Mack Attack MLB Play of the Day is on the Pittsburgh Pirates (Taillon Listed) Taillon is a great story (overcome cancer) and has found his early season form going 5-0 with a 1.62 ERA over his L6 starts. Say what you want about the Bucs, they haven't quit and are playing hard going 9-4 down the stretch. The Reds have lost six straight and already have reservations out of town for Monday and Tuesday. Add to the mix Pitt's 13-4 series mark against the Reds this year and this is an easy call.

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Yankees (Happ Listed) Both teams set for the playoffs. The BoSox have franchise record for most regular season wins in that storied franchises history. The Yanks need one win in the next three days to secure home field in the one-game knockout round vs. the A's. They need two wins for 100 wins and THESE ARE THE HATED RED SOX. Happ has been money with the Yanks and the Bombers are 8-2 in his 10 starts since coming over at the trade deadline. Think that Boston is skating while the Yanks are building up for one last run. Mack Attack MLB Play of the Day is on the Oakland A's +106 The improbable Oakland A's second half run has landed them in the playoffs vs. the Yankees and at this point the only thing that remains to be be decided is whether or not the A's can get home field for the one-game wildcard. Edwin Jackson was pulled off the scrap heap and has gone 6-3 with a super 3.18 ERA. He's rubber-armed and can give you 120 pitches if need be. The A's are 5-2 L7 and should enjoy facing King Felix who is but a shell of his former self. Plus money is a bonus.

Syndergaard is 3-1 with a 2.70 ERA in his L4 and the Mets are on a 9-3 under run in their L12 games overall. The under is 9-5 L14 in the series and the arms should hold up here.

His last two wern't impressive but his first eight with the Blue Bears (7-3 under) were and he should get straightened out here against the light hitting Pirates.

Thor is is 4-0 with a 2.86 ERA and a team that has clawed it's way back to 70-81 is 15-7 in his starts. Kershaw is Kershaw and he rocks a 3.21 ERA in 39 LT starts against the Rockies. MLB games with totals of 7or less and 60% to the under in 2018 so don't hesitate to pull the trigger.

Both starters Mikolas (15-4, 2.99) and Foltynewicz (11-9, 2.66) have been rock solid all year and both are in decent form now. The Cards are 7-3-1 to the low in their L11 roadies while the Braves are 4-2 to the under L6. Every game for both of these teams from here on out will have playoff ramifications so assuming this one will be played with playoff intensity and intentions. The Braves have won 4 of 5 on this swing against the NL West and Mike Foltynewicz has been solid (6-6, 2.71 ERA) on the road all year. The Bravos smell blood and can put a stranglehold on the N.L. DMack's MLB Play of the day is on the Phillies (Arrieta Listed) The Jays have won four straight home games but catch a Jake Arrieta that is pretty dialed in at the moment (2-2, 2.81, L5 starts) and pitching the type of game he was specifically brought in to win. The Phils are just 1-4 L5 and need to right the ship right here. The Phils face a Jay starter with an ERA of 13.00+ L3 which should heat up the bats. The ex-Cub has been here, done that many times before in pennant races and does his job here. Arrieta goes seven strong in routine Phils win here.

DMack's National League Total of the Week is on the Brewers/Giants Under Wade Miley has been a nice stop gap for the slumping Brewers. He's 1-1 with a 1.56 ERA in four starts. Similar for Derek Rodriguez and the Giants who is 4-1 with a 2.89 ERA in 8 appearances, 7 starts. He's 2-0 with a 1.40 ERA in his L3 starts so the starters are razor sharp coming in. Add to the mix that the teams are hitting .243 and .224 in their L7 games respectively and and we have a solid case for the Under.

DMack's Free Play for Wednesday, July 25, 2018 is on the WSox/Angels Under Big Game James has actually pitched pretty well, at least keeping the lowly Pale Hose in games. The Under is 12-4-1 in his starts and I promise you he'll be at his best here with the trade deadline coming up Tuesday and this likely to be his final audition to get out of the Southside. Tyler Skaggs is just 7-6 but deserves better with his 2.68 ERA. The Angels are 10-3 low in their L13 home games and runs will be tough to come by here. Play the Under.

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Oakland A's (Jackson Listed) The A's are rolling at 19-5 over their L24 and rubber-armed journeyman Edwin Jackson had been a Godsend. He's 1-2 with a VERY respectable 3.23 ERA and eats up inning after inning after inning. The Rangers are 2-9 L11 with no light at the end of the tunnel and will likely be trading everyone with a pulse prior to the Tuesday trade deadline.

DMack's Free Play for Tuesday, July 24, 2018 is on the WSox/Angels Under WSox starter has seemingly found his groove with B2B quality starts against the Astros and Cardinals, the Under is 4-1 in the Pale Hose L5 road games. Felix Pena has overcome jitters from his MLB debut and is 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA in his L3 starts. All three of those starts went Under the total and the Under is 9-3 in the Halos L12 home games. Runs figure to be tough to come by and the "9" definitely has us interested. Play the Under.

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Oakland A's (Montas Listed) Oakland is 15 games above .500, just two games out of the wildcard and starting to make moves as of they are serious about making a playoff run. The team can hit and the pitching is decent as the current 18-5 L23 run would attest. The Rangers are heading in the opposite direction at 2-8 L10 and should be sellers this week as we come to the trade deadline. The price is definitely right and Ranger starter Mike Minor (0-2, 7.71) hasn't gotten anyone out in a month.

DMack's MLB Total of the Week is on the Astros/Angels Under Saturday, we played the Astros and were rewarded with a never-in-doubt 7-0 shutout from Verlander. Lance McCullers is no Justin Verlander and was even hammered in his last start but he's 10-4 on the year with a respective 3.77 ERA and his two prior starts were two wins where he went seven shutout innings vs. the WSox and Tampa Bay. Andrew Heaney has been money at home (2.41 ERA) and the under is 11-5 in his 16 starts this year and 6-2 at Edison Field. Play the under.

DMack's Free Play for Saturday, July 21, 2018 is on the Rockies/DBacks Under The Rockies are just a half game back of the Snakes an both teams figure to be in the wildcard race till the end. Kyle Freeland has been lights out all year and has even been a bit unlucky at 8-6 with a 3.11 ERA. The Rocks are 15-4 to the low in his 19 starts. Zack Godley is 6-1 with a 4.12 ERA in his L7 but is 4-0 with a 2.02 ERA in four LT starts vs. Colorado. The Rockies are 11-5 under in their L16 while the Snakes are 6-2 under in their L8. Under the total certainly looks like it's worth at least a flyer here.

DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Houston Astros The Angels are treading water and that's what they'll do the rest of the way. Tropeano has been throwing batting practice (7.54) over his L3 starts and he's given up eight earned in 10 career innings of work for versus the Astros. Verlander has not been razor sharp but he's been good and has lost three straight decisions because of a lack of run support. Verlander has always been money in the second half and Houston will look to get him off to a fast start here.
