02-07-19 | Washington v. Arizona +1.5 | 67-60 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 4 m | Show
Washington at Arizona 9:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Huskies- Washington is on an 11-game winning streak going 9-1-1 ATS during that run. Arizona who was expected to be the class of the PAC-12 have dropped their last three and have been a huge conference disappointment at 5-4. The Huskies are 9-0 in PAC-12 action and have a 3-game lead at the mid-point of conference play and may not be fully committed here. Arizona has their eight game series winning steak stopped again the Huskies last February ans I expect the Wildcats who are 10-2 SU at home to start a new winning streak here. Take ARIZONA! |
02-07-19 | Cincinnati v. Memphis +4 | 69-64 | Loss | -104 | 8 h 6 m | Show
Cincinnati at Memphis 7:00 ET Tigers (+) over Bearcats- Cincinnati have climbed to No. 25 in the national rankings and they are a dominant figure in the AAC with an 8-1 record. Memphis may not be up to their normal standard but they are 11-1 straight-up at home while going 8-4 ATS with their only loss coming against No. 1 Tennessee. The Bearcats could get caught looking ahead to their weekend match against Houston as the Tigers their last two and three of their last four. Although the Bearcats have won the last four meetings and six of eight this is a spot for the Tigers. Take MEMPHIS! |
02-07-19 | Houston v. UCF +2.5 | Top | 77-68 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
Houston at Central Florida 7:00 ET Panthers (+) over Cougars- Houston who enters Orlando on a six-game winning streak is 21-1 on the season earning a No. 12 ranking and is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games. Central Florida on the other hand has won 31 home games in-a-row which is the nation's longest active streak. The Knights have won three of their last four and have a huge presence in the middle with 7-6 Tacko Fall who averages 2.8 blocks and will force the Cougars to adjust their shots. Central is just 5-44 All-time against ranked teams but a pair of those wins came the last two seasons. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
02-06-19 | Rockets v. Kings +3.5 | 127-101 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 35 m | Show
Houston at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Rockets- James Harden has scored 30 or more points in 27 straight games but it doesn't do much good in the long run if there are no other contributors. Houston is beset with injuries as Chris Paul, Clint Capela and Eric Gordon are sidelined and that wears on a team that is 9-17 ATS on the road. Sacramento who has won three straight and is 19-8 ATS at home look to get a measure of revenge over the Rockets who defeated them 132-112 at home in November. The Kings have missed the playoffs 12 straight years and will break that streak this season. Take SACRAMENTO. |
02-06-19 | Hornets +5.5 v. Mavs | Top | 93-99 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
Charlotte at Dallas 8:30 ET Hornets (+) over Mavericks- The Hornets who are just 7-18 SU and 19-9 at home on the road blew a 20-point lead at home against the LA Clippers last night. Charlotte is now one-game under .500 and were destroyed by the Mavericks 122-84 in the last meeting at home and will look forward to the second meeting in Dallas where they are 4-1 ATS in the last five. I suspect that it will take some time for newly acquired Trey Burke, Tom Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee in fit in and of course Porzingis is down until next season. Take CHARLOTTE! |
02-06-19 | Wizards +12 v. Bucks | 129-148 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Washington at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Wizards (+) over Bucks- There should be nothing but one-way action on this matchup! Milwaukee has just completed a 10-day five game road trip with four wins and have had the best record in the East since December 7 and now have the best overall record. Washington on the other hand has lost four of five including and have received the news that John Wall will be gone the rest of this season and all of the next. The oddity here is that the Wizards who are just 6-20 on the road have defeated the Bucks twice in Milwaukee this season. After surrendering 268 points in their last two games the Wiz should 'buck-up.' Take WASHINGTON! |
02-06-19 | Maryland v. Nebraska -130 | 60-45 | Loss | -130 | 7 h 34 m | Show
Maryland at Nebraska 7:00 ET Terrapins (+) over Cornhuskers- Maryland started 7-1 in Big Ten action but has dropped three of four while the Cornhuskers never got started and are 3-8 in conference play and have lost five straight. These two will be butting heads as the Terrapins are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games but Nebraska has been a bully at home going 18-7-1 72% ATS in their last 26 home games. The Terps have the shooting advantage hitting 40% from beyond the arc while the mis-firing Huskers are at just 30%. but the key factor here is that the Cornhuskers are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 at home. Take NEBRASKA! |
02-06-19 | Clemson v. Georgia Tech +4 | Top | 65-42 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
Clemson at Georgia Tech 7:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Tigers- Streaking clubs that are moving in opposite directions clash in Atlanta where Georgia Tech has dropped their last three games will host Clemson who has won their last two and five of six. The Tigers bounced back after losing five of their first six ACC games but are still just 1-4 Su in true road games and 3-6 ATS overall away from home. Georgia Tech is 15-7 ATS on the season including 9-5 SU at home. The key factor here is the Yellow Jackets record as hosts going 19-8 ATS in their last 27 in Atlanta. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
02-06-19 | Connecticut +4 v. Temple | 63-81 | Loss | -109 | 6 h 46 m | Show
Connecticut at Temple 6:00 ET Huskies (+) over Owls- This one could surprise 'us' as the Huskies are one of the more improved team s in college basketball and should be motivated here. Temple who is 8-2 SU at home are a mere 3-9-1 ATS as hosts while Connecticut has problems of their own going 0-4 SU in true road games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games. The Owls have played tough against better competition but falter against lesser foes. Take CONNECTICUT! |
02-05-19 | Heat +7 v. Blazers | Top | 118-108 | Win | 100 | 12 h 38 m | Show |
Miami at Portland 10:30 ET heat (+) over Trailblazers- After a slow start Miami finally got to the break-even mark only to drop their last three all at home and are now 3-games under .500 while Portland has won their last three and six of seven as well as eight straight at home. These two met right after Christmas in Miami and the Heat got the best of the Trailblazers 120-111 as a -1.5-favorite but they are 0-4 ATS in their last four in Portland and the Blazers are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six against teams with losing records. 22-7 SU at home and 19-10 ATS. With the addition of Rodney Hood who will see more playing time than both traded players Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin will add more quality minutes on the floor. But, it is MIAMI! |
02-05-19 | Wolves v. Grizzlies +1 | 106-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show
Minnesota at Memphis 8:00 ET Grizzlies (-) over Timberwolves-- Karl-Anthony Towns has been schooling the opposition of late hitting the game winner against the Grizzlies last Wednesday in their 99-97 (-3) overtime win and on-cover. He followed that up with a 31-point and 12 rebound performance at Denver. The Timberwolves struggle on the road winning just eight of 25 and don't handle adversity well going 0-5 ATS after a straight-up loss. Memphis has had its way against the Wolves and are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take the GRIZZLIES! |
02-05-19 | Raptors +3 v. 76ers | 119-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Toronto at Philadelphia 8:05 ET Raptors (+) over 76ers- These two powerhouses met three times before the holidays with Toronto winning the first two at home before the 76ers broke out with a 126-101 win. It is difficult to gage what recent history between these two actually means as both clubs have mad major overhauls in the last 12 months but, the Raptors are 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Toronto has a balanced lineup and even with the likes of All-star guard Kyle Lowry and who will most likely be sidelined as they are 8-4 without Lowry and 11-3 when Kawhi Leonard is 'resting.' The Sixers were missing JJ Redick in their loss at Sacramento Saturday and forward Wilson Chandler will be out two weeks. The Raptors are 16-11 straight-up on the road and the 76ers are 21-5 SU at home but just 14-12 ATS. Take TORONTO |
02-05-19 | NC State +10.5 v. North Carolina | 96-113 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 11 m | Show
N.C. State at North Carolina 8:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Tar Heels- These two ranked intra-state rivals are moving in different directions as the season matures. No. 10 North Carolina has won five straight and nine of 10 while NC State has dropped their last two setting an NCAA record for ineptitude since the inception of the shot-clock by scoring just 24 points at Virginia Tech Saturday. In that contest (if you can call it that) the Wolfpack shot 2-28 7.1% from 3-point range and 9-54 16.7% overall from the floor. NC State's high scorer C.J. Bryce had 7-points and Braxton Beverly played the most minutes and was 0-12 from the field including 0-9 from beyond the arc. When teams get crushed like that, especially good teams, they come out with huge intensity and battle down to the final horn their nest time out. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! |
02-05-19 | Florida State +2.5 v. Syracuse | 80-62 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
Florida State at Syracuse 8:00 ET Seminoles (+) over Orange- It always amazes me when teams in the same conference with the same records play each other and one is ranked and the other gets no consideration. No. 24 Florida State invades the Carrier Dome and are on the upswing again winning their last three after a 1-4 losing spurt. Syracuse is 7-2 in ACC action with a win over Duke on their resume an are 11-3 SU at home. The Seminoles won the lone matchup in overtime last season 101-90 but have lost five of the last eight meetings but get the money today. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
02-05-19 | St. John's +7 v. Marquette | Top | 70-69 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
St. John's at Marquette 8:00 ET Red Storm (+) over Golden Eagles- These two met on New Years Day and the Red Storm destroyed the Golden Eagles 89-69 and are now 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings. Since that defeat No. 9 Marquette has reeled off eight straight wins going 7-1 ATS including 5-0 ATS in the last five overall. The former Warriors are 14-0 Su at home (11-3 ATS) 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. St. Johns was routed by Duke 91-61 Saturday and look to rebound against a quality team that they know they can play with as they already handed the Eagles one of their three losses. It happens again tonight. Take ST. JOHN'S! |
02-04-19 | Spurs v. Kings +2 | Top | 112-127 | Win | 100 | 10 h 30 m | Show |
San Antonio Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Spurs- San Antonio who has won five straight is embarking on their annual 'rodeo road trip' where they play eight straight road games that span thru the ALL-Star break. Last season it was a six-game trip that saw the Spurs go 2-4. Sacramento has won their last two including an impressive win over the Sixers on Saturday and is a stellar 18-8 ATS at home while San Antonio is just 10-15 straight-up on the road. The Spurs had defeated the Kings 14 consecutive times (11-4-1 ATS) before their streak was broken by Sacramento in November. Kings rule here...take SACRAMENTO! |
02-04-19 | Rockets v. Suns +8.5 | 118-110 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
Houston at Phoenix 9:00 ET Suns (+) over Rockets- The Suns won't just set in the West they are trying to once agin procure the No. 1 draft pack this season and have lost 10 straight. But, they have some work to do as the Knicks are racing to the finish line with 13 straight losses and just unloaded anything they had worth watching. Houston has won the last eight in the series and with James Harden running the floor there probably be very little defense here tonight. Although Phoenix is just 7-20 SU at home they are 11-16 ATS while the Rockets are 9-16 ATS on the road. The Rockets are just a dog team that will play down to their opposition and are 0-5 ATS in their last five after an ATS win. Take PHOENIX! |
02-04-19 | Iowa State v. Oklahoma +3 | 75-74 | Win | 100 | 7 h 27 m | Show
Iowa State at Oklahoma 9:00 ET Sooners (+) over Cyclones- No. 20 Iowa State has won their last three and is 6-3 in Big-12 action while Oklahoma has dropped their last two and are just 3-6 in conference action having lost four of their last five. The Cyclones are the number 1 scoring team in the Big-12 with 79-points per, 73.3 FT's and 48.4 FG's while Oklahoma is second in conference rebounding and are 8-2 SU at home while Iowa State is 3-3 in true road games. Add that the Sooners are 15-5-2 ATS in their last 22 games overall while the Cyclones are 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings but the home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10. Just a good spot for the Sooners to show up. Take OKLAHOMA! |
02-04-19 | West Virginia v. Texas Tech -11.5 | 50-81 | Win | 100 | 7 h 17 m | Show
West Virginia at Texas Tech 9:00 ET Red Raiders (-) over Mountaineers- Missed out on both these clubs on Saturday playing Texas Tech who lost to Kansas and passing on West Virginia who punished Oklahoma 79-71. Now, tonight I suspect that there just might be some interest in Texas Tech having lost four of their last six while the Mountaineers who are 13-6-1 ATS on Monday nights have taken a dive this season. Bob Huggins' club has fallen on hard times this year and have been beset with injuries as West Virginia is 0-5 in true road games and 2-8 ATS overall away from Morgantown but the road team is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings. The Red Raiders number are pitiful as they are 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 overall and 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 against the Big-12. So, we have a pair of teams that are struggling to win bit one has talent. Take TEXAS TECH! |
02-04-19 | Penn State +3.5 v. Northwestern | 59-52 | Win | 100 | 7 h 31 m | Show
Penn State at Northwestern 8:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Wildcats- I wonder how many people are 'chasing' the Lions with them winless 0-10 in Big Ten action and are 0-6 in true road games. Northwestern must be chomping at the bit after dropping their last two on the road to No. 23 Wisconsin and No. 24 Maryland. Although Penn State is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 conference games they have dominated the Wildcats going 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings. Add that Northwestern is 2-6 ATS in their last eight leaves me with the Lions. Take PENN STATE! |
02-04-19 | Nuggets v. Pistons +4.5 | Top | 103-129 | Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show |
Denver at Detroit 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over Nuggets- Denver has won six in-a-row and is just marching thru the NBA season racking up wins and are tied with Golden State for the best record (37-15) in the West. Detroit after a quick start to the season (13-7) has reverted back to form. The Nuggets back court has taken a hit as guards Jamal Murray and Gary Harris are sidelined as they won 107-106 Saturday night in Minnesota and are 4-1 ATS in their last four road games. Detroit has to regroup after blowing a 25-point lead to the Clippers on Saturday as they were outscored 64-36 in the second half. Look for the Pistons to bounce back with a complete effort tonight. Take DETROIT! |
02-02-19 | 76ers v. Kings +3.5 | 108-115 | Win | 100 | 11 h 23 m | Show
Philadelphia at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over 76ers- I love playing 'on' both these every chance I get and tonight I have two chances. Philadelphia is off of a huge win at Golden State Thursday and the Kings are off of a 135-122 win over Atlanta and swept the two-game series last year but had lost the previous six meetings ATS. The Sixers are still 9-1 ATS in their last 10 in Sacramento and 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings. But, this is a different Kings regime as they are 17-8 ATS at home tis season where as the 76ers are 11-15 ATS on the road. Take SACRAMENTO! |
02-02-19 | Rockets v. Jazz -7 | Top | 125-98 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
Houston at Utah 9:00 ET Jazz (-) over Rockets- Last night 'we' posted Denver as 'our' Highest-Rated' Megabucks and they came though easily as the Rockets were grounded. To tell you the true I see the same thing over again tonight. This is the story of teams that have one player control all the action they can be flashy and win here and there at times but never on a champIons team (ie Westbrook, Maravich, the Big O) they just don't win. Add that Houston has had their runs and they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games over all and 0-3-1 ATS against the Jazz in the last four meetings! Take UTAH! |
02-02-19 | Lakers v. Warriors -10.5 | 101-115 | Win | 100 | 10 h 47 m | Show
LA Lakers at Golden State 8:30 ET Warriors (-) over Lakers- Lebron's back and the Lakers are already 1-0 with an overtime win against the Clippers on Thursday while Golden State was man-handled by the 76ers.With or without Clay Thompson there are so many reasons to be on the Warriors here. They rebound off a loss coming back on a days rest 4-0 ATS and the dominate the Lakers. Golden State is 9-3 ATS when hosting LA and James will get a taste of that tonight. Lay it...take the WARRIORS! |
02-02-19 | Tennessee v. Texas A&M +11.5 | 93-76 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 47 m | Show
Tennessee at Texas A&M 8:00 ET Aggies (+) over Volunteers- Okay, the Vols are No. 1 and they deserve to be there...for now. Winners of 15 straight Tennessee is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in true road games and they are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 road games overall. For Texas A&M it has been a struggle at 8-11 and 6-6 at home but with a horrific 3-9 ATS at home. The Aggies don't have the offensive firepower of the Volunteers but they will have their 'Famous 12th-Man' as their home court against the nation's No. 1. Aggies play tough here. Take TEXAS A&M! |
02-02-19 | Kentucky v. Florida +4 | Top | 65-54 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 56 m | Show |
Kentucky at Florida 4:00 ET Gators (+) over Wildcats- It has been a bit of a struggle for Florida this season as they are 4-4 in their last eight while the Wildcats seem to improve each time out winning their last seven and 9-of-10. One thing though the Gators like getting ready for the spotlight when Kentucky is around as they are 3-1 SU and ATS in the past two seasons. The favorite has made the money seven of the last eight meetings but the home team is 7-2 ATS in the last nine. This could be a stinker with both teams playing such tough defense but Florida only allows 62.7 points per contest and can surprise late. Take FLORIDA! |
02-02-19 | Texas Tech +4.5 v. Kansas | 63-79 | Loss | -109 | 15 h 50 m | Show
Texas Tech at Kansas 4:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Jayhawks- Another scary one where the 'numbers' just say no but the talent and spot says something else. Both clubs are ranked and have hurt the 'backers' with the Red Raiders going 7-13-1 ATS and Kansas 8-13 ATS including 4-7 ATS at home. 'We' have done pretty well 'against' the Jayhawks especially on Saturday's when they are 2-9 ATS. But, Tech has been even worse going 2-11-2 ATS in their last 15 Big-12 game sand they are just 3-13 ATS in the last 16 meetings at Kansas. When I start to examine talent I can't help but believe the injuries to this 'Hawks squad has been impactful and with the Red Raiders having the third best defense in college basketball behind only Virginia and Michigan. Take TEXAS TECH! |
02-02-19 | Mississippi State +2 v. Ole Miss | 81-75 | Win | 100 | 14 h 19 m | Show
Mississippi State at Mississippi 3:30 ET Bulldogs (+) over Rebels- My goodness I haven't realized until now how one-sided this series has been of late with Mississippi winning and getting the money in seven of the last eight meetings. The Rebels have already beaten the Bulldogs this season turning the trick in Starkville 81-77 as a 5-point underdog. The closer one looks the worse it seem for Mississippi State as Ole Miss is 17-4 ATS in their last 21 home games and the home team is 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings. So, what am I supposed to let that scare me (well it does a bit), not enough to keep me off the 'right' side. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
02-02-19 | Notre Dame +2.5 v. Boston College | 79-73 | Win | 100 | 13 h 46 m | Show
Notre Dame at Boston College 2:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Eagles- Notre Dame may be away from the 'Golden Dome' but they have a golden opportunity to win their first true road game (0-4) against a team with equal ineptitude. Boston College has lost six of eight and are 1-7 in their last eight home games while the Irish are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. This is considered the Jesuits 'Holy War' and both sides will come out firing. Take the FIGHTING IRISH! |
02-01-19 | Thunder v. Heat +4.5 | 118-102 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 36 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Miami 8:00 ET Heat (+) over Thunder- It appears Russell Westbrook is tired of James Harden getting the headlines as he has posted four straight triple-doubles and along with Paul George has led Oklahoma City to six straight victories. Miami has struggled of late losing five of their last eight games and are just 11-14 Su and ATS at home. The Thunder who are 15-11 both SU and ATS on the road have won the past five meetings but 7-foot center Steven Adam (ankle) and guard Terrance Fergusson (back) will be missing tonight for OKC and Heat center Hassan Whiteside will take advantage. Take MIAMI! |
02-01-19 | Michigan v. Iowa +5 | Top | 59-74 | Win | 100 | 6 h 12 m | Show |
Michigan at Iowa 7:00 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Wolverines- No. 5 ranked Michigan has rebounded from their single loss at Wisconsin with three straight wins and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Wolverines have been dominate in Big Ten action going 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 conference games and are 22-8-1 in their last 31 road games. Iowa has dropped their last two games following a five game winning streak but is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings at home versus Michigan. This is just a good spot for the Hawkeyes to perform well. Take IOWA! |
01-31-19 | 76ers +10 v. Warriors | 113-104 | Win | 100 | 11 h 45 m | Show
Philadelphia at Golden State 11:00 ET 76ers (+) over Warriors- I love both these teams I really do but I am always afraid to get on them as so often they are not playing with a full deck so to speak. Players take days off too often and pout for the slightest reason because of the huge fragile egos. But, one thing is for certain both these clubs have the best talent in the league. This match-up is sort of a mini all-star game without the headlines but with all the headliners. Golden State has won 11 in-a-row and with the insertion of Boogie Cousins they are more powerful than ever as he has already played a strong role. So now Philadelphia shows up with talent led by the 'strength' of Joel Embiid along with Jimmy Walker and then Ben Simmons. Does it matter...the Warriors have won the last 10 meetings although the 76ers are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. This one, well...I want PHILADELPHIA! |
01-31-19 | Oregon +2.5 v. Utah | 78-72 | Win | 100 | 10 h 5 m | Show
Oregon at Utah 9:00 ET Ducks (+) over Utes- Utah's basketball team much like their football team this past season just doesn't measure up to what I am used to seeing. In past past we have seen Utah play quality ball that always gave up a fair shake for our money and currently they have won four straight and are 6-1 both Su and ATS in their last seven. But, things have changed as you can see by what the odds maker thinks of the Utes at home even after winning their last four. (And that's my point) Oregon has struggled without Bol Bol in the line-up but have always given Utah fits on the hardwood as the Ducks are 8-1-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Take OREGON! |
01-31-19 | Nets v. Spurs -7.5 | 114-117 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 55 m | Show
Brooklyn at San Antonio 8:00 ET Spurs (-) over Nets- In season's past I would always be looking for a 'spot' to play on the Nets and now it seems every time they take the floor they are in a 'spot.' San Antonio is off of a win over the Suns and of course coach Popovich read them the riot act so I expect a concerted effort out of the Spurs tonight. Brooklyn has won seven of eight and are 11-3 in January and truly look like a franchise that has turned the corner (See NY Knicks). The Nets admit that they are dragging and look toward the All-star break. There is a another hurdle they will have to overcome as Brooklyn has lost 15 straight in San Antonio and are 7-25 1 ATS in the last 33 meetings and that's not going to change tonight. Take the SPURS! |
01-31-19 | Xavier +3 v. Georgetown | Top | 73-80 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
Xavier at Georgetown 8:00 ET Musketeers (+) over Hoyas- Georgetown came up with the gams they want beating St. John's on Sunday as Patrick Ewing finally gets to gloat over Chris Mullins (believe me Ewing will NOT gloat over Mullins as he has always carried himself with class. Xavier has dropped their last three but it isn't like they didn't show up. Fighting hard they succumbed to Villanova 85-75 and then dropped a pair at home tp Providence 64-62 and faltering down the stretch in losing to Marquette 87-82 on Saturday. I really think the Musketeers here are they are hungry off of three straight losses and they have had great success over Georgetown winning 14 of 18 meetings including six straight Big East meetings. The Hoyas should return to character as they are 14-38-1 ATS in their last 53 home game and the road team is 7-2 ATS and thats enough for me. Take XAVIER! |
01-31-19 | Bucks +3 v. Raptors | Top | 105-92 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Toronto 8:05 ET Bucks (+) over Raptors- The 'line' says it all to me. I just look at Toronto leading the East in wins, at home where they are 21-4 straight-up, with Kawhi Leonard healthy it doesn't matter to me who the opposition is I feel the Raptors should always be a 5-point favorite at home (excepting the Warriors). But, ya know what they are playing the Bucks who actually lead the East by a half-game who have won 2-of-3 meetings this season including an early December win in Toronto. They are also 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Toronto. Take MILWAUKEE! |
01-31-19 | Purdue v. Penn State +8.5 | 99-90 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 5 m | Show
Purdue at Penn State 7:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Boilermakers- There are two reasons that I will be playing against Purdue here. The first of which is that they can't possibly recover emotionally from winning 'our' Big Ten Game of the Year (1-0) last Saturday when they beat Michigan State. It was 'our' first GOY release of the season and the next GOY winner comes this weekend. What is going on with Penn State? They have lost seven in-a-row and are 0-9 in the Big Ten play. Purdue has won their last five and are off of that huge win but they are just 2-4 straight in true road games. The Boilermakers should certainly have a letdown because they have accomplished their mission already. Lions will have to scape and claw to come up with their first conference win. Take PENN STATE! |
01-30-19 | Jazz +2 v. Blazers | Top | 105-132 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 45 m | Show |
Utah at Portland 10:30 ET Jazz (+) over Trailblazers- The Jazz have started to put it together winning their last three and nine of their last 10 and they have the Trailblazers in their sights. Utah has won the last three meetings and are 14-12 SU on the road. Portland is one of the stronger teams when playing at home going 21-7 Su and a very profitable 18-10 ATS. The Blazers have won five of their last six and have won seven straight at home but their great backcourt is troubled as Damian Lillard was sidelined Saturday and will be missed. Take UTAH! |
01-30-19 | SMU +2 v. Wichita State | 83-85 | Push | 0 | 11 h 31 m | Show
S.M.U at Wichita State 9:00 ET Mustangs (+) over Shockers- My first thoughts are 'How the mighty have fallen.' A few short season's ago 'we' were talking about Wichita State going undefeated on their way to the Final-Four. Now, they are under the break even mark (8-11) and struggling in the AAC. The Mustangs have been what most expected and can have the ability to buck the Shockers here, as Wichita State is the worst shooting team in the conference and SMU averages 13.4 offensive rebounds a game. The Shockers are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall and continue their slide here. Take SOUTHERN METHODIST! |
01-30-19 | Illinois +6 v. Minnesota | Top | 75-86 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 38 m | Show |
Illinois at Minnesota 9:00 ET Illini (+) over Golden Gophers- Whoa, come on, not here, I really don't want to, but like Texas last night we must. Will somebody set me straight about this Illini team and I imagine that I will learn more tonight. I just saw Minnesota control and defeat Iowa Monday night while Illinois was shocking the Big Ten at Maryland 78-67 and have already ponded the Gophers 95-68 at home. Now most would expect the revenge factor to work for Minnesota but they off of a big home win over Iowa but that is not the norm. Minnesota is not only 2-6 ATS in their last eight at home they are 8-17 ATS in the last 25 versus the Big Ten. Add that the Illini are 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings. Take ILLINOIS! |
01-30-19 | Syracuse v. Boston College +3 | 77-71 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 35 m | Show
Syracuse at Boston College 8:00 ET Eagles (+) over Orange- Last season these two ACC schools split their season series with the home teams winning by 18 and 15 points. After starting 0-4 in conference Boston College has won their last two while the Orange started 5-1 but were pounded at Virginia Tech 78-56 on Saturday. Although Syracuse has played 20 games they have only played four true road games while BC is 8-4 straight-up at home. This should be a close had fought battle between a pair of clubs that built their basketball reputations in the Big East. Take BOSTON COLLEGE! |
01-29-19 | Mississippi State +2 v. Alabama | 79-83 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 14 m | Show
Mississippi State at Alabama 8:30 ET Bulldogs (+) over Crimson Tide- Both clubs are at 3-3 in SEC action with Alabama winning 10 of the last 12 meetings against the Bulldogs with State prevailing in the second meeting 67-63 last season. Mississippi State rebounded from their 76-55 loss to Kentucky with a home 92-84 win over Auburn while the Tide is off of a loss at Baylor. But Alabama is are 7-3-1 in their last 11 games overall and 7-3 ATS against the SEC. The Bulldogs are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games and get the money here. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
01-29-19 | Thunder v. Magic +5.5 | 126-117 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 19 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Thunder- A pair of streaking clubs meet in Orlando where the Thunder enter on a five-game positive run while the Magic have dropped their last three. OKC is off a huge home win over the NBA's best on Sunday defeating Milwaukee 118-112 while the Magic have been competitive in their losses falling by 4,4 and 5 going 2-1 ATS. You know there are a number of oddities that occur between teams that meet time and again. One of them is that Orlando seems to have OKC's number. They split the series last year each protecting home court but the Magic are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and add that they are 4-0-1 ATS in the last five games against teams with winning records. Take ORLANDO! |
01-29-19 | Wizards v. Cavs +8.5 | 113-116 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show
Washington at Cleveland 7:00 ET Cavaliers (+) over Wizards- Washington may have 11 more wins than the Cavaliers but they are dead even in the most important category the ATS record where the Wizards are 22-27 while Cleveland is 22-27-2 ATS. Washington is such a dog team and they have shown they selfs to play 'down' to their competition as they are 1-6 ATS when playing teams with a winning percentage under 40% and the Cavs qualify. The wiz are 6-19 straight-up on the road and the points will be worth taking here. Take CLEVELAND! |
01-29-19 | Bucks v. Pistons +8 | Top | 115-105 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Detroit 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over Bucks- Milwaukee just had a six-game winning streak stopped at OKC 118-112 as a 1.5-point favorite and they haven't lost back-tp-back games this season. The last time the Bucks were in Detroit they won 107-104 as 'the 'Greek Freak' was 15 of 21 from the field with 32 points and 12 rebounds. That brings the series record to 3-0 (2-0-1 ATS) this season against the Pistons. Detroit who is still an Eastern Conference playoff hopeful has dropped three of their last four but is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Detroit. The Pistons have had their ebb and flow and is looking get one over the Bucks. Take DETROIT! |
01-29-19 | Kansas v. Texas +1 | 63-73 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
Kansas at Texas 7:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Jayhawks- I'm hoping for a little Shaka magic here. Texas is having problems and have dropped their last two not to mention the problems they have had against Kansas over the years losing 32 of 40 meetings including 6-10 at home. Everyone is aware of the Jayhawks loss to Kentucky Saturday and it wasn't because they were looking ahead, the Longhorns on the other hand lost their second in-a-row have lost five of seven and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games. Kansas is 88-11 straight-up after a loss (3-0 tis season) and the number here tells me Texas will have to win the game. Looks inviting if you have any sense at all. But Kansas does have kinks in their armor with their big man sidelined. Take the LONGHORNS... |
01-29-19 | Virginia v. NC State +7.5 | 66-65 | Win | 100 | 9 h 40 m | Show
Virginia at N.C. State 7:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Cavaliers- Oh, Virginia is good 'we' know that and although they have failed in the past they do have a legitimate shot at least at the Final-4. There will be a contrast in styles here as the best defensive team in the nation will try and shut down the high scoring Wolfpack. I'm concerned about this because defense travels well and the Cavaliers bring it better then most but, N.C State is 12-1 straight-up and averaging 88.8 points per game at home Not to say that there isn’t a number of red flags which can be expected against a program like Virginia's. List to this they are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 road games and 36-14-1 ATS in their last 51 overall. They are also 8-1 ATS in their last nine visits to Raleigh along with the road team 16-6 ATS in the last 22 meetings. Not to fear, it's not perfect and this is a spot for the Wolfpack to shine. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! |
01-28-19 | TCU +5 v. Texas Tech | 65-84 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 44 m | Show
Texas Christian at Texas Tech 9:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) Red Raiders- Texas Tech started the season 15-1 by beating up on non-conference foes and then dropped three starts in Big-12 action. The Red Raiders are 11-1 straight-up at home but just 3-8-1 ATS as hosts and 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games. Texas Christian on the other hand is just 1-3 SU in true road games but a rewarding 6-2 ATS away from home. The 'numbers' surrounding this encounter are all one-sided as TCU is 12-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall while Tech is 8-21-2 ATS in their last 31 games overall and 5-17-2 in their last 24 games in the Big-12 and finally the road team is 13-3-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
01-28-19 | Nuggets v. Grizzlies +6.5 | Top | 95-92 | Win | 100 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
Denver at Memphis 8:05 ET Grizzlies (+) over Nuggets- After a fast start Memphis has returned to reality losing 21 of 25 and eight in-a-row before Saturday's 106-103 win over Indiana which may be bad news as they are 0-6 ATS after a straight-up win. Denver who is 22-6 SU at home have struggled a bit on the road where they are just 9-13 ATS and have already lost 89-87 at Memphis in early November as they have split the two meetings this season. The Nuggets are off of a pair of blow-out wins against Phoenix and Philadelphia scoring 70 points in the first half of both contests. Tonight, not so much. Take MEMPHIS! |
01-28-19 | Duke v. Notre Dame +15 | Top | 83-61 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 45 m | Show |
Duke at Notre Dame 7:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Blue Devils- I wonder if the beating the Irish took in the FBS championship has had an effect on the basketball team...nah. But, Notre Dame has lost four straight and is just 1-8 ATS in their last nine games. Although the 'Domers' are 10-4 straight-up at home they are just 4-10 ATS as hosts and were just blown out 82-57 by Virginia on Saturday. That loss will have them focused tonight against No. 2 Duke who is putting it together again. Still, at home with one of the nation's elite in town the Irish will show you their best. Take NOTRE DAME! |
01-27-19 | Heat v. Knicks +5 | 106-97 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 55 m | Show
Miami at New York 7:30 ET Knicks (+) over Heat- Just how long with this Knicks odyssey continue as they are currently on an eight-game slide and have won just four of 20 games at the 'Garden' including their last 10 in-a-row. Miami who is ready to embark on a huge road trip and has dropped each of their last two games as visitors against the Knicks. New York's center Enes Kanter hasn't played since refusing to play in London because of death threats should see action tonight. Take NEW YORK! |
01-27-19 | Raptors v. Mavs +5 | 123-120 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Toronto at Dallas 7:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Raptors- Toronto has dropped their last two games playing stateside at Indiana and Houston and are now 1-7 ATS after a straight-up loss. As a matter of fact the Raptors have not actually thrived on the road where they are just 15-11 straight-up and 11-15 ATS while Dallas has been strong at home going 18-6 straight-up. Kawhi Leonard in back for Toronto but that is balanced with the return to the Mavericks by Dennis Smith Jr. Not a good spot for the Raptors...take DALLAS! |
01-27-19 | Wizards +4.5 v. Spurs | Top | 119-132 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 28 m | Show |
Washington at San Antonio 7:00 ET Wizards (+) over Spurs- This seems like a very 'short' number for this matchup as Washington has struggled mightily on the road winning just six of 24 games straight up and losers of 18 straight in San Antonio with their last win coming in December of 1999. The Wizards are actually playing better of late without John Wall winning eight of their last 12 but are an atrocious 8-21 ATS in the last 29 meetings. But, this is not the same Spurs club by a large margin. This 'price' is suspect. Take WASHINGTON! |
01-27-19 | Florida State v. Miami-FL +4 | 78-66 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 9 m | Show
Florida State at Miami-Fl 6:00 ET Hurricanes (+) over Seminoles- Since meeting three weeks ago both of these clubs have fallen a bit. Florida State won 68-62 as hosts and then went on to lose their next three contests while Miami has dropped five of their last six. Neither of these squads have been successful against the 'number' as the Seminoles are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall but hold a 47-35 series edge but Miami is 27-14 at home against FSU. The Seminoles are just 1-3 straight up in true road games and 3-5-1 ATS in anything away from Tallahassee. The Hurricanes are 7-3 SU at hone and get the money here. Take MIAMI-FL. |
01-27-19 | Houston v. Tulsa +7.5 | 77-65 | Loss | -107 | 4 h 8 m | Show
Chip's Guaranteed' NCAA Power Play Houston at Tulsa 2:00 ET Golden Hurricane (+) over Cougars- Houston certainly has shown that they belong among the nation's Top-25 coming off of a 94-50 route of East Carolina making 16 3-point shots. Tulsa who is not of the standard that they are known for are still 10-1 straight-up at home, The Cougars already have a 74-56 victory over the Hurricane and are 23-9-2 ATS in their last 34 games overall but Tulsa is tough enough to get the money at home. Take GOLDEN HURRICANE! |
01-27-19 | Michigan State v. Purdue +3 | Top | 63-73 | Win | 100 | 13 h 41 m | Show |
Michigan State at Purdue 1:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Spartans- Ya know a guy could have gotten rich or gone broke if they stayed with or played against the Spartans as they have won and 'covered' nine straight Big Ten contests this season and have won 14 straight overall. Number five on Michigan State's hit list was a 77-59 won over the Boilermakers three weeks ago as -7 favorites. Purdue has turned thing around winning their last four and seven of eight while going 9-0 straight-up at home. MSU has a pair of other trends supporting their side as they re of course 16-5 ATS in their last 21 and the road team in this series ins 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings but the Spartans haven't won in Purdue since 2014. These two are so even that they own the Big Ten best recored the past five years MSU 60-21 and Purdue 29-21. This time it's PURDUE! |
01-26-19 | Hawks +10.5 v. Blazers | 111-120 | Win | 100 | 11 h 27 m | Show
Atlanta at Portland 10:00 ET Hawks (+) over Trailblazers- Atlanta has been and is considered one of the bottom feeders starting the season and nothing has really changed. Although the Hawks started 6-23 they have soared to 9-9 in their last 18 contests and are a respectable 14-12 ATS on the road. These two split their two meetings last season with the home team getting the money. In what should be a high scoring contest take the points. Take ATLANTA! |
01-26-19 | 76ers v. Nuggets -9 | 110-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show
Philadelphia at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over 76ers- In the NBA player shuffle that seems to happen all too often nightly might see some differences in the line-up here. Philadelphia will most likely be without their super stars Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler. Embiid is having back issues while Butler has flown to LA to have his wrist examined by a specialist. Although the 76ers have dominated the Nuggets in Denver going 11-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings in the Mile High City and are 12-3-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings they will be without their top two stars and it ends for them tonight. Take DENVER! |
01-26-19 | Warriors v. Celtics +3.5 | Top | 115-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
Golden State at Boston 8:30 ET Celtics (+) over Warriors- Two of the hottest teams in the NBA if not the two best go at it in Boston where the Celtics will host Golden State. The Warriors have won nine straight and now have the addition of DeMarcus Cousins to add to their already powerful lineup. Boston has won five straight of their own entering this contest and will have a pair of veterans returning for this contest as Al Horford and Kyrie Irving are back in the lineup tonight. Boston always seems to be ready for the Warriors are they are 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. Take BOSTON! |
01-26-19 | Auburn +1 v. Mississippi State | 84-92 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Auburn at Mississippi State 8:30 ET Tigers (+) over Bulldogs- Both clubs cruised thru their non-conference schedule but once SEC action started it all changed. Hey how about this, it is only fitting that these two meet this week as they are both 2-3 in SEC action and all three losses have come to the same teams Kentucky, Mississippi and South Carolina. Auburn with the hiring a few years ago have been th darlings of the public action and are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine SEC contests while Mississippi State is coming off their worst game of the season as they were drubbed by Kentucky 76- 65 and it wasn't that close. Defense will be the key and I like the way the Tigers play it. Take AUBURN! |
01-26-19 | Arizona State +1.5 v. USC | 67-69 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Arizona State at U.S.C. 8:00 ET Sun Devils (+) over Trojans- Both clubs can feel good about themselves as they are on winning streaks with the Sun Devils at three and the Trojans at two. When I saw USC earlier this season I saw them lose four straight and not against the greatest of competition and I thought they were in for a long season. But, they have bounced back winning six of eight including their last two over UCLA and Arizona. I just believe the Sun Devils are better. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
01-26-19 | LSU v. Missouri +5 | 86-80 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 37 m | Show
L.S.U. at Missouri 6:00 ET Tigers (+) over Bengals- Conference play has started and LSU is undefeated at 5-0 while Missouri is just 1-4 in SEC action with their lone win at Texas A&M 66-43. This is just LSU's 4th true road game while Missouri is 6-3 SU and 8-3-1 ATS last 12 at home. LSU has won eight games in-a-row but now they are playing their first game ranked in the Top-25. These two have split the last eight meetings and this one should go to the home team. Take MISSOURI! |
01-26-19 | Kansas State v. Texas A&M +4.5 | Top | 53-65 | Win | 100 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
Kansas State at Texas A&M 2:00 ET Aggies (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State enters College Station riding a five-game Big-12 winning streak including their third win over a Top-25 ranked team Texas Tech holding them to their lowest out put in four years. while the Aggies have lost six of seven a and are just 2-8 ATS at home while the Wildcats are just 2-3 straight up in true road games. Although K. State leads the series 18-8 A&M is 7-3 straight-up as hosts against the Wildcats. Texas TEXAS A&M! |
01-26-19 | Marquette v. Xavier +3 | Top | 87-82 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Marquette at Xavier 2:00 ET Musketeers (+) over Golden Eagles- The fact that this is a Big East matchup still has me wondering how teams based in the mid-west are part of the Big East but Marquette enters Cincinnati to play Xavier this afternoon. The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series 50-24 but have lost nine of the 13 meetings since Xavier joined the Big East. A small favorite on the road No. 11 Marquette in just 2-4 ATS away from Milwaukee while the Musketeers are 9-3 straight-up ay home. Take XAVIER! |
01-25-19 | Pistons +5 v. Mavs | 101-106 | Push | 0 | 8 h 59 m | Show
Detroit at Dallas 8:30 ET Pistons (+) over Mavericks- The Mavericks have another NBA case of 'I'm for me' as Dennis Smith Jr. had missed six games because of a bruised ego pertaining to his roll as his playing time decreased. Smith's jealousy over newcomer Luka Doncic's playing time and results as Dallas jumped up in the standings this season. Detroit has lost 19 of their last 27 but are off of a 98-94 road win at New Orleans as they are 12-11 ATS away from home. Although, Detroit has shown little improvement under Coach of the Year Casey they are 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings and get the cash here. Take the PISTONS! |
01-25-19 | Butler +3 v. Creighton | 61-75 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 40 m | Show
Butler at Creighton 8:30 ET Bulldogs (+) over Blue Jays- Butler started slowly in Big East action dropping three of their first four contests with their lone win coming against the Blue Jays the first week in January. That loss by Creighton sent them on a four-game slide and Saturday's win at Georgetown put them back in the win column. Butler meanwhile was out classed by Villanova on Tuesday and is just 1-4 SU in true road games and is 8-17 ATS in their last 25 road games. This is just a good spot for the Bulldogs bounce back. Take BUTLER! |
01-25-19 | Raptors v. Rockets +3.5 | Top | 119-121 | Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
Toronto at Houston 8:00 ET Rockets (+) over Raptors- Through the years in sports one man has never been able to beat a team of five players. Okay, James Harden is a scoring machine but that doesn't always equate to winning as his stats never lie but they can be very deceiving. Houston, has had key injuries that may have forced Harden to dominate the ball even more as none of his teammates have had an assist in any of his last 71 buckets. Toronto leads the East and defeated the Rockets in Houston in their last two visits but were 3-18 straight-up prior to those wins. The Raptors are just 11-14 ATS on the road while Houston is 15-9 ATS as hosts. Take HOUSTON! |
01-25-19 | Wizards +4 v. Magic | 95-91 | Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show
Washington at Charlotte 7:00 ET Wizards (+) over Hornets- Washington has won four of their last six with their two defeats coming by Toronto and Golden State 126-118 last night. Orlando who held on as long as the could are 3-8 in their last 11 contests and are dropping fast in the standings. These two have split their two meetings this season with each winning and holding serve at home. This time around the visitor gets the cash. Take the WIZARDS! |
01-25-19 | Michigan v. Indiana +5 | Top | 69-46 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
Michigan at Indiana 6:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Wolverines- Michigan is off of their worst shooting game of the year but managed to defeat Minnesota 59-57 hitting just 34% of their shots. The Wolverines beat Indiana 74-63 three weeks ago and have won the last five meetings by an average of 14 points. The Hoosiers have dropped five straight but are 10-1 straight-up at home and are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 rod games. Michigan has dominated in Big Ten action going 25-9-1 ATS in the last 35 conference games and they are 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 road games. Indiana is struggling but the underdog is 7-3 ATS and they should be ready here. Take the HOOSIERS! |
01-24-19 | St. Mary's v. BYU +1.5 | 66-71 | Win | 100 | 11 h 32 m | Show
St. Mary's at Brigham Young 11:00 ET Cougars (+) over Gaels- It seems like every season 'we' see St. Mary's in the upper half of the West Coast Conference standing with an outstanding record usually trailing Gonzaga. BYU for the most part in a middle roader in the WCC with a couple of upset wins each season. If this is going to happen this season it most likely will happen here in Provo where they are 9-1 straight-up this season. The Gaels are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings including a 88-86 trouncing of the Cougars three weeks ago but the home team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11. With this 'line' so low the odds makers are giving the Cougars a real chance to win this game outright. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! |
01-24-19 | Arizona State +1.5 v. UCLA | 84-73 | Win | 100 | 11 h 31 m | Show
Arizona State at UCLA 11:00 ET Sun Devils (+) over Bruins- The party is over for the Bruins! In the past season and a half UCLA has had to suspend and then lose players because they were thieves and got caught stealing designer sunglasses in China and others transferred out and finally games and since have dropped their last two on the road. UCLA has dominated this series 68-20 winning seven of the last nine. Although the Sun Devils are just 3-10-2 ATS in their last 15 road games while the home team is 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings. All this but the true issue is the state of the union at UCLA. They are floundering on every level. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
01-24-19 | Michigan State v. Iowa +5.5 | 82-67 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 33 m | Show
Michigan State at Iowa 7:00 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Spartans- These two opened their Big Ten play on Dec. 3 when Michigan State took the Hawkeyes to the wood shed winning 90-68 in East Lansing. The No. 6 Spartans have won 12 straight and are a 'perfect' 8-0 both SU and ATS in the Big Ten and have won 20 straight regular season conference games. Iowa meanwhile has won and 'covered' their last six Big Ten contests but MSU is 17-3 SU in the last 20 meetings. The Hawkeyes are 11-1 straight-up at home and are ranked first in the country in free throws made (395) and at home with friendly whistles. Take the points with IOWA! |
01-22-19 | New Mexico +6 v. UNLV | 58-74 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 37 m | Show
Mew Mexico at UNLV 10:00 ET Lobos (+) over Rebels- This Mountain West battle shouldn't really draw much attention except for the fact that it will be the 'players' last chance to win Tuesday. Mew Mexico is 9-9 SU and just ended a 3-game slide with an 83-53 win as a 12-point favorite over Wyoming. UNLV not to be out done defeated San Jose State 94-56 Saturday and defeated the Lobos 80-69 two weeks ago in Albuquerque. The Rebels surprisingly are 4-1 in MWC play with their lone loss coming at Air Force while UNM is 3-3 and are looking for revenge against this 'over-rated' UNLV squad. Weak coaching and little basketball sense domes the Rebels. Take NEW MEXICO! |
01-22-19 | Kings +11 v. Raptors | Top | 105-120 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 14 m | Show |
Sacramento at Toronto 7:05 ET Kings (+) over Raptors- Toronto has the best record in basketball and are 20-4 straight-up at home although just 21-27 ATS on the season. Sacramento who is above the breakwater mark is 27-20 ATS on the year and are 6-3 ATS in their last nine overall while the Raptors are just 1-6 in their last seven following an ATS win. After disappointing yesterday I expect the young Kings to rebound with a great effort here. Take SACRAMENTO! |
01-22-19 | Villanova v. Butler -118 | 80-72 | Loss | -118 | 8 h 41 m | Show
Villanova at Butler 7:00 ET Bulldogs over Wildcats- After a shaky start the defending National Champion Wildcats have reeled off six straight victories and are 5-0 in Big East play. Butler is off of 'our' Power Play win on Saturday 80-71 over St. John's and is now 9-1 straight-up at home. Villanova is 3-2 in their five true road games and took 2-of-3 from the Bulldogs last season but are just 2-4 ATS in the last six meetings. The 'price' of this game tells me that Butler is ready to pounce here. Look for the BULLDOGS to sic the Wildcats...take BUTLER! |
01-22-19 | Mississippi State +7 v. Kentucky | Top | 55-76 | Loss | -113 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Kentucky 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Wildcats- No. 8 Kentucky is playing their best ball of the season having won their last four SEC contest and is off an 82-80 win at No. 14 Auburn. Tonight's game is sandwiched between the Wildcats win over the Tigers and a Saturday meeting against No. 9 Big-12 power Kansas. Mississippi State after dropping their first two SEC contests has bounced back winning their last two against Florida and at Vanderbilt. Although Kentucky is 6-1-1 ATS at home in the last eight meetings this is a better Bulldogs club that is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games. Wildcats are just 4-6 as hosts this season. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
01-21-19 | Iowa State +5.5 v. Kansas | 76-80 | Win | 100 | 9 h 17 m | Show
Iowa State at Kansas 9:00 ET Cyclones (+) over Jayhawks- If the Jayhawks ever are to enter a game with revenge on their minds tonight's contest in Lawrence is it. Kansas is off their road loss Saturday to West Virginia (Megabucks winner) and will host Iowa State tonight who pounded the nation's No. 8 team 77-60 at home in early January. The Jayhawks are 10-0 straight-up at home but just 4-6 ATS and are weakened with 7-foot center Udoka Azubuikenad 6-9 Silvo De Sousa sidelined. The Cyclone have covered the last four meetings and seven of the last eight. Take IOWA STATE! |
01-21-19 | Creighton +1.5 v. Georgetown | 91-87 | Win | 100 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Creighton at Georgetown 8:30 ET Blue Jays (+) over Hoyas- Creighton enters this fray having dropped their last four overall and are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games yet they a a virtual pick-em here at Georgetown. The Hoyas who are just 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 against the Big East. The Blue Jays have won three straight games against the Hoyas and lead the Big East in scoring at 83.5 points per contest and with Georgetown just 3-8-1 ATS at home this season and this 'price' tells me they lose outright here. Take CREIGHTON! |
01-21-19 | Virginia Tech +4.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 82-103 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 26 m | Show |
Virginia Tech at North Carolina 7:00 ET Hokies (+) over Tar Heels- When I first saw this matchup I became a bit confused as my first instinct was that North Carolina was the higher ranked team but this is not so as No. 9 Virginia Tech visits the No. 13 ranked Tar Heels. The Hokies at 15-2 broke a seven-games losing streak against the Heels in their last meeting at Blacksburg and that brings the all-time series advantage to Carolina 31-7. Tech bounced back after a 81-59 drubbing by No. 1 Virginia last week but rebounded with a huge win over Wake Forest last time out. The 'price' on this contest tells me the Hokies have a chance to win this game on the floor. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
01-21-19 | Kings +3.5 v. Nets | Top | 94-123 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 56 m | Show |
Sacramento at Brooklyn 3:30 ET Kings (+) over Nets- The two most surprising clubs in the NBA this season go at it in Brooklyn where the 24-22 nets will host the 24-23 Sacramento Kings. These two are virtual mirror images of themselves as the Kings are 11-11 ATS on the road while the Nets are 12-11 ATS at home. Brooklyn is 16-5 straight up in their last 21 games while Sacramento is 4-1 ATS in their last five and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. This is one that may well come down to the final buzzer with the Kings getting the money. Take SACRAMENTO! |
01-19-19 | Virginia v. Duke -3 | 70-72 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 20 m | Show
Virginia at Duke 6:00 ET Cavaliers over Blue Devils- Here come the Cavaliers 16-0 and ranked No. 4 with a defense that always travels well. Virginia has won 13 straight true road games and are 6-1 ATS this season on the road and are 21-8 ATS in their last 29 on the road. The number get even better as the Cavs are 13-2-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings with Duke and the road team is 20-6-1 in the last 27. But the thing that bothers me is that I don't ever remember the Blue Devils as such a small favorite at home. We will take advantage. Take DUKE! |
01-19-19 | St. John's v. Butler -4.5 | 71-80 | Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show
St. John's at Butler 4:30 ET Bulldogs (-) over Red Storm- This 'price' has just knocked me for a loop. I know how 'hot much Red Storm are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight and how they have improved. They have come a long way under Mullin this season with their best start 15-3 in over 20 years. Now, Butler who has been deemed a 5-point opening favorite is just 11-7 on the season and the 'line' and the records of each sort of clash. I expected the Storm to be a small favorite or pick-em...but a 5-point dog! NO WAY! Although the Bulldogs are 8-1 SU at home they are just 4-5 ATS...makes No SENSE. I will take BUTLER! |
01-19-19 | TCU +3 v. Kansas State | 55-65 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 33 m | Show
Texas Christian at Kansas State 4:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Wildcats- After dropping two straight on the road TCU returned home and posted a win over West Virginia and look to even their away record at 2-2. Kansas State has won three straight and leads the series 13-6 since TCU joining conference. The Horned Frogs can 'play' and are aware the winner most likely with be ranked in the Top-25 next week. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
01-19-19 | Thunder +2 v. 76ers | Top | 117-115 | Win | 100 | 5 h 26 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at Philadelphia 3:30 ET Thunder (+) over 76ers- It seems a bit odd that Philadelphia who is at home and have won three straight games and the last two by a total of 66 points should be such a meager favorite here. Oklahoma City has dropped their last two and have surrendered an average 130 points in their last six contests but have had the Sixers 'number' winning the last 18 meetings. Go for 19 today. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
01-19-19 | Kansas v. West Virginia +5 | Top | 64-65 | Win | 100 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Kansas at West Virginia 2:00 ET Mountaineers (+) over Jayhawks- Not quite sure what to make of Bill Huggins squad at 8-9 and winless in Big-12 play (0-5). Kansas would certainly be a contender with Udoka Azuuike at center but they have rebounded well in his absence and have reeled off three straight. The Jayhawks won all three meetings last season but hip hip for the Mountaineers as the home team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings. Huggins sez 'he's embarrassed'...they will play hard Saturday. Take WEST VIRGINIA! |
01-19-19 | Michigan v. Wisconsin +3.5 | 54-64 | Win | 100 | 12 h 32 m | Show
Michigan at Wisconsin 12:00 ET Badgers (+) over Wolverines- What pains me here is that I' believe Michigan is the best team that I have season this season and here 'we' are against them. Wisconsin has been absolutely disgusting losing four of their last five outright with the lone coming against Penn State (0-7). Michigan on the other hand has won 31 of 32 and are probably on a mission after their finals loss to Villanova. But the Badgers are 13-3 against the Wolverines in the last 16 meeting and the underdog is 14-4 ATS in the last 18 meetings. Even though it is just mid-January I think this is a big game for Wisconsin. Get spot at home with points. Take the BADGERS! |
01-19-19 | North Carolina v. Miami-FL +7 | 85-76 | Loss | -107 | 2 h 21 m | Show
North Carolina at Miami 12:00 ET Hurricanes (+) over Tar Heels- The Hurricanes have been a major disappointment to their 'backers at 6-10 ATS and coming up short in a number of important spots. North Carolina is going their thing at 13-4 but are ranked out of the Top-10 at No. 17 while Miami is looking to gain a foothold after a 1-3 ACC start. Senior Ebuka Izundu has picked up his play and has a triple double the past four games. I don't think the Heels are thinking much of this opponent...surprise! Take MIAMI! |
01-18-19 | Warriors v. Clippers +7.5 | 112-94 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 29 m | Show
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Clippers (+) over Warriors- Tonight's the night, the night many have been waiting for as DeMarcus Cousins make his debut with the Golden State Warriors. That's just what the rest of the league needs is the Warriors who have won six straight and 8-of-9 to have another All-star in the line-up. This may end up being a negative situation with Cousin's return as the Warriors already have issues with the fragile ego of Kevin Durant and the idea that they still play with just one basketball. The Clippers have already defeated Golden State 121-116 at LA back in November as they are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Once again...Take the CLIPPERS! |
01-18-19 | Nets v. Magic +1 | 117-115 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 13 m | Show
Brooklyn at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Nets- 'Break-up' the Nets...Brooklyn have won six of their last eight games and 15 of 20 to pull even on the season at 23-23. The Nets haven't been at .500 this late in the season in five years (2014). Orlando had posted a pair of huge home wins over Houston and Boston before losing in overtime to Detroit Wednesday and are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games. Although Brooklyn is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings the Magic have won 16 of their last 21 home games against the Nets. Take ORLANDO! |
01-18-19 | Heat +2.5 v. Pistons | 93-98 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 4 m | Show
Miami at Detroit 7:00 ET Heat (+) over Pistons- Tuesday night 'we' were 1-2 in NFL action with my lone winner coming against the Heat as they were blown out at Milwaukee 124-86. Detroit is off of just their third win in 10 games as they defeated Orlando 120-115 in overtime Wednesday and are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 and have lost 17 of their last 22. Miami has played well on the road going 12-7 ATS while the Pistons are 9-13 ATS as hosts including a 120-115 win at Detroit in November. Add that Miami is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings give 'us' the Heat...Take MIAMI! |
01-18-19 | Northwestern v. Rutgers +1.5 | Top | 65-57 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
Northwestern at Rutgers 7:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Wildcats- A pair of Big Ten also rans meet in New Jersey as Rutgers hosts Northwestern as both teams enter this contest with two straight losses. Both cubs enter 1-5 in conference play with the Knights having a 7-3 SU record at home while the Wildcats are 0-3 both SU and ATS in true road games. Although Northwestern has won nine of 11 meetings in the series Rutgers won at home last season in the only meeting between the two. The Wildcats are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 Friday night games. Take RUTGERS! |
01-17-19 | Michigan State v. Nebraska +2.5 | Top | 70-64 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
Michigan State at Nebraska 8:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Spartans- Something has got to 'give' tonight. No. 6 Michigan State has won 10 straight games since their overtime loss to Louisville including the last four without standout junior guard Joshua Langford and guard Kyle Ahrens for the last two. This will thin out the Spartans back court against a now formidable foe. Nebraska is 9-0 SU at home (6-1-1 ATS) this season and have won 20 in-a-row at Pinnacle Bank Arena. This is where the numbers get good as the Cornhuskers are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games while MSU has won 18 straight Big Ten games and are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. To me the key factor here is the home court advantage and the vast improvement of the Nebraska program as they are 18-6 ATS in their last 24 versus the Big Ten Take NEBRASKA! |
01-17-19 | Kings +3 v. Hornets | Top | 95-114 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 51 m | Show |
Sacramento at Charlotte 7:05 ET Kings (+) over Hornets- Charlotte returns home after a six-game road trip going 2-4 SU while the Kings start their season long six-game road trip tonight. Sacramento has won three straight at home including a 104-97 win over the Hornets last Saturday and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven trips to Charlotte. The Hornets who are off of a huge win at San Antonio are 0-5 ATS following an ATS win and 0-4 ATS after a straight-up win. Take the KINGS! |
01-16-19 | Jazz +1.5 v. Clippers | 129-109 | Win | 100 | 11 h 42 m | Show
Utah at L.A. Clippers 10:35 ET Jazz (+) over Clippers- After a fast start where at one time the L.A. Clippers had the best record in the West but have been on a steady decline since with one good spurt in between. Currently they have lost their last three with two defeating coming at home against New Orleans and Detroit. If James Harden wasn't around Donovan Mitchell who be the leading story in the league as he is on a tear of his own averaging 30 points in his last six contests. Utah has won the last three meetings after having lost 19 of 21 meetings. The Jazz are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and 5-1 ATS in their last six trips to Los Angeles. Take UTAH! |
01-16-19 | Pelicans +7 v. Warriors | 140-147 | Push | 0 | 10 h 27 m | Show
New Orleans at Golden State 10:35 ET Pelicans (+) over Warriors- Golden State sent a message to the Nuggets and the rest of the NBA in Denver last night scoring 51 points in the first quarter taking over the top spot in the West with their 142-111 victory. Tonight the Warriors host New Orleans who brings Anthony Davis will have the help of Jrue Holiday has returned and has scored 20 points or more in 10 straight games along with newcomer Julius Randle who had 27 points last time out. I expect the Warriors to sleep-walk through this game off of last night's blowout win as they are 0-4 ATS playing in the second of back-to-back games. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
01-16-19 | Houston v. SMU | 69-58 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 1 m | Show
Houston at SMU 9:00 ET Mustangs (+) over Cougars- No. 17 ranked Houston enters Dallas 16-1 on the year but have played just three games on the road while winning their last 29 straight at home. SMU got off to a slow start but is 9-2 and five of six since and are tied with Houston at 3-1 in the AAC. The Mustangs were off to a slow start as they had numbers early season injuries but are gaining strength as players return. The odds makers give SMU a decent shot at winning here and so do I. Take SMU! |
01-16-19 | Iowa State +5.5 v. Texas Tech | 68-64 | Win | 100 | 7 h 59 m | Show
Iowa State at Texas Tech 9:00 ET Cyclones (+) over Red Raiders- No. 9 Texas Tech is 16-1 with their lone loss coming against Duke and they are 10-0 at home and is 4-0 inBig-12 action. Iowa State owns a 19-14 series edge but are just 5-10 in Lubbock but have won five of the last seven meetings including three of the last four. The Cyclones have lost their last two after have been dropped out of the Top-25 ranking and will put together an all-out effort tonight. Take IOWA STATE! |
01-16-19 | Nets +5 v. Rockets | 145-142 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Brooklyn at Houston 8:05 ET Nets (+) over Rockets- Hey how about that 'one-man gang' that is leading the limping Rockets who have a pair of starters missing due to injuries. With Chris Paul, Clint Capela and Eric Gordon sidelined Houston is playing short-handed, but as long as they can put five players on the floor and one of them is James Harden they have a shot. Last time out Harden had 36 points by the half and ended up with 57 points as he handles the ball more than ever. Brooklyn who is much improved have had a pair of other opportunities to reach the .500 mark and came up short each time. The Rockets have won the last five in the series but the Nets are 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings in Houston and are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. Take BROOKLYN! |
01-16-19 | Iowa v. Penn State -125 | Top | 89-82 | Loss | -125 | 5 h 2 m | Show |
Iowa at Penn State 7:00 ET Nittany Lions over Hawkeyes- Here we go again...the No. 24 ranked team Iowa is 14-3 straight-up with three straight Big Ten wins and is an underdog to a club that is 7-10 overall and 0-6 in Big Ten play and have lost their last four entering tonights action. Iowa has won eight of their last nine games and coach Fran McCaffery's club will be most likely be without leading scorer and rebounder Tyler Cook (17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds). Penn State won both meetings last season and are actually 5-3 SU at home while Iowa in 1-2 in true road games. Although he Lions are 2-8-1 ATS overall in their last 11 games the Hawkeyes are just 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 road games. Making Penn State the favorite tells me (I hope) that they get the Money here. Take PENN STATE! |
01-15-19 | Warriors v. Nuggets +2 | Top | 142-111 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
Golden State at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Warriors- The Denver Nuggets have the best record in the West a half-game better than the Warriors and yet the odds maker is having difficulty showing them respect. Golden State opened the favorite tonight in Denver and the hosts have taken exception to that. The Nuggets are 18-3 straight-up at home and the Warriors are just 8-12 ATS on the road. Denver is 4-0 ATS at home in their last four against teams with winning records and add that Golden State is 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings. Take DENVER! |
