3/20 07:45 PM EST CB (719) NORTHERN IOWA VS (720) TEXAS A&M. But this is a tough matchup as Northern Iowa lacks height in the frontcourt and faces a dominant Texas A&M defense. The Aggies rolled to their first tournament win in six years with a 92-65 rout of Green Bay on Friday. Danuel House scored 20 points and Texas A&M shot 56.1 percent to win for the ninth time in 10 games. Texas A&M is on a 6-1 ATS run and 9-4 ATS in NCAA Tournament games. Play Texas A&M.

No. 15 Middle Tennessee State shocked the world with the upset of Michigan State the last game, so they are in a let-down spot. Middle Tennessee State has plenty of flaws, ranked No. 9 in scoring in Conference USA, plus dead last in three throw shooting (.617%). It's remarkable they've gotten this far, giving up 90 points in a C-USA tourney game and beating Old Dominion in the title game by one basket. But the run ends here against a Syracuse team that just crushed Dayton, 70-51. The Orange are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Play Syracuse.

Austin has won 21 games in a row. They had a relatively easy win the last game, stomping on favored West Virginia, 70-56, getting 81 minutes of help off the bench. They held West Virginia to 30.8% shooting and forced 22 turnovers. By contrast, Notre Dame had a wild comeback against Michigan the last game, trailing 41-29 at the half. They got just 38 minutes off the bench. Notre Dame finished with 16 turnovers, almost double their regular season average. Notre Dame didn't take a lead in the game until Beacham's three-pointer as the shot clock ran out with 9:26 left to make it 51-48. There were five more lead changes and three ties to come. Seton Hall opened as a dog here and has had an incredible run through the Big East tournament as they defeated both Xavier and Villanova as a dog to win the Conference Tournament Championship. The Big East Title earned the Pirates a No 6 seed in the NCAA tourney. Seton Hall makes its first appearance in the big dance in 10 years and will face 11th seeded Gonzaga. The Zags needed to win the West Coast Conference title from St Mary's in order to get their NCAA bid. The win left St Mary's on the outside looking in. Seton Hall has won 12 of their last 14 games S/U and is 14-3 ATS their last 17 games. Gonzaga has won five in a row, both S/U and ATS. However, this is not the same Bulldogs team that advanced to the Elite Eight last season. Gonzaga was just 1-3 S/U this year against ranked opponents. Big difference here in the competition these teams have played. Gonzaga had really just St Mary's to contend with in the WCC. However, Seton Hall had to traverse the Big East and some very good teams, including Villanova, Xavier, Providence and Butler. Take Seton Hall.

USC didn't help it's own cause down the stretch either, going 3-7 over their last 10 games. The Trojans weren't very good to bettors either, going 2-6 ATS their last eight and 5-10 ATS over the last 15 games. Meanwhile, Providence covered its last five games in a row, losing out to Villanova in the Big East Tournament. Providence is a high scoring team and has a legitimate NBA lottery pick on the club in Kris Dunn. I like Providence in this game, as I don't believe USC should even be here. San Diego State had to settle for the NIT after losing in the Mountain West Championship game to Fresno, 68-63. The Aztecs still had an excellent season at 25-9 and many feel the were snubbed by the selection committee in favor of weaker teams. When looking at a matchup like this, you have to take these things into consideration. IUPU Fort Worth had a nice season, finishing 23-9 and coming within one point of that automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Mastadons lost to North Dakota State, 69-68. The Mastadons will make their first ever NIT appearance here tonight. IPFW has a balanced attack with four players averaging in double figures, led by Max Landis and his 19.5 ppg. Motivation has to be a big part of the picture in these "other" tournaments. The Mastadons played a lot of games on the road, going 12-8 this season S/U away from home. They are no stranger to playing in front of hostile crowds. I'm going to take the points here with the Mastadons.

Florida struggled in SEC conference play this season and down the stretch was just 2-5 S/U. Moreover, the Gators really took a bite out of bettors wallets with a 3-9 ATS run to close out the season. North Florida ended the season with a 22-11 S/U record. They only had two games against the spread and split those. The Ospreys played a tough non-conference schedule, with games against Illinois, Louisville, St Louis, LSU, Dayton, Arkansas and VCU. This type of game really helps North Florida more than it does Florda. The Ospreys are vying for the same athletes as the Gators and a win here would give them a little extra recruiting bump. Only 71 miles separate these schools and I look for North Florida to have all the motivational factors in this US-301 rivalry. Take North Florida.

The Seton Hall Pirates have won 11 of their last 13 games with the only losses in that stretch coming against Butler as they have reached the Big East tournament title game for the first time in 23 years. Seton Hall is the only Big East team that defeated Villanova in each of the previous two seasons. Seton Hall is 13-3 ATS in Big East play and on a 21-7 ATS run overall. Villanova is on a 2-5 ATS run and the Wildcats are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. And the Pirates are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. Play Seton Hall.

3/12 3:30 PM EST CB (727) GEORGIA VS (728) KENTUCKY. Take: (727) CBB Inner Circle Dog: Georgia. The Kentucky Wildcats are hot, but do not possess the depth of last season's team that nearly went undefeated. The Wildcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points. The Georgia Bulldogs are making their third straight appearance in the semifinals and need to spring an upset to be considered for an NCAA Tournament berth, but they will probably have to win the tournament to reach the Big Dance. Georgia is 49-24-1 ATS against the SEC! The sixth-seeded Bulldogs upset No. 3 seed South Carolina 65-64 on Friday when J.J. Frazier tied it with a late basket, and came up with a steal and was fouled with 2.1 seconds left before delivering the winning free throw. Play Georgia.

3/12 3:00 PM EST CB (739) CONNECTICUT VS (740) TEMPLE. Take: (740) CBB Situational Game of the Year: Temple. Often difficult during these conference tournaments when teams have to play back-to-back games and sometimes three games in three days. But when you have to endure an overtime the previous day, it can take a toll on the legs. That's just the case here. UConn had to go to FOUR overtimes to dispatch Cincinnati on Friday. That was the equivalent of playing an entire extra half of basketball. Then they turn right around and play today against Temple. Temple has been playing very well, winning four straight and nine of the last 11 games. The Owls had little trouble with South Florida in their opening AAC tourney game on Friday, winning 79-62. The Owls are 19-8 ATS in their last 27 games following a spread win. Temple has beaten the Huskies twice this season and they make it three in a row. The Huskies have to be tired after that marathon game on Friday. I think the oddsmakers have the wrong favorite here and the Huskies are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings. Take Temple.

3/12 2:00 PM EST CB (733) UL - LAFAYETTE VS (734) ARKANSAS LITTLE ROCK. Take: (733) UL - LAFAYETTE Reason: If UL Lafayette looks to get past this semi finals contest, they will have to do so against the top seeded Arkansas Little Rock squad. The Ragin' Cajuns breezed through their quarterfinal game on Friday with an easy win over South Alabama, 90-68. The Cajuns showcased their sharp shooting in that game. ULL is ranked 35th in scoring in the nation with 79.6 ppg average and they also shoot 44.4% from the floor. This club also gets to the charity stripe quite often, averaging 25.6 free throws per game. Arkansas Little Rock might have to shake the cob webs out here, having been off for nine days now. The Trojans were 17-3 S/U in the Sun Belt this season. The Trojans also have a very good defense, ranked 3rd in the nation allowing just 59.8 ppg. This game will be the ULL great offense against the Arkansas LR defense. I think the layoff could hurt the Trojans here though as they might come out a bit flat for this one. I'm going to take the points with Lafayette.
