points per contest and defeated the Navy in Hawaii as a 10-point dog 59-41. So, we know when Army and Navy are to be rated in the last three decades that you would start with Navy as a 10-point favorite and then work form there. Now, this may be a part of National Pride with the understanding that there is a rivalry between the Cadets and Middies but in essence the Rainbows have beaten 'one of our own'. For the Army to open as a 7-point favorite if a farce after what Hawaii has done. 'It Don't Make Sense'...Take ARMY! |
09-08-18 | Michigan State -5 v. Arizona State | Top | 13-16 | Loss | -103 | 29 h 40 m | Show |
Michigan State at Arizona State 7:45 ET Spartans (-) over Sun Devils- Wow, what an adjustment the odds makers have done concerning Arizona State as they for the most part just totally disregard them after the hiring of Herm Edwards. They set the win total for the Sun Devils at 4.5 and that is real ranking them amount the lowest of major schools. ASU under Edwards pummeled Texas San Antonio 49-7 and really flexed their muscles to the point the odds makes moved this number down 2-points before it hit the board. Michigan stated who hands their hat on their defense surrendered 344 yards to Utah State and escaped with a 38-31 victory. I just really like this spot. Take SPARTANS! |
09-08-18 | USC +6 v. Stanford | Top | 3-17 | Loss | -107 | 26 h 7 m | Show |
USC at Stanford 8:30 ET Trojans (+) over Cardinals- These two rivals started the season in fine fashion playing close with their opponents for the first half before pulling away down the stretch. USC (-24) handled a 'game' UNLV squad 43-21 leading 19-14 heading into the final period before outscoring the Rebels 24-7 but not an ATS winner. Stanford like the Trojans started slowly and lead 9-7 at the half before running away from San Diego State cruising in the second half 22-3. Southern Cal holds a 62-32-3 series advantage winning last season 31-28 as a 3.5-point favorite. This time the 'cover' as the road 'Dog'. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! |
09-08-18 | Penn State v. Pittsburgh +7.5 | 51-6 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 21 m | Show
Penn State at Pittsburgh 8:00 ET Panthers (+) over Nittany Lions- I usually play 'against' the team that had a 'party' the week before as Pitt did against FCS Albany winning 33-7, and I like to play on the team coming off a winning struggle as the Lions did on their last minute come-from-behind and overtime 45-38 win against Appalachian State. This line opened at 14 in August and you can see the adjustment the lines-maker has made since then. Granted Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley is one of the biggest 'winners' in college sports and will tough to beat but the Lions interior isn't where it should be. The points might help...take PITTSBURGH! |
09-08-18 | Iowa State +3.5 v. Iowa | 3-13 | Loss | -105 | 22 h 7 m | Show
Iowa State at Iowa 5:00 ET Cyclones (+) over Hawkeyes- 'Don't you think that this is a ;short' number considering the stature of these two schools. (Football-wise) .The Hawkeyes have a game under their belt as they manhandled Northern Illinois 33-7 while this is the season opener for Iowa State. One would tend to think that fact would lean toward Iowa but it has 'not' been reflected in the line. And, I think I know why. In college football often one player is the game changer and is good enough to dominate the stage and the Cyclones have on of those players in Davis Montgomery along with an experienced sixth-year quarterback with Kyle Kempt who hit 66% of his passes last year. Through the air of on the ground Iowa could be in big trouble here. Take IOWA STATE! |
09-03-18 | Virginia Tech +7.5 v. Florida State | 24-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 18 m | Show
Virginia Tech at Florida State 7:30 ET Hokies (+) over Seminoles- After a disappointing 2017 Florida State (7-6) will once again reload and start junior Deondre Francois who was injured in their opener last year and sat out almost the entire season. Virginia Tech will counter with sophomore Josh Jackson who had 3,315 yards in total offense including 20 touchdowns. This of course is an ACC match-up which should bring this competition closer as Florida State is 0-6-2 ATS in their last eight conference games. Go with the flow here. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
09-02-18 | Miami-FL v. LSU +3.5 | 17-33 | Win | 100 | 10 h 31 m | Show
Miami vs L.S.U. 7:30 ET Tigers (+) over Hurricanes- Last season we saw a rejuvenated Miami club open the season with 10 straight wins before dropping their final three contests including their Bowl game against Wisconsin. LSU was very disappointing season losing four times including a loss to Troy and also lost their Bowl game to Notre Dame. Miami will one again start Malik Rosier who was good enough until the final three games when the competition stiffened and he finished with five interceptions and 44% completions. The Tigers will have a 'new' quarterback for the 16th time in the last 21 seasons. But, LSU owns the Hurricanes posting a 9-3 lifetime record and get the money Sunday. Take L.S.U.! |
09-01-18 | BYU +12 v. Arizona | 28-23 | Win | 100 | 27 h 48 m | Show
B.Y.U. at Arizona 10:45 ET Cougars (+) over Wildcats- The have been huge coaching changes at the two PAC-12 Arizona schools and the one that went under the radar was Kevin Sumlin taking over at Arizona after six seasons at Texas A&M. To his benefit he inherits one of the most exciting quarterbacks in all of college football in Khalil Tate who is one of the Heisman per-season candidates. But, Take and Sumlin lost three offensive linemen to graduation and of what's left is either injuries or suspended. Tanner Mangum has reclaimed the starting QB job as he looks to regain the form that had him throw for 3,377 yards in 2015. BYU is coming off its worst record since 1970 and I expect them to bounce-back this season especially with their more 'mature' roster. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! |
09-01-18 | Michigan v. Notre Dame +1 | Top | 17-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 48 m | Show |
Michigan at Notre Dame 4:30 ET Fighting Irish over Wolverines- What a way to start the season! No. 11 Notre Dame will host No. 14 Michigan and these two heavy weights haven't met since 2014 when the Irish pounded the Wolves 31-0 and have won five of the last six when playing as hosts. But with new coaches on both sides Michigan's Jim Harbaugh and Notre Dame Brian Kelly this game takes on an even larger ora. Michigan return 10 starters on defense the No. 13 ranked stop unit in NCAA action last season and have transfer quarterback Shea Peterson from Mississippi while the Irish return multi-talented Brandon Wimbush who can beat you in the air or on the ground. Notre Dame has won 25 of its last 31 openers and they only have to WIN here. Take NOTRE DAME! |
09-01-18 | Washington +2.5 v. Auburn | 16-21 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 55 m | Show
Washington vs Auburn 3:30 ET Huskies (+) over Tigers- Great match-up to kick-off the ABC season as this game is scheduled at a neutral site (hardly, it's in Atlanta). I expect Auburn to be ready for the Huskies who have aspirations of getting down to the Final-4 and must win here to impress the voters early because of the weak PAC-12...but it all starts here. Out west they feel Washington is their best chance to challenge for the championship and although they failed miserably when they were there a couple of years ago they have more 'Big Game' experience behind quarterback senior quarterback Jake Browning and head coach Chris Peterson. Take WASHINGTON! |
09-01-18 | West Virginia v. Tennessee +10.5 | 40-14 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 25 m | Show
West Virginia at Tennessee 3:30 ET Volunteers (+) over Mountaineers- As usual West Virginia enters the season with plenty of hype. This battle is being played in Charlotte, North Carolina which many feel is actually an advantage for the Mountaineers as Morgantown is much closer then Knoxville. West Virginia returns Will Grier the Heisman hopeful who was second in the nation with 34 touchdown passes last season. Tennessee after eight losses the most in school history has a defense that surrendered 29.1 points per game but returns Jarrett Guarantano who has 4-2 as a starter for a 4-8 team. This will be closer then most believe. Take TENNESSEE! |
08-31-18 | Colorado State +8 v. Colorado | Top | 13-45 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 5 m | Show |
Colorado vs. Colorado State 9:30 ET Rams over Buffaloes- Neither of these clubs are expected to shine through the season but the way Colorado State was manhandled by Hawaii 43-34 Saturday night surrendering 617 total yards makes me wonder. Now, that is an incredible sum of yards to surrender by a team that went off a 17-point favorite. Yet, after trailing 37-7 the Rams had the heart to fight back and close on a 28-6 rush. And further still is the fact that Colorado State gained 653 yards themselves including 537 passing by K.J. Carta-Samuels (Washington graduate transfer) who had five passing TD's. State should have no trouble getting 'up' for their intra-state rival and probably were caught looking ahead last week. The Buffaloes are at Nebraska next week and could get caught 'peeking' and get caught here. Take the points and the RAMS! |
08-25-18 | Wyoming v. New Mexico State +4 | Top | 29-7 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 28 m | Show |
Wyoming at New Mexico State 10 PM ET Aggies (+) over Cowboys- It took New Mexico State coach Doug Martin five season but he finally brought the Aggies to their first Bowl game and win since 1960. Now, that is some drought! Wyoming of course is known for producing the Bills #1 pick in Josh Allen who only completed 55% of his passes for the Cowboys last year as they closed their 7-5 season with a 37-14 Bowl win over Central Michigan . Although NMS lost three key offensive players they return 15 starters including nine on defense and only lost 13 seniors. Wyoming opened a 5.5 point favorite but the 'sharps' in Las Vegas have driven it down to 3.5. as of Friday afternoon but I suspect it will go back up. With the late start I would have to believe that the 'public' will bet this game back up. So, if you can, I think you will get more points the longer you can wait before making your wager. Take NEW MEXICO STATE! |
01-08-18 | Alabama v. Georgia +5 | Top | 26-23 | Win | 100 | 27 h 22 m | Show |
National Championship Megabucks Winner Alabama vs. Georgia 9:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Crimson Tide- Well, the SEC will have it's way on Monday as they had five teams in five New Year's Day games and ended up with these two playing for all the marbles. (Do kids play with marbles anymore?) Alabama crushed as 'we' predicted last week and were so dominate if looks as though they are unbeatable. The Tide who have been weakened by injuries lost another starting linebacker against Clemson and they will need every bit of muscle to contend with the Bulldogs front line and running backs. We know that Nick Saban is 11-0 against former assistant coaches and Kirby Smart was his former Defensive Coordinator. In head-to-head action the underdog is 4-0 ATS. Georgia has to ways to win this bet as the points may become a factor. Take the BULLDOGS! |
01-01-18 | Alabama -3 v. Clemson | Top | 24-6 | Win | 100 | 27 h 25 m | Show |
Sugar Bowl- New Orleans, LA 8:45 ET Alabama vs Clemson Crimson Tide (-) over Tigers- From what I here from the 'experts' Alabama is actually an underdog here because they really don't belong in the CFP. But, in reality they are a No. 4 team and favored over No. 1. Now, let me think, who knows more about how good these teams are, the pollsters or the odds-makers. Clemson is 7-0 ATS in their last seven bowl games as now, this is an amazing stat, the underdog in Clemson's last 15 bowl games is 14-1 ATS. This is the third straight championship meetings between these two with the Tigers 'covering' both contests having Deshaun Watson leading the way, he's gone now and so goes Clemson's chances. Take ALABAMA! |
01-01-18 | Georgia v. Oklahoma +2.5 | 54-48 | Loss | -102 | 23 h 11 m | Show
Rose Bowl- Pasadena, CA 5:00 ET Georgia vs Oklahoma Sooners (+) over Bulldogs- Wow, what a great match-up with the Heisman winner quarterback against one of the more fundamentally sound defenses in the nation. Georgia has the countries 4th best defense allowing just 13.2 points per contest and a ground game that few have been able to slow down. Georgia is off three straight dominating performances but now are up against a force that is virtually unstoppable (remember Ohio State). Note that Heisman Trophy winner are 0-6 both straight-up and ATS when play as a bowl underdog and yet here we are. With the storyline surrounding Mayfield's illness (?) its all a ruse. Take OKLAHOMA! |
01-01-18 | LSU -3 v. Notre Dame | 17-21 | Loss | -112 | 19 h 45 m | Show
Citrus Bowl- Orlando, FL 1:00 ET Louisiana State vs Notre Dame Tigers (-) over Fighting Irish- If ever there was a smash-mouth matchup this is it. Both clubs will slam the ball down your throat with an occasional pass to keep you off balance. Notre Dame has the 7th best rushing attack in the nation and two top quality runners in Josh Adams (1,386) and quarterback Brandon Wimbush who rushed for 765 yards with 14 touchdowns and threw for 1,818 yards with 16 touchdown. LSU's defense is as tough as any the Irish have seen allowing just 18.8 points against that tough SEC schedule. The Tigers defense needs to negate one player and they can do it. Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
01-01-18 | Central Florida +11 v. Auburn | Top | 34-27 | Win | 100 | 19 h 53 m | Show |
Peach Bowl- Atlanta, GA 12:30 ET Central Florida and Auburn Knights (+) over Auburn- Last bowl season Auburn was juiced to play Oklahoma and they won easily but this year not-so-much. After playing in the SEC the Tigers will have a condescending attitude toward these American Athletic Conference upstarts! Auburn is more concerned with SEC play as they are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games. In an unusual situation Central Florida head coach Scott Frost who took this team from winless in 2015 to undefeated (12-0) this season is coaching for the final time here as he is on to Nebraska. His players respond and out run the Tigers. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
12-30-17 | Wisconsin v. Miami-FL +6 | 34-24 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 13 m | Show
Orange Bowl- Miami, FL 8:00 ET Wisconsin at Miami, FL Hurricanes (+) over Badgers- Okay we should all be familiar with the U.M. Story, they go 10-0 and the press claim they 'haven't played anybody, they have been beneficial with truly great bounces,' yep, when the last two contests to Pittsburgh and then crushed by Clemson. They are 0-3 ATS in their last three and 2-6 ATS in their last eight. Wisconsin meanwhile suffered the same predicament they were 12-1 and were a 7-point underdog in the Big Ten Conference Champions game and got crushed. So, who rebounds and how has packed it in? Well, the game is in Miami, which give 'us' a 'home dog' in the Orange Bow. Ill take it! Take MIAMI! |

12-30-17 | Washington +3 v. Penn State | Top | 28-35 | Loss | -125 | 20 h 34 m | Show |
Fiesta Bowl- Phoenix, AZ 4:00 ET Washington and Penn State Huskies (+) over Nittany Lions- I love this match-up with two equally balanced teams that should provide us with great quarterbacking and running football. There will be a challenged here as the Nittany Lions run for 167 yards per contest and Washington is the only Bowl club that did not allow a 100 yard rusher this season. So, it appears Saquon Barkley will need some help from QB Trace McSorley (who I love but may never play on Sundays) who led the Big Ten is passing yards (3,228) with 431 and 11 TD's rushing. Washington will rely on QB Jake Browning and superior coaching. Huskies coach Chris Peterson is 23-5 straight-up and 1 |
12-30-17 | Iowa State v. Memphis -4 | 21-20 | Loss | -102 | 16 h 19 m | Show
Liberty Bowl- Memphis, TN 12:30 ET Iowa State vs Memphis Tigers (-) over Cyclones- One might think that the Tigers have a qualified advantage playing a bowl game at home, especially when one notices that they were 3-0 at home this season and 5-2 ATS. But, there is always a but, Iowa State has proven to be a formidable foe on the road going 4-2 straight up and 5-0-1 ATS. Cyclones Mike Norvell comes here after being named Big-12 Coach of the Year. It's good to learn humility. The Memphis offense averaged nearly 48 points and has more speed then Iowa State has faced this season. Take MEMPHIS! |
12-30-17 | Louisville v. Mississippi State +7 | 27-31 | Win | 100 | 16 h 57 m | Show
Taxslayer Bowl- Jacksonville, FL 12:00 ET Louisville vs Mississippi State Bulldogs (+) over Cardinals- These two combatants had identical 8-4 straight-up records with Louisville falling short of expectations with a returning Heisman winner going 5-7 ATS. The Bulldogs closed with a loss against rival Mississippi after playing Alabama tough and defeating Arkansas. Cardinals QB Lamar Jackson ran for over 1,300 yards for the consecutive year but might find some resistance against this Bulldog defensive front. Louisville defense allowing 27.1 per game won't be able to contain the Bulldogs running game. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
12-29-17 | USC v. Ohio State -7.5 | Top | 7-24 | Win | 100 | 23 h 7 m | Show |
Cotton Bowl- Dallas, TX 8:30 ET Southern California vs Ohio State Buckeyes (-) over Trojans- A pair of national powers that had aspirations of participating in the Final-4 will vent their frustrations in Dallas in this marquis matchup. Quarterbacks are always a key factor when schools of this caliber meet with one being a sure-fired pro in San Darnold of USC while his Buckeyes counterpart may not be a pro but he knows who to put points together in the college game. Ohio State puts up 42.5 points per contest while the USC average 34.5 per game. On defense is where the true difference shows as the Trojans give up 26.3 points while the Buckeyes keep opponents under 20 at 19.9. Add that urban Meyer is 14-3 straight-up and ATS with rest against non-conference opponents! Take OHIO STATE! |
12-29-17 | Kentucky +8.5 v. Northwestern | 23-24 | Win | 100 | 19 h 12 m | Show
Music City Bowl- Nashville, TN 4:40 ET Kentucky vs Northwestern Wildcats (+) over Wildcats- Northwestern who has won seven consecutive games going 7-0 ATS after a 31-7 loss to Penn State while Kentucky has dropped their last two and are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games. Both clubs have featured running backs as Northwestern's Justin Jackson has rushed for over 1,000 yards four straight seasons and Kentucky will counter with a dynamic runner of their own in in Benny Snell who had 18 touchdowns this season. When a team 'backs' into a bowl big as Kentucky did I always expect them to try and prove that they are worthy. Take KENTUCKY! |
12-29-17 | NC State v. Arizona State +7 | Top | 52-31 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 13 m | Show |
Sun Bowl- El Paso, TX 3:00 ET North Carolina State vs Arizona State 3:00 ET Sun Devils (+) over Wolfpack- 'You play to win the game!' That is the cry of new Sun Devils head coach Herm Edwards who lost the game that spawned that famous quote. N.C State has its security as they signed head coach Dave Doeren to a five-year extension. Edwards was looking to keep his coaching staff in tact but some have left on their own knowing to dark days that lay ahead. This game doesn't have as much meaning to the Pack as their season final win over North Carolina and they were just 4-8 ATS. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
12-28-17 | Michigan State v. Washington State +1.5 | Top | 42-17 | Loss | -100 | 24 h 19 m | Show |
Holiday Bowl- San Diego, CA 9:00 ET Michigan State vs Washington State Cougars over Spartans- When this match-up was established Washington State opened the favorite and now have moved to the underdog because of the 'public' and 'sharps' reaction and heavy betting on Michigan State. This game caught my eye early as I had great success with and against 'both' these clubs this season winning THREE different Games of the Year (3-0) with them involved! So, where do we go from here...I'm good here and have the Cougars offense and team speed to throttle the Spartans defense. Take WASHINGTON STATE! |
12-28-17 | Stanford +3 v. TCU | 37-39 | Win | 100 | 24 h 18 m | Show
Alamo Bowl- San Antonio, TX 9:00 ET Stanford vs Texas Christian Cardinal (+) over Horned Frogs- A great matchup between two quality programs that will play fundamentally sound football. For football viewing pleasure is assured with these two quality coaches. TCU has limited its opponents just 3.2 yards per carry (8th) and will have to deal with one of the nation's top running backs who finished 2nd in the Heisman voting. Bryce Love ran for 1,973 yards (and missed time because of injury) averaging 8.3 yards an attempt. The Cardinal is 4-0 ATS in their last four against the Big-12 while TCU is 0-5 ATS after scoring 40 or more points in their previous game. This contest is virtually a toss-up and I'll take the points. Take STANFORD! |
12-28-17 | Virginia Tech +6 v. Oklahoma State | Top | 21-30 | Loss | -108 | 21 h 44 m | Show |
Camping World Bowl- Orlando, FL 5:15 ET Virginia Tech vs Oklahoma State Hokies (+) over Cowboys- There is no question in my mind the 'public' and for the most part overall 'Free World' will be betting on the Cowboys. Virginia Tech is not a school that generates much interest and I think it has to do with their color scheme. But, they can and they do play good football and with the retirement of Frank Beamer and they haven't skipped a beat. There will a huge clash of styles here as Oklahoma State averages over 46 points per games while Virginia Tech allows only 13.5 points per contest. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
12-27-17 | Missouri -2.5 v. Texas | 16-33 | Loss | -120 | 23 h 13 m | Show
Texas Bowl Weds. 9:00 ET Missouri vs. Texas Tigers (-) over Longhorns- Texas is excited to be in a Bowl game their first since 2014 and are happy about not having to leave the state. The Longhorns have 'owned' Missouri winning 15 of the last 17 meetings but fell at Missouri 17-5 in the 2011 their last meeting. The Tigers come in winners of six straight after starting 1-5 and have a quarterback Drew Lock when threw more TD passes (43) then Baker Mayfield. The Longhorns have been hit with injuries, suspensions and transfers and have a depleted secondary that Lock will exploit. Take MISSOURI! |
12-27-17 | Purdue +3.5 v. Arizona | Top | 38-35 | Win | 100 | 23 h 58 m | Show |
Foster Farms Bowl Weds. 8:80 ET Purdue vs Arizona Boilermakers (+) over Wildcats- Okay I'm sure the storyline here will be the emergence of Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate who put up phenomenal 'number's rushing and passing the last eight games winning the final two to become bowl eligible. Arizona won those two games surrendering 48 and 42 points and 34.1 points per game this season. Purdue on the other hand prides itself on its defense allowing just 19.3 points. Look for these riled up Boilermakers to focus on Tate and negate his impact. Take PURDUE! |
12-27-17 | Boston College +3 v. Iowa | 20-27 | Loss | -120 | 20 h 39 m | Show
Pinstripe Bowl Weds. 5:15 ET Boston College vs Iowa Hawkeyes over Eagles- I've had a couple of 'mood' swings concerning this game and I just believe my original instincts are correct. The Eagles come flying into Yankee Stadium with five wins in their last six games and with eight straight 'covers.' This matchup will have two clubs that will slug it out on the ground as Boston College averaging 224 per contest on the ground and yet had 24 passing TD and 23 rushing touchdowns. How's that for balance. The Hawkeyes are led by Nathen Stanley who threw for 25 TD's and just six interceptions but will get run down today. Take the EAGLES! |
12-26-17 | Kansas State v. UCLA +7 | 35-17 | Loss | -130 | 24 h 26 m | Show
Cactus Bowl- Phoenix, AZ 9:00 ET Kansas State vs U.C.L.A. Bruins (+) over Wildcats- What a year for UCLA...a year of turmoil and disappointments. The Bruins lost their coach and their All-American quarterback for substantial time during the season. But, on the field UCLA lives and dies by the pass and they can certainerly throw and catch it but have major problems stopping it. This is where Kansas State will fall short here and frankly I'll take any points they are willing to give me. The Wildcats are 1-5 ATS in their last six against the PAC-12. Take U.C.L.A.! |
12-26-17 | Northern Illinois +6 v. Duke | 14-36 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 36 m | Show
Quick Lane Bowl- Detroit, MI 5:15 ET Northern Illinois vs Duke Huskies (+) over Blue Devils- I've turned myself around on this contest because I don't want to be considered a hypocrite (we all are when picking sides) by giving you the Team with the better record when they aren't favored. But, there is one thing that bothers me about this game and that is the site. I believe that the Huskies will be more comfortable in Detroit. Because of all this take...NORTHERN ILLINOIS! |
12-26-17 | Utah -6.5 v. West Virginia | Top | 30-14 | Win | 100 | 17 h 7 m | Show |
Heart of Dallas Bowl- Dallas, TX 1:30 ET Utah vs West Virginia Utes (-) over Mountaineers- Here once again (Temple) we have a team with an inferior record favored over a better club and by a substantial amount. Utah is facing a losing record having lost to Stanford, USC and Washington by a combined seven points. West Virginia has the 16th rated offense and they are getting points here doesn't seem right to me. After closing the season with back-to-back losses to Texas and Oklahoma there doesn't seem to be much energy from the West Virginia faithful. The game being played the day after Christmas doesn't move them and ticket sales are slow. Utah has better motivation. Take the UTES! |
12-23-17 | Appalachian State v. Toledo -6.5 | 34-0 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 44 m | Show
Dollar General Bowl Sat. 7:00 ET Appalachian State vs Toledo Rockets (-) over Mountaineers- Same teams, different bowl and different result. Last season these two hook-up in the Camellia Bowl in Birmingham and this year they meet in Mobil. The Mountaineers won that clash 31-28 and now they come in Sun Belt co-champions while Toledo is the Mid-America Conference champ. The Rockets (11-2) have the MAC Player of the Year Logan Woodside who will be able to exploit Appalachian State's suspect defense as they averaged 39 points per game and will score more here. Take TOLEDO! |
12-23-17 | Army +7 v. San Diego State | Top | 42-35 | Win | 100 | 19 h 29 m | Show |
Armed Forces Bowl Sat. 3:30 ET Army vs. San Diego State Black Knights (+) over Aztecs- If this game were to be played in 'black and white' one might think he was watching college football in the 1950's. (except the players are huge now a days) Both clubs will run the ball and only put it in the air when necessary. The Army of course moves on the ground and led the nation in rushing at 356 per games while the Aztecs with Rashaad Penny leading the way individually with 2,027 yards. State holds a 2-0 series record winning last at West Point 42-7 in 2012...the Army remembers! Take the BLACK KNIGHTS! |
12-23-17 | Texas Tech +3 v. South Florida | Top | 34-38 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 54 m | Show |
Birmingham Bowl Sat. 12:00 ET Texas Tech vs. South Florida Red Raiders (+) over Bulls- Speed, speed and more speed that's what we will see on display here at Legion Field. Two of the nation's top offenses butt heads as No. 25 South Florida with their lightening quick backs average over 38 points per contest while the Red Raiders put up 34.3 out of the Big-12. Bulls first year coach Charlie Strong isn't happy playing in Birmingham after starting 7-0 as they dropped their final game to Central Florida after a loss to Houston in week eight. The Red Raiders head coach Kliff Kingsbury is going with senior Nic Shimonek and it will pay off here. Take TEXAS TECH! |
12-22-17 | Central Michigan v. Wyoming -3 | 14-37 | Win | 100 | 6 h 56 m | Show
Central Michigan vs. Wyoming 4:00 ET Chippewas (+) over Cowboys- Ha, what are to we to do now, a game between Cowboys and Indians...few protests in Idaho I would bet. When the season started what we heard about NCAA quarterbacks was about two guys from Los Angeles. The was talk of the USC and UCLA quarterbacks what was the potential of Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen. But, after an opening loss at Iowa and a crushing by Oregon Allen never seemed to show what he could do. He also missed the last two games because of a shoulder injury, but he will play here. The Chippewas rallied from down 17-0 to defeat Northern Illinois 31-24 to close the season with five straight wins and fall short here. Take WYOMING! |
12-21-17 | Temple -7 v. Florida International | Top | 28-3 | Win | 100 | 25 h 4 m | Show |
Temple vs. Florida International 8:00 ET Owls (-) over Panthers- I tried this before (unsuccessfully) where I laid points with a team with an inferior record and playing virtually a road game. The Temple Owls at 6-6 closed the season with three wins in their last four to become bowl eligible defeating the likes of Navy, Cincinnati and Tulsa while falling to undefeated Central Florida. FIU scored 104 points in their last two games victories over W. Kentucky 41-17 and U.Mass 63-45. Both teams put points on the board while giving four touchdowns per game. The points may be the difference but I don't believe so. Take TEMPLE! |
12-16-17 | Marshall v. Colorado State -3.5 | 31-28 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 37 m | Show
New Mexico Bowl Sat. 4:30 ET Marshall vs Colorado State Rams (-) over Thundering Herd- A pair of 7-5 clubs that have treated their backers in a totally different manner. Marshall roared out to a 5-1 ATS road record and enter 3-0 as a dog while the Rams come in 0-6 ATS in their last six overall. Colorado State has a bit more experience at University Stadium having played the Lobos on a regular basis and will be familiar with their surroundings. The Rams unlike their opponent 'murdered' their backers going 1-5 ATS on the road, and yet are a strong favorite here. Take COLORADO STATE! |
12-16-17 | Oregon -7 v. Boise State | Top | 28-38 | Loss | -105 | 29 h 16 m | Show |
Oregon vs. Boise State 3:30 ET Ducks (-) over Broncos- Okay here we go...the Bowl season kick-offs for 'us' with this top-rated winner that just doesn't make sense. Here comes Oregon into Las Vegas with a meager 7-5 record including just one road win in five tries going 1-4 ATS. Boise State (10-3) may be without running back Alex Mattison who has an ankle injury and the Ducks Royce Freeman (from Las Vegas will sit out to protect his draft status). The Ducks enter this contest with a 'new' head coach as Willie Taggart left after less then one year at the helm. Boise Sate has won the past two meetings and this time Oregon gets the ring. Take the DUCKS! |
12-16-17 | North Texas +7 v. Troy | 30-50 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 11 m | Show
New Orleans Bowl- Sat. 1:00 ET Troy vs. N. Texas State- These two are familiar with each other as their mutual Sun Belt experience that resulted in Troy's winning 8-of-10 meetings. North Texas was 7-1 in USA competition which I have to believe is a step (be it a small step) above the Sun Belt where the Trojans dominated on defense. Troy led the nation in Red Zone defense allowing only 23 scores in 39 attempts and they were 11th in scoring defense (17.5 points). But, the Trojans are just 2-7 ATS as favorites against CUSA and Mean Green is 7-2 ATS versus the Sun Belt and finally bowl favorites going 3-0 both SU and ATS are 1-11 ATS when facing a foe off a loss. A bit to chew but, (thanks ML) a winner. Take NORTH TEXAS STATE! |
12-09-17 | Army +3 v. Navy | 14-13 | Win | 100 | 15 h 8 m | Show
Army vs. Navy 3:00 ET Cadets (+) over Midshipman- This match-up pits the nation's top two rushing teams as the foot soldiers for the Army run for 368 yards per game while the Midshipman run for 348 per outing. Neither team likes to put the ball in the air too often as the Army has attempted just 60 passes on the season while the Navy has thrown the ball just 99 times. Last season the Cadets broke a 14-games losing streak in the series and they are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. The Army enters this fray with a better record at 8-3 straight-up while the Navy is just 6-5 but of course played much tougher competition. Both clubs are headed to bowl games which they would sacrifice for a win here. Saturday it's the ARMY! |
12-02-17 | Ohio State -6 v. Wisconsin | Top | 27-21 | Push | 0 | 30 h 37 m | Show |
Ohio State vs. Wisconsin 8:00 ET Buckeyes (-) over Badgers- As a fan I want so much for Wisconsin to win this game (except that I'm posting the Buckeyes) just so Alabama doesn't make it to the Championship Playoffs. The Badgers have the top defense in the country and have 12 wins without a loss but none of their wins have come against ranked teams. I don't believe that Ohio State can get to the CFP because of their 31-point 55-24 loss to Iowa. The last time these two met was in the Big Ten Championship game in 2014 when the Buckeyes crushed the Badgers 59-0. My final thoughts are that 'Vegas' has made the two-loss Buckeyes a strong favorite over an undefeated foe. Too much speed and too many options with fire-power for Whisky to contend with.Take OHIO STATE! |
12-02-17 | Georgia +3 v. Auburn | 28-7 | Win | 100 | 25 h 27 m | Show
Georgia vs Auburn 3:30 ET Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- I'm looking forward to this re-match more than any of the other games being played Saturday. Auburn without a doubt has been the 'best team' in the nation the last five weeks with wins over a pair of #1's Alabama last week and Georgia three weeks ago. Now, I feel good about this play as I was 3-0 in those three previous matchups and I know how hard it is too defeat a football team twice in the same season. The Tigers totally dominated the Bulldogs in the first meeting 40-17 and Georgia will make the proper adjustments. Take GEORGIA! |
12-02-17 | TCU +7.5 v. Oklahoma | 17-41 | Loss | -120 | 22 h 13 m | Show
Texas Christian vs Oklahoma 12:30 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Sooners- With Heisman hopeful quarterback Baker Mayfield leading the way Oklahoma has scored 30 points or better in 21 of their last 22 games with the one they feel short being 29 points against Texas Tech. I do believe that if they score 30 points again they will win the game but the TCU defense might have something to say about that. Even though the Sooners can score their point differential is the same out-scoring opponents by an average 20 points. Frogs coach Gary Patterson fells that all the 'pressure is on them' and will have his tough bunch ready. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
12-01-17 | Stanford +4 v. USC | Top | 28-31 | Win | 100 | 33 h 24 m | Show |
Stanford vs USC 8:00 ET Cardinal (+) over Trojans- i'm very pleased with this PAC-12 Championship matchup as 'we' posted the winner between these two the first time they played. These two met Sept. 9 with USC posting a 38-20 Megabucks Best Bet win for 'us' when the out-gained the Cardinal 624-342. The Trojans have won four straight since their 49-14 beating at Notre Dame while Stanford who has won eight of their last nine are off a win over the Fighting Irish with a short week before this championship game. The Cardinal usually play the Trojans tough winning seven of the last 10 and they will get the money here. Take STANFORD! |
