04-21-19 | Warriors v. Clippers +9.5 | 113-105 | Win | 100 | 5 h 29 m | Show
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 3:30 ET Clippers (+) over Warriors- Well, it appears that Golden State has established that they 'can' turn it on whenever they what as they pound the opposition when they are ready. The Warriors seem to take get pleasure in taking down the Clippers and are 6-1 ATS in their last seven meetings in LA. The Clippers have gone 26-16 SU at home and will come ready themselves this afternoon. Take the CLIPPERS! |
04-21-19 | Celtics v. Pacers +3 | 110-106 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 2 m | Show
Boston at Indiana 1:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- They say that statistics never lie and when we look at 'them' for this series it is easy to see why Boston is up 3-0 as they have out-rebounded the Pacers 148-118 through the three games. This is the same Celtics team that couldn't play nice together during the regular season. Boston has turned it on down the stretch going 8-1 SU in their last nine and 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight overall. With their backs to the wall the Pacers are 4-1-1 ATS following an ATS loss. Take INDIANA! |
04-20-19 | Rockets v. Jazz -125 | Top | 104-101 | Loss | -125 | 11 h 58 m | Show |
Houston at Utah 10:30 ET Jazz (-) over Rockets- I had to do a quick double-take when I saw the Jazz come up favored here as they have lost the first two games of this series by and average of 26 points' Houston has been 'hot' winning nine of 10 with their lone loss a 112-111 defeat at OKC and are 8-1 ATS in their last nine overall. The idea that Utah is favored hits me again when we realize the Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings in Utah. But, this is playoff time and with the Jazz down 0-2 they will pull out all stops! Take UTAH! |
04-20-19 | Nuggets +3.5 v. Spurs | 117-103 | Win | 100 | 6 h 51 m | Show
Denver at San Antonio 5:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Spurs- Although Denver is the higher seed most of the 'sharps' have been playing San Antonio as they have had the best of the Nuggets over the years. The Spurs are 22-7 all-time in post-season action including 13-3 in San Antonio and are 26-17 ATS at home while Denver is 17-26 ATS on the road. The Nuggets has lost 14 straight at San Antonio and yet the price here is way too low. The oddsmakers expect the Nuggets to come and play tonight and so do I. Take DENVER! |
04-20-19 | 76ers v. Nets +2 | 112-108 | Loss | -107 | 3 h 19 m | Show
Philadelphia at Brooklyn 3:00 ET Nets (+) over 76ers- The Sixers have a 2-1 lead and well should they as they have put a high scoring pace against Brooklyn that they could match. The main reason is not physical dominance but their distribution of the basketball as they have 75 assists in three games while the Nets have just 47. Philadelphia's dominance is apparent on the boards as well as they have out-rebounded the Nets 103-75 in the series. But, the Nets have posted one win in the series and will take this one down to the final buzzer. Take BROOKLYN! |
04-19-19 | Blazers v. Thunder -7.5 | 108-120 | Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show
Portland at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Thunder (-) over Trailblazers- OKC is down 0-2 and many 'experts' thought that they were supposed to be favorites in the series and must now rebound at home where they are 4-1 against the Trailblazers. There are a pair over powering trends that favors Portland and that is the Blazers are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 road games and the Thunder are 9-19 ATS as hosts. This is a high price to lay but the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
04-19-19 | Celtics v. Pacers -2.5 | 104-96 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Boston at Indiana 8:30 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- It looks like the Celtics have decided to 'turn it on' and have won their last three games easily including the first two games of this series. Boston has held Indiana to an average of 82.5 points in their pair of wins and the Pacers are 0-10 when scoring less than 100 points in their last 10. Even tho Boston has won the last five meetings (3-1-1 ATS) they are 1-7 SU in their last eight playoff road games. Take INDIANA! |
04-19-19 | Raptors v. Magic +5.5 | 98-93 | Win | 100 | 7 h 26 m | Show
Toronto at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Raptors- The imposter Raptors are off of their largest margin victory in franchise history in a dominating 111-82 trouncing of the Magic. Orlando who closed the season strong and opened the playoffs with a road win in Game 1 are 4-0 ATS after a SU loss. The Magic have won 13 of their last 14 regular season home games and are 4-1 over Toronto in their last five in Orlando. A rebound game for sure...take ORLANDO! |
04-18-19 | Warriors v. Clippers +9 | 132-105 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 58 m | Show
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers over Warriors- There is something going on with the Warriors that we just can't figure out. To start with how can a team with the wealth of talent on their NBA roster possibly blow a 31-point third quarter lead as the No. 1 seed to the No. 8 seed. (This isn't hockey) What has happened here now is that Los Angeles will be playing with extreme confidence returning home where they are 16-15 SU while Golden State is just 19-22 ATS. A piece of negative notes about the Clippers is their win at Golden State was their only 'cover' in their last six games and they are just 1-5 ATS in their last six as hosts against the Warriors. But, things are different now. Take the CLIPPERS! |
04-18-19 | Nuggets +4 v. Spurs | 108-118 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 32 m | Show
Denver at San Antonio 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Spurs- The fact that the Spurs have won 13 straight home games against Denver has me wondering way this 'price' is so short. The Nuggets recovered from a 19-point deficit late in the third quarter to post a 114-105 victory and even the series at 1-1. San Antonio has had their way against the Nuggets on the road but not so much at home where they are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings and when we add that the Spurs are just 2-5 against Denver at home. Take the NUGGETS! |
04-18-19 | 76ers v. Nets +3.5 | Top | 131-115 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Brooklyn 8:00 ET Nets (+) over 76ers- The image of who these team are is different than the way things play out when they go head-to-head. The Nets and Sixers have spit their four regular season games and have split their two playoff games to date with Brooklyn going 4-2 ATS. Philadelphia's Joel Embiid physically dominated Nets center Jarrett Allen in Game 2 but will not be able to commit flagrant fouls without notice this time around. Brooklyn is 23-18 SU at home while Philly is 17-24 ATS on the road. Take BROOKLYN! |
04-17-19 | Jazz +7 v. Rockets | Top | 98-118 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 15 m | Show |
Utah at Houston 9:30 ET Jazz (+) over Rockets- Houston rushed out at a 32-point win in Game 1 as the Jazz forgot that they were the second ranked defensive team in the NBA this season. The Rockets have won the last three in this series while the Jazz have won the previous three meetings. Houston who is 32-10 SU at home is also 24-16-2 ATS while hosting but Utah is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five visits to NASA's home town. But, note that Houston is 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven home games. But, after winning Game 1 by a 122-90 margin I expect Utah to rebound here. Take the JAZZ! |
04-17-19 | Pistons v. Bucks -15 | 99-120 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show
Detroit at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Bucks (+) over Pistons- The Pistons were without big man Blake Griffin in Game 1 but that didn't stop him from getting a technical from the bench when their other big man Andrew Drummond was ejected. This is new territory for Milwaukee being in the playoffs with the hammer and I don't believe that they will rest on their laurels. Take MILWAUKEE! |
04-17-19 | Pacers +7.5 v. Celtics | 91-99 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 41 m | Show
Indiana at Boston 7:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- The question here is 'Have to Celtics been playing possum the past four weeks?' The way they came out in Game 1 it looks like that may be true. But, I question wether team can just turn it on whenever they like. That huge win in the series opener was Boston first ATS home win after eight straight point spread defeats. Indiana has bounced back going 4-1 ATS after a ATS loss and will be scrambling to stay close here. Take INDIANA! |
04-16-19 | Thunder +2 v. Blazers | 94-114 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 51 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Portland 10:30 ET Thunder (+) over Trailblazers- The thunder made some noise after falling behind by 19 points I game won but the Megabucks winner Portland prevailed with key free throws down the stretch. This is another example of the line moving in the opposite direction of recent history. The Blazers are 33-9 SU at home but their win in Game 1 broke a four game posing streak to OKC who are 4-1 ATS against Portland in the last five meetings. The Trailblazers post season history need mending as they are 8-24-2 in their last 34 Conference Quarterfinals games. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
04-16-19 | Spurs v. Nuggets -6.5 | Top | 105-114 | Win | 100 | 11 h 24 m | Show |
San Antonio at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (-) over Spurs- The stats on this matchup are disgusting if you are a Nuggets supporter. San Antonio has won four in-a-row and is an amazing 22-8 ATS in their last 30 trips to the Mile High City. Of course after the Spurs win outright as a 5.5-point underdog and in Game 2 the line has moved a full point to -6.5. Now, does this make any sense other then the Nuggets were 32-9 SU at home but just 2-6 ATS in their last eight as hosts and are 0-8 ATS in their last eight Conference Quarterfinals games. It gets even more confusing as the road team is 29-13 ATS in the last 42 meetings and yet the price on the Nuggets is higher then ever...Take DENVER! |
04-16-19 | Magic v. Raptors -9.5 | 82-111 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show
Orlando at Toronto 8:00 ET Raptors (+) over Magic- No one should be surprised with the Game 1 outcome no not because I posted it (Free play) but because the Raptors were just doing their thing. Their thing of course is to lose the first game of any playoff series as they are now 2-14 straight up in their playoff openers. Orlando has been on a rush getting to the post season and have won five straight going 5-0 ATS while Toronto has won seven of eight before their 104-101 loss and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. There is one trend that makes me think, the Magic are 15-5-1 in their last 21 games against teams with winning records! |
04-15-19 | Nets v. 76ers -7.5 | Top | 123-145 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Philadelphia 8:00 ET 76ers (-) over Nets- Oh how I hate Game 2 of a playoff series when this happens. What happened? Well, the problem 'we' posted Philadelphia in Game 1 and now possibly will be without Joel Embiid while the 'price' has increased. Brooklyn has now won and covered their last four while the 76ers are 2-5 both SU and ATS in their last seven games overall. The Nets are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 4-1 in the last five meetings but the 'line' has grown because the Sixers are in such need. There is just one-side for me...take PHILADELPHIA! |
04-14-19 | Jazz +6.5 v. Rockets | 90-122 | Loss | -109 | 12 h 45 m | Show
Utah at Houston 9:30 ET Jazz (+) over Rockets- The question is 'Can James Haden continue to score in the NBA post-season.' These two met in the second round of last season's playoffs and Houston knocked out the Jazz in five games. In four games this season each split at home and away while the Rockets were closing the season on a 20-3 run. Houston is 5-0-1 ATS in their last six home games while Utah is 20-5-1 ATS after a SU loss and 6-1 ATS on the road against a team with a winning record. Add that the Jazz are 3-0-1 in the last four meetings in Houston. Take UTAH! |
04-14-19 | Thunder v. Blazers -3.5 | Top | 99-104 | Win | 100 | 6 h 56 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at Portland 3:30 ET Trailblazers (-) over Thunder- I had a feeling right away about this one when I heard one of the local Vegas radio personality saying that Oklahoma City would be the favorite here. Off course he was considering the injury to Portland's center Jusuf Nurkic who is out for the season as the key factor. But, ya know what, the addition of Enes Kanter will do just fine, the key factor to be aware of is the condition of CJ McCollum who is one game back after missing 10 straight. Westbrook and Lillard can play to a wash but the rest of the Blazers will have to contend with Paul George who averaged 38 points and 10.5 rebounds as the Thunder won and 'covered' all four meetings this season. Portland is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 when playing with three or ore days rest. Turn-about-is-fair-play...take the TRAILBLAZERS! |
04-14-19 | Pacers v. Celtics -7 | 74-84 | Win | 100 | 3 h 21 m | Show
Indiana at Boston 1:00 ET Celtics (-) over Pacers- These two met in their opening game back on Nov. 3 and the Pacers pull out a 102-101 win as a 3.5-point home dog. Boston won the next three including twice the final week to give them the fourth seed and home floor in the series. I'm wondering if Boston has put their egos aside for the playoffs and play as a team. The Celtics are 0-8 ATS in their last eight home games and 1-6-1 ATS after a straight-up win. Indiana just doesn't show well on the road where they are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 and just 1-6 ATS against the NBA Atlantic. Although the Pacers are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings, the big games and money are on the line now...take INDIANA |
04-13-19 | Spurs v. Nuggets -5.5 | 101-96 | Loss | -107 | 34 h 49 m | Show
San Antonio at Denver 10:30 ET Spurs (+) over Nuggets- San Antonio has had a weak year on the road going 16-25 SU and 19-20-2 ATS while Denver is 34-7 SU at home and 25-16 ATS. The Spurs have built up a winning record at Denver and is 21-8 ATS in their last 29 in the Mile High City, The Nuggets are 8-21 ATS vs the NBA Southwest but the favorite is 10-4 last 14. With the Spurs get success in Denver the road team is 28-13 ATS in the last 41 games overall. Take DENVER! |
04-13-19 | Clippers +13 v. Warriors | Top | 104-121 | Loss | -115 | 32 h 35 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Golden State 8:00 ET Clippers (+) over Warriors- Well, we shall see! Everybody has been waiting for Golden State to put it all together and now is the time. But, are they capable of just doing it when ever they want no matter the competition. Most believe that they can and will but their #1-#8 match-up isn't the norm. Have you ever seen a team 48-34 (14-games over) an eighth seed...no answer needed it's not even close. Doc Rivers has done an incredible job with a club the unloaded their two 'best' and they were thought to be dead in the water. LA is 4-1 ATS is their last five at Golden State and the road team 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Take the CLIPPERS! |
04-13-19 | Nets v. 76ers -7 | Top | 111-102 | Loss | -104 | 26 h 39 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Philadelphia 2:30 ET Nets (+) over 76ers- I get the feeling that the 76ers believe that they can just turn it on anytime they want and although there may be some times that can do that I don't know if Philadelphia is one of them. Brooklyn showed some metal winning their finals three to get here while the Sixers limp in (with make shift line-ups) going 4-6 in their last 10. The Nets a e 7-1 ATS in their last eight on the road. Take BROOKLYN! 6-15 ATS against NBA Atlanta home team 4-1 ATS last five. Warriors 9-20-1 ATS last 30 at home and yet are the largest favorite in Game 1. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
04-10-19 | Pacers +2 v. Hawks | 135-134 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
Indiana at Atlanta 8:00 ET Pacers (+) over Hawks- Indiana losers of their last two contests losing in a playoff position meaningful matchup they fell to Boston at home on Friday and then to the Nets on Sunday and have now lost nine of 12. So, now they will still play the Celtics but without the home court as they have fallen to the No. 5 seed. Although Atlanta is just 1-3 in their last four straight-up they have been a winner going 7-2 ATS. This being the final day of the regular season I look for the Pacers to end on a positive note and post a win. Take INDIANA! |
04-09-19 | Rockets v. Thunder +2 | 111-112 | Win | 100 | 9 h 18 m | Show
Houston at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- Truthfully, I never expected Houston to be where they are right now having won six straight and 20 of 23 and now trail Denver by one-game for the second spot in the West as they play their final game tonight. Denver travels to Utah and need one win in their two remaining contests to secure that second spot. I can see the Rockets who set an NBA record for 3-point shots made (27) last time out just sleep walking through their final game looking to stay healthy. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
04-09-19 | Nuggets +2.5 v. Jazz | 108-118 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 52 m | Show
Denver at Utah 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Jazz- Two weeks ago it appeared that the Nuggets were a shoe-in for the No. 2 seed in the West with a healthy chance at besting the Warriors, but alas, they have dropped five of nine while the Rockets were winning 20 of 23. So now with the pressure on Denver must get serious about tonight's encounter in Salt Lake City where they have lost eight straight times. Utah is coming off of a loss at the Lakers but had won seven straight and 12 of 13 before that trip to LA. With all of that I believe that this number is 'short' for a reason...take DENVER! |
04-09-19 | Celtics v. Wizards -4.5 | Top | 116-110 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 56 m | Show |
Boston at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards (-) over Celtics- What we have been hearing during the NBA season is the large number of teams that are 'tanking' and for the most part these are teams that are playing 'down' for better lottery position. Win or lose Boston is locked into the No. 4 seed and will host Indiana on Saturday and have already took the first two meetings between these two this season. In both meetings the Celtics were favored including by -3.5 at Washington. This time around Boston will be without Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart who were injured last time out and they will not play as well others will sit as well. There has been a virtual 10-point swing in the 'line' as Celtics' coach Brad Stevens stated his starters will 'play a lot less if at all.' Take the WIZARDS! |
04-08-19 | Texas Tech v. Virginia -120 | Top | 77-85 | Win | 100 | 28 h 16 m | Show |
Texas Tech vs. Virginia 9:06 ET Cavaliers over Red Raiders- I expect that like last Saturday the majority of the action to be on Tech Tech as UNLV dies thinking about what could have been. I am not referring to the 'action' in Nevada but the reason behind Chris Beard's short 10-day stint with UNLV. (I ask my Vegas buddies if he stayed with the Rebels would they be in the Final-4...HA. Beard found out the program out here is a sham and left as quickly as he could). Having lost last season as a No. 1 seed to a 16-seed makes this a storyline for Virginia and although Tech is 'really good' I believe the Cavaliers poise and big games experience will be the difference. Take VIRGINIA! |
04-07-19 | Magic +5 v. Celtics | Top | 116-108 | Win | 100 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
Orlando at Boston 7:30 ET Magic (+) over Celtics- Orlando who has missed the NBA playoff the past six seasons need a single win to clinch their first playoff berth since 2013. The Magic took both meetings this season against the Celtics but are 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 trips to Beantown. Boston who is just 20-20 ATS at home and are 0-7 ATS in their last seven home games. The Magic are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 and they are 14-4-1 ATS against the Atlantic Division while Boston is just 1-5-1 ATS after a straight-up win. It just looks too easy to take Boston here and with the road team 5-2 AST in the last seven meetings. Take ORLANDO! |
04-07-19 | Mavs +2 v. Grizzlies | 129-127 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show
Dallas at Memphis 6:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Grizzlies- With both these teams out of the playoff picture they are fighting for draft position right now. This is the second of back-to-back meetings with Memphis winning their third straight this season over the Mavericks and looking at a four-game series sweep. With that being said we see that Dallas is still 9-4 ATS in their last 13 meetings in Memphis. Note that the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and the Mavericks are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven road games. Take DALLAS! |
04-07-19 | Thunder -6.5 v. Wolves | 132-126 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 3 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Minnesota 3:30 ET Thunder (-) over Timberwolves- Minnesota who have been long eliminated from the playoffs for the 14th time in 15 seasons have won four of their last seven including a win over Golden State. Meanwhile, OKC is in a battle between the Clippers and Spurs for spots 6-8 in the NBA West. This is a huge game for the Thunder as they have Houston and Milwaukee up next to close the season. The oddity here is that the Timberwolves have won all three meetings this year and are 0-7 ATS in their last seven meetings and yet the Thunder are such a strong favorite here. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
04-06-19 | Texas Tech +2.5 v. Michigan State | 61-51 | Win | 100 | 31 h 40 m | Show
Texas Tech vs. Michigan State 6:09 ET Red Raiders (+) over Spartans- This should be a great one as Michigan State comes down off of the beating of Duke everybody's favorite to win the tournament while Texas Tech who won the Big-12 regular season title in making their first Final-Four appearance after taking down Gonzaga while Tom Izzo personally is making his eighth appearance. Both clubs are on fantastic ATS runs as Tech is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 and the Spartans are 26-9 ATS in their last 35 games overall. This is a game that should go down to the final buzzer and the points have value but may not even Be needed. Take TEXAS TECH! |
04-06-19 | Auburn v. Virginia UNDER 131.5 | 62-63 | Win | 100 | 28 h 53 m | Show
Auburn vs Virginia 6:10 ET Tigers/Cavaliers (UNDER)- Although the Tigers like to push the ball up court they may have trouble beating the Cavaliers down the court for any easy baskets. Well coached Auburn plays tough defense as well and I don't expect eight clubs to get many really 'good' looks at the hoop. With Virginia's methodical and deliberate approach on offense points will come at a premium. Play this game UNDER! |
04-06-19 | Auburn v. Virginia -5 | Top | 62-63 | Loss | -115 | 28 h 5 m | Show |
Auburn vs Virginia 6:09 ET Cavaliers (-) over Tigers- Auburn is riding the longest win streak at 12 among the Final-Four having defeated NCAA powerhouses Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky and now face what many believe is the weakest of the four No. 1 seeds in Virginia. The Tigers have depth and they will need it as their top player Chuma Okeke is out as they face one of the nation's top defenses. Virginia allows only 55.4 points per contest while Auburn is surrendering almost 71 points per game. Following trends won't help much as the Tigers are 8-2 ATS in their last 11 while the Cavaliers are 45-20-1 ATS in their last 66 overall. That is a stronger resume...take VIRGINIA! |
04-06-19 | Nets +6.5 v. Bucks | 133-128 | Win | 100 | 6 h 59 m | Show
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Nets (+) over Bucks- Let me start by saying that the 'numbers' just don't look good for the Nets. To start with the Bucks are showing the NBA world that they are for real and not just a one-man team. Milwaukee is off of a huge win over Philadelphia where Giannis Antetokounmpo showed his true domination scoring 45 points with 13 rebounds and six assists along with three blocked shots. The Bucks are 33-6 SU at home and have had the Nets under their thumb for years as they are 26-8-1 ATS in the last 35 meetings. This should aid Brooklyn as the Bucks cruise here. Take the NETS! |
04-05-19 | Heat v. Wolves +3.5 | 109-111 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Miami at Minnesota 8:05 ET Timberwolves (+) over Heat- The heat is on Miami as they have fallen a half-game behind Orlando for the final playoff spot in the East and play three of their final four on the road. That actually might be a plus for them as they are 26-12 ATS on the road as opposed to 16-23-1 ATS at home but have dropped their last two. The Timberwolves who have fought threw a season of turmoil are 24-12 SU at home but are up against a Miami team that is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in Minnesota. Josh Richardson the Heat's leading scorer has missed three of the last four games and is more than questionable for tonight's encounter. This kind of pressure to win will have a depressed Miami team too tight to preform at this best. Take MINNESOTA! |
04-05-19 | Celtics v. Pacers +1 | Top | 117-97 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 31 m | Show |
Boston at Indiana 8:05 ET Paces (+) over Celtics- These two are tied for the fourth seed in the NBA playoffs with identical 47-32 records and this game will carry weight with just three games to go as to who will get the home court in the soon to be playoff series. Boston owns the tie-breaker so this game puts more pressure on the Pacers as they have a one game advantage is conference play. The home team has won all three meetings this season with the Celtics winning a non-cover 114-112 last Friday but Indiana is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Boston is hanging on by a tread but are very inconsistent in that that are 1-5 ATS after a straight-up win. With this game a virtual pick-em affair we see that Indiana is 29-10 SU at home while the Celtics are just 19-20 on the road. Take the PACERS! |
04-05-19 | Raptors v. Hornets +6 | 111-113 | Win | 100 | 6 h 27 m | Show
Toronto at Charlotte 7:00 ET Hornets (+) over Raptors- Toronto has reeled off five straight victories since Jeremy Lamb of the Hornets banked in a half-court shot at the buzzer for a 115-114 win at Toronto. Charlotte trails Brooklyn and Orlando for the final playoff spot by 2½ games with just four to go and will be desperate here for an outright win. Kemba Walker has been Charlotte's standout leading them in scoring to the point where last week he was the only Hornets player to score in double figures. Charlotte is 24-15 SU at home while Toronto is just 19-20 south of the border and I can see the home team get a win here. Oh yeah one final thing, the Raptors are 12-25 ATS in the last 37 meetings overall against Charlotte. Take the HORNETS! |

04-04-19 | Lipscomb +1.5 v. Texas | Top | 66-81 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
Lipscomb vs Texas 7:00 ET Bisons over Longhorns- Some might think that if Bisons and Longhorns are to be playing in should be somewhere on the range in Texas, but playing in New York City is not so unusual where you realize that Madison Square Garden hosts plenty of exotic animals during the rodeo and circus (since banned). Texas has had to win four games in the post-season to raise above .500 on the year as they played with turmoil and suspensions and an underachieving season. Lipscomb has won eight of nine straight-up and is 4-0 ATS in their last four. These two met a year ago in Texas where the Longhorns won 80-57 and now they are a virtual pick-em in NYC. Take LIPSCOMB! |
04-03-19 | Rockets v. Clippers +1 | 135-103 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 16 m | Show
Houston at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers (+) over Rockets- A pair of the NBA's hottest clubs face off with just four games remaining with playoff seeding in the balance. Houston has a half game lead on Portland for the No. 3 seed in the West while the Clippers are a half-game behind Utah for the fifth spot. LA has won 13 of their last 15 and the Rockets are blasting off with 17 wins in their last 20 encounters. The Clippers are 2-0 against Houston this season and are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and the Rockets are just 16-22-1 ATS on the road while LA is 25-13 SU at home. Take LA CLIPPERS! |
04-03-19 | South Florida v. DePaul -5.5 | 96-100 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 37 m | Show
South Florida at DePaul 8:00 ET Blue Demons (-) over Bulls- Top seeded DePaul showed some girth coming back from an 11-point deficit in game one only to fall short by a bucket 63-61 and are now just 1-5 ATS in their last six outings. South Florida who had lost six straight ATS at home before the CBI started has won their last four going 3-0 ATS in the last three. Now here's the clincher South Florida is 9-0 SU and ATS in the last nine meetings with the Blue Demons. So, to me it looks way to easy to take the Bulls...so I won't. Take DePAUL! |
04-03-19 | Raptors v. Nets +2.5 | Top | 115-105 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 26 m | Show |
Toronto at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Nets (+) over Raptors- I like this spot for the Nets but after taking the collar (0-3) Tuesday I always tread lightly. I just can't pass up this opportunity because at any other time I'd be ecstatic waiting to 'play' this game. Toronto who has won their last four (3-1 ATS) is pretty much locked into the No. 2 seed in the East and will meet Brooklyn in Opening Round of the Playoffs if things remain the as they are but, the Nets are just a half game ahead of Miami and 1-game in front of 9th seeded Orlando. The home team has won the all three meetings this season and this makes four...take BROOKLYN! |
04-03-19 | Pacers +3.5 v. Pistons | 108-89 | Win | 100 | 7 h 52 m | Show
Indiana at Detroit 7:00 ET Pacers (+) over Pistons- This is the second meeting between these two this week with the Pacers posted as 'our' Power Play winner 111-102 on Monday. Now, the natural instinct (yes for me as well) is to look for Detroit to get even at home and split the short two-game series. But Indiana is coming out of a funk losing seven of eight while the Pistons are mopping up at home going 11-0 ATS. The problem for Detroit is that is price is way low and the Pacers are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings. Take INDIANA! |
04-02-19 | Nuggets +8.5 v. Warriors | 102-116 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 36 m | Show
Denver at Golden State 10:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Warriors- The battle for the Western Conference home court throughout the playoffs take stage front and center tonight as Golden State with a one-game lead over Denver hosts the Nuggets entering the final weeks of the season (6 game remaining). The Nuggets won the first meeting between the two but the Warriors responded with a pair of wins by a total 48 points. Even tho the Warriors are off of a 47 point win (137-90) over Charlotte they are just 4-4 SU in their last eight games overall. The Nuggets may have gotten caught looking ahead to this encounter losing at home to the Wizards on Sunday and I expect a different attitude here as they are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven trips to the Bay area. Take DENVER! |
04-02-19 | Rockets v. Kings +5.5 | Top | 130-105 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
Houston at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Rockets- Sacramento was eliminated from the playoffs by the Rockets last week but still have plenty to play for as the .500 mark is a huge goal for them. The Rockets have defeated the Kings three times already with season with an average margin of 19 points. Youthful Sacramento will have Marvin Bagley III back tonight after missing Saturday's contest because of illness (?). They have played well at home going 24-13-1 ATS while the Rockets for are pretty much slotted in the playoff seeding are just 15-23 ATS in the road. Take the KINGS! |
04-02-19 | Texas +1.5 v. TCU | Top | 58-44 | Win | 100 | 12 h 44 m | Show |
Texas vs TCU 9:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Horned Frogs- Hey, I was there...1978 Madison Square Garden, Texas won their only NIT championship defeating NC State 102-93 and 'we' cashed in on that day as well. TCU of course won their only NIT championship in 2017 and I only got to see that on TV (but, it was a 'Big Screen' TV). TCU took down the Longhorn twice already this season and are 3-0 ATS in the last three meetings but not three times in the same season and for the Longhorns, the third time is a charm. Take TEXAS! |
04-02-19 | Hawks v. Spurs -10.5 | 111-117 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 21 m | Show
Atlanta at San Antonio 8:30 ET Spurs (-) over Hawks- After a great run since January it appears that San Antonio has slowed their playoff pace losing four of their last six falling to the No. 7 seed in the West. Atlanta on the other hand never thought of seeding as their playoff hopes were dashed when they traded their No. 1 draft pick to Dallas (Donic) for a one-way player Trae Young. With the Hawks coming off of a home win this is a great spot for the Spurs to rebound (literately) and get back on track. Spurs 24-15 ATS at home...take SAN ANTONIO! |
04-02-19 | Wichita State v. Lipscomb +1 | 64-71 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
Wichita State vs Lipscomb 7:00 ET Bison over Shockers- Wichita State didn't measure up to cagers of the recent past but here they are after becoming the first team in NIT history to defeat the top three seeds in their bracket. The Shockers definitely got better as the season progressed and finished 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 and with 22 wins and now joins Duke, Kansas and Gonzaga as schools with 22 or wins in the last 10 season. Conflict of styles will be forefront as Lipscomb the NIT's highest scoring team at 89.7 per contest while the Shockers held NIT opponents to their lowest out put with 62.6 per. Well, like when you send you kid to college..Bi-son...take LIPSCOMB! |
04-01-19 | Bucks v. Nets +2 | 131-121 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 1 m | Show
Milwaukee at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Nets (+) over Bucks- With the lead that Milwaukee has established in the East they need just another win to clinch home court throughout the conference playoffs. The Bucks have already starter pulling starters down the stretch as Giannis Antekounmpo and Khris Middleton joined Malcolm Brogdon, Tony Snell, Nikola Mirotic, Donte DeVincenzo and Pau Gasol on the sidelines. I think that is too much to overcome against a hungry Nets team playing in Brooklyn where they are 22-16 SU this season. Take the NETS! |
04-01-19 | Heat v. Celtics -7 | 105-110 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 55 m | Show
Miami at Boston 7:30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- The 'numbers' won't show it but love the spot the Celtics are in here as the 38-38 Miami Heat enter TD Garden in the eighth spot in the East and off of a pair of wins against the Mavericks and Knicks. Well, the Celtics although off of a loss to Brooklyn are a real team and they should get the best of the Heat here. Boston is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 but returning home is the key as they are 16-6 ATS at home against a team 500 or better. Take BOSTON! |
04-01-19 | Pistons v. Pacers -5 | 102-111 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show
Detroit at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (-) over Pistons- A pair of clubs moving in opposite directions face-off at Bankers Life Field House as the Pacers enter losing three straight and seven of eight while Detroit has won their last two SU and are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. But, this is actually a good spot for Indiana who had lost six of seven outright on the road with this lone win in their lone home appearance crushing Denver 124-88. Same situation...same result. Take INDIANA! |
04-01-19 | DePaul +2 v. South Florida | Top | 61-63 | Push | 0 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
DePaul at South Florida 7:00 ET Blue Demons (+) over Bulls- High scoring DePaul has made huge strides this season which including most wins in the Big East and he scoring highest scoring offense in the conference. (after tonight's game they will be the highest scoring team in school history) Both clubs have won their last three to reach the CBI finals winning three straight home games. Taking a look at South Florida we fine that they are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall and DePaul is 0-8 ATS in the last eight meetings. Pick your poison. Mine is the Blue Demons! |
03-31-19 | Michigan State v. Duke -133 | Top | 68-67 | Loss | -133 | 17 h 43 m | Show |
Michigan State vs Duke 5:05 ET Blue Devils over Spartans- There are two things I believe and one is that Michigan State is the overall better team than Duke and that the 'public' also recognizes that after what we have all witnessed in this tourney. So, here are the Blue Devils the No. 1 seed as they should be a small favorite against a Big Ten squad that many believe got hosed by the selection committee. This is the match-up many wanted in the Final-4 or the Championship game and it really doesn't have the program impact that it deserves. That is of little consequence to me as to winning the championship you have to beat them one time or another. Duke is 12-2 SU all-time against Michigan State and when someone has your 'number' they have your 'number.' Take BLUE DEVILS! |
03-31-19 | Mavs v. Thunder -11.5 | Top | 106-103 | Loss | -109 | 4 h 23 m | Show |
Dallas at Oklahoma City 3:30 ET Thunder (-) over Mavericks- Inconsistent OKC has alternated loses and wins in each of their last five games and the wheel spins to a win today. The Thunder appear to be sputtering as they have fallen to the eighth seed losing six of eight and are 7-13 in their last 20 games overall. Dallas meanwhile has been even worse as they are getting ready to play some golf as they have won just three of their last 20. The Mavericks star Luka Doncic will sit out today's game and while they are 7-31 SU on the road. This 'number' seems awfully high and it give the Thunder a chance to rout Dallas. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
03-31-19 | Auburn v. Kentucky -4 | 77-71 | Loss | -119 | 14 h 54 m | Show
Auburn vs Kentucky 2:20 ET Wildcats (-) over Tigers- Wow, Megabucks and Money Game winners with both these clubs last time out while we've been riding the Tigers during their great run through the SEC and to this spot in the NCAA's. Now, seriously did any of us think that Kentucky would end up in the Final-4 after their opening game humiliation at the feet of Duke 118-84. I know there a 'few' that don't favor John Calipari but think about what he does. Every season he has to start all-over with a fresh group of young strangers that all see themselves as NBA stars and gets them to sacrifice their ego to the team concept. Okay, I have to respect his coaching...and recruiting! The Tigers also have one of the better NCAA leaders with personable Bruce Pearl bring Auburn to prominence after success at Tennessee. The Wildcats have two wins over the Tigers this season with the last come being Auburns worst and last loss this year 80-53 at Lexington. Can this Tigers team get past the Wildcats? This is a tough call as I would mind seeing either of them advance without any wager involved but there is...Take KENTUCKY |
03-31-19 | Auburn v. Kentucky UNDER 142 | 77-71 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 49 m | Show
Auburn vs Kentucky 2:20 ET Tigers/Wildcats- (Under) Defense is key in these most important of conflicts and when that is a teams mantra it's difficult to swim up steam so to speak. I mean look at these stats...Kentucky is 13-3 Under in their last 16 NCAA tournament games, they are 10-3 Under against the SEC in the last 13 and they are not only 19-7 under in their last 26 overall and they are 12-3 under in their last 15 meetings! ...DUH...Play UNDER! |
03-30-19 | Grizzlies v. Suns +2 | 120-115 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 3 m | Show
Memphis at Phoenix 10:00 ET Suns (+) over Grizzlies- Back-to-back 50-point performances by Devin Booker who posted 59 and 50 points in the the Suns last two outings both of which they lost. These two have split their two meetings this season but Phoenix has won four of the last six meetings. The Suns have dropped their last five while Memphis is 2-5 ATS in their last seven and the same in their last seven trips into the desert against the Suns. With the Grizzlies a poor 10-26 SU on the road having them favorites here makes them a 'go against' play. Take PHOENIX! |
03-30-19 | Purdue v. Virginia -4 | 75-80 | Win | 100 | 19 h 27 m | Show
Purdue vs Virginia 8:50 ET Boilermakers over Cavaliers- Both these teams have been good to 'us' going 3-0 ATS in the NCAA's with the Boilermakers twice as Megabucks Winners. I think this is a really difficult call as Purdue hasn't played at this level since 1980 as Six seed and as tough as they are they need to keep hitting their trademark 3's. People calling Ryan Cline a 'surprise' makes me laugh as he's a dead-eyed pure shooter and that doesn't just happen! But, I'd be surprised if he gets the shots he wants Saturday night against this hard-nosed Cavaliers defense. Virginia has had 'great expectations' shot down in disapproving fashion they past two seasons and time around they atone for previous failures. Take VIRGINIA! |
03-30-19 | Purdue v. Virginia UNDER 126.5 | 75-80 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 21 m | Show
Purdue vs Virginia 8:50 ET Boilermakers/Cavaliers (Under 126)- Big games have a way of tightening things up as not only the scores but more importantly the players performance. This is the deepest Purdue has been in NCAA action since 1980 and the rim might seem a little 'tighter' as well. And a veteran defense that is at the top of their game. Play this one to stay...UNDER! |
03-30-19 | Magic +2.5 v. Pacers | 121-116 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show
Orlando at Indiana 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Pacers- These two are on mirror trends moving in opposite directions as Orlando is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall with a loss last time out against Detroit and Indiana is 1-6 ATS in their last seven and are coming off of a loss (covered) at Boston last night. Although the Magic are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven Saturday games they are just 8-20 ATS in the last 28 meetings and just 4-10 ATS at Indiana. Remember the future doesn't always equal the past and when you're hot you're hot it's Magic...Take ORLANDO! |
03-30-19 | Blazers v. Pistons -5 | Top | 90-99 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
Portland at Detroit 7:00 ET Pistons (-) over Trailblazers- Tricky, tricky here! Last Saturday 'we' used Detroit (+5) at Portland and ended up with a 112-117 'push' on a 2-0-1 day that is still part of 'our' current run (24-4-2 ATS L-10 days). This Pistons team has been good to 'us' even in defeat as they are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight while going 4-4 SU. A few trends that pave the way have Detroit who is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 at home and Portland is 1-6 ATS in their last seven visits to the Motor City. Take the PISTONS! |
03-30-19 | Texas Tech +4.5 v. Gonzaga | Top | 75-69 | Win | 100 | 17 h 51 m | Show |
Texas Tech vs Gonzaga 6:10 ET Red Raiders (+) over Bulldogs- Whoa...any team that plays defense like the Red Raiders has to really take pride in what they're doing, because it's not like being a great shooter there is no room for off nights. In some places I have a vested interest in Gonzaga making it to the Finals and I still believe they can get there with a little luck here. The Bulldogs have the nations highest scoring team 88.2 points per shooting 53% from the field and they will be against a stingy group that held No. 2 seed Michigan to 44 points. Cut it any way you want too but I'm taking the points with the Red Raiders. Take TEXAS TECH! |
03-29-19 | Houston v. Kentucky -2.5 | 58-62 | Win | 100 | 12 h 35 m | Show
Houston vs Kentucky 10:00 ET Cougars and Wildcats- Of all the games tonight this is the one I would like most to attend. Houston comes in winning a pair of games easily defeating Georgia State and Ohio State while Kentucky won a pair against powerhouses Abilene Christian and Wofford pounding the first and struggling (but getting the cash) against Wofford. The Wildcats won both games without leading scorer and rebounder PJ Washington who still in a walking cast. Both teams play defense first as the Cougars allow just 57.2 per contest while the Cats allow 64.5 and are 16-5 Under in their last 21 including 9-2 under in their last 11 NCAA Tourney games. Houston is 9-4 under in 13 non-conference games. Tough call but...The Wildcats get it done, Take KENTUCKY! |
03-29-19 | Nuggets +4 v. Thunder | 115-105 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
Denver at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Thunder- Oklahoma City provided 'us' with a great comeback Megabucks winner over Indiana Wednesday and I expect this unbalanced club to fall against a more disciplined and overall better talented team. Denver who trails Golden State by one-game for the top seed in the West has defeated the Thunder 7-of-8 straight-up and is 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings. OKC's Paul George has been playing hard but is still affected by left should pain. Losing tonight hurts more...Take DENVER! |
03-29-19 | Blazers v. Hawks +3.5 | Top | 118-98 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 7 m | Show |
Portland at Atlanta 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over Trailblazers- Portland who is just 3.5-games behind Denver are off of a crushing 118-98 win at Chicago and have won five straight. The Trailblazers lost their big-time center Jusuf Nurkic but have managed to replace him with the more then capable Enes Kanter. Atlanta is playing some of their best basketball of the season and have won their last three and are 5-0 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall. Portland is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win. Take ATLANTA! |
03-29-19 | Auburn +6 v. North Carolina | Top | 97-80 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
Auburn vs North Carolina 7:30 ET Tigers (+) over Tar Heels- I definitely believe that North Carolina is good enough to win it all and they are one of my personal favorites still left in the Tournament. The problem here is that they are up against on the hottest teams in the nation that is stringing together big victories. The Tigers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight including wins over Tennessee (twice), Florida and Kansas while winning their last 10 straight-up. The Tar Heels have had their way against the SEC going 20-8-2 ATS in their last 30 meetings while Auburn is 1-4 ATS in their last five against the ACC. Carolina is the highest scoring team in the nation and have a 10.5 rebound advantage per contest but there is an intangible working here and it's the Tigers 'Mojo.' Take the points...AUBURN! |
03-29-19 | LSU +6.5 v. Michigan State | 63-80 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 35 m | Show
LSU vs Michigan State 7:10 ET Spartans (-) over Tigers- With all the turmoil surrounding LSU right losing coach Will Wade because of FBI taped conversations with regards to payoffs to one of their current players (Javonte Smart) who is still in the line-up. Interim coach Tony Benford has the second ranked SEC club running up 81.4 points per contest while Tom Izzo's club has won seven straight including 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games overall. A weak as the Tigers are in non-conference games (4-9-1 ATS) they are best when playing better teams with winning percent about 60% they are 8-2 ATS. Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
03-29-19 | Pacers +6.5 v. Celtics | 112-114 | Win | 100 | 8 h 34 m | Show
Indiana at Boston 7:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- 'We' posted a Megabucks winner with OKC against the Pacers Tuesday night as Indiana blew a 10-point half-time lead but still 'lead' the Celtics by one-game in the East seeding. In the last meeting Boston when to Indianapolis and pounded the Pacers 135-108 but have struggled against the Pacers going 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings. The Pacers have dropped five of their last six SU but the Celtics are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games. I expect the Pacers to rebound from their loss at Oklahoma City and Boston to continue to struggle because of their internal problems. Take INDIANA! |
03-28-19 | Texas Tech +2 v. Michigan | 63-44 | Win | 100 | 25 h 32 m | Show
Texas Tech vs Michigan 9:40 ET Red Raiders (+) over Wolverines- I can't see this being anything but a tough hard nose defensive battle between two very well coached teams. Both of these guys have been 'money makers' for their backers as Texas Tech is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 overall and Michigan is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 against the Big-12 as well as 42-19-4 ATS on neutral sites. Overall, I just think the Red Raiders are a little better and they have had more impressive victories as they are 3rd in the nation in scoring defense (59.2) and they have won 21 games by double digits this season. Take TEXAS TECH! |
03-28-19 | Kings v. Pelicans +4 | 118-121 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
Sacramento at New Orleans 8:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Kings- Sacramento who is still alive for the post-season haven't given up on the playoffs winning three of their last four. With eight games remaining and trailing the No. 8 seed by 5.5 games the Kings truly realize their fate. New Orleans is tanking and has dropped nine of ten but their younger players have shown some promise. The Kings are just 14-22 SU on the road and are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in New Orleans. This as the last opportunity for the Kings to party in New Orleans until next season and I expect them to take advantage of that and for the Pelicans to take advantage of the weary Kings. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
03-28-19 | Clippers v. Bucks -8.5 | 118-128 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Bucks (-) over Clippers- The surprising LA Clippers have qualified for the playoffs and let the entire NBA know about it with a huge celebration after their 122-111 win at Minnesota downing multiple bottles of champagne. Milwaukee meanwhile has won four of their last five playing without the injured Nikola Mirotic, Pau Gasol and Malcolm Brogdon. The Bucks are 23-13-1 ATS at home including 4-0 ATS in their last four as hosts while the Clippers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 against teams with winning records. Take MILWAUKEE! |
03-28-19 | Purdue +2 v. Tennessee | 99-94 | Win | 100 | 22 h 10 m | Show
Purdue vs Tennessee 4:25: ET Boilermakers (+) over Volunteers- The Boilermakers have been good to 'us' cruising as a Megabucks winner over Villanova while we have won going 'against' the Vols in the SEC Tourney and posting a pair of wins against with Auburn (SEC Championship) and stealing Iowa in overtime. Just line when I first saw that Purdue came up favored and all the rating confirmed that they were -3.5 I didn't look right and neither did this 'number.' I can't see the public turning away from Tennessee here. The Volunteers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 and they have been getting away with it, not tonight. This one is from the oddsmakers and I believe it's a winner. Take PURDUE! |
03-28-19 | Florida State v. Gonzaga -7 | 58-72 | Win | 100 | 22 h 37 m | Show
Florida State vs Gonzaga 7:10 ET Bulldogs (-) over Seminoles- I've been touting Gonzaga all season as you might remember they were the first to defeat might Duke. Except for walking into a door and getting slammed by St. Mary's in their Big West Championship games they have been a juggernaut both SU and ATS leading the nation in scoring offense (88.6), field goal percentage (53.2) and most importantly scoring margin (23.8). Florida State is good real good and an upset here isn't out of the realm of capabilities but not here Bulldogs are hungry. Take GONZAGA! |
03-28-19 | Magic +3.5 v. Pistons | Top | 98-115 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
Orlando at Detroit 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Pistons- Don't look now but, the Magic have won six straight and lead the NBA Southeast with a half-game lead over Miami. Despite leading the division Orlando is still just an eighth seed so they must actually win the division or the fall short of making the playoffs. Detroit has played better of late themselves against the spread going 3-0-1 ATS but are just 1-4 SU in the last five overall. In head-to-head action Orlando is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings against the Pistons as Detroit is just 9-19 ATS in their last 28 versus the NBA Southeast. Take the MAGIC! |
03-27-19 | Lakers v. Jazz -15 | 100-115 | Push | 0 | 12 h 31 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Utah 10:30 ET Jazz (-) over Lakers- 'Break-up the Lakers'...two straight wins has Hollywood on a rampage as the Lakers defeated the Wizards 124-106 last night. Poor Los Angeles now has to play back-to-back game on the second straight night and their wining streak is in jeopardy as LeBron James will most likely sit out to be saved for the off-season. It has been over two months since the Lakers had won two straight and now they travel to Utah where the Jazz are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games. With or without James the Lakers should take a hard fall tonight. Take UTAH! |
03-27-19 | Colorado v. Texas -5.5 | Top | 55-68 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
Colorado at Texas 9:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Buffaloes- Both these clubs won a pair of NIT games at home and will meet in Austin as the second seeded Longhorns will host. But, other then both teams willing to get here they have come by different routes with Colorado getting two covers and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall while Texas lost five of their last six until playing in the NIT but haven't covered (0-5 ATS) since March 2. It appears that the Buffaloes would be the side but a glaring weakness on the road has them 6-12 ATS on the road. Take TEXAS! |
03-27-19 | Lipscomb +4 v. NC State | 94-93 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show
Lipscomb at N.C. State 9:00 ET Bisons (+) over Wolfpack- This should be an interesting match-up with an over-valved and over-rated NC State squad against a legitimate small school threat. I'm still have the final score of their home loss to Virginia Tech when on Ground Hog Day February 2, 2019 when the Wolfpack went under-ground and scored just 24 points in a modern day game. Since then they have actually rebounded going 6-2 ATS in their last eight. Okay, fine, but Lipscomb has already won at TCU and SMU and are 27-10-1 ATS in their last 38 road games. Take the BISONS! |
03-27-19 | Pacers v. Thunder -6 | 99-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Indiana at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Thunder (-) over Pacers- This line doesn't make much sense to me when 'we' look at the teams more recent work. We had Megabucks winner Indiana (+) last time out as they crushed Denver 124-88 after a four-game losing streak. OKC on the other side lost to Memphis Monday after a Megabucks win at Toronto following a four-game slide. These two met two weeks ago at Indy where the Pacers came back from a 19-point third quarter deficit and won 108-106 on a tip-in at the buzzer. OKC is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings as hosts and the Thunder are 15-5 ATS against the NBA Central while the Pacers are 6-1 against the NBA Northwest. So, that's a wash and what it comes down to is that this 'price' looks easy to take and taking money from the 'man' is not easy...LAY IT take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
03-27-19 | Warriors -10.5 v. Grizzlies | 118-103 | Win | 100 | 9 h 52 m | Show
Golden State at Memphis 8:00 ET Warriors (-) over Grizzlies- The Warriors just seem to be doing enough to just get by, sort of like most of my early school days but like the kid that passes his final they have a half-game lead in the West over Denver. Golden State is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a losing record and they are complacent after a win going 2-10 ATS after a straight-up win. But, they are 4-0 SU last four and 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings against the Grizzlies. Memphis who has no shot of going anywhere have won five of six and are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall. They have dropped a pair to the Champs by 16 and 17-points while out West this season and they will have no chance tonight if the Warriors come to play and I believe (always dangerous) they will. Take GOLDEN STATE! |
03-27-19 | Coastal Carolina v. DePaul -7.5 | 87-92 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 8 m | Show
Coastal Carolina at DePaul 8:00 ET Blue Demons (-) over Chanticleers- Now, this is a first...yep the first time these two schools have ever played each other on the hardwood (not to say that they every played on the grin iron or anywhere else for that matter). Both these clubs were below .500 when tourney play started with one major difference and major is the key word. Major as in the difference in conferences from the Big-East to Sun Belt and DePaul who has been a doormat for years won the most games ever. Chanticleers are 2-5 ATS after scoring 100 points and they lite up West Virginia for 109. Not this time. Take BLUE DEMONS! |
03-26-19 | Pistons +7.5 v. Nuggets | 92-95 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Detroit at Denver 9:05 ET Pistons (+) over Nuggets- Two days ago 'we' posted Indiana as a Megabucks winner over Denver and the Pacers came through with a resounding 124-88 win ending a six-game Nuggets winning streak. Detroit who is scrapping and battling every time out has lost eight of their last nine trips to Denver but are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The Nuggets are just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and are 3-8 ATS against the NBA Central in their last 11 meetings. Take DETROIT! |
03-26-19 | Creighton +3.5 v. TCU | 58-71 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 22 m | Show
Creighton at TCU 9:00 ET Blue Jays (+) over Horned Frogs- If we take a look at the way these two clubs finished the season we can see one is hot and the other is NOT. Creighton has made a late season rush going 7-1 ATS in their last eight while TCU has gone in the opposite direction going a meager 6-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Hornes Frogs even struggled at home at 9-10 ATS although they are an amazing 11-0 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games. That ends tonight...take CREIGHTON! |
03-26-19 | Clippers v. Wolves +2.5 | Top | 122-111 | Loss | -101 | 9 h 2 m | Show |
LA Clippers at Minnesota 8:05 ET Timberwolves (+) over Clippers- The LA Clippers who have won five straight and 11 of the last 12 as they hold a half-game lead in the four-way battle for the 5th playoff spot in the West. Minnesota who has had a year to forget about (starting with the Jimmy Butler desertion) is out of the playoffs but haven't quit on the season and is still playing hard. The T'wolves surprisingly are 23-11 straight-up at home and are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings against the Clippers. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 25 points with 20 rebounds for the second time in three games on Saturday and is leading the way. Take MINNESOTA! |
03-26-19 | Hawks +1 v. Pelicans | 130-120 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show
Atlanta at New Orleans 8:00 ET Hawks (+) over Pelicans- New Orleans (another of the dysfunctional NBA club) have lost eight of their last nine including a loss at Atlanta two weeks ago. The fact of the matter is that when watching these two also-rans it is the Hawks that are still flying behind Trae Young and are still playing to win. On the other side New Orleans is playing without Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore the past eight games and Anthony Davis has sat out four of the last 11 and when he does play his minutes are limited and his production has dropped in dramatic fashion. Take ATLANTA! |
03-26-19 | Charleston Southern +1.5 v. Hampton | 67-73 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 18 m | Show
Charleston Southern at Hampton 7:00 ET Buccaneers (+) over Pirates- How about these two household names meeting in Hampton, Virginia where the Pirates are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as hosts. So, that being said right off I'm wondering why the 'line' is so weak. Charleston Southern is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games against the Big South. Tonight, I am 'listening' to the numbers. Take CHARLESTON SOUTHERN! |
03-26-19 | Wichita State v. Indiana -3.5 | Top | 73-63 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 27 m | Show |
Wichita State at Indiana 7:00 ET Hoosiers (-) over Shockers- Both these clubs have picked-up their pace in the later part of the season as the Shockers are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 and Indiana is 7-2 ATS in their last nine. The Hoosiers who had a nine-game losing streak this season are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games are up against a Wichita State team that 8-0 ATS on the road against teams with a winning record. In this spot it's INDIANA! |
03-25-19 | Nets +6.5 v. Blazers | 144-148 | Win | 100 | 11 h 11 m | Show
Brooklyn at Portland 10:05 ET Nets (+) over Trailblazers- The Nets provided 'us' with one of the great comeback wins of the season when they rallied from a 28-point deficit to beat Sacramento last week. Brooklyn has two games left on their seven game road trip and the Blazers with be a stern test. Portland has won six of their last seven and are fourth in the West and are a dominating 39-19-1 ATS in their last 59 games overall while the Nets are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games against the Western Conference. Take BROOKLYN! |
03-25-19 | Norfolk State v. Colorado -14 | 60-76 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show
Norfolk State at Colorado 11:00 ET Buffaloes (-) over Spartans- Norfolk State is coming off of the 'biggest basketball win in school history coming back from 10-points down in the second have to beat Alabama 80-79 in overtime. Colorado 7-1 ATS in their last eight at home (8-0 SU). I just don't think the Spartans (who I played baseball against in college) can be emotionally ready and after the first half when the are down 8-or-10 their legs and hearts will give out in the Colorado Mountain altitude. Lay it...run with the BUFFALOES! |
03-25-19 | Thunder v. Grizzlies +6 | 103-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Memphis 8:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- Oklahoma City and Memphis have been struggling of late as both clubs have dropped four of their last five straight up. This for the Grizzlies is not so unusual as they are 15 -games under 500 but for the Thunder it is crucial as they are tying to hang on to the sixth spot tied with Utah. Last time out OKC provided us with a Megabucks win as they won at Toronto 116-109 and have been wildly inconsistent. The Grizzlies have lost the last nine meetings including twice this season but are in a spot to win here. Take MEMPHIS! |
03-25-19 | 76ers v. Magic +2.5 | Top | 98-119 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over 76ers- Both these clubs are looking to sew up playoff spots as the 76ers via for the third spot in the East and Orlando is hunting down Miami for the final spot. The Magic have won their last four making a valiant push for the final seed. The 76ers haven't been the best on the road 15-20 ATS and will finish on the road in seven of their final 10 games while Orlando is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games versus the Atlantic Division. Take ORLANDO! |
03-25-19 | Utah Valley +2.5 v. South Florida | 57-66 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 37 m | Show
Utah Valley at South Florida 7:30 ET Wolverines (+) over Bulls- First off this seems like such a small 'number' between two schools from totally diverse conferences. As South Florida comes from a stronger pedigree and at home against a team whose nickname I would have to look up other then the fact that I saw them play against Hartford in Las Vegas on November 19 my buddy Jerry talked me into it because he's a Long Beach guy and they were playing Iona (NCAA bound) in the other game while UVU defeated the Hawks 72-65 (notice how I threw Hartford's nickname in). Anyway, this this line where it is and actually having seen Utah Valley. I could say that the Bulls are 0-6 ATS in their last six home games. So, I will say GO WOLVERINES! |
03-25-19 | Coastal Carolina +10 v. West Virginia | 109-91 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
Coastal Carolina at West Virginia 7:00 ET Chanticleers (+) over Mountaineers- Okay, while we are at it how many of you knew that Coastal Carolina was know as the Chanticleers...alright, if you say so but what are Chanticleers. ( I had to google it) Anyway this has been a terribly disappoint season for West Virginia and I know that tough guy coach Bog Huggins will battle you with whatever he's got until the final buzzer. The Mountaineers give it a 'good old college try' in the Big-12 conference tourney wining two games before falling short like they way they will tonight. Take COASTAL CAROLINA! |
03-24-19 | Kings v. Lakers +1.5 | 106-111 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Sacramento at L.A. Lakers 9:30 ET Lakers (+) over Kings- Well, it's official...The Lakers are out of the playoffs and LeBron legacy has taken a hit. The race to the bottom won't be as successful for LA as other have been doing it longer as they have lost 16 of their last 20. This must seem like a 'Prince and the Pauper' switch for Los Angels as the Kings who haven't made the playoffs in 13 years are favored in LA against the Lakers. But, the Kings still trail the Spurs by 5.5 games with just 10 games to play. Sacramento knows their chances are slim and will fade late here. Take the LAKERS! |
03-24-19 | Ohio State +6 v. Houston | Top | 59-74 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 39 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Houston 8:40 ET Buckeyes (+) over Cougars- Sometimes teams that had potential and never lived up to it mesh together at season's end. Surly a season with 14 losses is well more than Ohio State had played for but a few wins as underdogs during the tournament puts in all in the distant past. Houston is a monster no question but there are concerns over the strength of schedule and the lack of big-game pressure. Note that they blew their conference championship for the second year in a row after winning the regular season title both seasons. The Cougars are 34-16-2 ATS in their last 52 games overall and the Buckeyes are 5-0 ATS in their last five games at neutral sites. Take OHIO STATE! |
03-24-19 | Oklahoma v. Virginia -10.5 | 51-63 | Win | 100 | 20 h 43 m | Show
Oklahoma vs Virginia 7:45 ET Cavaliers (-) over Sooners- Is Virginia doing it again...I mean okay, the Cavaliers recovered from their ACC Tourney loss and their opening round NCAA loss last season in the second half to defeat 16th seed Gardner Webb 71-56 Friday. Oklahoma meanwhile was out of character routing Mississippi 95 -72 and boy will they be surprised at how difficult it will be to score Sunday after approaching the 100-point mark last time out. I can tell you this...this may NOT end up my 'Highest-Rated' play of the day but it is the one that I like BEST! The Cavaliers are 43-19-1 ATS in their 63 games overall. POUND VIRGINIA! |
03-24-19 | Spurs +1.5 v. Celtics | 115-96 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
San Antonio at Boston 7:30 ET Spurs (+) over Celtics- Oh, how the mighty have fallen...since St. Patricks Day in Boston the Celtics are green around the gills. They have lost three straight including a 124-117 loss yesterday at Charlotte where they blew an 18-point fourth quarter lead and of course everyone except Kyrie Irving is to blame. San Antonio is now in the eighth in the West playoff seeding and have lost their last two after a nine games winning streak. Brad Stevens is starting to confront his team's play but just needs to look at the Irving and his huge ego which is affecting everyone else on the court. Boston is a mess and this 'line' tell 'us' that they are in trouble. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
03-24-19 | Harvard v. NC State -10.5 | 77-78 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 31 m | Show
Harvard at N.C. State 7:30 ET Wolfpack (-) over Crimson- Whenever I play against an Ivy league school (ie Yale on Friday) I feel like I'm making a suckers bet. I can't help but feel the are over-valued and then I see a number like this. Harvard done 'us' good by winning at Georgetown but their play on Sundays makes me believe they are missing the books. The Crimson are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. Hey it's as good a reason as any, but this line is way big and I expect the margin to be at least 20 points. Take NC STATE! |
03-24-19 | UCF +13.5 v. Duke | 76-77 | Win | 100 | 17 h 49 m | Show
Central Florida vs Duke 2:15 ET Panthers (+) over Blue Devils- I know one thing, as far as I'm concerned Duke passes the eye test. Watching them is like viewing a different kind of animal. Really, I was impressed but they still managed to keep South Dakota State in the game as they have one glaring weakness that everyone is aware of (if it matters or not we will see) and that is their lack of a 3-point shooting game. Central Florida has the tallest player in the Tournament o UFC is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games and 12-4 ATS out of conference. Duke is not only 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games overall they are also 1-8 ATS in their last nine games following a straight-up win. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
03-24-19 | Nuggets v. Pacers +2 | 88-124 | Win | 100 | 6 h 25 m | Show
Denver at Indiana 5:00 ET Pacers (+) over Nuggets- Both clubs are fighting for playoff position with Denver in a battle for the top spot in the West while Indiana is trying to establish home court for at least one playoff series. The Pacers return home after a disastrous road thrip where they dropped four straight including a 102-100 loss at Denver. The Nuggets enter this fray winners of six straight and are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 trips to Indiana but the underdog is an impressive 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings and the Pacers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 at home. Take INDIANA! |
