09-11-21 | Iowa v. Iowa State -4 | 27-17 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 23 m | Show
Power Play Iowa at Iowa State 4:30 ET Cyclones (-) over Hawkeyes- What has drawn my attention to this matchup is the way Iowa dominated Indiana last week (I totally misread that game) and that the Cyclones after a weak showing against BCS Northern Iowa are such a strong favorite. The Hawkeyes have won the last five meetings and now after am impressive 34-6 Big Ten they go on the road where they are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games as road underdogs. They has been heavy action and the Book maker will need the Cyclones and so will I. Take IOWA STATE! |
09-11-21 | Rutgers v. Syracuse +2 | 17-7 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 53 m | Show
Vegas Hotline Rutgers at Syracuse 2:00 ET Orange (+) over Scarlet Knights- Greg Schiano is back and so is Rutgers (1-0) as they opened the season with a 61-14 rout if Temple. The Scarlet Knights were 13-47 between coaching stints for Schiano while Syracuse had their worst season in school history going 1-10 losing their last five home games. But, the Orange opened with a win 29-9 at Ohio averaging 7-yards a rushing attempt while not committing a turnover. Going on past performances this line is way low and makes me believe that Syracuse is better than most think and are greatly improved. Take SYRACUSE! |
09-09-21 | Cowboys +9 v. Bucs | 29-31 | Win | 100 | 11 h 53 m | Show
Dallas at Tampa Bay 8:40 ET Cowboys (+) over Buccaneers- I know how bad Dallas looked in the preseason (0-4) and we can't be sure we even know if Dak or Elliot will play or if McCarthy can coach. Tampa Bay of course is a huge favorite as they return all 22 starters a first time feat for a SB champ and Brady was perfect in the preseason. Prescott is returning from a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle 11 month ago and hasn't played since. The 'action' should be heavy enough on the Buccaneers to make the 'points' a viable play. Boys' are 15-4 SU last 19 meetings and somehow, someway they should get the cash. Take DALLAS! |
09-06-21 | Louisville +10 v. Ole Miss | 24-43 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 0 m | Show
Louisville at Mississippi 8:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Rebels- There are plenty of storylines to follow from head coaches to player accomplishments on both sides of the ball. Mississippi's head coach Lane Kiffin enters his second season at Mississippi and he had the top offense in the SEC last season. Meanwhile Louisville's defense was ranked fourth in the ACC last year and have seven defensive starters returning. The Cardinals don't have no longer has the likes of Lamar Jackson as they have turned into a defensive club that was stingy giving up points but they do have the return of quarterback Malik Cunningham. Mississippi had the SEC's worst defense with a low of 16 sacks but, the Rebels led the SEC in rushing with and that's why the total is at 75.5. Take LOUISVILLE! |
09-05-21 | Notre Dame v. Florida State +7 | Top | 41-38 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Florida State 7:30 Seminoles (+) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame is once again ranked in the Top-10 although many doubt their ability to truly contend with the 'elites' in college football. The Fighting Irish have an experienced quarterback in Jack Coan who was beat out at Wisconsin by Graham Mertz after an early season injury. If any of you saw Mertz for the Badgers Saturday I have to wonder if this guy Mertz can win the job from Coan that Jack has a long way to go. Florida State was 3-6 last season with just two wins over FBS schools and are looking for a fresh start in coach Mike Norvell's second season. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
09-04-21 | Georgia v. Clemson -3 | 10-3 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 5 m | Show
SEC/ACC Power Play Georgia at Clemson 7:30 ET Tigers (-) over Bulldogs- Can anyone ever live up the billing and the headliner here is not perennial national contender Clemson it's the national perennial short-comers...Georgia. When I first saw this match-up I thought that the SEC Bulldogs plus the points would be a good take but I wasn't alone and it seems both 'pros' and public are in lock step. That has me moving toward Clemson who may have lost Trevor Lawrence but will just reload this season. JT Daniels the transfer from USC starts for Georgia and maybe we will see why he left. Take CLEMSON! |
09-04-21 | Indiana +4 v. Iowa | 6-34 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Big Ten Money Game winner Indiana at Iowa 3:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Hawkeyes- When the headlines for your football team is that you have a leading candidate is a center no matter how good he is I think what else you got. Indiana not know to be a football powerhouse won six games last season the most Big Ten wins they have had since 1987. The Hoosiers are led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., and they are 10-2 when he starts as he returns from a torn ACL. Indiana returns eight starters both on offense and defense and should win this one outright. Take INDIANA! |
09-04-21 | Alabama v. Miami-FL +19.5 | Top | 44-13 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
A-Play Megabucks Alabama vs. Miami-FL 3:30 ET Hurricanes (+) over Crimson Tide- Okay here's the gig...Alabama will be starting a Million-dollar quarterback that has yet to throw a pass at the NCAA level. The formidable Crimson Tide lost six offensive players in the first round and now matter what kind of system you have that is a lot of talent to replace. Miami who is 'Up and Coming' will have D'Eriq King back leading the attack and the 6th year senior has recovered from a torn ACL. Alabama is Big and Bad but that doesn't mean they would face some competition that stands up to them.Take MIAMI! |
09-03-21 | North Carolina v. Virginia Tech +6 | Top | 10-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show |
North Carolina at Virginia Tech 6:00 ET Hokies (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina has received plenty of 'hype' this year and for good reason as they return a prolific offense that put up 56 points against Virginia Tech last season. The Tar Heels with have three year starting quarterback Sam Howell leading the charge but they have to replace a pair of stellar running backs. The Hokies at 5-6 last season ending a 27-year bowl streak but the home team have won the past four meetings and VT is 6-3 at home in the series. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
09-02-21 | Ohio State v. Minnesota +14 | Top | 45-31 | Push | 0 | 31 h 55 m | Show |
Ohio State at Minnesota 8:00 ET Golden Gophers (+) over Buckeyes- I'm willing to take my possible lumps if I have to, but I can in no-way pass on the Golden Gophers here. To start with even after suffering a 52-24 beating by Alabama 'The Ohio State' will always be overrated especially starting the season and are always a popular public choice. Minnesota is in a great spot with many returning starters including a fourth year senior at quarterback and the Big Ten Running Back of the Year last season. Take the GOLDEN GOPHERS! |
08-28-21 | Nebraska -7 v. Illinois | 22-30 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 39 m | Show
Nebraska at Illinois 1:00 ET Fighting Illini (+) over Cornhuskers- So here comes Nebraska favored by a touchdown or less after four straight losing seasons under Scott Frost. The Cornhuskers were 3-5 in 2020 while Illinois was 2-6 but there have been changes in Champaign as former Big Ten coach at Wisconsin Brett Bielema and more recently at Arkansas has 17 returning seniors for the Illini. I believe the 'fresh' blood and attitude will aid Illinois but the Cornhuskers have a 4-year starter at quarterback as Scott Frost panics over his job. Take NEBRASKA! |
02-07-21 | Chiefs v. Bucs +3 | Top | 9-31 | Win | 100 | 32 h 39 m | Show |
Tampa Bay vs. Kansas City 6:20 ET Buccaneers (+) over Chiefs- This should be a great one with the possibility of a historic quarterback matchup and all that goes with it. By now you have read all the columns, newsletters and media reports covering every angle. All the 'experts' (we are all experts this Sunday) give their opinion with certainty and this of course is just silly. I'm surprised the 'price' has hung for so long at -3,-120 but I still expect it to rise by game time. You can bet this game with you guy or your heart but I say bet to WIN and start by following the money...and when it's this heavy...play against it! Take TAMPA BAY! |
01-24-21 | Bills v. Chiefs -3 | 24-38 | Win | 100 | 27 h 26 m | Show
Buffalo at Kansas City 6:40 ET Those 'Rat-Bastard' Chiefs were scalped against the 'number' last week as they blew scoring opportunity after opportunity and had to sweat out what should have been an easy victory. Of course the question here is the condition of QB Pat Mahomes who was knocked out of the Cleveland game in mid-third quarter and the Chiefs never scored again (that's my excuse...nah too many mistakes with or without Patrick). So. Here's Buffalo with a healthy Josh Allen and having won eight straight with that loss coming on an Arizona Hail-Mary. Hey, I didn't realized they had even met 10 times but the road team is 8-2 ATS and the Bills are 5-1 ATS at Kansas City while the Chiefs are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall. So, what, take KANSAS CITY! |
01-24-21 | Bucs +3.5 v. Packers | 31-26 | Win | 100 | 24 h 52 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Green Bay 3:05 ET What a great storyline the media is working with as Tom Brady plays in his 14th Conference Championship game setting franchise record for Tampa Bay with 40 TD passes and 4,633 yards. To balance the media attention with be the probable MVP Aaron Rodgers who threw two interceptions in the October meeting. The Buccaneers pounded the Packers 38-10 after spotting the 'Pack' an early 10-0 first quarter lead only is get swamped from that point. The last time Green Bay hosted a championship game was 2007 when Rodgers was Brett Favre's back-up and New England would lose to the same NY Giants in the Super Bowl...Fun huh! Take TAMPA BAY! |
01-17-21 | Bucs v. Saints -3 | 30-20 | Loss | -106 | 24 h 29 m | Show
Tampa Bay at New Orleans 6:40 ET Saints (-) over Buccaneers- Is there an emotional side for you in this matchup between MVP's and HOF QB's? There is for me and I hate to see either of these guys Tom Brady or Drew Brees lose here. Brady's numbers are a bit better than Brees but at a cost as Tampa Bay is 28th in rushing with 95 ypg while the Saints have better balance running for 142 ypg that will be going against the No. 1 rushing defense with the Bucs' art 81 ypg. Great matchup with New Orleans a winner twice already over Tampa and the Bucs and pull off the hat trick today. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
01-17-21 | Browns v. Chiefs -10 | Top | 17-22 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 29 m | Show |
Cleveland at Kansas City 3:05 ET Chiefs (-) over Browns- Boy, I LOVE this side! (Nothing is 100%...but man!) Last week having the Cleveland as 'our' Highest-Rated' Megabucks and the easy way they won has given me so much confidence in the Chiefs here. The Browns were never headed as the first snap of the game resulted in a TD for them and they didn't have to do anything but fall on the ball. A gift from Kansas City is NOT going to happen here. Things have been great for the Browns and I thank them for all the winners they provided to us this season but like the 'Rolling Stones' sang 'It's all over now...!' Take KANSAS CITY |
01-16-21 | Ravens +2.5 v. Bills | 3-17 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 46 m | Show
Baltimore at Buffalo 8:15 ET Bills (-) over Ravens- The Ravens came through for 'us' as favorites on the road last week taking down the Titans 20-13 a game they trailed 10-0 before dominating play. Lamar Jackson shook the 'money off his back' finally winning a playoff game running for 136 of his teams 236 yards as he also had plenty of help. What it comes down to here is, can the Bills stop Baltimore's power rushing game and they haven't been able to do it ranking 20th against the run, while their No. 2 offense is against the Ravens defense. Weather shouldn't be a factor and I like Allen's body language. But, it won't matter! Take BALTIMORE! |
01-16-21 | Rams +7 v. Packers | Top | 18-32 | Loss | -120 | 24 h 38 m | Show |
L.A. Rams at Green Bay 4:35 ET Rams (+) over Packers- Coming off the winner with the LA Rams over the Seahawks but it didn't quite go as I had thought. Yes, we won both the side and total but I was expecting and hoping that John Wolford would get the playing time but he was in juried early and No. 1 QB Jared Goff played and will play despite an injured thumb. There is no doubt who will start at QB for the Packers and if Aaron Rodgers doesn't get the MVP the league has lost all credibility and he is tough to beat. Green Bay is 6-2 ATS in their last eight playoff games and are 7-3 ATS as home favorites. They are also 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meeting including 6-0 ATS in the last six. But these are different Rams who are 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 NFC games and 6-1 ATS against teams with winning records and 6-2 ATS as road underdogs. Take LA RAMS! |
01-11-21 | Ohio State v. Alabama -8.5 | Top | 24-52 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Alabama 5:00 ET Buckeyes (+) over Crimson Tide- Ohio State had their best game of the year using Dabo's 'Bulletin-board' material to dismantle Clemson and established that they belong here. Alabama's 31-14 win over Notre Dame was never in doubt as they scored the first time they had the ball and led 14-0 after having had two possessions and controlled the outcome from that point. The Tide may welcome wide receiver Jaylen Waddle back to saddle up with Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith as if QB Mac Jones didn't have enough ammo with Najee Harris (27 TD's) running the ball. OSU QB Justin Fields is supposed to be banged-up but I'm sure he will be out there. Take ALABAMA! |
01-10-21 | Browns +6 v. Steelers | Top | 48-37 | Win | 101 | 27 h 49 m | Show |
Cleveland at Pittsburgh 8:15 ET Browns (+) over Steelers- No surprises here at these two rivals meet for the third time this season and the second week in-a-row. These two split the season series with Pittsburgh getting the money in both games and four of the last five with the home team going 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. No matter what issues I read about concerning Cleveland as to players, coaches and not being able to use their facilities the line has not moved. The Steelers were 11-0 and have dropped four of five and I believe have been exposed and just won't have enough to get by here. Browns ground game will be the difference. Take CLEVELAND! |
01-10-21 | Bears +10.5 v. Saints | 9-21 | Loss | -120 | 23 h 12 m | Show
Chicago at New Orleans 4:40 ET Bears (+) over Saints- This may be the toughest call of them all as Chicago backed-into the playoffs losing to the Packers at home in their final game last Sunday while the Saints were just taking care of business routing Carolina 33-7. The Bears offense had come to life prior to that loss scoring over 25 points in five straight games topping 30 four times. On November 1st the Bears hosted New Orleans (-5.5) who won in OT 26-23. The Numbers don't look good for the Bears as they are 2-6 ATS in their last eight playoff games and they are 6-18 atS after a double-digit loss and they are 0-6 ATS in their last six on the road against teams with winning records. New Orleans on the other hand is 6-1 ATS in their last seven as favorites and they are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take CHICAGO! |
01-10-21 | Ravens -3 v. Titans | 20-13 | Win | 100 | 20 h 38 m | Show
Baltimore at Tennessee 1:05 ET Ravens (+) over Titans- From the moment I saw this 'line' I was befuddled over the fact that a division winner Tennessee was made a home underdog to a lower seeded and not a slight favorite either. Granted The Ravens come in hot like last year when they had won 12 straight only to get upset by these same Titans in Baltimore. The trends are ridiculous in favor of the home dog in this spot. It doesn't seem right that Baltimore is favored as they are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings but they are 6-0 ATS in their last six road playoff games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 as road favorites and the titans are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four home playoff games. Take BALTIMORE! |
01-09-21 | Bucs v. Washington Football Team +8 | 31-23 | Push | 0 | 25 h 43 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Washington 8:15 ET DC Swampers (+) over Buccaneers- My first impression here was that Washington 'had' to be the side and I found every reason to support my opinion and I did find some. For example the underdog is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings and Washington is 4-1 ATS in their last five games as dogs. They also stake claim to the No. 2 overall defense allowing just 306 ypg and surrender just 20.7 points per game and are 5-1 in Alex Smith starts. Tampa Bay has the third ranked offense scoring 30.8 ppg led by the NFL's all-time leader in playoff wins (30) and TD passes (73) with nine Super Bowl starts. Take WASHINGTON! |
01-09-21 | Rams +3.5 v. Seahawks | Top | 30-20 | Win | 100 | 22 h 10 m | Show |
L.A. Rams at Seattle 4:40 ET Rams (+) over Seahawks- This could be the most difficult of all to call because of the quarterback situation with the Rams. Starter Jared Goff was replaced by first time starter John Wolford who guided LA to an 18-7 victory over Arizona. Seattle defeated the Rams here two weeks ago with Goff as a starter 20-9 although the Seahawks were held to 292 yards total offense. LA has the NFL's No.1 defense hands down in points, yards , FD's and more. Seattle is 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings and 11-5 ATS as hosts. But, Seattle is 1-7 ATS following a SU win and 1-5 versus the NFC while the Rams are 20-7-1 ATS against the NFC and are 5-2 ATS in last seven as road underdogs. I expect an outright victory...take the RAMS! |
01-09-21 | Colts +6.5 v. Bills | 24-27 | Win | 100 | 18 h 34 m | Show
Indianapolis at Buffalo 1:05 ET Colts (+) over Bills- So now everyone is overwhelmed by the Colts running game because Jonathan Taylor ran for a franchise record 253 yards last week but it was against Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Buffalo just keeps stampeding the opposition and have won 10 of 11 with their lone loss a hail Mary at Arizona . A game they covered by the way. Indianapolis gets ready (up) for the better competition as they are 15-7 ATS against teams with a winning record but only 2-5 ATS in their last seven road playoff games. The Bills like I said playing great ball and are 8-0 ATS in their last eight overall and are 3-0-1 ATS in last four meetings in at home. Take the COLTS! |
01-03-21 | Washington Football Team v. Eagles +4 | 20-14 | Loss | -107 | 28 h 52 m | Show
Washington at Philadelphia 8:20 ET Eagles (+) over DC Swampers- Win and you are IN! Sounds easy enough but for Washington it isn't going to be so easy. Philadelphia is the defending NFC East champs and the have had an injury riddled season as well as player failures. The Guys from DC have the No. 4 ranked defense in the NFL but will be scurrying around looking for a healthy quarterback. After giving Haskins his outright release Washington will go most like return to injured veteran Alex Smith and despite his heroic comeback has been removed twice from games this season because of injuries and his status is still unclear. (He must be ready or they would have keep Haskins at least one more week...no?) It won't matter as Football Team is 1-4 ATS as favorites and 6-14 ATS following a SU loss. The Eagles are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings as hosts and they are 4-0 ATS in their last four as home underdogs. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
01-03-21 | Packers v. Bears +4.5 | 35-16 | Loss | -120 | 24 h 42 m | Show
Green Bay at Chicago 4:25 ET Bears (+) over Packers- Win and you after IN! After starting 5-1 Chicago didn't believe that they could be in this spot and after losing six-in-a-row they still can't believe that they are in this spot! Green Bay can clinch the No. 1 overall seed with a win and a single bye in each conference is huge. Aaron Rodgers the rightful MVP this season is going to play but so will Mitch Trubisky and he's led an offense scoring 30, 36, 33 and 41 in the past four weeks. Take CHICAGO! |
01-03-21 | Raiders v. Broncos +3 | 32-31 | Win | 100 | 24 h 34 m | Show
Las Vegas at Denver 4:25 ET Broncos (+) over Raiders- The last time these two met in October the Las Vegas was a high roller and were riding high at 6-3 and talking about the playoffs. Well, after losing five of the last six with their only win coming on a Hail-Mary victory over the New York Jets they be walking the strip. The Raiders are depressed and despondent and have placed seven players on the injury list and they have other that missed practice this week. Note that the home team is 7-2 ATS in this series and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take DENVER! |
01-03-21 | Saints v. Panthers +5.5 | 33-7 | Loss | -109 | 24 h 33 m | Show
New Orleans at Carolina 4:25 ET Panthers (+) over Saints- In a convoluted way New Orleans is still live for the No. 1 overall seed and a bye for the playoffs if...Packers lose and Seahawks wins. Carolina has played much better than the record indicates and they have dealt with major injuries the entire season. Last week as 'our' Megabucks winner the Panthers dominated Washington in their park and return home where they won just twice over Arizona 21-16 and Detroit 20-0. The thing I like best is that have not quit and they play tough defense at home. Note that Carolina is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the underdog is 11-2 in the last 13 meetings and the panthers are 8-1 in last nine as underdogs. Take CAROLINA! |
01-03-21 | Cowboys v. Giants +1.5 | 19-23 | Win | 100 | 20 h 21 m | Show
Dallas at New York Giants 1:00 ET Giants (+) over Cowboys- The winner here will end up the NFC East champs if Washington loses Sunday night at Philadelphia. If the Giants win and manage to get into the playoffs it will be with the worst record at 6-10 for a playoff team to qualify. The previous worst record for a team getting in was Seattle in 2010 as they were 7-9 and Carolina was 7-8-1 in 2014. The Giants have lost seven straight to Dallas including a 37-34 game this year when New York committed crucial errors in the last two minutes and the Cowboys scored twice to steal the win. This time they get it done! Take the NEW YORK GIANTS! |
01-03-21 | Jets v. Patriots -3 | 14-28 | Win | 101 | 20 h 15 m | Show
New York Jets at New England 1:00 ET Patriots (-) over Jets- New England is finishing the season under .500 for the first time since 2000 and are missing the playoffs for just the second time in the past 20 years. Meanwhile, the Jets are celebrating having posted two wins on the season and good for them but that's all they are going to get! Understand this and I know that you do, Bill Belichick doesn't like to lose anytime and he will start Cam Newton in the final game of the year knowing he has no future with the club, but he wants that win this week especially after their performance Monday night against Buffalo. Take the PATRIOTS! |
01-03-21 | Steelers v. Browns -9 | 22-24 | Loss | -113 | 20 h 4 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Cleveland 1:00 ET Browns (-) over Steelers- They have got to be kidding! The bookmakers have installed Cleveland who has yet to qualify for the playoffs and need a win as double-digit favorites over arch rival Pittsburgh. Now, we understand that Big Ben will sit and I imagine many others will as well. But, it looks like Tomlin is sacrificing this game and they players aren't going to risk anything bad happening. The Browns will look to atone for their last to the Jets last week and even if they win are not guaranteed a playoff spot. Steelers who started 11-0 have dropped three of four and another loss here is almost certain. Take CLEVELAND! |
01-02-21 | North Carolina v. Texas A&M -7 | 27-41 | Win | 100 | 27 h 41 m | Show
North Carolina vs Texas A&M 8:00 ET Tar Heels (+) over Aggies- All season long I've saying that Aggies just don't pass the eye test and are not as impressive as the media makes them out to be. But, I may be wrong as as they are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games as the only game the failed to cover was against Alabama 52-24 and I believe that's when I soured on them. North Carolina has one of the top offense in college football scoring 43 points per game while averaging 557 yards per game including 250 rushing and 300 passing. After scoring 62 points in their final game against Miami where they ran for 554 yards the Heels will find the going a little tougher here. Take TEXAS A&M! |
01-02-21 | Oregon +5 v. Iowa State | Top | 17-34 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 42 m | Show |
Oregon vs Iowa State 4:00 ET Ducks (+) over Cyclones- Wally Pipp felt ill took himself out of the lineup and never played again as Lou Gehrig did the next 2,130 games. Well, the Washington Huskies felt ill and the Oregon Ducks filled in quite nicely in the Pac-12 Championship game defeating USC 31-24 and they are still playing. Iowa State recovered after an opening week loss to Louisiana-Lafayette winning 8-of-9 before falling in the Big-12 Championship game to Oklahoma 27-21. Like most Pac-12 teams the Ducks struggle out of conference 5-11-1 ATS last 17 but are 25-9 ATS playing on grass. Although Iowa State is 16-7 ATS after a SU loss they are 2-7 ATS in non-conference games and 0-6 ATS at neutral sites. Take OREGON! |
01-02-21 | Kentucky -2.5 v. NC State | 23-21 | Loss | -107 | 19 h 33 m | Show
N.C. State vs Kentucky 12:00 ET Wildcats over Wolfpack- This has got to be the 'Don't Make Sense' Game of the Year! Let's me set the table here if you will. N.C. State closed their season with four straight wins, they are ranked No. 23 and are 8-3 on the season. Saturday the face a 4-6 Kentucky team that has no offense as they average just 311 ypg and just 124 yards passing. The Wolfpack went 2-3 against nationally ranked teams while the Wildcats were 0-4. I do see an issue with State as they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against the SEC and Kentucky is 7-0 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. Take the WILDCATS! |
01-01-21 | Ohio State +7.5 v. Clemson | Top | 49-28 | Win | 100 | 27 h 39 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Clemson 8:00 ET Buckeyes (+) over Tigers- No. 11, yup, that where Dabo Swinney ranks the Buckeyes and if you don't think that statement wasn't billboard material think again. The Tigers' head coach wasn't actually saying he thinks they are the 11th beat team in the country he was stating that you shouldn't be playing for the NCAA Championship with a five-game regular season resume. I understand that Trevor Lawrence is who we think he is but the Buckeyes will have him in their sights. Ohio State looked lack luster and even sluggish in the Big Ten Championship game against Northwestern and we find out for good reason. The last time these two met OSU had a 16-0 lead 25 minutes into the game and Clemson closed strong winning 29-23. This time the Buckeyes get it done a full 60 minutes. Take OHIO STATE! |
01-01-21 | Notre Dame +20 v. Alabama | 14-31 | Win | 100 | 22 h 19 m | Show
Notre Dame vs Alabama 4:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Crimson Tide- The Fighting Irish did exactly as we thought would do against Clemson as we laid -10 and were never threatened and in the meantime Alabama was cruising along scoring 49.7-points a game and going 11-0. Georgia was the only team to have a half time lead against the Tide and the Crimson blew out the Bulldogs halfway through the 3rd quarter winning and 'covering' 41-24 as a 6-point favorite. We acknowledge how powerful Alabama but still believe this year's Notre Dame team has reached a higher tier and I expect a great effort here. Take NOTRE DAME! |
01-01-21 | Auburn +4 v. Northwestern | 19-35 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 19 m | Show
Auburn vs Northwestern 1:00 ET Tigers (+) over Wildcats- Auburn was one of the other teams that I looked to 'fade' most of the season as the media had made a big deal of QB Bo Nix who was a poor man's Tim Tebow. Northwestern is off the Big Ten championship game loss to Ohio State 22-10 after leading 10-6 at the half. I wonder if losing like that and blowing a chance at the title if their heart is in this matchup. In a news update Auburn fired head coach Gus Malzahn and defensive coordinator Kevin Steel as interim until former Boise Head coach Bryan Harsin takes over. Auburn is 6-1 ATS in their last seven non-conference games while although the Wildcats are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games overall they are 1-6-1 ATS out of conference. Take AUBURN! |
01-01-21 | Cincinnati v. Georgia -7 | 21-24 | Loss | -120 | 18 h 20 m | Show
Georgia vs Cincinnati 12:00 ET Bulldogs (-) over Bearcats- All season long I have been riding the Bearcats and singing their praises to anyone would listen and at the same time all I did was bad mouth the Bulldogs. Well, Georgia made an adjustment and changed quarterbacks and started JT Daniels the USC transfer and they have been a different team ever since winning all three starts three scoring 31, 45 and 49 points in consecutive weeks. When I first heard of this bowl matchup I was silly with glee, it was the meeting I wanted and I said that Cincinnati would probably win the game outright. But, as it sets up No. 8 undefeated (9-0) Cincinnati is a touchdown underdog to No. 9 (7-2) Georgia. This is a Bearcats team that has beaten three ranked teams and yet the the oddsmaker likes the Bulldogs. Most season's I would have stuck with the non-Big-5 team but the nation's media to pumping Cincinnati to help aid the expansion of the playoffs. Too much attention on the upstarts...take GEORGIA! |
12-31-20 | West Virginia -6.5 v. Army | Top | 24-21 | Loss | -117 | 19 h 57 m | Show |
West Virginia vs Army 4:00 ET Mountaineers (-) over Cadets- Having been a former platoon Sergeant in the US Army it pains me to even write this up. Fort Campbell, KY and Fort Sill, OK stand proud as are both coming under fire for it's past policies and practices. After defeating Navy and Air Force on consecutive Saturdays to end the season the Cadets got this opportunity when Tennessee developed issues. So, the Army who had packed up their gear and ended their season had to unpack and start the 'show' up for one more game when this invite came along. Meanwhile, West Virginia hasn't missed a beat continuing to practice through all the crap. I could go on about schedules trends and such but it still comes down the the Cadets having ended a satisfying season (9-2 SU) and then end up getting drafted to play. Take the MOUNTAINEERS! |
12-31-20 | Ball State +10 v. San Jose State | 34-13 | Win | 100 | 17 h 56 m | Show
Ball State vs San Jose State 2:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Spartans- No. 22 ranked San Jose State is in un familiar terrible just being in a bowl game to start with and favored at that. Why so you ask. Well the Spartans were just 3-22 in Brent Brennan first two years as coach and improved to 5-7 last season and this year the perfect storm and they are 7-0 SU and 6-0-1 ATS. Ball State pulled off one the conference title games biggest upsets when the shut down Buffalo in the MAC and they are 7-0 in their n;last seven games as underdogs and 11-5 ATS in non-conference games. SJS has been playing well the last two seasons going 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games overall and are 15-5-1 ATS against teams with winning records but...they are 3-8 ATS out of conference. Take BALL STATE! |
12-31-20 | Mississippi State +1.5 v. Tulsa | 28-26 | Win | 100 | 15 h 56 m | Show
Tulsa vs Mississippi State 12:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Golden Hurricane- Here we go with another losing team involved in a bowl game as 3-7 (Yup) Mississippi State makes their 11th straight bowl appearances in the Armed Forces Bowl. Tulsa (6-2) last played postseason in the Miami Bowl in 2015 and had won just nine games total in the previous three seasons. The Golden Hurricanes were 'game' in the AAC title game against undefeated Cincinnati 27-24. The Bulldogs opened the Mike Leach era with a win over LSU 44-34 and then lost seven of eight before closing with av 51-32 win over Missouri. With this line where it is the 'books' think that Tulsa is more just a 'Golden Shower.' Somehow...it's MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
12-30-20 | Florida +6 v. Oklahoma | Top | 20-55 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 56 m | Show |
Florida vs Oklahoma 8:00 ET Gators (+) over Sooners- In this the most unusual of seasons in all sports the Cotton Bowl which set up as one of the best games of the entire bowl venue has been tainted by defections. Florida and Oklahoma ranked 7 and 6 were to have a battle matching epic offenses that were running on all 16 cylinders. Both quarterbacks Florida's Kyle Trask and the Sooners Spencer Rattler are exceptional as the Gator senior has 43 TD passes (10 more than any other QB) and the red-shirt Sooners freshman one of the nations top recruits and he has completed 68% of his passes with 25 TD passes averaging 280 ypg. But, as you must have noticed by now the line which had the Gators favored and climbing to minus-3 has turned and jumped to Oklahoma -3 and then -4, 4.5, 5.5 and 6 and it will keep climbing until kickoff. The reason for this is that a number of Florida receivers will not be playing. If it's true that can be a big blow to the Gators, but that's how stars are born. So, we will have Florida and wait as long as, we can before making a play. Take FLORIDA! |
12-29-20 | Colorado v. Texas -7 | Top | 23-55 | Win | 100 | 25 h 47 m | Show |
Texas vs Colorado 9:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Buffaloes- No. 20 Texas closed their season with a rush winning four of their last five heading into their fourth straight bowl under Tom Herman and they are 3-0 the past three bowls. Under first year coach Karl Dorrell Colorado was the surprise of the Pac-12 opening the season with an impressive win over UCLA but finished on a down note losing at home to Utah. The price is high to me as Texas is just 1-3-1 ATS in last five as favorites although they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. Buffs are only 3-8 ATS after a SU loss (before Dorrell) but also 5-2 ATS out of conference. Take TEXAS! |
12-28-20 | Bills v. Patriots +7.5 | Top | 38-9 | Loss | -124 | 24 h 5 m | Show |
New England at Buffalo 8:15 ET Patriots (+) over Bills- It has just got to be! With Buffalo (11-3) having already clinched the AFC East could be looking past the Patriots toward the playoffs but having won the Division for the first time in 21 years (1999) they may want to made a statement to New England who has dominated the AFC East since Belichick's arrival. Getting Cam Newton to replace Tom Brady was a one-year experiment that just didn't work as he has eight games without a touchdown pass and New England has to rebuild from the bottom up. I'm really impressed with Josh Allen this season and his top receiver Stephon Diggs but, I can see the Bills taking their foot off the gas while the Pats play for pride. Take NEW ENGLAND |
12-27-20 | Broncos +3 v. Chargers | 16-19 | Push | 0 | 16 h 59 m | Show
Chip's AFC High Roller Winner Denver at L.A. Chargers 4:05 ET Broncos (+) over Chargers- I'm a little surprised that this line is as low as it is even tho these two clubs have the same record 5-9. My concept of these two is that Justin Herbert is better than Drew Lock and the Chargers should be a stronger favorite. But, remember, no matter what you think for the most part that guy, the entity that sets the line knows more than 'we' do and they always will. LA opened under a field goal will probably lose by that amount today. Denver has been consistent not having two bad outing in a row as they are 8-1 ATS after a loss and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine meetings in Los Angeles and the road team is 13-6-2 ATS in the last 21 meetings. Take DENVER! |
12-27-20 | Panthers +1 v. Washington Football Team | Top | 20-13 | Win | 100 | 16 h 18 m | Show |
Carolina at Washington 4:05 ET Panthers (+) over 'Those Guys'- Carolina is one of those team that have played much better than their record shows as they fought through injuries to key personnel. The Panthers have been especially under-rated on the road as they are 2-5 SU but get this 6-1 ATS. So, here we have division leader Washington who must win to stay in playoff contention only a 1-point favorite at home. It just looks the 'books' know Haskins can't cut it. Cats are 8-1 in last nine as road underdogs while the Football Team is 1-4 ATS as favorites and 6-13 ATS after a SU loss. Take CAROLINA! |
12-27-20 | Giants +10 v. Ravens | 13-27 | Loss | -113 | 13 h 2 m | Show
Chip's NFL Power Play Winner New York Giants at Baltimore 1:00 ET Giants (+) over Ravens- With their mid-season lull behind them the Ravens have won three straight making a charge for the playoffs which is out of their control right now as Miami held the tie-breakers going into this weekend. New York is one-game behind Washington but own all tie-breakers and QB Daniel Jones returns after sitting out 2-of-3 weeks. The Giants play to ugh when you would least expect it as they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine as underdogs and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 as road dogs. Baltimore has some glowing trends but I'm not going to give them because I want no doubts about playing the Giants here. Take NEW YORK! |
12-27-20 | Bears v. Jaguars +8.5 | 41-17 | Loss | -107 | 13 h 59 m | Show
Chicago at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Bears- Wouldn't it something if the Jaguars win this game on the field and lose out on the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. It could happen because the Bears are such frauds as their defense is mediocre and their offense even after a good month still isn't in the top half of the league. Chicago is still 'live' for the playoffs recovering from a six-game losing streak and have won their last two while Jacksonville looks to break a 13-game losing streak and will give veteran Mike Glennon some playing time and it might help. Take the JAGUARS! |
12-27-20 | Browns v. Jets +7 | 16-23 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show
Cleveland at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Browns- Cleveland currently has a pair of distinctions that are NFL streaks of longevity and futility as they have been shut out of the playoffs longer than any other club and they are along with the Lions the only original merger teams that have not made it to a Super Bowl. The Browns haven't been in the playoffs since 2002 and are 10-4 but still need to win and have either Miami, Baltimore or Indianapolis lose. Covid has hit the Browns and four of their receivers will be missing but with a taste of victory being so sweet for the jets last week they want to do it again. Take NEW YORK JETS! |
12-26-20 | Dolphins v. Raiders +2.5 | 26-25 | Win | 100 | 6 h 43 m | Show
Miami at Las Vegas 8:00 ET Raiders (+) over Dolphins- Las Vegas has been horrid that past six weeks with their only win coming against the Jets with a Hail Mary pass on the final play of the game. Miami knows that they have to win out in the AFC top have a shot at the playoffs and consider this encounter a 'play-in game.' The Raiders lost QB Derek Carr early last week with a calf strain and his status is questionable. Marcus Mariota filled in and looked the best he has in three years and says it's all about him being healthy. In a surprise take LAS VEGAS! |
12-26-20 | 49ers +5 v. Cardinals | Top | 20-12 | Win | 101 | 12 h 0 m | Show |
San Francisco at Arizona 4:30 ET '49ers (+) over Cardinals- San Francisco has had some kind of year and I mean in the NFL not what's going on in their streets but the results have been similar a total disaster. They were five minutes away from winning the Super Bowl and now they will try and be a spoiler against Arizona who can clinch a Wild Card spot with a win here. With backup QB Mullins going down last week the Niners signed Josh Rosen but C.J. Beathard will start and they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as underdogs. How much of a road game this is can be questioned as San Francisco play their home game here now. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
12-26-20 | Western Kentucky +4 v. Georgia State | 21-39 | Loss | -112 | 10 h 18 m | Show
Western Kentucky and Georgia State 3:30 ET Hilltoppers (+) mover Panthers- It's Conference USA rep Western Kentucky (5-6) against the Sun Belt's Georgia State who is making their fourth bowl appearance since entering the conference 11 years ago. The Hilltoppers dropped four of their first five against bowl teams losing the UAB, liberty Louisville and Marshall while Georgia State's schedule was not as rigorous. WKU is 39-19 ATS in their last 58 as underdogs while the Panthers are 3-8 ATS L-11 against teams with losing records. Take WESTERN KENTUCKY! |
12-25-20 | Vikings +7 v. Saints | 33-52 | Loss | -115 | 22 h 43 m | Show
Chip's NFC 'Stand-Alone' Winner Minnesota at New Orleans- Two weeks ago the Saints were the No. 1 seed in the NFC but have now dropped their last two games for the first time in three seasons and trail Green Bay for the overall top seed but can clinch the Division with a single victory. Last week Drew Brees returned to the lineup for New Orleans and despite everything that you have have heard he didn't pass 'my' eye test as his passes didn't have the same 'zip' or velocity and his accuracy wasn't all that good either. Minnesota (6-8) has been a hard team to figure this season and this week they have nine defensive players on injury report. Vikings have a small chance for the playoffs if they win out and Arizona loses their final two. Minny is 38-14 ATS after a straight-up loss and 4-1 ATS in last five road games while NO is 4-1 ATS in last five as favorites and are 9-2 ATS against teams with losing records. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-25-20 | Marshall +4.5 v. Buffalo | Top | 10-17 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 39 m | Show |
Marshall vs. Buffalo 2:30 ET Thundering Herd (+) over Bulls- Both these non-Big 5 clubs started the season with prolonged winning streaks as Marshall was 7-0 before getting pasted 20-0 by Rice (they also lost to UAB 22-13 in their next game) while Buffalo was 5-0 entering their MAC Championship game where they were bested by Ball State 38-28 last Friday. The Bulls have the flash with Jaret Patterson who ran for 301 and 409-yard in back-to-back games but was removed in the final quarter as he injured his right knee. The Thundering Herd are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 as underdogs and 7-1 ATS in their last eight bowl games while Buffalo is 1-7 ATS at neutral sites. Take MARSHALL! |
12-24-20 | Hawaii v. Houston -9.5 | Top | 28-14 | Loss | -111 | 17 h 8 m | Show |
Hawaii vs Houston 3:30 ET Cougars (-) over Rainbow Warriors- How 'bout diss, the New Mexico Bowl is being played in Frisco, Texas somewhere in that huge state near Dallas. Houston (3-4) has dropped their three after having eight games postponed or cancelled is 19-7 against Mountain West teams and they want to finish the season at .500. Hawaii who is used to playing and hosting their own bowl game will be playing a bowl game on the mainland for just the third time. The Rainbows defeated the Cougars 54-48 in 3OT's in the 2003 Hawaii Bowl and the cats have been waiting for revenge ever since (Ya think?)! Aside the Islanders are 17-41 ATS against teams with losing records and 19-46 ATS after an ATS loss. Houston who plays on field turf is 20-8 on natural grass. Take HOUSTON! |
12-22-20 | Central Florida +6.5 v. BYU | 23-49 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 49 m | Show
Central Florida vs. B.Y.U. 7:00 ET Knights (+) over Cougars- The most commendable thing that took place during this weirdest of all college football when undefeated BYU accepted a opportunity to travel to play undefeated Coastal Carolina with just 48 hours notice after COVID cancellations. So, the Cougars on a bye week with no plans to play took on the challenge and were handed the defeat that squashed their hopes. BYU's QB Zach Wilson brings the No. 8 offense into south Florida and he's looking forward to playing in warm weather. But, he will be up against Gabriel Dillon who leads the No. 2 overall offense with 586 yards a game including 373 yards passing. Cougars have a much stronger defense No. 9 allowing joust 309 YPG while the Knights surrender 474ypg and 31.4 ppg while BYU allows just 14.6ppg. But, this is a bowl game in the South. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
12-22-20 | Tulane v. Nevada +2.5 | 27-38 | Win | 100 | 17 h 21 m | Show
Tulane vs Nevada 3:30 ET Wolf Pack (+) over Green Wave- After starting 5-0 Nevada stumbled to the finish line losing two of their last three including a loss to San Jose State in the MWC Championship game. Tulane came from 2-4 to win 4-of-5 and finish 6-5 but just 3-5 in the AAC. Their will be no fans in attendance but the reception in Idaho will be cold enough for the Louisiana based Green Wave. Nevada is 0-3 in this 'Spud' Bowl having lost last season to Ohio and before that to Miami and Maryland. This time behind Carson Strong the MWC Player of the Year the Wolf Pack get the gravy in the Potato Bowl. Take NEVADA! |
12-20-20 | Browns v. Giants +6.5 | Top | 20-6 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 54 m | Show |
Cleveland at New York Giants 8;20 ET Giants (+) over Browns- Daniel Jones is out and Colt McCoy is in for the Giants and there will be no homecoming or welcoming party here for Odell Beckham. New York had their 4-game win streak stop by Arizona last week and they were never in it while Cleveland had their own 4-game win streak stopped by the Ravens on Monday night. The Browns (9-4) are much improved but are still 4-9-1 ATS after a SU loss while the Giants are 6-0 ATS after an ATS loss and 7-1 ATS in their last eight as underdogs and 4-1 ATS in the last four meetings. Take NEW YORK GIANTS! |
12-20-20 | Chiefs v. Saints +3 | 32-29 | Push | 0 | 15 h 59 m | Show
Kansas City at New Orleans 4:25 ET Saints (+) over Chiefs- So, quarterback Drew Brees is returning action after missing four games of which the Saints won three. Kansas City (12-1) has clinched their fifth straight AFC West title and New Orleans needs a win to clinch their fourth straight NFC South title so there should be a greater need for for the Saints. KC 0-5 ATS in their last five overall while the Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as a home underdog and 21-6 ATS in their last 27 games as an underdog. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
12-20-20 | Texans +7.5 v. Colts | 20-27 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show
Chip's AFC Top-Rated Money Game Winner Houston at Indianapolis l1:00 ET Texans (+) over Colts- How, how can we possibly take Houston in this spot despite what we have seen in recent performances to which I say remember that no team is as bad one week to the next and no team is a good one week to the next. Indianapolis have been and looks dominate and the Texans look like they have already quit on the season but...they have not. These two met two weeks ago as Deshaun Watson fumbled from the one yard line in the final minute as the road team is now 10-2-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings. Take HOUSTON! |
12-20-20 | Bucs v. Falcons +7 | 31-27 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show
Chip's NFC Power Play Winner Tampa Bay at Atlanta 1:00 ET Falcons (+) over Buccaneers- Tampa Bay (8-5) is sitting in the 6th spot as a playoff wildcard after having played their last three at home and are taking to the road for the first time in five weeks. Atlanta is 4-4 under interim coach Raheem Morris although his game decisions under pressure have been questioned especially after the way the Falcons' blew the game to the Chargers last week. The Buccaneers are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight-up win while the 'Dirty-Birds' are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 as home underdogs.Take ATLANTA! |
12-20-20 | Patriots +1.5 v. Dolphins | 12-22 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 35 m | Show
Chip's AFC Vegas Hotline Winner New England at Miami 1:00 ET Patriots (+) over Dolphins- Here we go again, or at least we should hear it because it happens time and again and I am talking about what Bill Belicheck does to rookie quarterbacks as witnessed by Justin Herbert three weeks ago in the Patriots 45-0 win over the Chargers. Poor Tua will try and overcome what he knows is coming but until you see it you will be exploited by the master. Take NEW ENGLAND! |
12-19-20 | Panthers +8 v. Packers | 16-24 | Push | 0 | 19 h 29 m | Show
Carolina at Green Bay 8:15 ET Panthers (+) over Packers- Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur says that having clinched the NFC North title that 'Nothing changes in our mind'...I wonder, isn't it just human nature to take at least a sigh of relief? Carolina under first year head coach Matt Rhule is just 4-9 SU but a respectable 7-6 ATS as they have been very competitive even without their All-pro versatile running back and receiver Christian McCaffrey who has missed all but three games. The Panthers are 2-4 SU on the road but 5-1 ATS and 7-1 ATS in their last eight as underdogs. Although, the Packers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight as home favorites they are 1-5 ATS after a straight-up win. Already clinched...take CAROLINA! |
12-19-20 | Alabama v. Florida +17.5 | Top | 52-46 | Win | 100 | 19 h 26 m | Show |
Alabama vs Florida 8:00 ET Gators (+) over Crimson Tide- Alabama opened the season by allowing 24, 48, and 24 points and it was said that they had defensive weaknesses. Well, in their last six games they have allowed 17, 0, 3, 13, 17and 3 a grand total of 53 points averaging allowing 9.1 points and now they are up against a powerhouse offense. Florida who has 609 yards in offense last week in their 37-34 loss to LSU leads the nation in passing yards with 386 and the Tide are ranked No. 5 overall with 538 yards per game. The Crimson Tide are 7-0 ATS in their last seven and are 5-1 TAS in the last six meetings while Gators are 5-1 ATS in last six games as underdogs. Ebb tide as Gators chomp! Take FLORIDA! |
12-19-20 | Clemson -10 v. Notre Dame | 34-10 | Win | 100 | 15 h 25 m | Show
Clemson vs Notre Dame 4:00 ET Tigers (-) over Fighting Irish- All season long I've been saying that Notre Dame has finally reached that upper tier of teams like Alabama, Ohio State and yes even Clemson and they proved that they can play with anybody by defeating the Tigers 47-40. I believed that the public would gravitate to Clemson in the rematch because Trevor Lawrence would be back but the oddsmaker must have thought so as well making them double-digit favorites. So, my original thought that Notre Dame would sweet the series has been dashed as the public is backing the Irish. It wasn't the fact that Clemson was without Lawrence as his substitute passed for 439 yards in was a defense that allowed 208 yards rushing. Three defensive starters were out for the Tigers in that one and they are back and that might make the difference. It just seems too easy to take ND so I won't...take CLEMSON! |
12-18-20 | Oregon +3.5 v. USC | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 31 m | Show |
Oregon at U.S.C 8:00 ET Ducks (+3) over Trojans- Before the season started this was the match-up the experts all predicted would happen in the Pac-12 Championship Game but, it didn't happen the way that was expected. USC was unimpressive early struggling as double-digits favorites lucky just to beat ASU and a terrible Arizona team and last week they put together a miracle finish to beat and 'cover' against UCLA after trailing by 18-points late in the 3rd quarter. The Trojans were expecting to play Washington but 'you know what happened' as they aren't able to field a team. Oregon was 3-0 before dropping their last two on the road at Oregon State and California. These Ducks flew south for this game and they will crap on the Trojans! Take OREGON! |
12-18-20 | Nebraska -6.5 v. Rutgers | 28-21 | Win | 100 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Nebraska at Rutgers 7:00 ET Cornhuskers (-) over Scarlet Knights- This is the final game for both clubs in 2020 and neither team no matter who wins will still fall short of a .500 season. If you compare these two's stats they are a wash without any advantage except that Rutgers offense has scored five more points a game while allowing two more. The fact that Nebraska is favored shows the bookmaker doesn't have much faith in the Knights especially after an outright win. Cornhuskers are 4-0 lifetime against Rutgers and get one of the thumb...take NEBRASKA! |
12-18-20 | UAB +4.5 v. Marshall | 22-13 | Win | 100 | 8 h 37 m | Show
U.A.B. at Marshall 7:00 ET Blazers (+) over Thundering Herd- Marshall had their undefeated season come to an end last time out bas Rice not only won but shutout the Herd 20-0 but, that wasn't the crazy part which is that they were a 24-point beaten favorite. This is the third straight trip tp the USA Championship game for the Blazers defeating Mid Tenn 27-25 two years ago and they were swamped by Florida Atlantic 49-6 last season. The home team is 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS in the last 14 CUSA Championship games so I am surprised the line is as low as it is. Think about it Marshall's defense is No.1 in points allowed (11.4) and No. 2 in total yards (254) and rushing yards (73). It doesn't make sense for the line to be as low considering UAB runs for an average of 198 ypg. Take the BLAZERS! |
12-17-20 | Chargers +3 v. Raiders | 30-27 | Win | 100 | 9 h 29 m | Show
L.A. Chargers at Las Vegas 8:20 ET Chargers (+) over Raiders- Oh-boy, this is a tough call for a number of reasons not the least of which is that my 3-2 Fab-5 Sunday included the Raiders who were stampeded by the Colts. So, after taking them and getting trampled last week...well you know the scenario, but the oddsmaker has lost some respect for Las Vegas as this line is just so low and inviting. The Chargers won despite bonehead coach Anthony Lynn once again blowing scoring opportunities my mismanaging the clock. That makes FIVE times this season! Do you think the Raiders defense can confuse Herbert they way Belichick's defensive plan did? How could it Gruden just fired his DC after Sunday's loss. The Raiders are in such need for a win but the 'powers that be' may not care. Take the CHARGERS! |
12-14-20 | Ravens v. Browns +3 | 47-42 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Baltimore at Cleveland 8:15 ET Browns over Ravens- The Browns who haven't been to the playoffs in 17 years had such fanfare and expectations entering their season opener at Baltimore only to receive a reality check as the veteran playoff Ravens destroyed them 38-6. A convincing win as it was Lamar Jackson who passed for 275 yards and three TD's while the Browns offense scored just once. But after a 5-1 start the 'Black Birds' have lost four of five while Cleveland has won 8-of-10 as Baker Mayfield has held it all together. Browns with best 1-2 punch in the NFL with their running duo of Chubb and Hunt. Take CLEVELAND! |

12-13-20 | Steelers +2.5 v. Bills | 15-26 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 53 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Buffalo 8:20 ET Steelers (+) over Bills- I know how impressive the Bills looked the Monday night dominating San Francisco and how lackluster Pittsburgh looked in losing their first game to Washington after getting out to a 14-0 lead before starting to take things during the game for granted and blowing numerous opportunities. Part of the problem for the Steelers was the lack of a running game as they ran for just 21 yards last week and just 68 the week before against the Ravens. James Conner who missed the last two games will return and help make the difference and Big Ben's pride will outshine Josh Allen. Take PITTSBURGH! |
12-13-20 | Saints v. Eagles +8 | 21-24 | Win | 100 | 17 h 3 m | Show
New Orleans at Philadelphia 4:25 ET Eagles (+) over Saints- This is the most improbable 'side' on the entire board as the Saints have won nine straight and the grounded Eagles are changing quarterbacks. Philadelphia will have Jalen Hurts under center for the first time in his career while Tayson Hill gets his fourth start while Brees' banged up ribs heal. The Eagles are the club of the two that is known for their defense but it is New Orleans that has the No. 2 defense allowing just 288 ypg which plays into the 'Birds' No. 29 offense with 319 ypg. The 'Wild Card' here is Hurts who is not known for his passing (5-12, 109y last week) but will present a different look and hey Carson Wentz had 15 Ints and 3 fumbles and the kicker is that the Saints have already clinched a playoff berth and the have a look-ahead game with Kansas City next week, Take PHILADELPHIA! |
12-13-20 | Colts v. Raiders +3 | 44-27 | Loss | -108 | 17 h 38 m | Show
Indianapolis at Las Vegas 4:05 ET Raiders (+) over Colts- In the scheme of things this is a playoff game for Las Vegas. A loss here would make it virtually impossible for them to qualify for the postseason. As it is the Raiders are fortunate to still be alive as their 'hail-Mary' win over the Jets last week may have saved their season if the win here. Vegas has had the issues with injuries and the virus but this week it have five Colts that have missed practice including Philip Rivers. Jon Gruden has brought the Raiders along and will create win havoc on defense to take advantage of 'Philips Floaters' and get at least a pair of picks. Take LAS VEGAS! |
12-13-20 | Cardinals -2.5 v. Giants | 26-7 | Win | 100 | 14 h 37 m | Show
Arizona at New York Giants 1:00 ET Cardinals over Giants- This is one of those 'Go figure' games. Here we have the New York Football Giants winners of four straight games and probably the hottest team in the NFL (oops Saints have won 9) up against a fading team's who's only win in their last five games came a 'Hail-Mary pass' on the final play against Buffalo when they didn't even attempt the extra-point they have failed to 'cover' the spread. And Arizona is favored at New York! Daniel Jones' Locker returns Sunday and he should give the Giants' 32nd rated offense some sort of lift. He will help, but the Cardinals average 390 ppg and are 9-4-2 ATS on the road scoring 28 ppg while 'Little Blue' is 30th with 19 ppg and are 3-12 ATS as home underdogs. Take ARIZONA! |
12-13-20 | Vikings +7.5 v. Bucs | 14-26 | Loss | -123 | 13 h 28 m | Show
Minnesota at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET Vikings (+) over Buccaneers- These two qualify for the final NFL playoff spots with Tampa Bay (7-5) holding on to the sixth spot and Minnesota (6-6) a game behind. The Bucs expected a big boost on offense with the addition of Brady and other weapons but they are still just middle of the pack at 18th with 363 ypg. It has been the Tampa defense that has held them together ranking No.1 against the run and No. 7 overall. The Vikings shine on offense with 390 ypg and just under 150 rushing yards and will match the Bucs rushing defense with Delvin Cook who has 1135 yards at 5.0 an attempt. These two match-up right and it should come down to a one possession game. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-13-20 | Texans v. Bears +2 | 7-36 | Win | 100 | 13 h 24 m | Show
Houston at Chicago 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Texans- The Houston is an embarrassment and own the entire state of Texas an apology! So, here are the 4-8 Texans -2.5 at Chicago favored against the 5-7 Bears who have dropped six straight. These teams are so bad and so evenly matched with Houston having the No. 30 defense allowing 406 ypg while the Bears offense is also ranked 30th with just 312 ypg. The Texans offense averages 364 ypg while Chicago allows 354 ypg. So, why even take a side when they both suck. Well, a wise man once said to me there's got to be a winner and I know it is NOT Houston! Take CHICAGO! |
12-12-20 | USC v. UCLA +4 | 43-38 | Loss | -107 | 19 h 38 m | Show
USC at UCLA 7:30 ET Bruins (+) over Trojans- If this game was at a different time or day it might be my best of the day. USC was a winner for us last Sunday as the bolted out to a 28-0 1st quarter lead over Washington State and just stopped playing putting it on cruise control the rest of the way. The Trojans are once again the media darlings of the Pac-12 and are always overrated and on the other side of the coin the Bruins feel slighted. USC has had COVID issues and with this game at the empty Rose Bowl UCLA will let their offense do it's thing averaging 36 points and 431 yyg. Take U.C.L.A.! |
12-12-20 | Utah +2.5 v. Colorado | 38-21 | Win | 100 | 21 h 47 m | Show
Chip Shot Winner Utah at Colorado 12:00 Noon ET Utes (+) over Buffaloes- I 'saw' Colorado beat Arizona last week and I also saw them defeat UCLA in their opener and I am impressed with what their first year coach Ken Dorrell has done. Colorado is an unexpected 4-0 and has moved to No. 21 in the AP and yet are a meager favorite against a 1-2 Utah team. The Utes are 0-3 ATS as they surrendered two TD's in the final minutes at reduce a 20-point lead down to a non-covering six (30-24). This 'price' is way too cheap when comparing season records. Something's just not right...Take UTAH! |
12-12-20 | Minnesota v. Nebraska -10 | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -115 | 21 h 45 m | Show |
High Roller Minnesota at Nebraska 12:00 ET Cornhuskers (-) over Golden Gophers- Nebraska has been good to 'us' winning all three times 'we' had them including last week's 37-27 win at Purdue their second straight road cover. The Cornhuskers are a young them that is getting better and gaining momentum but this number having them favored by double-digits peaks my interest. They have been favored just one other time this season against Illinois (-17) and the4y failed miserably losing 41-23 outright. Minnesota is coming off a win of their own over Purdue 34-31 at home but that was three weeks ago as the virus has affected their schedule. The Golden Gophers won last year's meeting in Minneapolis 34-7 and now it's payback...take NEBRASKA! |
12-12-20 | Michigan State v. Penn State -14.5 | 24-39 | Win | 100 | 21 h 43 m | Show
Heavy Hitter Michigan State at Penn State 12:00 Noon ET Nittany Lions (-) over Spartans- If things aren't confusing enough with teams looking to reschedule games or just bring in available opponents now when the have a match-up they change the venue and even starting times after scheduled announcements. So beware, this game is at Noon ET. That's not going to help Michigan State who may be 2-4 but are dreadful and while Penn State is 2-5 they have gained their sea-legs so to speak with wins over Michigan and Rutgers and believe it or not out-gained six of their seven opponents and are a Plus-90 ypg. The Spartans on the other hand are minus-85 ypg. The Penn State defense should shut down any offense MSU might try to muster as the Lions roar and atone for their m0-5 start. Take the NITTANY LIONS! |
12-11-20 | Nevada +2 v. San Jose State | 20-30 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 33 m | Show
Nevada at San Jose State 10:00 ET Wolf Pack (+) over Spartans- I know a lot about this matchup as the Mountain West Conference has little to brad about but this about be a good one all round. Nevada is 6-1 with their only loss coming at Hawaii 24-21 while San Jose State is 5-0 SU and 4-0-1 ATS and have been unbelievable in MWC play going 16-5-2 ATS. Wolf Pack won last year's meeting 41-38 and are 5-0 ATS in their last five as underdogs. Take NEVADA! |
12-11-20 | Arizona State -11 v. Arizona | Top | 70-7 | Win | 100 | 20 h 31 m | Show |
Arizona State at Arizona 7:00 ET Sun Devils (-) over Wildcats- The best thing about the outcome of this game is that at least one major college football team in the state has a victory. Arizona State (0-2) has played both LA schools losing to USC 28-27 (Trojans scored twice in last minute after on-side kick) and to UCLA 25-18 at home last week. Last week Arizona jumped out to a 13-0 lead against Colorado and with six minutes to go in the second quarter the game was over for the Wildcats as the Buffaloes went 24-0 the rest of the way and were never threatened. This 'price' is way out of whack for a 'rivalry game' considering the Sun Devils haven't won a game yet...until tonight. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
12-10-20 | Pittsburgh v. Georgia Tech +7 | 34-20 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 3 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech 7:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Panthers- Pitt has had the best of this series of late as they have won four of the last five including last year's 20-10 win in Atlanta but are off a drubbing by No. 4 Clemson two weeks ago 52-17 and they are 4-0 ATS after a bye week. Georgia Tech meanwhile, was beaten by NC State 23-13 and fell to 3-6 on the season. Yellow Jackets are 5-2 ATS after a loss and the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Final chance for the Panthers to finish win a winning record and they only have to do it by less than a touchdown. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-08-20 | Cowboys +9.5 v. Ravens | 17-34 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 36 m | Show
Dallas at Baltimore 8:00 ET Cowboys (+) over Ravens- The Ravens who have had to deal with the virus have dropped three straight and 4-of-5 while Dallas has lost 5-of-6 and 7-of-9. This game on paper does not set up well for the Cowboys who are dead last in NFL rushing defense while the Ravens are No. 2 in rushing averaging 158 YPG as well as last in points allowed with 32.6. Part of Big 'D's problem is that are also last in take-aways in the season with a league low of just nine also allowing 24 TD passes with just 4 Int's. Having played last on Thanksgiving (if you can call that 'playing') and have had 12-days to prepare and they need it. Take DALLAS! |
12-07-20 | Bills v. 49ers +1 | Top | 34-24 | Loss | -118 | 10 h 30 m | Show |
Buffalo vs San Francisco (at Glendale, AZ) 49ers over Bills- As most are aware this game has been shifted to Arizona as COVID has forced the move from California. Buffalo has won four of five with the lone loss coming on this field against the Cardinals when a 'Hail-Mary' pass handed them their only defeat. The Bills who were the same 8-3 a year ago went 2-3 their final five games while many have to be reminded that the 49ers were in the Super Bowl last season. SF is getting healthy as players return and the Bills face the undefeated (as of now) Steelers next week. That SAN FRANCISCO! |
12-06-20 | Washington State v. USC -11 | 13-38 | Win | 100 | 4 h 47 m | Show
Washington State at USC 7:30 ET Trojans (-) over Cougars- The way things are playing out Southern Cal looks like the best thing the Pac-12 has to offer as they enter with two wins as heavy favorites who were lucky to survive. Washington State is 1-1 having defeated Oregon State and Losing to Oregon and have allowed 320 yards a game passing. Trojans to exploit that defense (or lack of). Take USC! |
12-06-20 | Saints v. Falcons +3 | 21-16 | Loss | -117 | 12 h 2 m | Show
New Orleans at Atlanta 1:00 ET Falcons (+) over Saints- The way I see it Saints 'backers' are loving it when Brees sits! Last year it was Bridgewater going 6-0 ATS and even when Hill gets the start they seem to dominate, especially of late on defense. N.O. has surrendered just 3, 13, 9, and 3 points in their last four games and have the No. 1 defense at 285 ypg and No. 2 Rush 'D' at 76.6 ypg. Atlanta rises as home dogs going 11-4 ATS L-15 and with Raheem Morris at the helm they have won 3 of 4 and 4 of 6 overall. Take ATLANTA! |
12-06-20 | Colts v. Texans +3.5 | 26-20 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 48 m | Show
Indianapolis at Houston 1:00 ET Texans (+) over Colts- How 'bout them inconsistent Colts...they just can seem to string together wins before they throw in an uninspired performance like refusing to step in front of Derek Henry last week as the Titans ran over Indianapolis for 229 yards. Indy is 7-0-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in Houston and 4-0 ATS L-4. While Philip Rivers' TD/Int ratio always an issue it's 16/9 and he still is venerable to the pick-6. Houston defense (if you can call it that) is Ranked No. 30 allowing 410 yards a game and No. 31 in rushing 'D' (154 ypg) and their rushing 'O' (84 ypg) is No.31. Still, the Texans since O'Brien was jettisoned have a winning attitude and record 4-3. The road team is 9-2-2 L-13 dog is 7-3-2 ATS in series. Take the TEXANS! |
12-06-20 | Raiders v. Jets +7.5 | 31-28 | Win | 100 | 12 h 39 m | Show
Las Vegas at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Raiders- Sure, I have become a Raiders fan but that doesn't mean I will play against my pocketbook. Coach Gruden has this team believing that they can win and they can (they beat KC) but they are not ready yet. Injuries and the virus have hurt chemistry and they might be the only team the Jets can beat...nah! Can't see Vegas not showing up after last weeks performance (43-6) at Atlanta but being they best beware as the Jets become desperate to land a win. Take NY JETS! |
12-06-20 | Browns +5 v. Titans | Top | 41-35 | Win | 100 | 12 h 12 m | Show |
Cleveland at Tennessee 1:00 ET Browns (+) over Titans- Very sneaky...watch out for this one. I imagine most will see the Titans as very inviting side with their version of Jim Brown, Derek Henry running with authority over and through defensive backs. Both clubs are 8-3 but appear different in the public eye. This pair are 1 and 2 running the ball with the Browns at 161 rypg and the Titans 158 rypg with Cleveland's passing game lame at No.30 while Tannehill throws for just 227. Titans have turned the ball over just five times a league low but.. It's CLEVELAND! |
12-05-20 | Oregon State v. Utah -11 | 24-30 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 59 m | Show
Oregon State at Utah 10:30 ET Utes (-) over Beavers- Here it is, an 0-2 team (Utah) is a double-digit favorite against a team that just defeated their arch rivals in the closing seconds. Oregon State just defeated Oregon for just the second time in 13 years 41-38 scoring with :33 left and have been celebrating every since. Utah meanwhile was blowing a 21-0 lead over Washington after having dropped their opener to USC 33-17. South Carolina graduate transfer Jake Bentley leads the Utes offense and they should be in command against this No. 94th ranked defense allowing 443 ypg. Beavers should get trapped but the Utes here...Take UTAH! |
12-05-20 | Oregon v. California +9 | Top | 17-21 | Win | 100 | 20 h 35 m | Show |
Oregon at California 7:00 ET Golden Bears (+) over Beavers- Both clubs off losses to rivals and yet it probably hurts Oregon more than it does California. True that the Golden Bears (0-3) have yet to win but the Ducks loss surely knocks them and the Pac-12 out of any shot for the FBS. Ducks have won the last three and 10 of the last 11 meetings with the bears lone win at home in 2016. Hey, Herbert is gone and the Ducks spend more time on the ground where Bears have a chance to growl. Cal out-gained Stanford by a 150 yards on the ground while Oregon's putrid defense gives up 457 YPG, 30-points per and have only two forced turnovers while surrendering five. Take CALIFORNIA! |
12-05-20 | Indiana v. Wisconsin -13 | 14-6 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 8 m | Show
Indiana at Wisconsin 3:30 ET Badgers (-) over Hoosiers- They have had their run but the engine main cog has a bad wheel and the Hoosiers feel good season will close on a sad note starting here. Indiana lost their QB Michael Penix Jr. for the year and was the glue on offense. But it's the Hoosiers defense leads the nation in take-a-ways with 18 including 16 int's. Wisconsin is looking to rebound after their loss to Northwestern two weeks ago after a bye last week due to COVID, whenever they get to play they are going to punish their opponent and Indiana is the perfect sacrificial lamb. With the No. 1 defense allowing just 233 ypg they Badgers will dominate the Hoosiers w/o their QB will have difficulty moving the ball. Take BADGERS! |
12-05-20 | Nebraska +2 v. Purdue | 37-27 | Win | 100 | 14 h 50 m | Show
Nebraska at Purdue 12:00 Noon ET Cornhuskers (+) over Boilermakers- Despite their 1-4 record the Cornhuskers have been good to 'us' as we have collected on both their ATS wins and we will again here. Purdue opened the season with a upset win over Iowa although the Hawkeyes out-gained the Boilermakers by a 100 yards and they have been out-gained by every opponent every at Minnesota where they lost anyway. The underdog is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take NEBRASKA! |
12-05-20 | Oklahoma State v. TCU +2.5 | 22-29 | Win | 100 | 14 h 49 m | Show
Oklahoma State at T.C.U. 12:00 Noon ET Horned Frogs (+) over Cowboys- Okay State is off a 50-44 OT win over Texas Tech where substitute Dezmond Jackson ran for 235 yards replacing All-American Chuba Hubbard who was out. The funny thing about is was they the Cowboys were out-gained by the Red Raiders by 100 yards and are now 0-4 ATS in their last four. TCU has turned things around after a slow start having won 3-of-4 and have a few trends working in their favor. The home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and the underdogs is 5-0 ATS. But, they are also just 9-24 ATS in their last 33 home games overall. Take HORNED FROGS! |
12-05-20 | Penn State -11.5 v. Rutgers | 23-7 | Win | 100 | 14 h 49 m | Show
Penn State at Rutgers 12:00 Noon ET Nittany Lions (-) over Scarlet Knights- Wow, what a difference a coach can make. When Greg Schiano left the Scarlet Knights after a 10-year run going 68-67 winning bowl games in five of six seasons. Rutgers is was 7-45 in Big Ten play since 2014 and had lost 21 straight conference games entering the season. Under Schiano they have two and blew double-digit leads in two others. Starting with school worst 0-5 Penn State posted their first win last week at Michigan 27-17 their season high in points since their OT opener at Indiana. Despite their record the Lions are in a much higher class. Take PENN STATE! |
11-30-20 | Seahawks v. Eagles +6.5 | Top | 23-17 | Win | 100 | 24 h 53 m | Show |
Seattle at Philadelphia 8:15 ET Eagles (+) over Seahawks- These two met at Philadelphia in the playoffs and Seattle posted a 17-9 victory their second of the season over Philly and by the same score 17-9. The Eagles had struggled most of the year and then closed with a flurry before the loss to end their season. In 2020 it has been even worse for them as Carson Wentz has been under duress the entire season having been sacked 40 times with 18 turnovers and a 73.3 passer rating. It's the same old story for the Seahawks plenty of offense with 400 yards per game, but their defense hasn't improved and is dead last allowing 435 yard per game. The head-to-head games are all Seattle as they are 6-0 ATS in the past six meetings including 5-0 ATS in Philadelphia. Both clubs are in second place with only the Eagles assured to move into first with a victory. Take the EAGLES! |
11-29-20 | Chiefs v. Bucs +3.5 | Top | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 20 h 49 m | Show |
Kansas City at Tampa Bay 4:25 ET Buccaneers (+) over Chiefs- Oh man is this it? Is this where we actually see the 'changing of the guard' as Patrick Mahomes brings his 9-1 Chiefs into Tampa Bay where quarterback Tom Brady is starting to show some wear and tear and Kansas City has the NFL's No. 2 offense averaging 414 yards per game while the Buc's defense has been consistent the past few seasons and is No. 6 over and No. 1 against the run for the second straight season. The Chiefs may not even be concerned withy that as they are the leagues No. 1 passing teams at 300 yards per games and Mahomes has 27 TD passes with just a pair of interceptions. Tampa Bay meanwhile has had two clunkers in their last three games as Brady's efficiency has dropped Matt Patricia sleepless. Kansas City garnered a bit revenge last week at las Vegas against the Raiders who had inflicted the their only loss in early October and they have won their last five since. There are a few things that have me backing Tampa here. To start with Tom Brady is a prideful man and I have to believe he will atone for his indiscretions in recent losses and the Buccaneers need to make a statement here otherwise they fall to 7-5 and into also-ran territory. Take TAMPA BAY! |
11-29-20 | Raiders v. Falcons +3 | 6-43 | Win | 103 | 16 h 20 m | Show
Las Vegas at Atlanta 1:00 ET Falcons (+) over Raiders- Although the Raiders lost to Kansas City Sunday they gained a number of admirers because let's face it John Gruden has them playing good football. Gone (for the most part) are the silly penalties and they are protecting the ball better now than anytime since his 10-year tenure started. What's to say about Atlanta...they are 3-7 and coming off a beatdown by New Orleans where they failed to score a touchdown and were dominated after taking a 9-3 lead late in the second period. QB Matt Ryan who has thrown for 2,978 yards this season but was sacked eight times and took 11 hits against the Saints. The issue here is if Gruden can get his guys 'up' on the road after an emotional last minute loss to the Chiefs I can see the Raiders being flat but they do have the better coaching. I was looking for a trend to throw at you and there's ones on Vegas were really good, but I found this about the Falcons, they are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 as an underdog. That's it! Take ATLANTA! |
