10-11-20 | Colts v. Browns +1 | 23-32 | Win | 100 | 22 h 26 m | Show
Week five matchup here of teams that are both on 3-0 win streaks. Both these clubs opened the season with losses and since have gone on to win their next three games. The Colts defense has been excellent this season. Their last three games they have held the Vikings, Jets and Bears to a combined 29 points. The Browns lost to the Ravens in week 1 and since have scored 118 points in wins over Cincinnati, Washington and Dallas. The Colts are playing their second straight road game here this week. The Browns are controlling the ball on the ground, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. This one will be the Colts defense against the Browns offense. The game is basically pick and I'll take the home club in this one. Play Cleveland. |

10-11-20 | Colts v. Browns UNDER 48.5 | 23-32 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 24 m | Show

The Browns are controlling the ball on the ground, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. The battle in this one is the defense of the Colts vs the offense of the Browns. The Colts defense has been very good and they should control both the offensive and defensive lines here today. I'm taking this game to go UNDER. |

10-11-20 | Bengals +13 v. Ravens | 3-27 | Loss | -119 | 19 h 60 m | Show
Cincinnati (1-2-1) takes on the Baltimore Ravens (3-1) here on Sunday. Bengals QB Joe Burrow has thrown for over 300 yards in his last two games and averaged 28.6 ppg over their last three games. Burrow is turning out to be everything expected of him when taken number one in the draft. However, the lack of a good offensive line has resulted in Burrow taking a bruising. Burrow has been hit 36 times in his four starts. The two Bengals losses have come by five points or fewer. Today, they are getting 13-points from the Ravens. The Ravens are 3-1 and like to run the ball. The problem the Ravens could have is overlooking this Bengals team. Cincy has Joe Mixon who is running great and Burrow. For me, that's just a bit too much offense to get 13-points. I'm going to take the dog here on Sunday. Play Cincinnati. |

10-11-20 | Panthers +2.5 v. Falcons | 23-16 | Win | 100 | 19 h 60 m | Show
The 2-2 Carolina Panthers visit the 0-4 Atlanta Falcons this week. The Panthers lost their first two games of the season but since have rebounded with two straight wins over the Chargers and Cardinals. While the Falcons are still looking for that first win, they could easily already have at least two wins if they didn't blow 4th quarter leads. The Falcons playing on the short week here today after losing at Green Bay on Monday Night, 16-30. Teddy Bridgewater is emerging as a NFL star as he replaced departed Cam Newton at QB for the Panthers. The Panthers have also been winning with out their best player in RB Christian McCaffrey who has missed the last two games. Bridgewater has completed 73% of his passes this season, 3rd best in the NFL. The Falcons defense has been horrible, allowing the most TD passes in the league this year (13). The secondary is riddled with injuries as they now have lost safety Damontae Kazee for the season. The Falcons could be without WR Julio Jones today who has a hamstring injury. I've been on the Panthers the last two weeks and see no reason to get off them here today. Play Carolina. |
|||||||
10-11-20 | Eagles v. Steelers -7 | Top | 29-38 | Win | 100 | 19 h 0 m | Show |
Pennsylvania battle here as the Steelers host their intrastate rivals, Philly. This week there will be a limited number of fans allowed at the game with the cap coming in at 5,500. The Pittsburgh Steelers can go 4-0 with a win this week. The Eagles are coming off their first win of the season last week, an upset win at San Francisco. The Steelers had the week off after the Titans had a Covid outbreak. Philly QB Carson Wentz has already tossed 7 INT's this season and has come under fire. The Philly defense hasn't been very good as they have allowed opposing QB's to throw 7 touchdowns while picking off just two passes. They have also allowed 243 yards per game through the air and opposing passers a rating of 100. Yes, the Eagles got a big win last week at the 49ers. However, that came against a backup QB. Now they have to face Big Ben. Don't expect the Eagles to come away with bragging rights today. I look for a Steelers win. Play Pittsburgh. |
|||||||
10-10-20 | Alabama v. Ole Miss UNDER 69.5 | 63-48 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 12 m | Show
Huge total here in this game of around 70. I can see why the oddsmaker put up such a big number though. The Alabama Crimson Tide are averaging 45 ppg and Ole Miss coming in at 38.5 ppg. The Rebels are also pretty bad on defense, allowing 46 points per game. I know I'm a bit out of the box on this pick today and I don't have any stats to back it up. But I'm looking at the UNDER. So why is that? They have Georgia up next on October 17th. I don't think we'll see the Alabama first team players long into this game and they might even be looking past this terrible Ole Miss team to the undefeated Bulldogs next week. I'm taking the under and expecting the Tide to have their minds on their next game. Take UNDER. |
|||||||
10-10-20 | Mississippi State v. Kentucky -2.5 | 2-24 | Win | 100 | 21 h 3 m | Show
SEC action here on Saturday has Kentucky looking for its first win after starting the season 0-2. They will host Mississippi State, which is coming off a loss last week to Arkansas and is now 1-1. The Bulldogs loss to Arkansas, 14-21 despite good passing numbers by K.J Costello and rushing by Jo'quavious Marks. There were high hopes for Kentucky this year so they can ill afford to fall to 0-3 on the season. Miss State is under new HC Mike Leach. They had the upset win as a 10-point dog over LSU, then fell flat against Arkansas last week. Kentucky had 559 total yards in their loss to Ole Miss with 408 of those coming on the ground. Kentucky is too good a team to start 0-3 on the season. They played well in both their losses and should be 1-1 at worse. I look for Kentucky to put it all together here on Saturday. Play Kentucky. |
|||||||
10-10-20 | Temple -3 v. Navy | 29-31 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 33 m | Show
Hard to believe that Temple will finally get on the field for a game here tonight. Due to scheduling and Covid concerns they had to reschedule this game from Sept 26th. Now they get their first game against a Navy squad that is just 1-2 on the season. Navy was sunk by Byu in their opener, 3-55. Navy wasn't ready for the season and it showed. They did bonce back in week two with a come from behind win over Tulane and then got beat bad again last week by Air Force, 7-40. Temple is led by QB Anthony Russo. Russo tossed 21 TD's last year to go with his 2,861 yards. The offensive line returns lots of experience and should really benefit Russo this season. Navy has been a tough team to figure out. They have really been behind big in all three games with the one big comeback vs Tulane. I just don't trust this Navy defense against an experienced QB today. Take Temple |
|||||||
10-10-20 | Duke v. Syracuse +2 | 38-24 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 2 m | Show
Duke just not feeling 2020 thus far as they are off to a horrible start. The Blue Devils are 0-4 on the season losing to Va Tech, 31-38, then to Virginia 20-38 and then to Boston College 6-26 and week 1 at Notre Dame, 13-27. The offense scored their most points of the season last week (31) in their loss to Va Tech. Syracuse is 1-2 on the season, with their lone win thus far coming against Georgia Tech, 27-30. Duke has been a turnover machine with a -7 turnover ratio in just four games. Now they face an Orange team that is first in the ACC in turnover differential with a +6 mark. Unless Duke can hold onto the ball I don't see any different outcome here today but their fifth loss. And facing the best takeaway team in the ACC is not a good sign. I'm sticking with the home team in this one. Play Syracuse. |
|||||||
10-10-20 | Florida -5 v. Texas A&M | Top | 38-41 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 34 m | Show |
ESPN game here as Florida takes on Texas A&M. The Florida Gators are 2-0 on the season with A&M Aggies coming in a 1-1. The Aggies lost last week to Alabama, 24-52. Won't get any easier this week as they play an explosive Florida team. The offense is averaging 44.5 ppg so far and 7.8 yards per play. TE Kyle Pitts will pose a huge problem for A&M here. Pitts has has been a TD machine thus far and he's big and fast and it looks like the Aggies don't have an answer to covering him here today. The A&M secondary was destroyed last week by Alabama for 435 yards and four TD's. I don't see that getting any easier today against an equally explosive Florida offense. Take Florida in a blowout. |
|||||||
10-09-20 | Louisville -4.5 v. Georgia Tech | 27-46 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 28 m | Show
Both Louisville Cardinals and the George Tech Rambling Wreck started the season with wins. Since then, they are a combined 0-4. Louisville (1-2) has lost to Miami Florida and Pittsburgh with their lone win coming over Western Kentucky. Georgia Tech (1-2) has lost to Central Florida and Syracuse after beating Florida State in its opener. Louisville QB Malik Cunningham has 757 passing yards and 7 TD's with 5 INT's. Geogia Tech starts a true freshman at QB in Jeff Sims. Sims has 695 yards with 3 TD's and 8 INT's. Tech's leading rusher, Jordan Mason, has missed the last two games. Big difference in QB here with Cunningham for Louisville and freshman for Tech. I'll lay the points here on the road. Play Louisville. |
|||||||
10-08-20 | Bucs -3.5 v. Bears | Top | 19-20 | Loss | -100 | 23 h 6 m | Show |
A pair of 3-1 teams meet here on Thursday as the Tampa Bay Bucs take on the Chicago Bears from Soldier field. The Bucs lost their opener under new QB Tom Brady at New Orleans, but now go for their fourth straight win. Brady has completed 65.2% of his passes for 1122 yards and 11 TD's. Brady has a good ground game behind him, averaging 97.8 yards per game with Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fortnette. The Bears lost last Sunday at home to the Colts. The offense could never really get going until a last, meaningless 4th quarter drive. Nick Foles took over in game three but struggled in game four. The Bears also have a excellent ground game, averaging 110.5 yards per game behind David Montgomery. I'm not sold on this Bears team which has been very inconsistent this year. The Bucs are playing well so I will take them here in this Thursday night game. Play Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
10-08-20 | Tulane +7 v. Houston | 31-49 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 19 m | Show
The Covid pandemic has caused many a college teams to shuffle their schedules. None more effected then Houston thus far. The Cougars will just now be playing their first game of the season. Compare that to Tulane, which is playing its fourth game after starting the season 2-1. The Cougars have had five game rescheduled or cancelled thus far. They finally get to play tonight. The Cougars have 33 junior college and other conference transfers after finishing a disappointing 4-8 last season. The Cougars will have their hands full playing Tulane. Not only does the Green Wave have had three games to get their team in order, but they are 2-1 and already won twice on the road. Thus far, Tulane is third in the AAC in total defense. Hard to gauge this Houston team since they have so many changes from last year. Add to that the rust that can accompany any first game of the season and I'm a bit surprised they are laying a TD here tonight. I'm going to take the points with a very good Tulane team. Play Tulane. |
|||||||
10-08-20 | Tulane v. Houston UNDER 59.5 | 31-49 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 27 m | Show

10-05-20 | Falcons v. Packers OVER 56 | 16-30 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 2 m | Show
I don't know what youth pill Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers has taken, but can we all have some. Rodgers has looked like his old self after a down season in 2019. Rodgers and the Packers are undefeated at 3-0. The Falcons, well they have blown big leads this year and are 0-3 after losing to the Bears last week, 26-30. That loss on the heals of a shocking loss to the Cowboys in week 2 where they blew a 15-point fourth quarter lead. It must seem like Deja Vu for the Falcons after something similar happened in their Super Bowl loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl LI. HC Dan Quinn is in desperate need of a win or face a 0-4 start. The injury plagued Falcons will have to face the NFL best offense that averages 6.9 yards per play and 40.7 ppg. The Falcons do possess a potent passing attack with Matt Ryan. But I don't see this defense stopping this Packers juggernaut of an offense. Take the OVER |

10-05-20 | Falcons v. Packers -6.5 | Top | 16-30 | Win | 100 | 19 h 5 m | Show |

10-04-20 | Colts v. Bears +3 | Top | 19-11 | Loss | -113 | 19 h 30 m | Show |
The Colts used three INT's last week to defeat the Jets, 36-7 and improve to 2-1 on the season. RB Jonathon Taylor has been great for the Colts, with 261 scrimmage yards this season. After losing their opening game at Jacksonville, the Colts have won their next two games by a combined 64-18. The Bears had a miraculous comeback at Atlanta last week with Nick Foles coming off the bench to toss three, fourth quarter touchdowns. That made the Bears 3-0 on the season. Foles was 16-for-29 for 188 and three TD's in their win last week. Colts QB Phillip Rivers showing he still has what it takes. Rivers leads the NFL in completion rate, 78.3%. This should be an excellent matchup with two hot teams. I'm going to take the points here at home with the undefeated Bears. |
|||||||
10-04-20 | Seahawks v. Dolphins +6 | 31-23 | Loss | -115 | 15 h 6 m | Show
The Seattle Seahawks are 3-0 to start the season and have had some wild finishes already. They came down to the last seconds to hold onto their win over the Patriots and last week had to keep Dallas at bay in a wild shootout. Meanwhile the Dolphins got their first win of the season last week on Thursday with a victory over the Jaguars, 31-13. Miami has had good success at home against the Seahawks with a 6-1 record their last seven tries. It's a very long trip for the Seahawks from the Northwest to the far South of Miami. Teams going from West to East don't usually do well in that scenario. The Dolphins have looked decent this year and I look for them to stay with the Seahawks on Sunday. Take the Points with Miami. |
|||||||
10-04-20 | Cardinals v. Panthers +3.5 | 21-31 | Win | 100 | 15 h 6 m | Show
The 2-1 Arizona Cardinals make the trip East to play the 1-2 Carolina Panthers. The Cardinals lost their first game of the season last week at home to Detroit, 23-26. The Lions making the winning field goal as time expired. The Cardinals are now 1-9 S/U when they score fewer than 25 points. QB Kyler Murray had three INT's in that loss. The Panthers picked up their first win of the season last week against the Chargers, 21-16. QB Teddy Bridgewater has completed 78.6% of his passes in each of his last two games. Not only does Arizona make the dreaded West to East Coast trip here today, but they are laying points on the road. The Panthers might still be without star RB Christian McCaffrey, but Bridgewater seems to be getting things done this season. I'll take the points here at home with the Panthers. |
|||||||
10-03-20 | Auburn +7.5 v. Georgia | 6-27 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 9 m | Show
Late TV game here on the SEC schedule as Georgia host Auburn. Georgia opened the season last week with a win over Arkansas, 37-10. The Bulldogs trailed that game at the half, 5-7. Todd Monken takes over as offensive coordinator and the team showed some growing pains last week. While the offense will take time under new OC, the defense will once again be solid. Bo Nix returns to Auburn after a uneven 2019 season. Nix looked good in their opener, completing 16 of 27 passes for 233 yards and three TD's. Nix will be the key to today's game if the Tigers look for the upset in Georgia. This is going to be a close game with the Auburn offense against the Georgia defense. I'll take the points in this one. Play Auburn. |
|||||||
10-03-20 | Charlotte +5 v. Florida Atlantic | 17-21 | Win | 100 | 4 h 28 m | Show
Florida Atlantic finally looks to get on the grid iron today as their previous games vs Georgia Southern and South Florida were both cancelled due to Covid. They face the Charlotte 49ers today. FAU will be under first year coach Willie Taggart and are the defending Conference USA Champions. Charlotte lost its opener to Appalachian State, 20-35. They are under 2nd year coach Will Healy. Charlotte also saw scheduled games vs North Carolina and Georgia State scrapped due to the Virus. FAU led the conference in scoring and total offense last year. However, many players are gone from that team. QB Chris Robinson left and most of his receivers from last year graduated. FAU might be more rusty then most having waiting this long to get a game under its belt. I believe this one will be closer then most think it might be. FAU needs time under a new coach and with so many offensive players missing. Take Charlotte. |
|||||||
10-03-20 | Texas A&M v. Alabama UNDER 54.5 | 24-52 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 7 m | Show
The SEC plays its second week of the season here on Saturday as Alabama host Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa. Alabama is the favorite in the SEC and opened with a win last week over Vanderbilt, 38-19. With QB Tua Tagovailoa gone to the the NFL it's now up to Mac Jones to lead the team. Jones looked solid in his start last week. Texas A&M will have to clean up its act after last week where they committed way too many penalties and turn overs. A&M scored just 17 points in their opener last week and will not have it any better today against a solid Alabama defense. Texas A&M still looks like a work in progress after their first game. They have a lot of areas to work on and that won't be much easier here today against Alabama. I'm taking UNDER in this game as I expect A&M to be limited in points. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
10-03-20 | Baylor v. West Virginia +1.5 | 21-27 | Win | 100 | 14 h 15 m | Show
Baylor had to wait a bit to start their season, but they didn't show any rust as they pummeled Kansas 47-14 last week. West Virginia has a pair of games under its belt, beating Eastern Kentucky in week one, 56-10, and then losing last week to Oklahoma State, 13-27. Baylor Bears have a excellent QB in Charlie Brewer. He's thrown for over 3,000 yards two times in his college career. RB Trestan Ebner scored four TD's in their win over Kansas. West Virginia's pass defense has been solid, all0owing just 135 yards average thus far. West Virginia is led by running back Leddie Brown who has posted back-to-back 100 yard efforts. Despite their loss last week, this West Virginia club looks much improved under 2nd year HC Neal Brown. I expect a lot of points in this one, but I'll take the home club. Play West Virginia. |
|||||||
10-03-20 | Arkansas State v. Coastal Carolina +3 | Top | 23-52 | Win | 105 | 14 h 15 m | Show |
Two teams that will likely contend for the Sun Belt title meet today. Coastal Carolina is 2-0 to start the season. The Chanticleers have a solid QB in McCall. McCall had over 200 yards in their win over Kansas with five Td's. Arkansas State has been rotating QB's with Logan Bonner and Layne Hatcher. Starting RB Marcel Murray returns today after missing both of the first two games. A bit surprised that the Chanticleers getting points at home in this one. For me, I'll take this very good Coastal Carolina plus the points and won't be surprised by a straight up win. |
|||||||
10-02-20 | Louisiana Tech +24.5 v. BYU | 14-45 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 9 m | Show
No 22 BYU definitely loaded once again this year and they are eying a perfect season and maybe a playoff berth. The Cougars are led by junior QB Zach Wilson who led the Cougars to a easy win last week over Troy, 48-7. Louisiana Tech is coming off a 10-3 record last year and is unbeaten this year. Luke Anthony is at QB and he also has this offense running smooth. The big difference is in defense where BYU has allowed 10 points over the last two weeks while La Tech has allowed 68. La Tech has covered their last four games and they get 24 1/2 points here today from BYU. Anthony has thrown for 463 yards and eight TD's so far this year. While BYU is the better team, I believe that 24 1/2 points is too many to give a dynamic La Tech offense. Take the points, play Louisiana Tech. |
|||||||
09-28-20 | Chiefs v. Ravens OVER 54.5 | 34-20 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 35 m | Show
This looks to be the marquee matchup of the week as the defending NFL Champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the 2-0 Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs had to come-from-behind last week against the Chargers with a 14-3 fourth quarter to win in OT, 23-20, and start their season 2-0. Meanwhile, the Ravens rushed for 230 yards in their win over the Houston Texans last week, 33-16. It was the Ravens 15th game with at least 200 yards rushing since 2018. The Chiefs are 15-5-1 Over/Under in their last 21 games as a dog. They have also gone over in five of the last seven Monday Night games. Ravens are 5-1 O/U in their last six home games as a favorite and 4-1 o/u their last five overall. This promises to be an exciting game, I'm going to take the OVER here tonight. |
|||||||
09-28-20 | Chiefs +3.5 v. Ravens | Top | 34-20 | Win | 100 | 21 h 18 m | Show |
This looks to be the marquee matchup of the week as the defending NFL Champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the 2-0 Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 road games as dog. Moreover, they are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 road games. The Ravens are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games but just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 as a home favorite. The Chiefs are 6-3 S/U in their last nine vs the Ravens and 4-1 in Baltimore. This promises to be an exciting game, but for me I can't pass on a field goalwith this Chiefs club. Take Kansas City. |
|||||||
09-27-20 | Cowboys v. Seahawks OVER 56.5 | 31-38 | Win | 100 | 17 h 27 m | Show
All you can say is WOW about last week's come from behind win by the Dallas Cowboys over the Atlanta Falcons. The Cowboys can thank their special teams for that win, 40-39. They needed a late TD, then the onside kick and winning field goal all within the last two minutes of the game. Meanwhile, the Seahawks had to hold on until the literally the last second to beat the Patriots last week, 35-30. They stopped QB Cam Newton on the one yard line as time ran out for the win. Russell Wilson has been unbelievable, tossing FIVE touchdowns last week. Not sure how the Cowboys can stop Russell Wilson. Their only hope is to keep the ball out of his hands. I don't see that really happening as this game should have a lot of points. Take the OVER. |
|||||||
09-27-20 | Lions v. Cardinals OVER 55.5 | 26-23 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 27 m | Show
The 0-2 Detroit Lions take on the 2-0 Arizona Cardinals today at State Farm Stardium in Phoenix. Last time these clubs met was a 27-27 tie to start the 2019 season. The Lions are really kicking themselves because they could easily be 2-0. They blew a 23-6 fourth quarter lead to the Bears in week one and then had a 14-3 lead last wee they couldn't hold. Arizona is 2-0 behind a very good rushing game that has 150+ yards in each of the first two games. The Cardinals also got a boost in the passing game with DeAndre Hopkins coming over from the Texans. Hopkins has 22 receptions this year. A very high total in this at around 55 points. However, the Cardinals are putting up big numbers and the Lions will have to keep pace. I'm taking the OVER. |
|||||||
09-27-20 | Panthers +6.5 v. Chargers | 21-16 | Win | 100 | 17 h 6 m | Show
The Carolina Panthers are 0-2 to start the season and now they play without their superstar running back in Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey was initially thought lost for 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain, but he's saying he will be back much sooner than that. The Panther lost last week to the Buccaneers, 17-31. Meanwhile, the Chargers led the entire way against the Chiefs last week and looked for the big upset. However, the Chiefs forced OT and eventually beat the Chargers, 20-23. It was the Chargers first game at SoFi Stadium. Justin Hebert made his debut for the Chargers at QB. Tyrod Taylor was ruled out at game time and Herbert made his first NFL start. He put up good numbers with 311 passing yards, one TD passing and one rushing. The Panthers getting seven points here on Sunday. Consider that the Chargers have lost 10 games by seven points or fewer since 2019. That means they play a lot of close games. McCaffrey is a huge loss as he accounts for over 30% of the teams offense. But, I will take the touchdown here on Sunday with the Panthers. |
|||||||
09-27-20 | Rams v. Bills OVER 46.5 | 32-35 | Win | 100 | 14 h 2 m | Show
Battle of undefeated teams here on Sunday has the 2-0 Rams playing at the 2-0 Buffalo Bills. Long trip East for the Rams, which is never easy on the West coast teams. The Bills, which have been known as a defensive team, have been putting up some big offensive numbers behind QB Josh Allen. The Bills are averaging 29 points per game and 463 yards per game (No 3). The Rams are averaging 28.5 ppg and 435 yards per game (No 5). Allen had four TD's last week vs the Dolphins and over 400 passing yards. Stephen Diggs was a great addition to the team, tied in the NFL with 239 receiving yards. The Rams won at Philly last week, 37-19 as QB Jarod Goff had three TD passes. Both teams are firing on all cylinders on offense. I'm taking the OVER. |

09-27-20 | Raiders v. Patriots -6.5 | Top | 20-36 | Win | 100 | 14 h 1 m | Show |
Las Vegas Raiders flying high after starting the season 2-0, including that emotional Monday Night win over the Saints in their new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Raiders then got a huge send off to New England from the fans and a police escort. Now reality hits though as they had to fly the long West to East distance to Foxboro. Never easy for the West teams to go East, but this one is going to be tough. They have lost their high draft rookie in WR Ruggs with a few nagging injuries. Now, their two best players, TE Waller and RB Jacobs are both hurting and questionable for this game. The Patriots came literally within inches of beating the Seahawks last week on the game's last play. QB Cam Newtown got stopped short and that's why the club is 1-1 now and not 2-0 as they could easily be. This is going to be an emotional letdown game for the Raiders and if they are missing those three players or they are hurting, this could be a long day for the Raiders. My top play today is on the Patriots as they bring the Raiders back down to earth. |

09-26-20 | West Virginia +7 v. Oklahoma State | 13-27 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 52 m | Show
West Virginia and Oklahoma State both opened with wins. Not surprising for WVU as they usually start out hot, evidenced by their 7-1 spread record in their last eight September games. The Mountaineers had the week off to prepare for this game after an easy win over Eastern Kentucky, 56-10. Oklahoma State struggled in their game against intrastate rival Tulsa, eaking out the win, 16-7 as a 23 point favorite. Problem was, the Pokes lost QB Spencer Sanders early on and never really got it going after that. Sanders is questionable for this game with an ankle injury. West Virginia getting around a TD in this one and I like the Mountaineers to win this game, even if Sanders does make it back. Take West Virginia. |
|||||||
09-26-20 | Tulane v. Southern Miss +3.5 | 66-24 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 52 m | Show
It was a rough week for both of these teams last week. First, Tulane led Navy 24-0 and lost as time expired, 24-27. So Miss led the entire game, only to lose with 14 second remaining on a 4th down pass to Louisiana Tech, 30-31. Tulane continues to build its game around the run game, which had 265 yards against Navy. Freshman Tyjae Spears had 119 yards in the loss. Southern Miss is led by QB Jack Abraham. Abraham was 24-for-32 last week for 264 yards and three TD's. Southern Miss has already lost two at home and they sure don't want to make it three in a row. More motivation on the Golden Eagles side here today. I'm taking Southern Miss. |
|||||||
09-26-20 | Iowa State -2.5 v. TCU | 37-34 | Win | 100 | 13 h 53 m | Show
Iowa State was supposed to be playing Oklahoma here today, but rescheduling due to the Covid virus and the Cyclones will have to settle for a road trip to TCU. Iowa state stumbled in its opener, losing to Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 14-31. Big plays killed the ISU team as they allowed a 95-yard kickoff return for a TD, a 78-yard pass play and a 83-yard punt return. TCU saw its opener scrubbed against SMU because of the virus. Brock Purdy returns to QB at Iowa State, but he will have to improve on a lackluster performance in week 1. TCU has many questions yet to be answered, but I know Purdy will be looking to have a standout game here on Saturday. Take Iowa State. |
|||||||
09-26-20 | Iowa State v. TCU UNDER 44 | 37-34 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 51 m | Show
Iowa State was supposed to be playing Oklahoma here today, but rescheduling due to the Covid virus and the Cyclones will have to settle for a road trip to TCU. TCU has many questions yet to be answered. One of which is whether Purdy will return to his form from last year. I'm taking the UNDER here and we'll see what happens with Purdy on Saturday. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
09-26-20 | Florida International v. Liberty -7.5 | 34-36 | Loss | -113 | 12 h 22 m | Show
Florida International plays its first game of the season here on Saturday. They will face a 1-0 Liberty team. Liberty opened with a win over Western Kentucky, 30-24. Auburn transfer Malik Willis had a great day at QB for Liberty with 168 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Hard to gauge this FIU team that hasn't played yet. I know what we are getting with Liberty and that's a solid offense with a dynamic QB at the helm. Take Liberty. |
|||||||
09-26-20 | Kentucky v. Auburn OVER 48 | 13-29 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 21 m | Show
SEC begins play today in college football as Kentucky takes on Auburn. Kentucky has won 18 games the last two seasons and could be a team to surprise a lot of people in the SEC this year. Auburn just continues to play excellent football under HC Gus Malzahn. Kentucky is led by a ground game that averages 278.8 ypg last year. Auburn returns their starting QB from last year, Bo Nix. Nix had 16 TDs and just 6 int's last year. This offense should be much better this year under Nix. The Kentucky ground game should get their share too. I'm taking the OVER here in this SEC opener. |
|||||||
09-25-20 | Middle Tennessee State v. UTSA -6.5 | 35-37 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 58 m | Show
Mid Tennessee State (MTS) looks for its first win of the season after a pair of blowout losses. The Blue Raiders were destroyed by Army, 0-42 and then last week by Troy, 14-47. Texas San Antonio (UTSA) won in double OT against Texas State week 1, 51-48, and then beat Stephen Austin last week, 24-10. A win here today by UTSA and they could crack the top 25 poll as they are already receiving votes. The way MTS has been blown out their first two games I don't expect their defense to be able to stop this UTSA club. I'll lay the points in this one. Play UTSA. |
|||||||
09-24-20 | Dolphins v. Jaguars OVER 47 | 31-13 | Loss | -114 | 69 h 41 m | Show
We saw lots of points last week in the NFL as it looks like the offenses are ahead of defenses so far. We also saw lots of big name injuries with 7 ACL injuries sustained by players across the league. The Miami Dolphins showed they can move the ball against one of the best defenses in the league in Buffalo, coming up just short 28-31. The Dolphins fell to 0-2 after that loss. Jacksonville also showing they have some offense as they gave Tennessee all it could handle last week finally losing in OT, 30-33. Jags QB Minshew threw for 339 and 3 TD's in the loss. The Jags also out gained the Titans, 480-354 yards. Both these teams have shown they can score against good defenses and today this one should be an all out offensive battle. I'm taking the OVER. |
|||||||
09-24-20 | UAB v. South Alabama +7 | 42-10 | Loss | -113 | 8 h 46 m | Show
Both teams come into Thursday's contest with 1-1 records thus far. UAB Blazers started their season with a Thursday win over Central Arkansas, 45-35. They followed that with a Thursday loss to Miami Florida, 31-14. The Blazers got last week off before now playing their third game on a Thursday. The S.Alabama Jaguars opened with a dog win over Southern Miss, 32-21 in their opening game. Last week the Jags built a big lead over Tulane before losing that one in the final moments, 24-27. UAB will be without their QB, Tyler Johnston, who suffered a non-throwing shoulder injury. That leaves the starting job to redshirt freshman, Bryson Lucero, who will make his first college start. S.Alabama will also have a new starter in Chance Lovertich. Lovertich came into the Tulane contest and completed 18-of-29 passes for 247 yards. I'm sticking with South Alabama here tonight against this first time freshman starter. I think the oddsmakers got this one totally wrong as I believe South Alabama can win this one straight up. Take S.Alabama. |
|||||||
09-21-20 | Saints v. Raiders OVER 48.5 | 24-34 | Win | 100 | 4 h 3 m | Show
The Raiders begin their era in Las Vegas inside their brand new Allegiant stadium. The Raiders won a high scoring affair last week at Carolina, while the New Orleans Saints upended the Tom Brady led Tampa Bay Bucs. QB Drew Brees will be without his favorite target though as WR Michael Thomas is out indefinitely with a ankle injury. Even though there won't be a stadium full of Vegas fans here on Monday, it will still be an exciting beginning for the city and the Raiders. Both of these teams had little trouble putting up big points last week. Both teams have potent offenses and early on it looks like defenses in the NFL are behind the offenses. I'm taking OVER tonight between New Orleans and Las Vegas. |
|||||||
09-21-20 | Saints v. Raiders +6 | Top | 24-34 | Win | 100 | 21 h 41 m | Show |
The Raiders begin their era in Las Vegas inside their brand new Allegiant stadium. For me this is too many points to lay the Raiders. I won't be surprised by a straight-up Raiders win here on Monday, but I'll gladly take the points. Play LV Raiders. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Patriots v. Seahawks -4 | 30-35 | Win | 100 | 22 h 6 m | Show
The Patriots began their post Tom Brady era with a win last week over the Miami Dolphins, 21-11 behind new QB Cam Newton. Seattle was carried by the arm of QB Russell Wilson last week to a win over the Atlanta Falcons, 35-28. Wilson had a QB rating of 143.1 after completing 31 of 35 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns. The Patriots obviously have to find someone to carry the ball as six different plays rushed for 20 or more yards last week vs Miami. I feel that the Pats were lucky they played a weak Miami team last week and were able to see what they have. Personally, I don't think they have much and today it's going to show. Russell Wilson looks like an MVP once again and I look for him to give the Patriots all kinds of fits here on Sunday. My favorite play on Sunday is in this game and it's on the Seahawks. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Rams v. Eagles | 37-19 | Loss | -123 | 15 h 46 m | Show
The Eagles blew a 17-0 lead last week vs Washington. However, the Eagles get back some players this week and should play much better. The Eagles were outscored 0-27 after jumping out to that lead over Washington. The Eagles have won the last six meetings with the Rams. They have also averaged 32.2 points in their last six with the Rams. For me, the Rams making the long trip East is always tough on the West coast teams. I like the Eagles here on Sunday. Play Philadelphia. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Giants +5.5 v. Bears | 13-17 | Win | 100 | 15 h 46 m | Show
The Chicago Bears needed a 21-0 fourth quarter rally last week against the Lions to pull out a win, 27-23. QB Mitch Trubisky tossed three touchdowns in the win for the Bears. The Giants looking to avoid another 0-2 start to the season. Giants RB Saquon Barkley rushed for just six yards last week in their loss. The problem I see with both these teams lie in their respective defenses. The Bears allowed 426 yards to the Lions last week to go with 23 points. Giants QB Jones had another solid week last week but they played against a very good Steelers defnse. Won't be same here today though as Barkley and Jones should do much better vs the Bears defense. I'm taking the Giants not to go 0-2 once again. Play the Giants. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Falcons v. Cowboys OVER 53 | 39-40 | Win | 100 | 15 h 45 m | Show
Dallas lost their opener last week at the LA Rams, 19-22. The Rams Brett Maher hit a 42-yard field goal as time expired to pull out the win for the Rams. New head Coach Mike McCarthy wasn't happy with the outcome last week and will not want to start the season 0-2 with his new club. The Falcons lost a shootout with the Falcons last week, 25-38. QB Matt Ryan threw for 450 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the loss. With Ryan at QB, Julio Jones at Wide Out and Todd Gurley in the backfield, this team should be potent on offense. Dallas lost another one score game, their seventh since last season. I don't look for much defense in this one. I'm taking the OVER and will enjoy the offensive show. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Jaguars v. Titans OVER 44 | 30-33 | Win | 100 | 15 h 45 m | Show
No one really has given the Jacksonville Jaguars much of a chance heading into this season. They lost star RB Leonard Fortnette and they have arguably the most vanilla QB in Gardner Minshew. however, Minshew shined last week, copleting 19 of 20 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns. He becomes just one of three QB's all-time to have a completion rate of 95% or more in a game. The Titans pulled out a late win at Denver last week, 16-14. Ryan Tannehill had to throw more than normal and had 249 yards and two touchdowns. The Titans shouldn't have much issues dominating this Jaguars defense here on Sunday. If Minshew can be nearly as efficient as last week then this game will go over. I'm taking the OVER here today. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Lions v. Packers OVER 49.5 | 21-42 | Win | 100 | 15 h 44 m | Show
Green Bay should be very confident coming into today's clash with the Lions that they can start the season 2-0. They had a score fest last week with Minnesota, winning that offensive battle, 43-34. The Packers racked-up 522 yards, second most ever in one of their division road games. Detroit will have to do better in the 4th quarter then they did last week, getting outscored 0-21. The Bears trailed 6-23, but that unanswered 21 points gave Chicago the win, 27-23. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 364 yards and four touchdowns. Once again, I see a lot of points in this one as the Packers will pile up the yards and points once again. Play OVER. |
|||||||
09-20-20 | Panthers v. Bucs OVER 46.5 | 17-31 | Win | 100 | 15 h 44 m | Show
Tampa Bay had a rough time in the debut of QB Tom Brady. Brady and the Bucs jumped out to a 7-0 lead but that was about all the good news they had. Brady even threw a rare pick-six. The Bucs now have a NFL high of 44 turnovers since the start of last year. The Panthers lost at home last week to the Las Vegas Raiders, 30-34. Brady should have an easy time here today against this young Panthers defense that allowed 34 last week to the Raiders. I expect a lot of points in this one and I'm going with the OVER. |
|||||||
09-19-20 | Texas State -4 v. UL-Monroe | 38-17 | Win | 100 | 28 h 47 m | Show
UL Monroe looks to do better this week after Army ran rough shot over them last week to the tune of 7-37. Sure, they were about a 25-point dog, but they were never in that game. Texas State is 0-2 following a loss last week to Texas San Antonio. The Bobcats came from way back to for OT at 41-41 but finally lost in OT 48-51. The Cats were favorites in that game but trailed bit at halftime. Texas State has allowed an average of 521 yards so far this year. Texas State is averaging 445 yards on offense so far. Texas State was without Memphis transfer QB Brady McBride who had to sit out with Covid protocols. Junior Tyler Vitt started in his place and started last year, threw for 346 yards and 4 TD's in the loss. UL Monroe Warhawks return just six starters on offense and eight on defense. The Hawks gained only 200 yards of offense vs Army. Texas State has played two games and both were close while Monroe was blown out. No matter which QB starts for State, they should be able to dominate this Monroe defense. I'll lay the points here with the road team. Play Texas State. |
|||||||
09-19-20 | Louisiana Tech v. Southern Miss -5 | Top | 31-30 | Loss | -115 | 28 h 47 m | Show |
The La Tech Bulldogs had to miss their opening game of the season because of Covid, so today will be their opener. Tech lost their third Conference USA title last year in a tie breaker to UAB. Problem is they had a lot of seniors on that team from last year and this year return few starters. Southern Miss looks to rebound from last week's poor showing against South Alabama, losing by 11 as a big favorite. Can't really fault the Golden Eagles after all the craziness of this year and surreal experience of playing in empty stadiums at home in Hattiesburg. Now with game done, I expect a much better effort this week out of the Golden Eagles. With La Tech playing its first game here this week I look for some rust as Southern Miss had last week. I'm going to lay the points here with the host and expect to see a different Southern Miss club as I toss out last week's effort. Play Southern Miss. |
|||||||
09-17-20 | Bengals v. Browns UNDER 43.5 | Top | 30-35 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 32 m | Show |
This Thursday battle will feature two of the last three Heisman Trophy winners in Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield. As we have seen numerous times, just because you had success in college doesn't always translate to the NFL field. Burrow started his first game as member of the Bengals last week. Burrow led his team on two drives in the 4th quarter that could have tied or taken the lead from the LA Chargers. However, the first was resulted in Burrow's first interception of his NFL career and the second was a missed 31-yard field goal. Good news though tonight, one of these college standouts will get his team even at 1-1 while the other will drop to 0-2. The Browns were blown out last week at Baltimore, 6-38. This Browns offense needs to get on track early if they hope for success. They have the pieces, Mayfield at QB, Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb in the backfield and Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry at wide out. They just have trouble putting it all together. The Bengals didn't ask much of their young QB, with his longest completion coming in at just 19-yards. The Browns will need to clean up their sloppy play if they hope to do anything tonight. The Bengals will continue to nudge Burrow along. For me, this looks like a big under play. Take the UNDER. |
|||||||
09-14-20 | Titans v. Broncos +3 | Top | 16-14 | Win | 100 | 24 h 45 m | Show |
The Denver Broncos host the Tennessee Titans in the late Monday Night matchup. The Broncos haven't even played a game yet and are already having to deal with big injuries. Gone is Von Miller who will be lost for three months or more. Now Courtland Sutton is dealing with a sprained AC joint. Good news is that the Broncos have historically been a great team to bet on in their home opener. Denver is 22-3 S/U in their last 25 home openers and tonight they are a slight dog which makes that number come into play. Even without fans, the Broncos are one team that still carries a home field advantage into this game and that's the mile high altitude. The Titans came oh so close to a Super Bowl trip last year, losing in the AFC Championship game to the Chiefs. The Titans use their dominating rushing attack against their opponents. For me, the Broncos will do all they can to avoid that 0-4 start they had last year. That coupled with their great opening home record and the altitude will put me on the Broncos in this one. |
|||||||
09-13-20 | Cardinals +7 v. 49ers | 24-20 | Win | 100 | 17 h 4 m | Show
The defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers begin defense of their NFC crown here today with division rival Arizona. The 49ers won both game against the Cardinals last year, though they were both close games, 28-25 in Arizona and 36-26 at home (that game much closer than the final score). Will the 49ers come out and have a hangover from their Super Bowl appearance? Kliff Kingsbury returns as the Cardinals coach. Arizona got off to a bad start last year, going 0-4-1 in their first five games. However, they played pretty good the rest of the way, finishing at 5-10-1. Kyler Murray had flashes of brilliance last year and looks to build on that with his 2nd season as the starter at QB for the Cardinals. It was evident down the stretch last year that the 49ers wanted to run the ball and not put it in the hands of Garoppolo. Expect a lot of run here on Sunday. Still, the Cardinals gave them all they could handle last year and I look for that again here today. Take the points with Arizona. |
|||||||
09-13-20 | Bucs +3.5 v. Saints | 23-34 | Loss | -106 | 17 h 4 m | Show
Great matchup here between two future hall of fame QB's in Tom Brady and Drew Brees. Brady brought his show South to Florida to head the Tampa Bay Bucs offense. Then recently the Bucs padded their backfield by signing Leonard Fournette to go with Ronald Jones. Brees looks to be playing his last season before retiring so you know the Saints will want him to go out with a Super Bowl. The Bucs will have to stop Alvin Kamara who has really killed them in recent meetings. Kamara just got a brand new contract so that weight will be lifted from his shoulders. So with Brady at QB, Rob Gronkowski coming out of retirement to join Brady, Ndamukong Suh coming over from teh Rams and Fournette also coming in - will this be too many star players? Will this Bucs team be able to come together and play together? Time will tell. Bucs get about a field goal here on Sunday. This might be my favorite game to watch and for me I'm taking the points with all the veterans who have come over to Tampa Bay. Take the Bucs. |
|||||||
09-13-20 | Chargers v. Bengals UNDER 42 | 16-13 | Win | 100 | 17 h 45 m | Show
Different looks for both these teams as we start the 2020 season. The LA Chargers parted with longtime QB Phillip Rivers as did the Cincinnati Bengals did with Andy Dalton. Cincy will start LSU rookie and top draft choice Joe Burrow. LA is going with Tyrod Taylor, though Taylor will likely give way to Justin Herbert sometime during the season. LA had to make the long trip East, which is never good for the West Coast teams. Taylor is a decent QB, but won't turn any heads as the starter here. For me, I'm looking at the defenses being ahead of the offenses in this one. I expect a close, lower scoring contest. I'm taking the UNDER. |
|||||||
09-13-20 | Browns +8.5 v. Ravens | 6-38 | Loss | -130 | 14 h 41 m | Show
High expectations in Cleveland as they look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2002. The Baltimore Ravens had a great regular season last year and shocked many people with their high flying offense, but got derailed in the playoffs. They surely have expectations of making the Super Bowl in 2020. It might be nice if the Cleveland Browns could keep a head coach, something they have had trouble doing. Since Baker Mayfield was drafted, the team has had four head coaches. Kevin Stefanski takes over this year as he comes over from the Vikings organization. The Ravens had the top offense in the NFL last year, averaging 33.2 points per game. Baltimore will run the ball a lot this year with four legitimate rushers in the backfield lead by 2nd round pick J.K Dobbins. If Mayfield can step it up a bit here today I expect them to cover this game. It's only week one, but I'll take the points with the Browns. |
|||||||
09-13-20 | Jets v. Bills UNDER 40 | 17-27 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 40 m | Show
The Buffalo Bills look to build off what was an excellent 2019 season that saw the club go 10-6 overall and a AFC Wild Card slot. The Jets were just 7-9 last season and finished third in the AFC East. The Jets have won two of their last three with the Bills. Sam Darnold had a very good rookie season last year throwing for over 3,000 yards. Le'Veon Bell had his worst season yet and looks to rebound this year for the Jets. Josh Allen was excellent at QB for the Bills. Allen had 17 rushing TD's last year to lead all NFL QB's. For me, I expect a low scoring game here with this excellent Buffalo defense. Take the UNDER. |
|||||||
09-13-20 | Dolphins +7.5 v. Patriots | Top | 11-21 | Loss | -130 | 14 h 38 m | Show |
NFL week 1 starts with a divisional game between the Dolphins and Patriots. Brian Flores spend 15 years in the Patriots organization and now returns as the head coach of the Dolphins. The Dolphins have won five of their last season openers. This will be a different look Patriots team as Tom Brady is gone at QB. Cam Newton takes over the helm at New England. The Dolphins know they can beat the Pats as they did at the end of the 2019 season. I'm taking the points here with the Dolphins in week one. |
|||||||
09-12-20 | Coastal Carolina +7 v. Kansas | 38-23 | Win | 100 | 28 h 8 m | Show
Late Saturday action has Coastal Carolina Chanticleers taking on the Kansas Jayhawks. Jayhawks were shocked by Coastal last year in Lawrence, 7-12. Now they will be looking for redemption as the Chaticleers make the trip once again here in 2020. Coastal went on to a 5-9 season last year and will be looking for its first ever bowl bid. Kansas finished 3-9 last year and ended the season on a four-game losing streak. Both teams are run oriented and will be looking for someone to take over the quarterback position. Kansas will also have a young defense and have its hands full stopping a good Coastal running attack. Coastal Carolina will have plenty of optimism since they know they can beat this Kansas team. Kansas also dealing with a number of active Covid-19 cases, which could further diminish the club's depth. I think this will be another close game. I'm taking the points in this one with the visitors. Play Coastal Carolina. |
|||||||
09-12-20 | Western Kentucky +12.5 v. Louisville | 21-35 | Loss | -115 | 26 h 47 m | Show
Rivalry game here as Western Ky takes on intrastate foe, Louisville. The W.Ky Hilltoppers return the Conference USA defensive player of the year in DeAngelo Malone. Malone recorded 11.5 sacks last year and will give this young Louisville offensive line fits all night. The Hilltoppers also had one of the best pass defenses, ranking fourth in the Conference USA with just 211 yards per game allowed through the air. Louisville was 8-5 last year under Scott Sattersfield. That was after the previous year which was a disastrous 2-10. The Cardinals are laying 11- points here in the opener. They typically are slow starters and with this very good W Ky defense, I'll take the points. Play Western Kentucky. |
|||||||
09-12-20 | UL-Lafayette +11.5 v. Iowa State | 31-14 | Win | 100 | 30 h 56 m | Show
The UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns take on the Iowa State Cyclones Saturday to start their 2020 season. This was not a game originally scheduled, but due to the Covid-19 these teams had to shuffle their schedules and as such now play each other. ULL is a team that looks to be improved under 3rd year coach Billy Napier. They had 11 wins last year and Sun Belt West Division title. The Cajuns return 16 starters so this should be another very good ULL team. Iowa State also looks for an improved season in 2020. The program has had three winning seasons in a row under HC Matt Campbell and three consecutive Bowl trips. The Cyclones are led by QB Brock Purdy. This will be the first meeting between these schools and it looks to be one of the best on Saturday. While I believe Iowa State wins this game, I do think that this is too many points to give a very good ULL club. I'll take the points with the dog in this one. Play UL Lafayette. |
|||||||
09-10-20 | Texans +10 v. Chiefs | 20-34 | Loss | -125 | 35 h 51 m | Show
The NFL is back and we start off with the defending NFL champion Chiefs in a replay of their AFC Championship Game win over the Texans, 51-31. That game was a different world, one with the Pandemic and daily NFL testing. Many players have opted out of the season. For the Chiefs that includes Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, right guard. The biggest loss is RB Damien Williams, the Chief's leading rusher in 2019. That puts first round draft pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the hot spot this season. The Chiefs defining crowd will be reduced to 22% of capacity and masks will be required. Gone for the Texans is WR Hopkins, who has taken his show elsewhere. It's going to be a different season, that's for sure. I like to go against the defending Super Bowl champion in their first game of the next season. A lot of points here for the Texans and I'll take them. Play Houston. |

09-07-20 | BYU -1 v. Navy | 55-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show
Both these teams lost their openers to some big rivals due to the pandemic. The BYU Cougars were set to take on Utah before the Mountain West opted out of this season. The Navy Midshipmen were set to play in Ireland against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Now they settle for their openers here tonight against each other. Navy won 11 games last year including a Liberty Bowl victory over Kansas State. BYU had a mediocre year at 7-6, but did get to the Hawaii Bowl where they lost to Hawaii, 34-38. BYU will have to rebuild at Wideout, with their top four receivers from last year all missing. Running back will be by committee this year. Navy has the difficult task of replacing Malcolm Perry. Perry was 2nd in the FBS last year with 2,018 rushing yards and tied for 1st with 21 TD's. Navy is 5-0 in their last five home openers under Ken Niumatalolo. However, those have all come against FCS opponents and now Navy moves up in class to face BYU in their opener. I look for a close game here as the line indicates, but I give the edge to BYU in this one. Play BYU. |

09-05-20 | Arkansas State +19.5 v. Memphis | 24-37 | Win | 100 | 34 h 8 m | Show
These teams were two of the highest scoring teams in the FBS last year with Memphis averaging 39.3 ppg and the Red Wolves coming in at 33.1 ppg. Memphis has a new head coach in Ryan Silverfiled and losses running back Kenneth Gainwell (opted out due to Virus). Brady White at QB is what this team is all about. White Threw for over 4,000 yards last year. Arkansas State has Layne Hatcher at QB after his freshmen year that saw him start nine games. Very high total here at 74, but I'm going to take the 19 points with the dog. Arkansas State should be able to put up points here and I'm not sure if Memphis will score enough to cover this huge line. Take the dog, Arkansas State. |
|||||||
09-05-20 | Middle Tennessee State v. Army -3.5 | 0-42 | Win | 100 | 2 h 18 m | Show
Middle Tennessee State (MTS) Blue Raiders were only 4-8 overall last year and looking for improvement this year. Army Black Knights weren't much better at 5-8 overall. However, Army did finish 3rd overall in the nation in rushing. The Blue Raiders do return both QB's from last year and look for them to use them both. Army has a new QB in Christian Anderson. Sandon McCoy returns at running back where he rushed for 576 yards last year. This game looks to be somewhat close, but I give the edge here to Army now that the line has dropped from five to 3 1/2 points. Take Army and look for them to control the ball on the ground against a suspect MTS defense. |
|||||||
09-03-20 | South Alabama v. Southern Miss UNDER 57.5 | 32-21 | Win | 100 | 11 h 13 m | Show
College football is back! At least pandemic style and missing some teams. Still, we get football here on Thursday night. This game looks to pit the Southern Miss offense against a suspect South Alabama defense. Southern Miss Golden Eagles averaged just over 26 ppg last year. However, most of that was through the air as the team struggled on the ground (121st ranked rushing). South Alabama did have trouble stopping the run last year (ranked 98th). So we'll see if Southern Miss looks to establish a rushing game here tonight. South Alabama's offense is pretty much all on the ground. They were 54th last year in rushing yards with 171.4 yards per game. Expect these teams to be rusty here in their first game and defense to dominate this game. I'm playing UNDER. |
|||||||
08-29-20 | Austin Peay State +3 v. Central Arkansas | 17-24 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 11 m | Show
While it may not be the opening of college football we are used to seeing, it's still college football in the FCS here as Austin Peay Governors take on the Central Arkansas Bears. Central Arkansas returns 18 starters while Austin Peay has welcomes back 14 starters. Central Arkansas will be without their star right tackle in Parker Ray who is rehabbing a knee injury. Neither team was very good at rushing as Central Arkansas was in the bottom ten of the FCS in rushing yards. Both teams return their QB's and I look for plenty of yards through the air here todfay. I expect a close game here but an outright Austin Peay win. I'll take the points though with the AP Governors. |
|||||||
02-02-20 | 49ers +1.5 v. Chiefs | 20-31 | Loss | -110 | 139 h 60 m | Show
Realistically, you can make a case for either team in this Super Bowl. For me, it comes down to the ground control game of the 49ers vs the passing game of the Chiefs. Kyle Shanahan was on the losing end of Super Bowl 52 with the Falcons leading the Patriots 28-3. He has said he learned a lot from that loss and you know it weighs heavily on him here in this Super Bowl. He won't ask Jimmy Garrapolo to do much in this game, not that he has in the last two games. Jimmy G threw just eight times vs the Packers and they still scored over 30 points. It all comes down to the 49ers running game vs the Chiefs defense. For me, if the Niners get out to a lead they will take the air out of the ball and the ball out of Garappolo's hands. Expect to see a lot of Mostert running in this game. I don't think the 49ers can be a come from behind team and ride the arm of Jimmy G, they need to get out front here and keep the Chiefs offense off the field. I believe that Shanahan learned from his prior mistakes and will get out in front and be more conservative. I'm going to take the 49ers here in Super Bowl 54 |
|||||||
01-19-20 | Packers v. 49ers -7.5 | 20-37 | Win | 103 | 101 h 3 m | Show
NFC Championship game here as the winner earns the right to head to the Super Bowl. The Packers jumped out to a big halftime lead over the Seahawks last week and then held on tight for the win, 23-28, just covering the 4 1/2 point spread. The Hawks went for two on a crucial play that ended up being the difference in the cover for the Packers. The 49ers had a much easier time with the Minnesota Vikings. The two teams tied at 7-7 to end the first quarter, but after that it was all 49ers as they easily pulled away for the win. This is a rematch of the week 12 matchup as the 49ers easily beat the Packers in San Francisco, 37-8. The 49ers defense was on display in that game just as it was in last week's divisional series win over the Vikings. They have held four other opponents under 20 points on their home turf and I expect that the defense will once again be key to a 49ers win here on Sunday. I'm laying the points with the home team as the 49ers move on to the Super Bowl. Play San Francisco. |
|||||||
01-19-20 | Titans v. Chiefs OVER 52.5 | 24-35 | Win | 100 | 97 h 28 m | Show
I got my Playoff Total of the Year winner in easy fashion last week with the Texans and the Chiefs over. They actually went over in the 1st half of the game, scoring 52 combined points. I'm coming right back again here with the over in this game. The Chiefs offense looks like they can score at will once again. You really have to double both Hill and Kelse and that is just too difficult for teams to do. The Titans are a ground and pound team with Derick Henry just grinding out yardage. But beware, he can break the long ones too. Ryan Tannehill has been amazing this year at QB for the Titans after taking over the starting job. The Chiefs have some payback on their minds today. Not only did they lose to the Titans 32-35 back in week 10, but the Titans knocked them out of the playoffs back in the 2017 Wildcard game. The Titans have really been the surprise team of the playoffs with road wins over the Patriots and then last week shocking the Ravens, 28-12. Can they do it again? Don't expect the Chiefs to take those shockers lightly here. They will be ready for this game and I look for the Chiefs to want to start fast and avoid that 0-24 hole they put themselves in last week. I'm taking the OVER here on Sunday. |
|||||||
01-13-20 | Clemson +200 v. LSU | 25-42 | Loss | -100 | 112 h 54 m | Show
Then there was one! One game left in the college football bowls to determine who will be National Champions. Clemson comes in here as the 3rd ranked team and LSU 1st ranked. LSU had little trouble beating Oklahoma in their matchup as QB Joe Burrow destroyed the Sooner defense for 493 yards and Seven, yes seven touchdowns. You get those kind of numbers on video games. Clemson had a much tougher road with Ohio State, trailing 0-14 before mounting a comeback behind QB Trevor Lawrence and a winning drive. Really you can find stats to back up either side in this game. LSU and Burrow have all the offensive accolades while Clemson has the defense. LSU's defense shouldn't be overlooked though, as they gave Oklahoma all kinds of fits. But where Oklahoma and Clemson differ is in defense. Clemson has a great defense and will not let Burrows throw for 7 TD's and nearly 500 yards. The oddsmaker knows that people are in love with this LSU tam and Burrow in particular and they are making you pay for it in this line. I believe in this Clemson defense and I also believe they rise to the occasion here. They know they are being disrespected with all the talk about the Heisman winner and likely NFL No 1 pick in Burrow. I'm taking Clemson here on the Money Line. I believe they can win this game and as such we get about 2-to-1 on our money. That's great value to me with a team of this quality. Take Clemson on the money line. |
|||||||
01-12-20 | Texans v. Chiefs OVER 51 | Top | 31-51 | Win | 100 | 28 h 58 m | Show |
Playoff Total of the Year: The Divisional playoffs here on Sunday and Jim Feist has his best total of the playoffs going. Last time these teams met back on Oct 13, it was a 31-24 win by Houston. Deshaun Watson threw for 280 yards in that game. The Texans had to overcome a 0-16 deficit to the Bills last week before coming back for the win and cover 19-16 in OT. JJ Watt returned for that game and had a big sack that sparked the Texans. The Chiefs won their last six games of the season (five after their bye). The big news for Houston today is that WR Will Fuller should play. The Offense is so much better with Fuller to compliment DeAndre Hopkins and take pressure off him. The Chiefs defense has been much improved, but where they lack is the secondary and the return of Fuller could be a big plus here to the Texans offense. Lets face it, this one should be a shootout. I expect both teams to score in the 30's here today. With Fuller's return and a total in the low 50's I expect this game to fly OVER. Play OVER as your Playoff Total of the Year. |
|||||||
01-11-20 | Titans v. Ravens UNDER 47 | 28-12 | Win | 100 | 54 h 35 m | Show
The Tennessee Titans know they can't get into scoring match here today with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens just have too many offensive weapons to contend with. So how do the Titans plan to combat that? With ball control. I expect to see Tennessee get into a conservative, ground game here on Saturday with Derick Henry as the battering ram he's been all season long. That along with short passing from Ryan Tannehill and the Titans should keep that vaunted Baltimore offense on the bench. Unders took over the Wild Card round and I expect to see more of that here today. Should be light showers in Baltimore on Saturday with winds around 10-15 mph. Lets take the UNDER here with these two teams. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
01-11-20 | Vikings +7.5 v. 49ers | 10-27 | Loss | -130 | 53 h 14 m | Show
Division action from the NFC here will determine if the Vikings or the 49ers advance to the Conference Championship game. The Vikings pulled of the huge upset last week at New Orleans, 26-20 in OT. The Saints never got the ball in the OT period. That was the 2nd year in a row that the Saints lost in the playoffs in OT. The Vikings defense played very good, keeping the high flying Saints offense to just 20 points. The offense was back at full strength with Dalvin Cook returning from his shoulder injury and Adam Thielen catching that big OT ball to set up the win. The 49ers had a great season, though they did lose that tough home game to the Cardinals and then almost gave away the NFC West to the Seahawks on the last play of the game. HC Pete Carrol making another bonehead move as his team was hit with a delay of game on the 1 yard line. I'm still amazed at some bonehead moves Carrol makes in big games. The Vikings have rushed for 310 yards in their last two games and now have a healthy Dalvin Cook back. QB Kirk Cousins got that monkey off his back about not winning the big games and getting his first playoff victory. The 49ers defense struggled a bit down the stretch, which concerns me. The Vikings ground game will take pressure off Cousins here today. I expect this to be a close game, just like last week's for the Vikings. That means this 7 or 7 1/2 points is a mountain for the Niners to climb. San Francisco may win this game, but I don't think it will be by more than three-points or an outright loss here today. Take the Vikings plus the points. |
|||||||
01-11-20 | James Madison v. North Dakota State UNDER 50.5 | 20-28 | Win | 100 | 45 h 20 m | Show
It's the FCS Championship game from Frisco, Texas here on Saturday as James Madison takes on North Dakota State. James Madison is 14-1 on the season while N.Dakota State is a perfect 15-0. North Dakota State started the season ranked number one and they finished the season ranked number one. The Bison are now on a 36-game unbeaten streak as they look for a championship here on Saturday. They beat this James Madison teams for the 2017 title, 17-13. The Bison has the league's top scoring defense and is number 2 in total defense. James Madison is Number one in rushing defense while number three in scoring defense. Don't expect many big plays or a high scoring battle between these two defensive juggernauts here today. I'm taking the UNDER. |
|||||||
01-05-20 | Seahawks -1.5 v. Eagles | Top | 17-9 | Win | 100 | 149 h 37 m | Show |
To say that football can be a game of inches has never been more true than the Seattle Seahawks game with San Francisco in week 17. The Seahawks win that game and they get a bye this week and home games the rest of the playoffs. Lose and they hit the road this week for a Wildcard game. Well, with just seconds left, the Seahawks missed scoring a touchdown literally by inches. The Seahawks had first and goal at the 1-yard line with just a few seconds left and in comes Marshawn Lynch. But that would not be as the Hawks committed a cardinal sin and let the clock run out for a 5-yard penalty. Now it's 1st and goal at the 6-yard line with time for just one play. Wilson completed the pass to Hollister, but he was stopped just inches from the goal line and the 49ers win and clinch home field in the playoffs. Whew! You would think that would deflate the Seahawks. But I don't believe that. The Eagles won the NFC East with their win in week 17 over the Giants. Seattle will be No 5 seed with an 11-5 record but must travel to Philly this week. The Seahawks are a 1 1/2 point favorite here next Sunday. This is a rematch of their week 12 matchup in Philly where the Eagles were a 3-point favorite. The Seahawks won that previous meeting, 17-9. The Eagles have never beaten Russell Wilson, so they have their work cut out for them here today. The Eagles have won four straight to close the season and the Seahawks have lost two straight. For me, the Seahawks have had to play in the tough NFC West, while the Eagles played in the weakest division in football, the NFC East. The Seahawks, in my opinion, are the far better team and with this small line I look for them to sweep the Eagles this year. I love this matchup and will make it my WildCard Game of the Year. Take Seattle. |
|||||||
01-05-20 | Vikings v. Saints OVER 50 | 26-20 | Loss | -106 | 1 h 26 m | Show
The Vikings come into today's Wildcard game at New Orleans riding a two-game losing streak. The Vikings lost to Green Bay, 10-23 and then closed the regular season losing to the Bears, 19-21 - both at home. Meanwhile, the Saints are hitting on all cylinders as they enter the playoffs. The Saints are on a three-game win streak and have scored 34 points or more in four straight and six of their last seven games. I look for the Saints to continue their offensive outburst today and that means the Vikings will have to open the playbook to keep up here today. I'm taking the over in this game. Play OVER. |
|||||||
01-04-20 | Titans +5 v. Patriots | 20-13 | Win | 100 | 45 h 5 m | Show
It came down to the final week of the regular season for Tennessee to make the playoffs. They beat Houston 35-14, though Houston sat many regulars who were ailing with injuries or illness. The NE Patriots could have had a bye this week, but instead their loss in the final week of the regular season vs Miami Dolphins, 24-27 as a 17-point favorite. That led to them playing this game in the Wild Card round instead of having the week off. Tennessee was 2-4 to start the season, but rebounded the second half. Tennessee RB Henry is key here as don't think the Patriots have an answer for him. Tannehill took over at QB this year and the offense changed around after that horrible start. Expect Henry, Henry and more Henry from the Titans today. Take Tennessee. |
|||||||
01-04-20 | Bills v. Texans UNDER 43.5 | 19-22 | Win | 100 | 64 h 9 m | Show
The Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans both finished the season at 10-6. The Bills winning a AFC Wildcard and the Texans winning the AFC South division. Buffalo did lose their last two games of the season to the Patriots (17-24) and then last week at home to the Jets, 6-13. Though the latter they had no incentive to win that game. The defense has been great for this team, ranked 3rd overall in the NFL behind the Patriots and 49ers. The Houston Texans defense isn't very good, at least statistically as they rank 28th overall in the league. Houston does hold the edge in offense, ranking 13th to the Bills 24th. Buffalo has been good to under bettors, with five of their last six going Under and 12 of their 16 on the season going under. Houston had to rest some of their injured stars in the final game, including QB Deshaun Watson (back) and WR DeAndre Hopkins (illness). They should be fine here today. The big news though is the return of DE JJ Watt who tore his pectoral muscle and has missed about half the season. That could be big to the defensive side of the ball here today. Don't expect a lot of points in this one. The Bills defense is stout and with the return of Watt to the Texans defense they should be improved. I'm playing the UNDER here today. |
|||||||
01-04-20 | Bills v. Texans -2.5 | 19-22 | Win | 100 | 43 h 34 m | Show
The Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans both finished the season at 10-6. Houston had to rest some of their injured stars in the final game, including QB Deshaun Watson (back) and WR DeAndre Hopkins (illness). They should be fine here today. The big news though is the return of DE JJ Watt who tore his pectoral muscle and has missed about half the season. WR Will Fuller could also return here today as he's been battling a groin issue. With the rest the players got last week coupled with Fuller and Watt returning, I like the Texans at home here. Play Houston Texans. |
|||||||
01-03-20 | Ohio -7.5 v. Nevada | 30-21 | Win | 100 | 39 h 4 m | Show
The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl has Ohio U taking on Nevada. Both of these teams just did become bowl eligible with the Ohio Bobcats finishing at 6-6 and the Nevada Wolfpack finishing at 7-5. Ohio had to win its final two games of the season just to get here beating Bowling Green and Akron by a combined score of 118-27. Don't let their six losses fool you too much, as Ohio lost those six games by a combined 41-points. The Cats have also won their last two bowl games, the 2017 Bahamas Bowl and the 2018 Friso Bowl. The latter bowl they shutout a good San Diego State team, 27-0. Nevada finished the season with a bitter loss to their rival from the South, UNLV, 30-33. The game was marred by a brawl after the game that has led to some suspensions. Saftey Austin Arnol will miss two games, Corner Daniel Brown and DT Hausia Sekona also will not play today. Nevada will also play with three interim coaches on the defensive side. For me, these suspension will play the biggest role. Ohio's offense, which was flying high at the end of the season, will take advantage of these absences. I'm taking the Bobcats here. Play OHIO. |
|||||||
01-01-20 | Baylor +6 v. Georgia | 14-26 | Loss | -110 | 146 h 54 m | Show
Sugar Bowl here on New Year's day as No 7 Baylor takes on No 5 Georgia. Georgia just missed out on the playoff final four teams, finishing fifth in the country. Both teams had a chance to make the Football Playoffs, but both teams lost in their respective conference Championship games. Both of these defenses are excellent, as both allow fewer than 20 points. Georgia QB Fromm will likely be without two of his top targets in Lawrence Cager and Dominick Blaylock. That will be a big loss here for the Bulldogs. In a great defensive matchup like this I like taking the points. Take Baylor. |
|||||||
12-31-19 | Texas +7.5 v. Utah | 38-10 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
Alamo Bowl action here on New Year's eve has Texas taking on No 11. Utah. The Texas Longhorns finished the regular season with a win over Texas Tech, 49-24. The Longhorns defense is their Achille's heal, they had a terrible year. The good news, the Utah offense isn't exactly all that great. Utah had hopes getting into the College playoffs, but those hopes were dashed when they lost the PAC-12 Championship to Oregon. The big problem for Utah, as we are seeing more and more these years, are players opting out of the game for the NFL upcoming draft. That's the case here with Utah. The Utes will be missing some of their star players here. The defense is their key and one loss is star defensive cornerback Jaylon Johnson who opted out of today's game. They will have to content with WR Collin Johnson, who is returning from an injury. I'm going to take the touchdown here with the Longhorns. Play Texas. |
|||||||
12-30-19 | Virginia v. Florida OVER 55 | 28-36 | Win | 100 | 8 h 6 m | Show
The Orange Bowl tonight from Miami Florida has the Virginia Cavaliers taking on the Florida Gators. A bit of a home crowd favorite here for Florida, though they are a ways from their home field here in Miami. Florida is 9th ranked wile Virginia comes in as the 24th ranked team. Florida's is in the tough ACC where their only losses came to Georgia and top ranked LSU. On the other side, Virginia lost to a pair of unranked teams and also to Notre Dame. Virginia didn't fair well vs top 10 teams, getting blowout out in both and outscored 37-97. Florida has the 53rd ranked overall offense while Virginia is 82nd. Virginia allowed 92 points to close out their last two games of the season, including that blowout at the hands of Clemson, 17-62. The Cavaliers can score points though, evidenced by their 30 points or more in five of their last seven games. Florida can also score, with 34 or more points in six games this year. They closed the regular season with a win over Florida State, 40-17. The line is a bit big for me here today, but I do like the total. I expect lots of points in this game. Play the OVER. |
|||||||
12-30-19 | Western Michigan +3.5 v. Western Kentucky | 20-23 | Win | 100 | 66 h 44 m | Show
The First Responder Bowl on Monday has Western Michigan taking on Western Kentucky. These are teams that have had a long history a long time ago in the pre 1950 era. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are led by QB Ty Storey. Storey is a grad transfer who had 11 TD's and a 70% completion rate. The only bad thing is that Storey also had 10 INT's this year. WKY scored 20 points or more in all but one game this year, while averaging 30 ppg. They will have to cutdown on turnovers though, with 19 give aways this year. Western Michigan has a balanced attack with QB Jon Wassink and RB LeVante Bellamy. Bellamy was the MAC offensive player of the Year. They rely a lot on Bellamy, who had over 1400 yards and 23 rushing TD's this year. This is going to be if Western Kentucky's defense can stop the Western Michigan offense. I think this is a close game and as such I'll take the points with Western Michigan. |
|||||||
12-29-19 | Eagles v. Giants +4 | 34-17 | Loss | -105 | 41 h 43 m | Show
The Philadelphia Eagles win and they are the division champions and make the playoffs. They lose and they will need Dallas to lose to Washington at home to make the playoffs. If I was Philly I wouldn't count on that to happen. That puts them really in a must win spot here Sunday. The Giants would like nothing better than to spoil those hopes. Philly is 2-4 ATS in their last six games while the Giants have covered four of their last five at home. Philly also hasn't done well vs the Giants, going 1-4 ATS their last five vs New York. Saquon Barkley had a great week last week and looks to be healthy again after an injury. The Eagles will also be without some big weapons on offense in the person of TE Zack Ert who is out today along with WR Nelson Algholor who is out. They join Alson Jeffrey, the WR who is also out. Key offensive losses will make this a close game. I don't expect the Giants to go quietly here. Take the points with the Giants. Play New York. |
|||||||
12-29-19 | Colts -4 v. Jaguars | 20-38 | Loss | -110 | 41 h 43 m | Show
The Indianapolis Colts can still finish at 8-8 on the season with a win here today at Jacksonville. The Colts beat the Panthers last week, 38-6 while the Jags lost at Atlanta, 12-24. The Colts will look to duplicate their effort vs the Jags from week 11 in which they ran for 264 yards. They tallied 218 yards last week, so they are still hitting on all cylinders in the run game. The only incentive for the Colts here is to make it to .500 and I believe that's enough vs this poor Jacksonville team. Take the Colts. |
|||||||
12-29-19 | Raiders v. Broncos -3 | 15-16 | Loss | -124 | 41 h 42 m | Show
The Oakland Raiders still have a shot to make the playoffs, but it's a longshot. First, they have to win at Denver today and then they need about eight other things to happen to have a shot. All of which don't look probable. The Raiders snapped a four game losing streak last week with a win over the Chargers, 24-17. That 1-4 their last five games really hurt their playoff chances. They opened the season against the Broncos with a home win, 24-16. The Broncos hope to payback the effort here in the last game. The Broncos are off a home win over Detroit, 27-17. Von Miller returned, though he wasn't 100% healthy. The Broncos have looked like a new team with QB Lock starting the last four games. They have wins over the Chargers, Houston and Detroit. I look for Denver to end the Raiders playoff hopes today with a win. Play Denver. |
|||||||
12-29-19 | Steelers v. Ravens UNDER 37.5 | 10-28 | Loss | -110 | 41 h 42 m | Show
This game has no meaning to the Baltimore Ravens as they have already secured home field through the playoffs. As such, QB Lamar Jackson will take a seat and rest for this one. Also, Mark Ingram is hurting and will miss this game so he can rest for the playoffs. That's a good chunk of this Ravens offense that will miss this game. Throw in the fact that the Steelers have a very good offense and we might not see but a few points out of this Ravens team today. Devlin Hodges will be the starter for the Steelers at QB. He has not been too good with just 5 TD's and 8 INT's this year and a 75.8 passer rating. I'm going to take the UNDER in this one as I don't expect many points by either team. |
|||||||
12-29-19 | Titans -6 v. Texans | Top | 35-14 | Win | 100 | 41 h 44 m | Show |
These two AFC South foes close out the regular season here today. Tennessee has their playoff hopes on the line today. Good news for the Titans is that Houston QB Deshaun Watson is questionable with a back injury. Considering that Watson likely will miss this game, that will help the Titans immensely here. The Titans need this game and the Texans don't. Get on this one early, play the Titans. |
|||||||
12-29-19 | Falcons v. Bucs OVER 47 | 28-22 | Win | 100 | 37 h 17 m | Show
The Atlanta Falcons have finished strong at the end of the year with wins over Carolina, San Francisco and last week vs Jacksonville. They have also gone over in two of their last three games. They scored 29 points at San Francisco two weeks ago. Tampa Bay has been a scoring machine most of the year. They have scored 28 points or more in four of their last five games. They have also scored 30 points or more in seven games this year. The defense isn't all that good though and that will make for a high scoring game here on Sunday. I'm taking the OVER. |

12-28-19 | Clemson -2 v. Ohio State | 29-23 | Win | 100 | 274 h 16 m | Show
One of the Final four games here on December 28th has No 3 Clemson playing No 2 Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. Both these clubs went undefeated in FBS regular season. This is a rematch from three years ago and Clemson came away winners in that game as they went to win the Championship. This game will be all about the Clemson defense vs the Ohio State offense. Clemson has the nation's overall top rated defense, allowing just 245 yards per game. They also have one of the best redzone efficiency ratings of 53.7%. Ohio State has the 5th ranke offense in the country, averaging 531 yards per game. Clemson ranks 3rd in offense with 548 yards per game. Ohio State is one of the few FBS teams allowing fewer than 100 yards per game, which will be put to the task against this potent Clemson offense today. Clemson will be tasked with containing Ohio State QB Justin Fields. Fields had 40 passing TD's this year and only one INT. For me, Clemson is just too talented on both sides of the ball and with that many weapons and laying just one point here today, I'm taking the defending National Champions in what could be a high scoring game. Play Clemson. |

12-28-19 | Oklahoma +14 v. LSU | 28-63 | Loss | -106 | 45 h 27 m | Show
Playoff game here as No 1 LSU takes on No 4 Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl from Atlanta, GA. This marks the first time we'll see a Heisman trophy winner in Joe Burrows vs OK QB Jalen Hurts. Oklahoma finished the season 12-1 with their only loss coming at Kansas State. This is a high flying offense with Hurts tossing for over 3,600 yards and 32 TD's. This is the nation's 2nd ranked overall offense. They will have their work cut out for them gainst this LSU defense. Plus, the Sooners will have to contend with Joe Burrows and that LSU offense, ranked No 1 in the country. Burrows has thrown for over 4,700 yards and 48 TD's with the Tigers being undefeated this year. Oklahoma's defense is much improved over last year, ranking 24th overall in the country. I think this one comes down to if Hurts can do damage on the ground as he has done most of the year. LSU is going to have to account for Hurts and that could be a key here. I'm going to take the double-digit points with an Oklahoma offense I believe can stay up with LSU. Play Oklahoma. |

12-28-19 | Memphis v. Penn State -6.5 | 39-53 | Win | 100 | 17 h 14 m | Show
Two more teams that have never met before will matchup here in the Cotton Bowl. The Nittany Lions were 10-2 in the regular season. Memphis was 12-1 in the regular season under new HC Ryan Silverfield. Memphis has a top 10 ranked offense this year with 40.5 ppg average. QB Brady White is the leader with 33 touchdowns and 3,560 yards passing. For Penn State it's all about the defense, especially stopping the run. This will make getting Kenneth Gainwell starting tough. This Penn State defense will be the best Memphis has faced all season. This PSU defense is the only one that was able to handle Ohio State for most of the game. They should have little trouble containing Memphis. I'm taking Penn State. |

12-28-19 | Iowa State +3.5 v. Notre Dame | 9-33 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 14 m | Show
First meeting every between these teams and that's with both teams being in existence since the 1800's. They finally meet here on Saturday in the Camping World Bowl. No 14 Notre Dame finished the season 10-2 and a 5-0 record in November. Not so for Iowa State, that ended their season losing three of their last five. I have to wonder how much Notre Dame will be into this game considering they had a legitimate chance at the Playoffs. Iowa State finished 7-5, however of their five losses four of those came to ranked teams. I like the points here with Iowa State. |

12-27-19 | Washington State v. Air Force OVER 67 | 21-31 | Loss | -115 | 252 h 16 m | Show
The Cheezit Bowl from Phoenix Arizona has PAC 12 Washington State vs Mountain West Air Force. Air Force returns to a Bowl after missing 2017 and 2018. The Falcons won 10 games this year, covering five of their last six games. The defense was very good, allowing 21 points or fewer in their last four games. Washington State looked like gangbusters out of the gate this year, winning its first three games and outscoring their opponents 148-48. Then came that shoot-out loss to UCLA, 63-67. After that they went 1-4 their next five games. The Cougars ended the regular season ranked 6th in the nation in total offense under HC Mike Leach. They will have to face one of the most prolific rushing offenses in Air Force. The Falcons rushed for an average of 293 yards per game this year. This won't be good for a Washington State team that ranked 113th in total defense and allowed an average of 170 yards on the ground. That being said, Mike Leach is an offensive mastermind and he'll go toe-to-toe with the Falcons running game here in the Cheezit Bowl. I'm taking the over in this on and enjoying the show. Play OVER. |

12-27-19 | Oklahoma State v. Texas A&M OVER 53.5 | Top | 21-24 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
The Texas Bowl on Friday has No 25 Oklahoma State taking on Texas A&M. The Ok State Cowboys have won four of their last five games, but lost last time out. The offense was the highlight of this team, averaging 33.6 ppg, with 227 yards passing and 236 yard rushing. The Cowboys have one of the most balanced attacks in the nation. The problem has been defense with the Cowboys, allowing 27 ppg this season. They will have to improve if they hope to beat A&M here today. Texas A&M went from nine wins last season to just seven wins this year as they look to grab that eighth win today. The Aggies averaged 30 ppg and also has an excellent offense. For me, I'm going to pass on a side here today and look for these offenses to light the score board. I'm taking the OVER today. |

12-26-19 | Miami-FL v. Louisiana Tech +6.5 | 0-14 | Win | 100 | 150 h 46 m | Show
Independence Bowl action here on Thursday with afternoon start time between Miami Florida and Louisiana Tech. Miami is coming off a season ending loss at Duke, 17-27. It was the team's 2nd straight loss to finish the season both S/U and ATS. La Tech finished their season with a win at home over Texas San Antonio, 41-27, but failed to cover the 20-point line. It was the club's third straight spread loss after winning four straight. The Tech offense, which ranked 30th in total offense, faces a Miami defense ranked 16th vs the run and 22nd vs the pass. Miami had just a 6-6 year and just got to bowl eligible. With losses to Florida International and Duke, it was not a good finish to the season. Miami's offense has been inconsistent all season while the defense has been strong. However, the defense did wear down those final two games and face a solid offense here today. For me, Louisiana Tech getting 6 1/2 points is a bonus since I look for a straight up Tech win. Play Louisiana Tech. |
